I have owned this (primarily) wedding photography company based in North East Ohio for 19 years. I switched careers because I am passionate about my craft, and am committed to capturing those beautiful and magical moments. I am dedicated to photographing the memories that you hope to cherish forever.
I take great pride in my work, and am committed to providing high-quality photos with outstanding service. My style is a blend of photojournalism (candid) and classic (formal) photography. My training with 3 of the best wedding photographers in the world shows in my work! Please look at all of my reviews. Literally 100% have been satisfied since I have been getting reviews in 2009. Not only are my couples satisfied with the finished products that they receive, they enjoy the whole process! There are many comments as to how comfortable they felt, the superior instruction they got to make the images special, and how much their guest liked working with me. This should be a very important factor in deciding upon a photographer!
I am available for proposals, engagements, and wedding day celebrations. I offer a range of wedding packages to suit a variety of needs and budgets. I usually have an apprentice who can accommodate lower budget weddings. You can enjoy a selection of beautiful photos, wedding albums, digital images, and more.

Working with David was an absolute delight from the moment we first met with him for our engagement shoot until the moment that he finalized ordering our wedding albums.

and I both typically shudder at the thought of having our photos taken, but during our engagement and wedding photo shoots, David was so patient, kind, charismatic, and funny that he made the sessions a joy to participate in. He is deft at putting couples, and folks in general, at ease to draw out their natural personalities for photos. David is obviously a master of his craft, with a keen eye for lighting and composition, but even more importantly for my wife and I, he is just so fundamentally kind that he was a pleasure to work with. We felt like we were in the presence of a longtime friend any time we were meeting with David.
His work speaks for itself: It's difficult for my wife and I to find photos of ourselves that we enjoy looking at, but we were so pleased with all of the photos from both our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot. At this point, David's responsible for most of our favorite photos together.
At every stage of the process, David was communicative and helped to maintain an even momentum leading into our wedding and after our wedding. As my wife and I were swamped with other wedding preparation tasks, we knew we could rely on David for gentle, unobtrusive reminders that were so valuable in terms of keeping us on task! And when it came to editing the photos and turning them around in a timely manner, David blew our expectations out of the water.
Even beyond the photography itself, it was simply a comfort to have David's wealth of experience on our side, as he helped to reinforce the wisdom of decisions we'd made for post-ceremony photography logistics or reassured us two newbies about standard wedding practices and etiquette. On the day of our wedding itself, David was even happy to volunteer himself to help assist with announcements and other responsibilities. It was so clear to us that he was fully committed to making our day as wonderful as possible.
Working with David was one of the highlights of our entire wedding process, and at this point, we can't imagine what our special day would have looked like without his gentle, kind, and guiding professionalism. He's a treasure to work with, and I have every confidence you'll feel the same way!

uality of work. When meeting with David for the first time, he spent time getting to know my husband and I, asking about what style of photographs we enjoy. He spent time in our engagement photos testing out different styles and how we photographed best. David was there to help us figure out a wedding itinerary that worked with our tight schedule and helped us troubleshoot. The day of the wedding, I made a last minute switch back to our outdoor first look location and David adapted and created some of the most beautiful moments from our day. His photos are bright, full of life and personality and completely captured our day. Something we and our wedding party commented on was the fun prompts or directives David would give. It gave us chances to express our personalities and made the picture full of life and love. Also, David was timely in sending teaser photos the next day and returning all photos (800+) in less than a month. I could not recommend David Paul Photography enough!!

Our photos from the engagement came back within a few days and the wedding photos within a few weeks! He touched base with me several times leading up to the wedding, which was helpful. He worked with me to create a wedding timeline to be sure to capture every moment from the day, including hotel shots where we got ready. d to be so fun for us however there were a lot of hiccups. Our plans started with a engagement photo shoot with a different company that went horrendous. A family member introduced us to David Paul and we were BLOWN away. David took the time to meet with us and ensure we would be a good fit to work together. He went over what was important to us and what we wanted more than anything. During our conversations he would ensure any concerns we had were addressed on the spot or worked on to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Our engagement photo shoot was mind blowing. Our family and friends could not believe the job that David and his crew were able to complete. Our save the date cards were so beautiful because of those photos. The week before our wedding was supposed to be our best time for us to get last minute details completed, however there was a death in our family, and potential COVID contact. David was immediately on the phone with us to first give his condolences, but most importantly to have a solution in place for who was going to be shooting the wedding. The day of the wedding David was at my (grooms) home and I could not of been any happier. David was able to capture the most intimate and important picture for me and my parents, he was able to capture my whole family in a way that I couldn’t believe. My whole family complemented me on such an amazing person who was respectful, kind, sincere, and understood what had to be done to capture those pictures. David had a wedding already planned that day however he made time to come shoot at my home and be there for us at the church. There are no words to describe our pictures, we fall in love with each other and our pictures every time we look at them. David Paul promised us a number of pictures for our engagement and wedding pictures, we relieved the most marvelous Pictures. We can not put into words what David Paul photography did for us and our wedding, and we cannot wait for more family picture done by David. ree times!!! Each time I called David panicked that he would no longer be able to photograph my wedding, but each time he promised me that he would be there! It was refreshing to have someone as reliable as David while in the stressful moments of wedding planning. After the wedding, my photo album was complete within weeks. Not only was he efficient, but the quality of his work was incredible! I love my photo album and have shown all my family and friends. David truly went above and beyond in his job. He took the time to get to know all of my immediate family members and had a lengthy conversation with me a couple days prior to my wedding to ensure he knew exactly what I wanted. Any shoot can be nerve wrecking as you want everything perfect but he was there to talk me through every step of the way. We had a lunch meeting and were able to discuss my expectations and he added in a few that I hadn't even thought about. Very professional and knowledgeable! David is also able to connect with people in such a way that you feel comfortable and like you're talking to a family member.

There's a fine line between a good photographer and a great one and David is a great one.
It was after our one-on-one initial meeting with him that our decision was made. We knew we wanted him from that meeting and canceled our plans to see what else was out there. He was also very good with communication and answered all questions we had.

ding in Akron, he made a point to make time for us on the weekends to meet when we would come into town. We had an awesome engagement session, and he got those pictures back to us within a week. His attention to detail and editing skills are great. We were very pleased with the engagement pictures, which are included in the wedding packages he offers.
The wedding day could not have gone better, and a lot of that was thanks to David. He touched base with me several times the month and week before the wedding, which was helpful especially due to the uncertainty cause by COVID-19. He was supportive and willing to make anything work. He sent me his timeline for the wedding day and made time to go to both places where the bridal party was getting ready to take before-wedding pictures. Some of those ones ended up being my favorites, and I was really happy with how easily things flowed. The pictures after the wedding also went super well. He made sure to get everyone in just the right place and snap the perfect angles each time. He asked throughout the day if there were any specific pictures we wanted and made sure to get those as well. I was very impressed by his ability to get the perfect candid shots, which are my personal favorite. I could not be happier with how the images turned out.
On top of being a phenomenal photographer, David is just a great person to work with. He was understanding of the circumstances we were in, and he did not hold that against us or try to up the pricing. He is reliable and there for you, which he makes very clear. I would highly recommend him for weddings and other events as well!

and trustworthy. Planning a wedding is obviously stressful and there’s nothing worse than having a vendor that doesn’t communicate to add to that stress. With David, we never had to worry. He would respond to our calls/ emails/ texts, literally 24/7 and most of the time he was the one initiating the communication.
David is a true professional. His attention to detail and his passion for his work are incredible to watch. He has tons of experience and always has a backup plan for everything. He has this ability to get in and take great shots without being too demanding or in the way like you often see with other photographers.
On top of all that, David is as genuine as they come. We could tell that he truly cared about us and the success of our big day. He really took the time to get to know us, our guests, our venue, etc. He met us for a rehearsal shoot a couple months beforehand to really learn our style too. The day after our wedding he went to work right away and sent us about 25 high quality teaser photos.
