Dave was absolutely wonderful to work with for our engagement and wedding photos. When we were deciding on who to hire as our photographer, Dave stood out as someone who got to kno...
w us and what we were looking for from a photographer. As a couple just figuring things out in the wedding planning process, Dave made it very easy to plan for our timeline and desired photos.
During both the engagement session and wedding day, Dave helped us capture great moments and had fun with us and our wedding party along the way. Not only did we love working with him, we received several unsolicited comments from our friends and family about how great our photographer was, which truly speaks to Dave's high quality work and friendly personality. I highly recommend Dave to anyone in need of a photographer.
Dave took photos of our friends' wedding, and we LOVED how they turned out. When my husband and I got engaged, it was a no-brainer to reach out to Dave to capture our special day. ...
We are so grateful we did. From our initial consult up to our wedding day, Dave was a joy to work with. He helped plan out our wedding day timeline and was ready with photo ideas based on our venue. During the busy day of, Dave was prompt and professional in getting all of the shots we wanted, while capturing unplanned moments, like INCREDIBLE rain pictures! Dave was fun and eager to take advantage of every photo opportunity that came up throughout the day. We LOVE LOVE LOVE our photos. Thank you so much, Dave!!
I will never be able to do this review justice! My husband and I originally hired a different photographer to do our engagement pictures and we didn't love them. Therefore, we had ...
to find a new photographer for our wedding. Hiring a wedding photographer without doing an engagement session with them is scary but as soon as we had our first video chat with Dave, I had no doubt he was going to do an amazing job! He is seriously the easiest vendor to work with and was by far our favorite vendor! His personality is so easy to mesh with. Leading up to our wedding, part of my excitement was literally just to meet Dave in person! He was so fun on the wedding day yet so professional. He had all of my pinterest inspo poses memorized! He made sure no one was ever in the background! Our sneak peak looked SO good! Can't wait to see the rest of the photos! He will for sure be our family photographer as we start a family.
I will be 100% recommending Dave to all of my friends for their wedding day!
We had Dave as our Photogrpaher for our engagement photos and for our wedding day! I cannot say enough...
amazing things about Dave! He made taking our photos feel so fun and so effortless! Our photos came back and they are AMAZING!!!! He captured the day in such a fun and authentic way! His attitude and personality every time we talked to him or worked with him was so happy, so enthusiastic, and so independent!
We were so excited to hire dave. He interviewed so well. Sounded like a great time and he’d get the photos we wanted. A little pricey but we figured we only get one chance at a wed...
ding so we hired him.
He told us he’d do his best to get all the shots we wanted ( I asked for 17 specific ones. He missed 8)
Brought along a second photographer and the guy took the same photos dave did. I was hoping one would stand at the front of the aisle to get me walking and another to get my husband’s reaction.. nope. We don’t have one good photo to frame of that.
A lot of the important pictures are awful. He put together an album for us, he chose so many pictures he could have cropped to avoid someone’s face too close in the photo, but he didn’t take the time.
His personality on the day of, rough. Stressed. He Stressed US out.
He complained that the Dj wasn’t working with him, when the DJ was right on time and Dave missed the cake cutting and a lot of events. Bridal party entrance pictures along with most of his work, has to be supplemented from my friends and family’s phones which did a better job. Every time I ask him to tweak anything, he refuses, even though we TALKED about him doing 3-4 pictures where he truly edits them instead of his “usual presets” he uses to edit his photos in bulk.
Weddings are so so special, and couples deserve to have their pictures to keep and love forever.. I hope other couples can be informed from our experience and find someone to give them the photos they deserve.
We worked with Dave for our wedding on Labor Day weekend – he was AMAZING! Dave was one of the best decisions we made. He was professional, responsive, warm, and a blast to work wi...
th. He also, incredibly, memorized nearly everyone’s name in our entire wedding party (26 people!) and family. I’ve never seen anything like it. We feel extremely lucky to have worked with him and we LOVE the pictures. We hired Dave for both our Friday night rehearsal dinner and our wedding day and we truly could not be happier with how everything went. If you are lucky enough to be able to hire Dave, don’t hesitate! He’s the best of the best!
DAVE IS YOUR GUY! He was hands down our favorite vendor to work with. We met with him twice before our wedding and he made us feel so calm about our day, as if we were just working...
with a friend. We had everything planned out, but unfortunately Mother Nature had a different idea because it was a DOWN POUR. Dave had to think quick on his feet for new picture sites and he handled everything with ease. He shot a lot of our bridal party pictures and portraits during a severe storm with camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other all while still carrying that same calming personality and friendliness attitude 😉. We got so many compliments on the pick of our photographer from our family to bridal party to guests. Thank you so much, Dave!
Dave went above and beyond our expectations as our wedding photographer. Prior to the wedding he helped us configure a timeline of events for the day including which types of pictu...
res he would be taking (down to five minute increments)! He truly made the day flow seamlessly and effortlessly. He was direct, professional, extremely punctual, calming, and at the same time easygoing! He knew what had to be done, easily corralled my large wedding party, kept us on track, and got all the shots and more than I had dreamed of! His pictures were breathtaking and he made a gorgeous wedding album for us to look back on. We cannot commend Dave enough!
Dave has been incredible every step of the way. We had to cancel our reception due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but decided to still throw a small ceremony in my mom’s backyard this y...
ear and postpone the reception until next year. We were able to split his photography hours between this year and next year at no additional cost. He even waited out a rain delay at our ceremony this year to make sure that we got the best pictures possible. My husband and I do not love the spotlight, but Dave made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. He made sure that he captured our personalities and didn’t force any poses that we didn’t feel comfortable with or that didn’t reflect our relationship. The pictures look absolutely stunning, and we can’t wait to see what next year's pictures will look like. We would 100% would recommend Dave for any of your portrait needs!!
Dave is awesome! He was great to work with leading up to the wedding and shared what we were looking for based on the wedding day's schedule. He's definitely a pro at what he does ...
and was able to offer suggestions when we weren't sure what we wanted, and we were completely happy with how everything turned out! It ended up raining on wedding day (outdoor wedding), but Dave was able to make everything turn out beautifully and was able to adapt quickly to make sure we still got group photos. He also impressed us with is ability to accommodate our ridiculously ginormous wedding party of 12 groomsmen and 13 bridesmaids! We can't thank you enough, Dave! We are so happy with how our wedding photos turned out!
Dave is magical. His photos make you look like you're in a wonderland; they capture the emotions - not just the people in it. After interviewing nearly a dozen photographers, we ch...
ose Dave. We asked him all sorts of questions; how confident is he with shooting at night or in low light? Does he bring an extra photographer? How many photos does he usually give to brides/grooms after their weddings? Is there a travel fee? Etc. He hit the ball out of the park and made us feel confident and relieved. We knew we were hiring one of the best.
On the day of our wedding, Dave and his second photographer showed up on time. They immediately got to work. Their insight and creativity blew me away. They even helped with posing and advice for the guys on how to be more photogenic. They brought their own ideas to the table that they wanted to experiment with. Our photos turned out beautiful and even to this day, family and friends are RAVING about our wedding photos.
We chose Dave as our wedding photographer because he spent extra time with us early on in our planning process to ask questions and really understand our vision for our wedding. Ou...
r first experience with him photographing our engagement session and we had so much fun with him! He was such a great sport hiking the trails of Devils Lake to make sure we got the best photos and lighting. On our wedding day, I can’t even explain how incredible true photos were. They truly blew us away. On top of getting amazing quality photos and capturing every wonderful moment, he was so much fun and our wedding party absolutely loved him. Taking photos can be awkward and his easy going sense of humor put everyone at ease when asked to pose or stand a certain way. He is seriously the best! We’d recommend him for any event. You cannot go wrong. Thank you so much for everything, Dave!!!
I can't say enough great things about Dave. He is without a doubt the best decision we made for our wedding day.
From our very first meeting with Dave he was professional (even cr...
eating a tentative timeline) yet personable (taking the time to ask questions and getting to know us), flexible (willing to work with us on budget and his photography packages) and inviting our input on the process. He was also very reliable on communication as well - checking in every few months and sharing in our excitement in the lead-up to our wedding!
From our amazing engagement photos to the 40 or so photos we've (ALREADY!!) received from our wedding (less than a week later), Dave captures our emotion and uniqueness in such a special way in addition to taking beautiful portraits. I cannot recommend Dave highly enough.

otos. He did a wonderful job as did his second shooter. He is so much fun to work with! He has a wonderful sense of humor and was able to make all our family/friends feel comfortable taking photos at the wedding. We just got back 700 edited photos from the wedding... in less than two weeks. That's UNHEARD of!! His package also comes with a beautiful printed album and a few prints. I just really can't say enough about how great Dave was to work with. A++
We first met Dave at the bridal expo in Madison. It was nearing the end of the day and we were exhausted, but Dave was friendly (without being pushy) and his work was beautiful. We...
set up a consultation with him shortly thereafter. He was organized, professional, and thorough. We hired him and could not be happier that we did! Dave made us feel at ease and his easygoing attitude was quickly noticed by the rest of the wedding party. His humor helped make our day that much more enjoyable. At the reception we had family and friends mention how great our photographer was, which was a delight to hear. We received our pictures very quickly (just over a week after the wedding) and were thrilled with the final results. The book is beautiful, the prints are great and the USB is quite nifty. Choosing Dave Stremikis Photography was by far one of our best wedding decisions!
Dave was the perfect wedding photographer! He is a true professional who takes the time to get to know everyone in the wedding party to help them feel comfortable. Sometimes taking...
pictures is awkward and he did such a great job helping everyone feel at home. Dave's relaxed personality, funny jokes, and knowledge of photography produced some incredible photos. We tried some unique poses and some classics to create a beautiful album.
Dave is a fantastic photographer that I would recommend to any couple. Thanks!

ith "must have" photos. Dave is so professional and had such a good eye for great photo spots around Madison, WI... it was easy to trust him on one of the biggest days of our lives. He made sure to capture every moment and then some! We have seen great previews to our photos and are so excited to see the rest! Thank you Dave!
