My wife and I had the luck to have David Flett perform at our wedding back in 2008 and we could not be happier!
We decided that we did not want your standard music while my wi...
fe walked down the aisle. Since our honeymoon was going to be in Hawaii and since we both liked the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Brother IZ we decided that we wanted that song to be played as she walked down the aisle. I also decided that I wanted David to play the song with my late Grandfather's ukulele. David was kind enough to agree to all of this and even restrung and tuned the ukulele! David performed exceptionally and it meant a lot to me that he used my Grandfather's ukulele. My other late Grandfather played the accordian, but that would have been a bit much to ask David to take on :-)
Thank you David sharing your talent with us on that special day!
We asked Dave to perform during our wedding on the shores of Lake Washington at the Seattle Tennis Club. My wife and I had a special song that meant a lot to us, to the beginning...
s of our relationship. Jose Gonzalez’s version of Heartbeats – originally recorded by The Knife. Not exactly a traditional wedding song to say the least. Dave was up to the challenge, and produced an unbelievably deep yet approachable acoustic guitar version of the song. He performed it flawlessly during the middle of our wedding, outdoors and with some wind coming in off the lake – still sounded perfect. My grandmother commented on how beautiful the song was – never thought I would hear her say that about a song that originally came from a synth techno band from Sweden. Dave is also very easy to work with and a great guy with a great family – He puts a lot of himself into his music and it shows. Would recommend him 10/10.
