w us and what we were looking for from a photographer. As a couple just figuring things out in the wedding planning process, Dave made it very easy to plan for our timeline and desired photos.
During both the engagement session and wedding day, Dave helped us capture great moments and had fun with us and our wedding party along the way. Not only did we love working with him, we received several unsolicited comments from our friends and family about how great our photographer was, which truly speaks to Dave's high quality work and friendly personality. I highly recommend Dave to anyone in need of a photographer.

We are so grateful we did. From our initial consult up to our wedding day, Dave was a joy to work with. He helped plan out our wedding day timeline and was ready with photo ideas based on our venue. During the busy day of, Dave was prompt and professional in getting all of the shots we wanted, while capturing unplanned moments, like INCREDIBLE rain pictures! to find a new photographer for our wedding. Hiring a wedding photographer without doing an engagement session with them is scary but as soon as we had our first video chat with Dave, I had no doubt he was going to do an amazing job! He is seriously the easiest vendor to work with and was by far our favorite vendor! His personality is so easy to mesh with. Leading up to our wedding, part of my excitement was literally just to meet Dave in person! He was so fun on the wedding day yet so professional. He had all of my pinterest inspo poses memorized! He made sure no one was ever in the background! Our sneak peak looked SO good! Can't wait to see the rest of the photos! He will for sure be our family photographer as we start a family.
I will be 100% recommending Dave to all of my friends for their wedding day!

He told us he’d do his best to get all the shots we wanted ( I asked for 17 specific ones. He missed 8)
Brought along a second photographer and the guy took the same photos dave did. I was hoping one would stand at the front of the aisle to get me walking and another to get my husband’s reaction.. nope. We don’t have one good photo to frame of that.
A lot of the important pictures are awful. He put together an album for us, he chose so many pictures he could have cropped to avoid someone’s face too close in the photo, but he didn’t take the time.
His personality on the day of, rough. Stressed. He Stressed US out.
He complained that the Dj wasn’t working with him, when the DJ was right on time and Dave missed the cake cutting and a lot of events. Bridal party entrance pictures along with most of his work, has to be supplemented from my friends and family’s phones which did a better job. Every time I ask him to tweak anything, he refuses, even though we TALKED about him doing 3-4 pictures where he truly edits them instead of his “usual presets” he uses to edit his photos in bulk.
Weddings are so so special, and couples deserve to have their pictures to keep and love forever.. I hope other couples can be informed from our experience and find someone to give them the photos they deserve.

th. He also, incredibly, memorized nearly everyone’s name in our entire wedding party (26 people!) and family. I’ve never seen anything like it. We feel extremely lucky to have worked with him and we LOVE the pictures. We hired Dave for both our Friday night rehearsal dinner and our wedding day and we truly could not be happier with how everything went. with a friend. We had everything planned out, but unfortunately Mother Nature had a different idea because it was a DOWN POUR. Dave had to think quick on his feet for new picture sites and he handled everything with ease. He shot a lot of our bridal party pictures and portraits during a severe storm with camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other all while still carrying that same calming personality and friendliness attitude 😉. He was direct, professional, extremely punctual, calming, and at the same time easygoing! He knew what had to be done, easily corralled my large wedding party, kept us on track, and got all the shots and more than I had dreamed of! His pictures were breathtaking and he made a gorgeous wedding album for us to look back on. We cannot commend Dave enough!

ear and postpone the reception until next year. We were able to split his photography hours between this year and next year at no additional cost. He even waited out a rain delay at our ceremony this year to make sure that we got the best pictures possible. My husband and I do not love the spotlight, but Dave made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. He made sure that he captured our personalities and didn’t force any poses that we didn’t feel comfortable with or that didn’t reflect our relationship. The pictures look absolutely stunning, and we can’t wait to see what next year's pictures will look like. We would 100% would recommend Dave for any of your portrait needs!!

It ended up raining on wedding day (outdoor wedding), but Dave was able to make everything turn out beautifully and was able to adapt quickly to make sure we still got group photos. He also impressed us with is ability to accommodate our ridiculously ginormous wedding party of 12 groomsmen and 13 bridesmaids! We can't thank you enough, Dave! How many photos does he usually give to brides/grooms after their weddings? Is there a travel fee? Etc. He hit the ball out of the park and made us feel confident and relieved. We knew we were hiring one of the best.
On the day of our wedding, Dave and his second photographer showed up on time. They immediately got to work. Their insight and creativity blew me away. They even helped with posing and advice for the guys on how to be more photogenic. They brought their own ideas to the table that they wanted to experiment with. Our photos turned out beautiful and even to this day, family and friends are RAVING about our wedding photos.

He was such a great sport hiking the trails of Devils Lake to make sure we got the best photos and lighting. On our wedding day, I can’t even explain how incredible true photos were. They truly blew us away. On top of getting amazing quality photos and capturing every wonderful moment, he was so much fun and our wedding party absolutely loved him. Taking photos can be awkward and his easy going sense of humor put everyone at ease when asked to pose or stand a certain way. He is seriously the best! We’d recommend him for any event.
