We booked Dat Band for our wedding in New Orleans and they were amazing! I had not heard of them before but through word of mouth was told I should book them for our wedding and so glad we did! They kept the party going all night long and our guests didn’t want to leave at the end of the night! Would absolutely recommend them for a wedding or any event you need live music.

Dat Band was absolutely incredible and made our wedding unforgettable! From the very first interaction, working with Chad and his team was an absolute pleasure. They were professional, organized, and so easy to work with, which made the planning process seamless. On the day of the wedding, they completely killed it! Their energy was amazing and their talent had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Our guests are still raving about how amazing the band was! If you’re considering a wedding band, stop searching and book Dat Band now. They are worth every single penny and more. DatBand was the hit of the night! Everyone at our event could not stop talking about how great the band was and how perfect the setlist was. They did a great job of listening to what we wanted our event to feel like in terms of music/vibe and then made it a reality. Dat Band was incredible!! Working with Chad made it so easy to get exactly what we wanted for our wedding, he made a special hybrid band so that we could have salsa music (for my family) and Louisiana classics ( for my husband) which couldn't have been easy! My only regret from my wedding is that I literally didn't leave the dance floor once, so I never saw my venue or guests lol totally worth it! Book these guys to get the party started!!

We had an awesome time at our wedding. Chad did such an amazing job with the planning prior to the wedding. The band was so much fun and got everyone on the dance floor. Incredible!!! I don't think we got off the dance floor all night, and neither did our guests! They were able to read the room and get things hopping from the minute everyone came through the doors! The female vocalist was outstanding in particular! We loved every minute having Dat Band be our entertainment! I've been to weddings where it's like pulling teeth to get people out there and having fun, and that was definitely not the case with ours. People are still raving about how much fun they had.. we can't thank yall enough for the good time!

Every time someone talks to me or my wife about our wedding, they ALWAYS bring up Dat Band and how great the music was! Dat Band was super professional, easy to work and accommodate with, and created an amazing experience for our big day. From the time they opened the dance floor to the end of the wedding, people were dancing to the music, and everyone who attended said it was because of Dat Band. Dat Band brought the party to our wedding! They were hands down the BEST decision we made besides getting married. Dat Band was everything we asked for and so much more than we expected. The music was amazing, absolutely the best band I’ve heard at a wedding. The singers were wonderful…. They sang with non-stop energy all night and were engaged with guests from the beginning to the very end. They even gave the bride and groom a celebrity name and had the whole place chanting it between songs. Chad was great to work with ahead of time and very easy to contact. He was very responsive with pricing and options. The band honored the requested playlist perfectly and played a wide ride of music that appealed to everyone. I would hire Dat Band for any event in the future, especially another wedding. I highly recommend Dat Band based on the music, the fun and energy they brought, the range of music played, the ease of working with them, and the price.

We had to reschedule our wedding due to covid , and our band was the only vendor who couldn’t do our new date. So we found Dat Band- and we are SO glad it worked out this way. Dat band absolutely exceeded our expectations! Armando was so easy to work with, and so kind and responsive. I pretty much hand picked their playlist- the live music they played (80s and 90s of course!) as well as specific rap songs we wanted played during their quick breaks. Not only did they follow our list as requested, but every song they played was phenomenal. The artists are so talented - our dance floor was packed all night! Even two years later, people still ask us who our band was, and compliment our choice. We are very glad fate hooked us up with Dat Band. Highly recommend!

This is the Band you need at your wedding! Easy to work with and great song selections. I had a guitarist for my background and ceremony music and the 8 piece band for my 4 hour reception. Great energy that kept everyone on the dance floor. The vocalist was excellent and interacted with the guests. Guests keep telling me how great the band was and how much fun the had. Dat Band exceeded all my expectations and more!!

Edited for addtl context after reading vendor response: Pros: 1. The musicians themselves are SO talented. A violin + cello provided background music for guest arrival & ceremony. An 8-piece band with two vocalists provided music for the 3-hour set during the reception. When the live musicians were playing, everyone was in awe. I believe our vocalists were Victoria and Clay, and they absolutely killed it. It felt like being at a concert. 2. Online booking site is easy to use and organized. 3. They understood the concept of a venue "flip" and could pull it off (for an additional fee). Cons: 1. We had asked the band to keep the bride's processional a secret/special song only to be used for processional. Chad/Holly had made a note of it. Musicians practiced the song multiple times on the day of the wedding as guests arrived and while the groom was in the room. Made it a little underwhelming/ruined the "surprise" when it played as the bride walked in. 2. Incorrect song played for recessional. Violin + cello started playing a live song rather than our requested recorded song being played. Someone corrected the musicians after a few seconds, but we were halfway down the aisle, and it was just a bit awkward. 3. Bouquet Toss announced incorrectly. We had discussed multiple times with Chad/Holly that we wanted an untraditional toss, and we wanted all guests participating. They announced the usual "single ladies" toss, which we did not want. Bride had to request mic on the night of the wedding to correct the band. 4. Coordination between band and day-of coordinator not great. Parent dances started 45-55 minutes late. Band notes that coordinator should be in charge of timeline (which is fair), but coordinator (from trusted local company) says band was not following directives/cues throughout evening. 5. DJ add-on: We had spoken with Chad several times about having an outside DJ hired for our last 90 minute set. We were told this was initially not an issue. We found out about a month before the wedding that Dat Band would start removing all our upgraded dance floor lighting (which we paid extra for) and break down all equipment before our DJ set began. We thought this would kill the vibe of party before it was over. We feel we were talked into using Dat Band's DJ add-on in order to avoid the early breakdown. Chad knew we were firing our original DJ in order to make the switch. On the night of the wedding (we didn't find out until it was happening) but Dat Band's DJ add-on is actually a laptop playlist + speaker. Chad is seated at drumset for this set while music plays. Music had full gaps between songs - like playing a Spotify playlist at home. While we're sure other couples are fine with this setup, Chad was aware we were trying to achieve something more energetic with that last hour. He never mentioned on ANY of our calls that their offering would not be the same. Agree to disagree on clarity of contract. We feel calling this "DJ-style" is still inaccurate/misleading. We expressed our disappointment on the night of the wedding. Chad refunded us the cost of of this DJ add-on. We did not ask for this. We appreciate the gesture; however, we would have appreciated more professional communication so that we knew what to expect. We would have kept our original DJ. We wanted to end the night with more energy. Dat Band will go on to play hundreds of other weddings. We just get one. A refund will unfortunately not give that night back to us.

I can’t speak more highly of a live band to play at your wedding or next event. Armando was easy to work with, taking requests before our wedding and assuring us that he would play songs based on the crowd at the event. We could not have asked for a better song selection to keep our guests out on the dance floor the entire night, have a memorable second line, and just overall have a great time. We have received countless compliments on the band following our wedding reception and would highly recommend Dat Band to anyone who wants live music at their next event!

What an amazing experience with Dat Band! I knew right when I heard Armando’s voice I wanted to book them for my wedding! From the beginning he was very prompt with answering my emails, which was then passed to Holly the band project manager. She answered every question I had, FaceTimed me when I was stressing out over making sure everything was set up with the band. When I needed to find something for another vendor I had sent to her, within 10mins she had the information and sent it to me! She without a doubt helped ease my stress! Once I found out Armando was going to be the male singer for my wedding I could have cried with joy, actually I may have cried lol they arrived and set everything up how they needed to. I was able to talk with Armando before hand and introduce myself, such a sweet and easy to work with guy! Any song request that I came up with during my reception they made happen. Excellent, excellent band to work with. Now, if Armando would come out with some songs to be able to download and listen to my life would be that much better! I truly am going to miss conversating with them both! Thank y’all again so much!

I cannot recommend Dat Band enough!!!! They just did our destination wedding in New Orleans this weekend and it was the best time ever. Dat Band says they bring the party and they truly mean it. Our families have been raving about them ever since. They were super easy to work with, thank you Holly and Chad. Another great thing they do is read the room, they knew all the right songs to play just by us giving them our top 10 list. They also coordinated the entire second line and it could not have been any better. 100% one of the top vendors on our wedding day.

Dat Band was absolutely amazing!! They kept the dance floor packed all night, exactly as promised, and they did such a great job reading the crowd! So many of our guests talked to us after the reception about how much they loved the band, and how awesome it was to have a live band at a New Orleans wedding. The band members were so fun and took the time before the reception started to check in with us, which was super sweet. They even did Jello shots with us during a set break! We would one hundred percent endorse booking them for your wedding celebration (or for any party, for that matter!) if you're looking for amazing energy and excellent music! Thanks so much, y'all!

Dat Band surpassed all expectations! They were absolutley amazing! Once the dance floor opened, no guests left. They truly gave us an amazing wedding. They played to our crowd and even picked up on certain phrases our guests were using to help keep everyone engaged. I would book them again in a heart beat.

I planned my NOLA wedding from Texas with a short turn-around so I didn't have much time to research many of my vendors. My wedding planner recommended Dat Band and when we their song list, we liked that they had a lot of 70s and funk, and with limited time on our hands, we booked them. Their performance at the wedding was great and they seamlessly set up and tore down their set. The knock on the stars has to do with my desire for a certain level of customer service that I did not receive. 1. Dat Band is pretty expensive. I haven't compared to others to say whether they are above industry standard but they are enough of an investment to where one should expect total satisfaction. Their cost should have yielded 5 stars from me. They also had a big neon sign advertising the band on their stage which was extremely tacky. 2. We went through every single song on their song list (100s of songs) and gave the band a final list of all the songs we were accepting of. We made it clear that we obviously don't expect every song to be played but there was enough for the band to curate their set list while staying within our request. This was initially met by resistance, then understanding, and at the wedding, there were definitely songs played that we didn't want. 3. I asked if we could use their speakers for the 3 min ceremony music. I was told this would be a $300 charge. I almost accepted until I realized I was going to have to rent speakers anyway for when the band was finished and we would play other music. I thought it was quite disrespectful and greedy that they wouldn't let us use their speakers for the few minutes needed for the ceremony. And I was later told that during the ceremony some guests in the back near the band couldn't hear the officiant because the band kept chatting. This guest was so frustrated he almost went to tell them something but didn't want to disrupt the ceremony. 4. This is a corporate band, I'm not sure exactly how it works but it sounded like a management company that that has a roster of musicians it can pull from (just my assumption). I would have preferred a local New Orleans band that brought some authenticity but since we had already booked I thought maybe the corporate route would ensure some professionalism. Overall, the band members performed well but I recommend doing some shopping around before committing. And make sure to establish your wishes up front, ask for some grace and hospitality, and don't settle for the corporate template. Cheers!

Dat Band was an absolute blast and so fun to work with! Holly listened to all of our requests leading up to the wedding, and on the day of, Chad and the rest of the band brought their A game! They read the crowd so well, and we got so many compliments on the music from people of all ages. We were so glad we could also book our second line through Dat Band as well. The second line was definitely one of the highlights of the night! Thank you for making our wedding night one to remember!

An amazing experience from start to finish. We were a little intimidated by the process of finding a wedding band for our destination wedding in New Orleans (on 3/26/2022) and Chad and his team made the process so easy. We had an initial virtual meeting in which Chad answered all of our questions and more. Their pricing and options are very straight forward and they have a great method of gathering info to ensure that they capture the vibe that we wanted. We are also so incredibly grateful for their flexibility. Due to an issue with our venue, Chad and his team had to change their set up to a different location within the property and did so seamlessly. Our guests raved about Dat Band! Many of our guest remarked that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to and Chad and his team absolutely played a huge role in this. We can't thank them enough for helping to make our big day an epic party!

We were so pleased with Dat Band throughout the planning and wedding weekend! It was important to us that the band is high-energy and keeps the crowd on the dance floor, and they absolutely delivered! Our guests of all ages had a blast at our reception. Chad was so responsive and professional in our initial inquiry; we felt assured Dat Band would be the right fit for us. They went above and beyond during the planning to do a site visit with us and coordinate with the reception venue and make sure everything from the space to the sound quality to the power requirements would work smoothly. We had no worries on the day that they had it covered. Leading up to the day, Chad and Holly were so accommodating to our requests and made sure the vibe we had in mind was captured.

AMAZING! AMAZING! I booked Dat Band during covid when no one was really able to play. I had never heard Dat Band play before and all I knew of them was their videos and reviews. Let me tell you, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The wedding was almost two months ago and I still have people contacting me and talking about how amazing and fun they were! They got on the dance floor with us singing and dancing and kept everyone on the dance floor! I cannot reccommend Dat Band enough! So amazing to work with! You NEED them for any event! Dat Band is AMAZING! From the time they started playing to the time the reception ended, no one left the dance floor. We are so thankful to have had such an incredible band for our big day, and our guests have not stopped raving about Dat Band! When searching for a band, we were SO impressed with Emily, and we are so glad she was able to get the party going for us! THE BEST EVER EVER!!!!!!! I don't know anyone who had a Nola wedding and didn't use them. They are SO accommodating in every single way. They know TONS of amazing covers, their vocalist is sooooo incredibly talented, they have all of their own equipment, they help navigate the wedding timeline, they insisted on getting me and my husband (I'm rather shy when it comes to stuff like that) up there dancing with them and I am SO thankful they broke me out of my shell (mostly for pics/video hahaha). Anyway - I can't say enough good things about them! They did our entire ceremony music, our rehearsal, and our second line for a VERY reasonable price!!! DEFINITELY USE THEM!!!!!!!!

Dat Band is the BEST wedding band in the South. PERIOD. FULL STOP. This band, lead by Armando, is extremely easy to work with. They were dependable and reliable, competitively priced, and helped us with the planning logistics and building the set-list, with attention to detail so we got everything and more on our special day. How great is this band? Well, on the day of our wedding we had a last minute cancellation by our separate fine string ensemble that was scheduled to play during our wedding ceremony. Armando and Dat Band quickly came to our rescue and offered to help by having the band's amazing guitarist step in and play the ceremony set without skipping a beat! THEY SAVED THE DAY for us without hesitation. That goes above and beyond what I would expect from a band and it speaks volumes about their quality and character. We HIGHLY recommend you hire them for your wedding! You will not be disappointed with the party they throw -their energy and passion kept our wedding guests dancing all night. CHEERS to Dat Band!

You cannot go wrong with Dat Band! Chad has made their booking process seamless with lots of options for customization. We used them for both ceremony and reception. The ceremony music Chad suggested was perfect and our dance floor was packed all night. Some of our own guests have already hired Dat Band for their own upcoming events!

DAT BAND was absolutely fabulous and so accommodating to all of our request and song choices. The guest did not want the party to end because they enjoyed the band so much and wanted to know how we found this awesome band. Date Band was absolutely fantastic! Every person we spoke to absolutely loved them. Three weeks later we are still getting asked "Who was Dat Band? They were awesome!". They had the dance floor rocking from start to finish. The dance off was absolutely killer! They accommodated every song request and made the night as perfect as can be. Dat Band played at our wedding reception in March 2021 and they were absolutely fantastic! We had to move our wedding 3 different times due to Covid but Chad and Dat Band were so flexible and easy to work with when it came to rescheduling. They were professional and were super responsive! Their talent is unmatched and I have had several guests ask me for their contact information for their upcoming weddings. I highly recommend Dat Band! They made our night so fun and energetic. We loved them!

Dat Band played our wedding ceremony and reception this February and I truly can’t even thank them enough for creating the most fun and personalized atmosphere for us! Chad checked in several times with our COVID updates, was always timely with responses and was so patient with our many many changes. Ultimately, Dat Band made all of our dreams come true... our guests raved about the Second Line and reception music! Not only amazing artists but really good people to work with. Dat Band played at our wedding and they were INCREDIBLE! I knew we wanted to hire them after seeing their extensive song list. They can do everything from old to new, rock, rap, country, etc. About a month before the wedding you fill out a detailed form regarding the songs you do and don’t want to hear. They do an amazing job of following this form! They also took song requests during the reception but they never played songs I didn’t want to hear. Everyone danced all night! In addition to their extensive song list they will learn up to 3 songs of your choice. There’s really nothing bad I can say about them and I can’t thank Dat Band enough for making our wedding fun and unforgettable!

Chad and the band were so personable and professional. Having Dat Band play at our wedding was so important to us that we moved our venue to accommodate them to play outside to adhere to COVID restrictions. They kept us dancing all night! Everyone loved the band. Thanks for making our long awaited day so fun.

Dat Band played at our wedding this last weekend and exceeded all of our expectations! We loved being able to customize the size of the band and the option to have both a male and female singer. Not only did they look and sound amazing but they were genuinely sweet and so easy to work with. Our venue coordinator made sure to tell us how bad she felt about the loading area being full when they arrived and that the guys said no problem and parked down the street. She was so impressed with their easy going attitudes that she went out of her way to share with me the day after. Chad definitely helped calm me down the week of the wedding and was just as cool in person. They played the most FUN music and kept the crowd engaged and on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! They played to our guests of all ages and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect set list myself! They played all of our special requests and none of our ‘do not play’ songs. And lastly, that red glitter lipstick was FIRE!
