David Cheney Photography

he true essence of our day without altering our natural look. While researching photographers, David Cheney’s work immediately stood out to me. His photos were authentic and had a timeless, natural quality that I loved. I reached out to him, and after our phone conversation, I knew he was the perfect fit to document our special day. From the moment we met, David was nothing short of amazing. On the wedding day, he was everywhere, capturing every moment—many of which we didn’t even get a chance to see ourselves. His attention to detail and ability to capture the emotions of the day was incredible. What truly stood out, though, was how many of our guests complimented David and his work after the wedding. It was clear that he had made an impression, not only with us but with everyone around. I’m so grateful for the memories he preserved, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer who truly understands the art of storytelling through pictures.

delivered. We booked David almost a year out from our wedding and he made us feel comfortable and followed up with us on details we thought about including in our contract, was understanding, and on the day of was so friendly and fit right in with all our guests. The photos came out better than I imagined. He was able to get many photos of my guests including some great candid shots. We are truly grateful to have chosen David to capture our wedding day and have these photos that will live with us forever.

new I didn't need to look around for any other photographers. Amazing photography was an aspect of our wedding that was very important to me, and David knocked it out of the park. He cares deeply about his clients and is so passionate about what he does. We are so grateful to have had him as our wedding photographer and will cherish our photos forever!

he not only captures the best moments of your special day, but also the sweet behind the scenes of the nerves, excitement, love, and giddiness all in one. We can’t thank you enough David for all that you do, you make it so easy for your clients to feel comfortable in being themselves to hold nothing back. His work is absolutely gorgeous and never fails, all you have to do is take a look at his page. David Cheney is one thousand percent the one to call and count on❤️

ything so comfortable and easy! I couldn’t have been happier with my photos and would recommend him to anyone!

having him around . Great experience

kes the rare genius to get the feeling, the essence and the emotion right. David does that. What a wonderful experience to have him in control of recording the day of my grandson's wedding. Thanks to him so much for freeze-framing the moments throughout the day.

ood, but he exceeded every expectation and the results were truly magical. He captured the essence of the couple and their special day. He is intuitive and creative. This was an excellent investment in a once-in-a-lifetime moment that will now live forever thanks to the unique yet classic images he captured. He was a pleasure to work with, very professional, dependable, and fun. He was also a big help in making sure things ran smoothly and on time, taking away a lot of stress! I honestly can't say enough. 10 out of 10 would recommend! :)

use he takes the time to ensure that. He gets along with everyone and is hilarious. I really can't say anything else other than if you hire him- you'll be saying the same thing. HIGHLY recommend!!

run smoothly and captured some beautiful moments. David is like family to us now and we'll continue to use him for events in the future! I promise, he will go above and beyond for you as well because that's the kind of person he is. We loved David and could not recommend him enough!

hat you’ll remember forever. Very grateful to have had the opportunity, to work with such an awesome photographer!

ll recommend David as the best of the best!

Highly recommend!

s to the individuals he is shooting. He values his clients and treats them like family. We really enjoyed our experience with David. From the first conversation, we knew he was different. This is not just a job for David, it is his passion and we are so thankful to have found him! A little note on pricing, David charges reasonable and fair rates; however, his work is worth so much more...he could charge at least double. I think that shows just how much he cares about the people versus compensation. We will be working with David for future photoshoots and look forward to continuing to develop a friendship with him and his family.

in order to perfectly capture moments. He also creates stunning leather bound books full of photographs from the wedding, and I can’t wait to see how ours turns out.

s extremely patient with me when money got tight. Just over all amazing! I definitely recommend and will be using him again. Thank you David for all your hard work and dedication.

dding day. I highly recommend hiring him!

im as my photographer.

in in the future.

ing and better than I could've ever expected! Definitely a 10/10 and would recommend him to anyone!

ed him too. Our photos are stunning and perfectly capture our lifelong memories.

im about a month and half before the wedding; which is crazy, I know!!! But he was very flexible and luckily was available on our wedding day. Communication was always professional and response times were very quick. The day of was superb, he was easy to work with, went above and beyond to capture amazing pictures and helped with the overall flow of the day. We 100% recommended booking him for your pictures, you won’t be disappointed!

nd. We started with David about 10 months before our wedding, and he was extremely responsive and met with us really soon after we reached out. We had heard from a friend that he was great, and when we saw his portfolio, we believed it! Fast forward to my bridal portraits and he made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. The pictures were amazing and he took time and spent hours with us on that session. The wedding was absolutely incredible. From ceremony to formals to our photoshoot in the vineyard, he was perfect. Everyone commented on how beautiful the pictures turned out, as well as how active David was during the reception. Every time I turned around, he was there taking pictures. I would highly recommend David if you want a friend in your photographer, but also someone who is professional and gives you pictures that look fake because of how perfect the shot is!

p of that he is excellent at communicating. We would love to work with David again and encourage everyone to do the same!

s, but David's professionalism and final product stands out above the rest. His continual attention to details during the wedding ceremony and reception shows in the way he captures all of the special moments every wedding couple would want. We hope to work with David again soon!

yond for me. He truly has an eye & a talent for capturing those special moments you want to cherish forever.

vid is really laid back and fun, which made everything run smoothly without causing any stress. Not only did he take the most beautiful pictures that I’ve ever seen, he also made sure that we got to take a picture with every single one of our guests, which was very important to us. Now we get to share and cherish all of the moments that David captured for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t of asked for a better photographer for our wedding day. Thank you so so much David!

photographer in DFW for months and was having such a hard time because to me this was the biggest decision (other than my dress) I would have to make. When we met at a bridal show in Las Colinas, I was sold! His work was beautiful, hes a photography teacher, he was easy to talk to and the packages he was offering us were a steal! David was always easy to get in contact with; he responded back quickly to any questions I had. He was extremely helpful. He had tons of suggestions for locations for our engagement pics (which I actually love just as much as the wedding pics) and we had so much fun taking them! He was fast getting the pictures back to us for both the engagement & wedding photos. I was an extreme newbie to all things wedding related but he was so helpful, even calling to check on me and see if we needed him to pickup anything for us on the day of the wedding. He helped me come up with a wedding day timeline (even though I had a day-of coordinator) to make sure we got all the pictures we wanted. My family all loved him! He was so accommodating (to my stress and tardiness to everything) and went out of his way to get awesome photos for us throughout the whole ceremony and reception. My suggestion - choose David as your photographer and make your life easier! You won't regret it :)

sts. He was also kind enough to recommend taking some time during the reception to have a photo session with just the two of us. We now have gorgeous photos of the two of us as well as many many photos of the wedding. I would recommend David Cheney to anyone who wants high qualify work and an excellent level of professionalism.

a and captured the greatest parts of our special day. I would highly recommend David to everyone who is in need of a wedding photographer. He is a forever part of our family.

a masterpiece. They are high quality in all aspects. David has an eye for what makes a photo special. His work is outstanding. David is the most easy going guy and was so enjoyable to work with. He was so calm and fun to be around. We loved his work and recommend him to anyone we get the chance to.

! Total package, highly recommend.

engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and wedding photos. I was a mess at all 3 events and David steered me in the right direction. I can't say enough kind things about David. He is so incredibly friendly, personal, and hard working. This man will lay down on the ground to capture your pictures. I met him at the Dallas Bridal Show and I immediately knew that I wanted him to be my photographer. He does everything himself- and his work is amazing all around. 100/100 would recommend him for anybody with any event. We will be using him in the future. Thank you David for all of your hard work and for putting up with us!!!!

r. My husband and I had a really short engagement, so I was bracing myself to hear, "I'm booked" from David, but miraculously, he was FREE that particular day - booked the day before AND after, but free for my wedding!! What?!? We received his work yesterday and I can't stop looking and sharing. His attention to detail is incredible! The vibrancy and LIFE in his photos is such a gift. Not only is his work SUPER quality, he also cares deeply about hearing exactly what YOU want and how to capture YOUR vision. I already knew this about David, having bonded with him through previous shoots. David was professional, an excellent communicator, FUN, and present. He wasn't just the photographer - he was a special part of our day. I've had multiple guests come up to me post-wedding and say, "I loved your photographer as a person." I couldn't agree more. His work speaks for itself, and YES, it's amazing, but it's just a part of the whole "picture"... ;) I was getting a little grouchy during the "formal/family" shoot after the ceremony and tried to scrap some of the photo-opps...David kindly put his foot down, reminding me that it's his job to capture my day and I WILL want those photos. Boy, was he right! Those exact shots are some of my favorites. SO glad he wasn't afraid to push back a bit and move toward what he knew I'd ultimately want. I'm rambling, but it's because there's SO much to say about David and his work! BOOK HIM if you can. You'll have amazing memories and connection with a great human! I can't wait to show my wedding photos to anyone who will look. :)

d he was able to help us relax and have fun! He really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding day and he pays attention to the littlest of details, and it definitely showed in our album. He's really a down to earth guy and you can tell from the moment you meet him that he has a real passion for what he does. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him to anyone, thanks for capturing our special day so perfectly David, we couldn't be happier!

ed to work with him. He is so passionate about what he does. Our pictures turned out amazing and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to have David as our photographer!

after a deal. He genuinely wants to know you as a person. Before signing a contract, David met with my husband and me to talk about photography but also to get to know us as a couple. He spent about an hour talking to us and didn’t expect us to sign anything at end of the meeting. He never pressured us. For my husband and it was super important to find a photographer that we loved and David was it! His photography speaks for itself so we really just wanted someone we “clicked with”. The day of the wedding, he was magical! He was more than a photographer. He was a friend to lean on every step of the way. He called me when he was on his way to reassure me that he’d be on time. He helped me stay on time the entire night. He brought my husband and I snacks so we wouldn’t forget to eat! He moved around as needed to get necessary shots. He instructed my guests on how to pose! He did what he had to do to get the perfect shot and was totally professional the entire night. All of my guests loved him and they all asked me about him! My favorite memory of David was when he taught my bridesmaids and I how to properly pose! I thought it was so funny that a man was teaching a bunch of women how to model but he really made us look glamorous! There is so much more that I could say about David but it can’t all fit on this review! All in all, I would say that you HAVE TO HIRE DAVID FOR YOUR WEDDING! He is the best and will make you feel your best on your wedding day!!!! :) - Carolyn Ramirez

engagement session and while taking my bridal portraits David made us feel very comfortable, allowing him to capture natural and genuine love felled shots. With David’s creative ideas and eye for great shots, all of our pictures look like they were done for a high end magazine spread. At our wedding David was able to capture so many sweet moments and special details, some that we didn’t even notice with all of the hustle and bustle of the big day. He also captured awesome candids of almost every single guest in attendance. The only thing that was difficult about working with David was narrowing down our final selection of photos for our photo book, because they were all so good. David is a one of a kind photographer who loves what he does and strives for nothing but the best. I can’t say enough about the quality of service and professionalism you will receive throughout every step of the process when working with David.

ot realize how great of an idea that was until I met him myself. From the first time we sat with David to talk over details - I was IN LOVE. This guy is the most laid back, outgoing, yet professional guy I've ever met in photography. He has an awesome vibe and doesn't make you think twice about booking with him. He will be my first choice for everything. I will tell you a secret for those that are tight with money - you pay for quality and his quality is astounding. We are keeping our budget low cost and David was able to accommodate the simplicity of our wedding. We are looking forward to this day with him.

gement session with him was super fun and we loved the images. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the big day one can feel stressed and overwhelmed, but David has an uncanny ability to make you feel at ease! We appreciated all that he did that day!

and his style is exactly mine. My fiancé wasn't with me that day, but David suggested we video chat one evening so they could meet. After doing that, we booked him immediately! David is such a kind person - and his work shows it. Throughout our entire wedding day, he made me feel comfortable, beautiful and I knew without a doubt that he was capturing every moment of our very special day! We had a major issue with our DJ, and I am a very transparent person, I was upset and so distracted by our DJ. David had to work that much harder to make me smile and make me realize that our wedding was about US, not the music. A few weeks after our wedding, I begged him for ONE family picture from our wedding so I could send out our Christmas cards. David sent 2 pictures immediately, without any hesitation. If you are looking for a genuine guy. A guy that will become your friend throughout this journey, then David is your guy! Only a "friend" can take the pictures that he takes on our most important days. Of all our vendors David was and is our favorite! We will definitely hire David for all of our family pictures!

now I would recommend him to everyone!
