We were lucky enough to have Dave and Melissa cater our wedding, and if you are even thinking about hiring them, stop and do it now.
I work in the food industry, so I knew our gu...
ests would have high expectations, but Dave and Melissa exceeded them by far. The food was hands down the best we have ever had at a wedding, and guests are still raving to us about the leeks, brisket, and whole pig. Also, we'll never forget the late snacks; the brie grilled cheese and smash burgers were such a hit!
One of the best parts was their flexibility in creating a menu that reflected our preferences. People loved watching them cook everything live, which added an amazing energy and visual element to the day. But most of all, people loved the food; beautifully prepared, perfectly executed, and full of flavor.
Beyond their talent in the kitchen, Dave and Melissa were kind, thoughtful, and made us feel completely taken care of. They even checked in on me after I got a concussion right before the wedding and handled all our questions with patience. They truly helped create the best day of our lives, and we cannot recommend them highly enough!!
We had the pleasure of having Dave cater our wedding, and he did an absolutely phenomenal job! The highlight of the meal was the whole lamb, which was perfectly cooked—juicy, tende...
r, and bursting with flavor. In addition to the lamb, Dave created an array of creative dishes that had our guests raving. Each plate was beautifully presented and offered something unique and delicious.
What truly impressed us was how well-organized Dave and his team were, despite the somewhat chaotic environment with around 60 guests. They handled everything with professionalism and made sure the service ran smoothly. From setup to cleanup, the team stayed on top of everything, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Dave for anyone looking for exceptional food and service!
Incredible job by Dave and his team catering our wedding! The food was delicious, and he was able to accommodate all our requests. What a vibe :)
Planning a wedding is not easy. In fact it’s overwhelming and unrelenting. But when we met Dave and Melissa, we finally believed we could do it.
Working with Dave and Melissa is ...
literally all we needed to actually believe we could have a day that was genuinely ours. Dreammakers and more. They cared about our vision, and then pushed it further. We had a budget that they worked with, creating a menu based on what type of cuisines we wanted to feature.
What catering company is going to work with your desires and invent something just for you?! When we wanted to have tons of drink options, they gave us solutions. Most catering companies give you a little for A LOT, but Dave and Melissa made it happen specifically for us.
I think what makes them a great pair too is just how much they loved their own wedding and wanting to ensure that the couple too remembers this moment in the same way. They communicated clearly, and when we wanted to have sake cups as a wedding gift, Dave being who he is brokered a deal with a local ceramics class. It was obviously a huge hit.
Did we mention that the food was UNBELIEVABLE? If you want to throw a wedding that feels authentic to you as a couple, Melissa and Dave are the best people around. We are so grateful to have found them, and couldn’t recommend them enough. Still feeling love and gratitude for them and their team.
Dave and Melissa are genuinely amazing people who really deliver on their services. Highly recommend 10/10.

I hired Bang Bang Events and Dave the Butcher last year to organize the reception of my wedding. My husband and I wanted to have our ceremony in a more intimate setting while our r...
eception had the freedom to be big, loud, and fun.
I had several "dos and don'ts" and although I wouldn't consider myself a bridezilla, I was certainly particular to say the least. Melissa and Dave were so delicate with my vision and they truly delivered. The reception was breathtaking. The food was just an absolute masterpiece. YUM. Dave is a pro! The decor and the flow of the night were a walk in the park for Melissa. Another total pro. I would (and will) work with these two again in a heartbeat.
My love goes out to this company and for those of you wondering if they're the right fit... they are EVERYONE'S right fit.
The food, the party, the staff -- 10/10!!
I have been blessed to attend a few Bang Bang events with Dave the Butcher as the exclusive food vendor. They have all been different. I ...
was invited to my first about a year ago and it was a fine dining experience with live music and honestly the most gorgeous plating and table display. The last event was much different and even still, they executed it wonderfully. This one was outdoors and a little more down to earth. Lavish -- but in a way that made you feel welcome no matter how you showed up. By the end of it, I couldn't decide which I liked more.
Bang Bang Events really has a way of making any experience feel authentic and cared about. They clearly have an eye for planning. The sky is the limit with these guys for real.
The food is world-class. You can tell how much time and effort goes into preparing each dish, and that care shines through. The diversity in the offerings is evident as well, which...
speaks to the range that Dave the Butcher can offer. There's not much more I can say other than each dish I have had has left me wanting more. If you get the chance to try their food, don't miss out.

ct the personal and familiar setting of our event but with a bit of “wow!” because you know at the return of any wedding the first question always asked is “so, how was the food?” Dave and Melissa (AKA Bang Bang events) did not disappoint!
The live fire cooking presentation of a whole lamb circled by an abundance of brightly colored vegetables and peppers that slowly turned into the shiny char that can only be achieved by an attentive pit master and the oldest of cooking methods. The display of food quickly became the stars of the event, which we were totally ok with!
Dave and Melissa’s unbridled enthusiasm and infectious spirit was a perfect accompaniment to our wedding celebration. While explaining our vision in our initial meeting they both were able to encourage and build upon our ideas that made it evident they were the perfect fit our wedding and probably any event thrown their way.
I cannot recommend Bang Bang events enough, they were absolutely wonderful. Other than saying “I do” they were probably the best decision we made that day.

ng for more. From the moment the fires were lit, we knew we were in for a treat.
Dave & Melissa proved to be a hidden gem in the world of barbecue. The aroma of slow-cooked meats wafted through the air, instantly building anticipation for what was to come. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident from the start – each cut of meat perfectly seasoned and smoked to perfection.
What set Bad Luck BBQ apart was not just the quality of the meats but the unique blend of flavors infused into every bite. Dave shared several stories and experiences that lead them on this journey. The culinary experience at The Grange went beyond the exceptional barbecue.
Our experience with Bad Luck BBQ at The Grange left an indelible mark on our taste buds and our memory. If you're a barbecue enthusiast or simply someone in search of an unforgettable dining experience, make sure to put Bad Luck BBQ on your must-try list. You won't be disappointed.
