I'm writing this review without even having seen the photos yet!!! David and his crew were so professional the night of my wedding. They were such a joy to have around and so easy to work with. He had a sense of humor that made us relaxed and smiling. He didn't have a pose in many staged shots... he went for capturing the genuine moments. He wasn't in our face all night either which was nice but I saw him snapping away from a distance. I can't wait to see the pictures and I'll be sure to leave another review. But if you want someone kind and professional, David Starke is your guy!

Top-notch photography business, definitely worth it! Had the opportunity to work with David, the owner, who truly took care of all of our photography needs from our engagement photos through our wedding day. He even offered to take a few studio photos of us to use for our Save-the-Date card which was a true testament to his dedication and kindness. In addition, his associates, Korin and Bob, were our main photographers for our big day and we couldn't have asked for anyone more professional and fun to work with! They truly made us feel super comfortable and natural when taking pictures but also did a great job of putting us in locations/shots that would make for great memories! We pretty much told them "do what you think would look great" and they delivered. Korin also did our engagement photo shoot so she was with us the entire time from that day through our wedding day which made it so much more fun and easy to get used to. Go with David and/or Korin if you decide to use them as your photographers, they can do candid/natural photos or can direct you if you want to be directed, they are ultra flexible and comfortable to work with in a situation that could be awkward if its the first time you are doing professional photography - you cannot go wrong with them and will not be disappointed!

I don't think I could have picked a better photographer than David for my June wedding. From our first meeting, he was kind, very professional and so easy to work with. My husband and I knew that we wanted to do our engagement shoot in another state, and David had no problem making the trip to Philadelphia on a beautiful fall day to meet our request. For our wedding, he and his team were prompt and ready to take any and all photos that we asked of them. He knew our venue well and had a great vision for shots that he wanted to take, and the photos turned out beautifully. He has a talent for capturing moments naturally as they unfolded, rather than staging shots, and the final product reflects that nautralness beautifully. My wedding guests were so impressed by David and his team, and how they were able to capture so many perfect moments throughout the day and evening. His turnaround time for getting finished, edited photos back was also great, and after just a few weeks I was able to share the photos with my friends and family. I would absolutely recommend David and his team to any and all couples for their wedding, and I would absolutely use him again in the future for other important life events that I want captured on camera!

David and his staff have a fabulous ability to capture amazing shots with such emotion that you feel like you are back enjoying your wedding day everytime you view your photos. From the first meeting he took the time to get to know my husband and I as well as our love story. It is very clear that he cares for each of his couples that he works with. He has an amazing ability to capture shots that most couldn't even dream of. He also provides you with each photo printed and placed in a keepsake box which we had never heard of - it is such a thoughtful touch! You will enjoy your photos for years to come if you work with him for your special day.

David and his team are absolutely fantastic! From the moment we met David, we knew we wanted him to shoot our wedding. He made the entire process stress-free and fun starting with our engagement photos. The day of the wedding he arrived super early and kept everyone relaxed and on schedule. From the moment we met David we knew we wanted him to be the person who captured our very special day. Not only was David extremely professional his work was exquisite. He had the most calming positive energy. It was exactly what we wanted to surround ourselves with on our wedding day. We could not have ask for more perfect pictures. David and his team were wonderful. They took absolutely beautiful pictures, and they blended in with the crowd so well. We hardly knew they were there-if not for the great pictures that were taken. We also had engagement photos done at Central Park which turned out great, and was really fun. We couldn't ebe happier with out experience with David.

I have to say, being a bride is one of the most stressful times in your life and I was a bride twice! My husband and I had a Hindu wedding and a Catholic wedding so if you can imagine, it was double the expenses, double the stress, and double the decisions. One thing we both agreed on right away was choosing DES for our photography for both days. DES also shot my sister's wedding 2 years ago and after seeing their photos, we were so impressed! We just got our albums back and we couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. We are still getting compliments on our photos from the album we shared on Facebook over a month ago! DES is focused on quality, capturing amazing moments, and they have a keen attention to detail. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

David was a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job photographing our wedding!! He is professional and takes the lead the day of the wedding, which was extremely calming because as the bride I had anxiety worrying about everything else. I never doubted though that David knew exactly what he was doing, and I was still surprised by how beautiful the pictures came out. From portraits to candids, he captured the entire day and every precious moment in-between. I am still obsessed with my photos and having difficulty narrowing them down for the album. I cannot recommend David highly enough!!

David and his crew were nothing short of awesome on my wedding day back in October. Not only did the photos come out amazing, but they did an outstanding job all around in their direction, shots, and not getting in the way of anyone or anything. David and his team were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. David is a very down to earth and genuine guy, and clearly a master of his craft. We couldn't be happier with the photos and our decision to hire David for our wedding. We hit a home run choosing them!

Our package included wedding day coverage and an engagement session, both of which were easy to schedule. David and one of his assistants were even able to accommodate the long hours of our traditional indian (sikh) wedding which was surprisingly hard to find in American photographers. The pictures came out beautifully and quickly. Service was great - he answered all calls and emails promptly and had great tips to make the day run smoothly. He was also not afraid to step in and handle difficult situations like when my groom and I were bombarded by guests wanting to take a seemingly endless number of personal pictures. He was able to gracefully whisk us away so we could get our portraits done in a timely fashion. David has a knack for making you feel comfortable throughout the process and did a great job of tempering a fairly high maintenance bride. His assistant was also wonderful to work with and her shots were equally gorgeous with an unexpected and intriguing artistic flare. The combo of the two of them left us with so many wonderful pictures that took months to pare down to a reasonable number for inclusion on our wedding album. Packages can be a bit pricey compared to his peers but overall well worth it. I would definitely work with him again for another event.

David was a great photographer to work with. He was very personable during our initial meeting, patient and detailed in explaining the process to us, and most of all, completely accommodating in working with our requests. He and his team were punctual and very friendly throughout the day. For the portraits before the wedding he made sure to get all the shots of the wedding party while at the same time allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. During the ceremony and reception they got every picture we could have asked for all while never once being in the way or intruding, and always blending in. The pictures themselves are excellent. Lots of candid shots of everyone enjoying themselves, which we love and made a point to ask for. As well as great unique long-exposure shots of us in the rain (they're an all-weather team) that have cool color effects. Along with an album, all pictures are available in digital form, with no watermark, so you can upload everything online and share with everyone and print out as you like. This was the option we wanted most and it's standard for them. Overall David is a great photographer, and person. By the end of the day we had a couple laughs together and it was a great experience.

David was one of the first vendors we booked when we began wedding planning; we knew from seeing his blog that he has an amazing talent for photography! Not only were the pictures beautiful, but the service he provided was excellent-it was very easy to get in touch with him and he provided us with a lot of information as far as the day-of events went. We let David have freedom to take whatever shots he wanted, and he definitely delivered. I would recommend him and his team to any couple!

David and his crew did an amazing job at our wedding in every sense of the word. We don't have any negative feedback whatsoever and feel they exceeded our expectations in: -Communication on all topics -Punctuality -Quality of work -Day of event flexibility -Competitive and fair pricing They had a complete awareness of knowing when and when not to ask friends/family/wedding party to make up for being behind schedule. When there was an opportunity to do so, we made up for it with rapid fire pictures without any sacrifice in quality.. many of the images friends and family tell us we belong on the cover of a magazine! I highly recommend David for any event, it was one of the easiest aspects of our wedding to work through.

My husband and I are so happy we chose David as our wedding photographer!! Our photos turned out absolutely beautiful and we're thrilled with how he captured our day! He was professional and easy to communicate with, but most importantly, he was just so easy to get along with! We felt like he was a friend at our wedding, and he made us very comfortable. He was super quick and efficient during formal portraits, and very discrete at other times. We had some odd requests (stopping at our house with us in between the ceremony and reception for some portraits with our cat!) and he was so accommodating! Overall, he was the ultimate professional, very easy to get along with, and a very talented photographer. We're really happy with our decision and would definitely recommend David!

Finding a photographer as calm, down to Earth, and talented as David Starke is difficult, if not impossible, to find. Upon our first meeting with David my husband and I knew we were in good hands. We loved his approach to photography, which was to capture moments as they unfolded instead of staging them. However, nothing could have prepared us for how breathtaking the pictures were that he took as well as his extreme professionalism the day of our wedding. On our wedding day, David and his team arrived on time and immediately began their creative work. As a bride, I was extremely happy that our big day finally arrived but I was also extremely nervous. David’s calm and controlled demeanor helped to ease some of my stress. He absolutely never rushed us, allowed us to enjoy our special moments together, and remained collected at all times. He truly believes that there are no ‘rules’ to capturing a picture and to simply act natural as if he wasn’t there. At first, I didn’t believe this notion, however, other than his initial arrival, I barely remember seeing David and his team! They seamlessly moved through our ceremony and reception bringing absolutely no attention to themselves. The quality of the photographs is something to be rivaled and admired. The stunning small moments David and his team photographed truly brought tears to my eyes. I love how I can relive every minute of my wedding day when I look through the pictures. They are each pieces of art, incredibly authentic and real, and simply beautiful in every way.

Working with David was a delightful experience! With his laid back personality, he was able to diffuse the stress of the day while keeping us focused on the excitement of the wedding. He came prepared with creative ideas to capture our special moments, but he was also adaptable to the changing situations and scenery, all while incorporating what we had requested. While he caught the specialness of the occasion he was also able to harness the fun side of our personalities in the photographs. David made it easy to relax so that he could get the amazing photographs that quite simply took my breath away. Always a professional and did impeccable work. Needless to say we highly recommend him.

Our daughter's wedding was in such a beautiful setting, and David E. Starke Photography conveyed that beauty in an art form that will allow our family to relive the magic forever. Dave made everyone comfortable and his calm demeanor brought out the best in each person. He found the nooks and crannies to serve as the backdrops for his art that caught on film the love between the bride and groom. Dave captured a look in an eye or a smile that displayed the essence of his subjects. Dave caught candid moments that we will cherish forever. His meticulous work during and after the wedding produced photos that make your heart leap because of their intimacy and human moments. I love, love, love the photographs.

Great people to work with! Very reasonable pricing and professional. We were able to tailor our package to be exactly what we wanted. Our pictures came out beautiful. I would definitely recommend doing a night shot. They were also wonderful at managing our sizable wedding party of 24 people. From start to finish it was a pleasure having them as our photographers.

David was great to work with throughout the entire process. We had a morning wedding and did not have much time for pictures between the church and reception. He set up a detailed schedule of when portraits would take place and worked with us so we could make it to the cocktail hour to enjoy it! The day of our wedding our photographer, Korin, was awesome and didn't intrude on the day. Our pictures turned out great and they even got a lot of shots that we didn't even know they took! I would highly recommend David.

From the moment we saw how David handled adversity during our engagement shoot, once when we had to cancel the shoot due to a parade going on where we’d originally planned on taking them and then the second time when our intended location was closed due to Hurricane Sandy repairs, we knew that we were dealing with a professional who’d be able to keep us calm during one of the tensest moments of our life. His kind and lighthearted demeanor has kept us smiling throughout the entire experience, from our first meeting with him through the delivery of our wedding photos. Literally I could NOT be happier with the services David and his team provided to me and my husband for our July 4th wedding. David from the start was prompt in his responses to my original inquiry, and was quick to set up a meeting with us. During the meeting David made us feel as if we were not just prospective clients, but friends. He's so personable, friendly and funny, and he puts you at ease. After the first meeting I booked him the following day. His prices were great, especially for what you get. The day of David arrived on time with his team, and he really helped keep me at ease and kept me on track. He always made sure I was smiling (and not so tense lol). David E. Starke Photography did a superb job at capturing the most important day in our lives. David and his team went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I were happy. With our event spanning 2 full days, David and his team were always prompt on arriving and did not miss a moment. David E. Starke helped us to make our wedding the Best Day Ever! From the moment we first met with him we knew he was going to be our photographer. He is so calm and relaxed, and that REALLY helps on your big day! Leading up to the wedding he was great to work with. He answered my millions of emails and all of my dumb questions without ever making me feel like a bother. The day of the wedding he knew how to roll with the punches. We had intermittent rain (and only outdoor places to take photos). He never made me feel panicked or rushed and helped to offset the hectic nature of the day. His photography style is amazing. I was amazed with him after our wedding day and even more amazed after we got out photos back. You get 700 photos back on a USB drive and ALL of those pictures printed on 4x6's in a lovely wooden box. Gorgeous wedding day keepsake. I never imagined we would have SO many perfect pictures. Not only did he do a great job at the portraits, but he captured so many candid moments which I believe really helps to capture the true feeling of your big day. David E. I got married on March 21, 2014 at The Manor in West Orange, NJ. David came recommended my the Manor and he was the last Photographer we met, his pricing was reasonable compared to the others I had met with. We booked David because he was out going, fun, extremely personable and most of all his pictures were breath taking. We were getting married at night and it would still be dark out because of the time of year and we wanted out photographer that took good night shots. David's signature shots are nigh shots, just take a look at his portfolio and you will see how beautiful his nigh shots are. After speaking with him he had expressed that he doesn't really edit his photos just some minor things,that he feels it dates them, working as a graphic designer I agreed and loved the fact that he is a true photographer and just takes beautiful pictures. On the day of our wedding David was on time and very professional. Some of my guest asked if I had a photographer at all because he was not intrusive or in anyone's way. He understood that guest wanted to take pictures of us as well and didn't get in their way while still doing his job. I could not have picked a better photographer! Beautiful pictures! Awesome People! Exceptional Service! I Highly Recommend him you will not be disappointed at all.

One of the best decisions we made was hiring David for our wedding. He was so personable and professional at the same time and made everyone at ease. Our pictures are BEAUTIFUL and he captured all our big moments perfectly.

David was the photographer for both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding and we have been blown away by the resulting photos. He has a knack for bringing people out of their shells and putting everyone at ease which can be quite difficult with the stress of a wedding! Working with David E. Starke was absolutely fantastic. He was super easy to work with, very professional and you can tell he really cares about his work, which shows with the pictures he took. The whole experience was worry-free (which is huge for brides), fun and amazing. We booked Dave for our wedding and for our rehearsal dinner. My husband Tim and I, well especially my husband, are very camera shy but with Dave we both were completely comfortable, and he really was able to translate our personalities to the pictures. He captures the moments, your emotions and really gives you pictures that show who you are. We literally could not believe the pictures when we saw them. I thought I was a model in a bridal magazine haha. From the rehearsal dinner all the way to the end of the reception the pictures are just perfect!!!! We were so happy with Dave that we have recommended him to all of our friends.
