So SO glad we hired Dave!! We were very picky about our wedding videographer (because my husband is one himself) and spent a long time searching for the perfect filmmaker - and finally came across Dave Woodland Films! From our first discovery call we instantly clicked on our vision for our wedding film and we knew we could fully trust him to capture our day beautifully and securely. He was professional and organized, and also friendly and easygoing - it was easy to be in front of the camera for our Adventure Session and wedding day itself. He was also super flexible and generous when our wedding day timeline changed last minute due to the weather! The films he crafted for us were absolutely beautiful and timeless - they let us relive our perfect day, and we can't wait to be able to show them to our children and grandchildren throughout the years ❤️ Can't recommend Dave and his team enough!!

Dave has found his purpose as a wedding videographer but really, he’s a storyteller. Mike and I have watched our wedding videos (VIDEOS PLURAL) 50 times in the month we’ve had our hands on them. Dave nailed it. His approach is thoughtful and personal: he sends surveys in advance of the wedding to understand your vibe and your hopes for his captures. And he followed up with me when I didn’t respond in a timely manner—so refreshing for a wedding vendor. He arrived early to take b roll and quickly became friends with everyone at our wedding. He is focused, extremely diligent and a JOY to be around which is so important when you spend so much time together on such an important day. Most importantly: he NAILED it. We remember more of the wedding thanks to the video than we would have if we had just done photo. I’ve never seen Kiawah Island from so many angles! He PERFECTLY captured our personalities and the little moments that made the ceremony, the speeches, the dance party so special. The little jokes and facial expressions we would have missed and make our memories so much more meaningful. I don’t really understand how he was everywhere at once but he was. I highly recommend hiring his wife Sarah who is also SO WONDERFUL as a second videographer to cover more ground because you don’t want to miss a thing. We love you Dave! You gave us the greatest gift and you were a critical investment. My grandmother couldn’t make it to the wedding and she can experience it thanks to the video. We can’t thank you enough but we will try.

Dave is the GOAT of videography! He has such a gift for making things feel organic and easy. I was very nervous about looking cheesy in front of the camera and he absolutely nailed it. He has such an eye for beautiful imagery and went above and beyond to get special shots that really captured the essence of our weekend. Without his heirloom I probably would not remember most of my wedding day - so so happy we chose to work with him. Cant recommend Dave enough!! Book him, you won’t regret working with him.

Dave was exceptional to work with from beginning to end. He was one of the very first vendors we booked for our wedding. We knew how important video was for us, and we wanted someone who had a classic yet contemporary style. Dave’s style and professionalism stood out to us from the get go. Having followed his work since 2019, it’s clear that he is passionate about his work and is committed to improving his craft year after year, always providing top notch service. As for our wedding and video - Dave was so patient with us as we had to postpone our wedding a year due to pandemic travel restrictions, and even helped us to eventually create a subtitled version of our video so that our Italian family could fully feel part of the highlights of our day. The end product was gorgeous and perfectly captures the emotions of the wedding weekend - every time we watch it with family, there is always a crier and everyone feels the same joy all over again. Your wedding day goes so fast - it feels like you’re on a high, going here, going there, saying hello to everyone, making sure everything’s okay. It’s easy to miss a lot of the small moments and little details. After spending so much time planning, it’s so special to have all the footage to look back on, and Dave does it so beautifully!
