Hired David for our Big Island wedding last month. Wow just a great experience from beginning to end his wife handles a lot of the communication which was always prompt and on spot. David did a great shot for us and we added a Trash the dress shot a few days later which was so much fun and captured some amazing sunset shots. super organized and knows his craft! would not hesitate to recommend over and over

David is amazingly great. From the initial contact, to the conference call before the wedding, to the day of the wedding, and beyond, we were impressed. We knew everything was going to be alright with David as our photographer. He is so friendly, takes great photos, and knows how make you laugh at all of the right times. Our photos turned out great. We just wish that we had more photos! For the price that we paid, we felt like we should have many more great photos to choose from. We understand that it is a wedding and anything associated with a wedding is expensive. For the price paid, we thought that David should be doing less chatting and more picture taking. That aside, we are happy with the photos that we did receive. David was very timely in posting our preview photos to his blog as promised, as well as timely in posting all photos to a private viewing site online. We received all photos mailed to our home address on DVD. We really like that the photos on the DVD do not have any logos or watermarks. We can reprint as many photos as we like on our own. We also had a documentary style video created of our wedding ceremony. We absolutely love the video, but for the price we felt it should have been better edited and a little more professional in quality. Overall, we are very happy with the service that David has provided us and we will cherish these memories for many, many years to come!

I really enjoyed having David as our wedding photographer! He was outgoing and really kept the bride (and bridal party) calm and cool. I also loved that he was able to recreate some photos that the bride and groom wanted to mimic. He is willing to capture fun, exciting shot, as well as romantic shots. He was great!

Hiring David O. Baldwin Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We loved working with David (lead photographer) and Birgit (business manager) from the very start. They manage to seamlessly combine the artistry and professionalism of a photography business. Their customer service far exceeded our expectations. During the planning stages, Birgit was wonderful with checking in on us to see if she could help with anything. She was efficient, helpful, and prompt – my emails and phone calls were returned within 24-48 hours. If she needed some extra time to get an answer to me, she communicated when she expected to have it, and responded when promised. When our wedding was still 6+ months away, she sent us an email to let us know they were going on vacation and asked if there was anything we might need from them before they left. As a project manager and first-time bride, it was refreshing to work with someone whom you never had to chase for follow up. David and his assistant were so attentive, positive, and calming during all of our wedding activities (rehearsal, wedding day ceremony, and wedding reception). Our guests were happy to have their photo taken by him because of his awesome sense of humor, and friendliness – we are still receiving compliments on how much they liked him. He was playful, while still getting the photos we need. It was an outdoor, summer wedding, so David even had a few towels handy to wipe away any sweat. He took all of the photos we specifically requested, and more. The quality of the photos were top notch, and beautifully done. Birgit had some of them uploaded the very next morning! I highly recommend using the Baldwin’s for your wedding photography needs!

From the moment David walked into my hotel room, he made everyone at ease. He had little time to capture a lifetime of memories and nailed it! We had a small intimate ceremony and wanted every second documented so we could share with friends and family back at home. He was very attentive to our photo request list and carried a list in his pocket to not miss any one of them. The quality of the pictures was impecable! We got married overlooking the beach just before sunset. David's vision of lighting had a huge part in the how great the pictures turned out. He and assistant were able to send me a few proofs by then end of the evening so we could post them to social media the same day. We had our pictures online for viewing in less than 2 weeks and the CD with full release in 3weeks. I would highly recommend David to anyone in need of a photographer. Thank you,David and Birgit!

When my husband and I decided to hold our wedding in Hawaii (we are from California), we thought we were going to have a hard time deciding on a photographer. It's difficult to choose someone that you are unable to meet in person--we feared our photographer would not be able to capture the true "us" and the photos may fall a little flat... But from the first email to David O. Baldwin, we KNEW we had made the right choice! His wife was incredible about staying in constant communication and was an expert at answering any and all questions we had. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting David until our wedding day--and his personality put us right at ease! He was easy going and delightful to be around--and you can just tell that photography is his passion. His vision for our shots fit our personality perfectly, as if he had known us for years! Our only regret is not living closer--we would love to have him capture ALL of our special moments!

I chose David based on his website, as it's a destination wedding. As soon as his (fabulous) wife emailed me I could tell they were professional. They were organized on time and so much more. Not only is David an amazing photographer, he is funny! Our pictures are stunning, and we had them 1 1/2 weeks after the wedding! That is unheard of. In fact, he had a dozen on a website by the time we left the reception so we could get a sneak peek. You will not be sorry if you hire him.

I chose David for my wedding because he seemed to be the only photographer who would give you a disc with no copyright of all of your photos. All other photographers wanted you to buy your photos only from their website. However, I would have liked to have maybe met him in person before hand. I have to say, he was very rude to me (bride) right before we began the ceremony. I walked across someone's supposed (private) property, which wasn't marked as "private". He instantly came up to me and chewed me out, saying he was going to catch the heat for this. I was very upset right before our photo shoot and wedding. So I'm not impressed with his personality. He does take nice pictures, very clean, nothing fancy. I will say, he lacks a little creativity. If it weren't for the surroundings being so beautiful our pictures wouldn't have been as impressive. I gave him a 3 because of his attitude and chewing me out, that was incredibly tacky, but overall we are happy with our pictures.

David walked into my dressing room meeting me and my family for the first time with a joke. His personality was relaxing for everyone and he made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever! He took tons of photos both before and after but allowed our family and friends to take their own photos at the same time. Never once did we feel rushed. His photographs are phenomenal! He captures the sky and sunlight beautifully! His photos of people were great too; I had a very difficult time deciding which to add to my leather album he is doing, which isn't cheap. He does provide the bride and groom with a cd of all photos including custom and airbrush so that photos may be printed elsewhere.

We were looking into choosing this company for our photography but the prices seemed too high. However the quality of his pictures seemed amazing, but we still thought it was too pricey.

David is a very friendly, enthusiastic and hands-on photographer who will take unlimited numbers of photos. He didn't miss a beat and produced incredibly beautiful photos!

David photographed our wedding at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. He was so much fun to work with. The day of the wedding, he even called me to remind me to eat lunch and drink plenty of water! When he arrived to my suite while I was getting ready, he was easy going, funny and just enjoyable to have around! I had 3 flower girls who were very camera shy and really did not expect to get many group shots with them smiling, but David did not give up! He managed to take wonderful group photos of everyone laughing and having a great time. In addition, he was super organized and accommodating to any last minute picture requests.
