I also remember the Father/Daughter dance getting a standing ovation after our vocalist's heartfelt performance. Our guitarist brought his acoustic guitar only for that specific song. Throughout the night dozens of guests told me how much fun they were having at your wedding and how great the band was. Your father told me 4 to 5 times how much he appreciated how we made everything happen for you and Richie. He shook my hand and expressed his sincere appreciation. At the end of the night you, me, Richie, and your parents were the last ones in the ballroom when I gave your signed poster (more about this towards the bottom). You all said how much you appreciated that we were all able to work everything out despite the challenges of dates and the virus and were able to have such an amazing wedding despite all we went through. This has always been our policy which we've used for every contract over the last 22 years. It's the very first term. We worked with every client in 2020 to either reschedule their wedding or have a micro wedding instead. The deposit also holds your date. We turned away other weddings to keep your date booked. A deposit protects both of us. Large vendors like chain hotels like Lowes, who are worth billions, can't be compared to small companies like ours. You mention that I begrudgingly gave in, but that’s not what happened. I was in fact the was the one who suggested simply rescheduling the wedding which is what we ended up doing! As a result, you had a full wedding of your dreams including beautiful ceremony music, jazz trio for cocktails and our full orchestra for dancing. We learned 11 new songs for the ceremony and reception. Proud Mary was actually on your MUST PLAY list. I apologize if any do not play songs were played. We are very careful about that, not sure what specific songs you are referring to, but your dance floor was jam-packed all night. You're right, I did forget to announce your last dance song, but we played it immediately. I don't understand why there would be a “black cloud” since we were able to give you a spectacular wedding while so many brides only had micro weddings or even decided to cancel their weddings altogether. They understood the circumstances of covid for their vendors and what other couples were dealing with. At the wedding, you seemed happy to see me and were so excited to celebrate with our band and all your guests. You also didn't mention the personalized Foo Fighters poster we created just for you which all your guests signed. We took the FF album cover "One by One" and changed it to "One + One" then changed the Foo Fighters logo and changed the letters from FF to JR, your and Richie's initials in the exact same font. We added the wedding date and venue. I brought sharpie markers and had all of your guests sign the poster.
