Every year I come here for the Pittsburgh pet expo. It's pretty much the same every year! It is a very nice large space with an outside potty area for the dogs and of course by the end of the weekend it's a little messy but how could staff mana...
ge to clean up after all those dogs? Plus that might be the expos responsibility!
Either way, I like the fact the parking is right across the little Street that goes underneath the building. I do not appreciate the fact that they never have the waterfall on anymore because that was truly one of the nicest things about coming to this convention center, was being able to take that a little lighted waterfall path down to the river! So it's really disappointing that it's not accessible sometimes or the lights and water are turned off even in good weather! Especially since I no longer live in Pittsburgh so I only get down here to the river like once a year and it's just disappointing that this beautiful feature is always turned off!
But as an attendee I do like the fact that the parking is accessible and very close by, you don't even have to go outside in the weather. You can cross from the parking garage to the convention center underneath the building so while you're in the air, you're not getting snowed on or rained on going from parking to the convention.
I also like that they sometimes have police or attendants helping with traffic when conventions are getting out because it does get quite hectic. All in all, I like coming here for conventions.

Having wonderful conversations about the concerns of working class people in our community. We need to come together to protect our class of people. We have to save ourselves.

Had never been there before and honestly never liked the look of the big sweeping roof, but inside was very impressive. We went to the auto show and had a great time looking at all types of cars and trucks.

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is a must-visit in Pittsburgh! Not only is the architecture impressive, with sweeping views of the Allegheny River, but the venue also pays a fascinating tribute to the local legend of the Lost River. Thr...

Whether you’re attending a convention, exploring the riverfront, or just curious about local heritage, this place offers a unique and memorable experience.

Very spacious, decent convention center food. The staff were all courteous and very helpful. I wish they had more vending machines and options to purchase food in the convention center.
