David Rothstein Music, Inc

we wanted. The entertainment was a huge part of that vision. DRS Music had us covered the entire day, with a string quartet for the ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour and dinner, 8-piece band for the reception, DJ with saxophone for the after-party, and David as our dedicated MC. One of our favorite details was the miniature foosball table (we played on our first date) that David presented for guests to sign instead of us needing to do a typical guest book. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch. Throughout the night, David and his team made us feel like the stars of the show. The sound was perfect, the dance floor was packed, and the energy never dropped. We still have guests complimenting our wedding months later. We can’t thank David enough for helping make our day so special!

keeping the dance floor full all night, but they also went out of their way to work with external musicians to add a special touch to our ceremony. The band sounded phenomenal and kept the energy high – to the point where almost two months later our friends are still complimenting their performance. We highly recommend working with DRS for your wedding!

he entire time! I just wish I could relive the day - couldn’t recommend them more!! They were so fun and entertaining, loved them!

ce with a wide ranging setlist was our top priority. David and his team absolutely nailed it. We didn't want the typical cookie cutter wedding songs but still wanted a packed dance floor from start to finish and that's exactly what we got. David honored all of our (very specific!) song requests, and the band killed it for every single song. The musicians improvised, delivered fantastic solos, and jammed out - it felt like a concert. And the crowd interaction was phenomenal and SO much fun! I'm not exaggerating when I say the first thing every single guest commented on when we talked to them after the wedding was how impressive the band was. Not to mention the strolling violinist during dinner. People cannot stop talking about it! David even coordinated with a family member so he could play drums with the band. And let me emphasize that EVERYONE was on the dance floor, even our friends who don't normally dance. For the ceremony, we had a piano and violinist who worked with us prior to the wedding to make sure all of our requested songs were played. Every song was played beautifully and to perfection. Beyond the music, David was such a pleasure to work with! He is so friendly, communicative, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. We knew we were in great hands. As a bonus, David even surprised us with a personalized gift he put together for all of our guests to sign at the wedding. We really cannot say enough good things about this band. If you're considering hiring them, do yourself a favor and just do it. It's one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you so much David and team for making our wedding unforgettable!

ause David is incredibly attentive and sincere. If there was ever a problem, we never noticed - he really does put 100% of his time and effort into each client.  Not to mention the music itself, which exceeded our expectations. The singers and musicians were so talented and engaging, in key moments our wedding party stopped dancing mid song to admire sudden guitar solos or sustained vocal notes. Whatever I heard through their videos was only a fraction of how great they sound in person. 10/10 band, I don’t say that lightly. David and his team were some of the most talked about people our wedding. They even learned to play our custom song requests! DRS Music is a one of a kind talent that puts the rest of the industry to shame.  David even made sure he nailed the pronunciation of our family member names, knew exactly when to roll out our cake, music, and speeches. He even came up with a unique wedding gift that was tied to the beginnings of our relationship - a pair of ice skates for everyone to sign! It was perfect.

playing, the dance floor was packed the entire night. Their energy was incredible, the setlist was exactly what we asked for, and they kept our guests entertained from start to finish. They were professional, easy to work with, and truly made our reception unforgettable. My great grandfather was unable to attend, so David suggested that we call him at the reception to include him. It truly made the night! So many of our friends and family commented that this was the best band they’d ever seen at a wedding. Our wedding truly wouldn't have been the same without DRS! Could not recommend them enough!

out to us because David and all the music videos out there of previous weddings and functions. David told us "I guarantee everyone will be coming up to you after the wedding to tell you that was the most fun I have ever had at a wedding" - turned out to be true. Everyone said how great the band was and how the dancefloor stayed packed the entire night. David as the MC brought the energy that a wedding needs. Members interacting with the guests throughout the night made it so personable and memorable. Finally, David really took the time to get to know the both of us which helped create a setlist to our liking. Also, learning the songs of our first dances made it a special evening. Cannot thank David and his band enough!

keep the dance floor packed. The band also went above and beyond by getting our guests involved which everyone really enjoyed (the unexpected bongos were a particularly big hit). David was professional and went the extra mile to get to know us so that he could work in some personal tributes during our ceremony. Throughout the process, David said he’d make our wedding the best wedding ever and in our opinion, he helped do just that!

ryone was amazing and talented. David and each band member was great at interacting with the crowd at the reception and reading the energy of the room. David was great with communication. David also ensured that the timeline was followed which I very much appreciate.

one had such a great time!

s first and giving us all the info we needed. He was so quick to respond to all our questions as well. I knew we made the right decision for our music with the way David handled everything leading up to the wedding. David is so passionate about his work and loves what he does - it made the experience 10x more enjoyable and got us so excited for the wedding day. The band was absolutely amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! Many of our guests came up to us after to let us know this was the most fun they have had at a wedding in a long time - all thanks to David and his amazing, talented artists! The investment into a band for your wedding is 100% worth it if you hire DRM!

cause of the care and time that David took to truly get to know us. On our first call he was asking about US, not just our style, our vibe, and what mattered most to us on our wedding day. From the first conversation, we felt like we were in the best hands, and that personal touch came through in every moment of the night. We had a violinist for our ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, a full band for the reception, and a DJ with live sax for our after-party (they ALL crushed it). The transitions between each part of the day felt effortless and perfectly timed, keeping the energy exactly where it needed to be. And David, wow, truly phenomenal. Warm, charismatic, and so in tune with the crowd. He kept the night flowing beautifully, hyped up the dance floor when it mattered most, and made sure we felt relaxed and cared for the entire time. The band itself was outstanding!! They are talented, lively, and so fun. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about how amazing the music was! Truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you want your day to feel personal, joyful, and unforgettable, this is the team to make it happen.

He is also a great emcee throughout the evening, keeping everyone on track. The one thing we wanted was a packed dance floor, and thanks to the incredible band, we had just that. It was such a pleasure to have the band apart of our big day. We highly recommend working with them!

carefully structured the night minute by minute to make sure everything goes smoothly. He took complete control and I never had to worry once about what was going on or what was supposed to come next. David is an amazing MC. He gets interactive with the guests and is a true professional. I was blown away by the talent of the band members as well. They will even learn certain songs that you request if you want them played! I highly recommend David Rothstein music to anyone getting married. They are worth every penny and you will have the most memorable night because of them!

all our calls and emails, and helped with managing our reception timeline and keeping us on track. The musicians and vocalists were so talented, fun, and professional - and like DRM promotes our dance floor was packed the entire night! His personal touch on the wedding made the end to end experience special. Working with Alex Kauffman for the ceremony music was also great! He learned our favorite Noah Kahan song to play as I walked down the aisle - which was so beyond special!

reply to all our questions leading up to the wedding, and took all our requests into consideration. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner music was all beautiful! We chose the 11 piece orchestra for our reception, and we are so happy we did. They were so fun and the vocalists were amazing! Everyone told us how amazing the band was, and everyone was on the dance floor all night! We all had such a fun night! We can't thank David and the band enough for a wonderful night! We are so happy we chose them for our wedding!

t, and when the time finally came to choose, I knew we HAD to work with DRS Music—what sold me initially was a combination of the transparency on their website, the consistent 5-star reviews I read across several sites, and the raw video footage of the talented musicians in action. I knew we made the right decision as soon as we got in touch with David. When I first submitted my inquiry for availability of the jazz trio for our wedding reception dinner, David responded probably within a day--the fastest of all the vendors I previously reached out to! Instead of an email in response, he called me directly, which is something I greatly appreciated, especially when a lot of wedding planning can feel like a waiting game. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find live music for our wedding given that it was a very small and intimate affair. David reassured me that he's all about celebrating US and what we want out of our wedding. Whether your wedding is “big” or “small,” David will work with you to find the best option for your special day. From our initial call, to getting him in touch with our venue event coordinator, David was nothing but responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. Closer to our wedding date, he sent over a questionnaire that asked my husband and I to share the details of our love story and the music we wanted played at our reception. David noted that we love the show, "Lost," and he had a special poster with our photo on it created just for us and for all our guests to sign. Throughout the night, the jazz trio played BEAUTIFULLY all the songs/genres we requested, and David was available to communicate with throughout the evening and served as our MC. We received compliments from our family all night and even after our wedding about David and the jazz trio. At our request, the trio learned our first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter dances; they played the most beautiful renditions of our favorite classics, really setting the mood for a special night. My dad, who loves live music, was in tears before he even made it to the dance floor when he heard the trio play “What a Wonderful World” for our father/daughter dance. On top of an unforgettable night, David offered to take our floral arrangements to a nursing home, where he dropped them off the following morning for another person to enjoy :) I cannot recommend DRS Music enough! The 5-star reviews about DRS Music speak for themselves, offering genuine praise for the musicians' unmatched professionalism and incredible talent. David, in particular, shines not only as a captivating MC but also as a pleasure to collaborate with, ensuring every event is seamless and unforgettable. Thank you David, Adrian (piano), Nate (saxophone), and Joshua (double bass) for sharing your talents with us and our family on a night we won’t soon forget!

c, it was 1,000% worth it. David Rothstein is communicative, responsive, and detail-oriented. The band was so flexible and played all our special requests. During the night, I pulled David aside and mentioned my friend's 30th birthday was the day before and I'd forgotten about it. Right away, he teed up the band to play "Dancing Queen" and dedicated it to my friend. She was so touched! Throughout our planning process, he got to know Dan and me and realized Billy Joel was one of our favorite artists. As a wedding present, the band presented autographed sheet music for "New York State of Mind," given Dan and I met in New York, and an autographed photo of Billy Joel and asked our guests to sign the back of each frame. They're now hanging in our living room and are a perfect reminder of the best night of our lives! We'd recommend DRS to ANY individual looking for a total banger of a party!

zz trio for cocktail hour /dinner, and a DJ with saxophone player for dancing. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. I wanted live music for most of the wedding but knew I wanted a DJ for the danicng. This was the perfect set! All of the live muscians were incredibly professional, highly skilled, and contributed to an amazing atmospohere of live music for the evening. The DJ was also incredible!! David of course was a wonderful emcee and was super helpful for the planning process! We had a great time dancing the night away. Overall 10/10 experience!!!

Rothstein and his band would make our wedding. He exceeded any and all expectations. Our dance floor was packed all night! The personalization he adds brings this band to the next level. He was great to work with and communicated well with our other wedding vendors. We absolutely loved it and our wedding would not have been as special if it wasn’t for him! I just want to throw another party so we can have the band back together! Thank you so much for being such a large and wonderful part of our day!

and absolutely nothing we didn't. He listened to our every request and executed it to a T. We left 3.5 hours for dancing, and the floor was popping the ENTIRE time. We even had several guests (who are professional musicians themselves!) come up to us and say it was the best wedding band they'd ever heard. (Also, their rendition of Whitney's "I Will Always Love You" was SPECTACULAR, we will never forget it. There's nothing like a live wedding band, and we could not recommend this outfit highly enough!

xactly how to keep the energy up throughout the night! One of the highlights of the night was their rendition of Shout – the energy in the room was electric, and everyone joined in to sing along. The dance floor was PACKED! Another standout was their version of Mr. Brightside, which was a fantastic way to end the night. Leading up to the wedding, we had several prep meetings with David, and it was clear he wanted every detail of our music to be perfect, from the keyboard and strings of the ceremony to cocktail hour, to the jazz trio during dinner, and finally the reception with the full band. He was very open to our preferences and made sure to incorporate all of our favorite songs into the setlist. Overall, hiring David Rothstein Music was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. They not only met but exceeded our expectations, and we're still receiving compliments from our guests about how amazing they were. If you're looking to create an unforgettable atmosphere at your wedding or any event, look no further – this band is truly exceptional!

and's talent and professionalism were outstanding—they kept the dance floor packed all night, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. They truly made our special day even more magical. If you want a band that delivers both skill and soul, look no further!

se he is just that passionate about what he does. Part of what makes David Rothstein Music so great is that he loves to surprise his clients with little things on the day of. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say the surprises he had for my wife and I still have people texting us telling us how cool and thoughtful they were. I can't say enough about the atmosphere David and his band bring. They will hands down make your wedding a blast.

ve worked with David and the band before and knew we wanted them from the beginning, and I was so right in my original thoughts! Working with David, is always a pleasure and always very professional and spot on! He covers absolutely everything you need and runs a perfect evening for you. When I’m working a regular wedding with David, I know I never have to worry that the evening will not go as planned and even better than planned, and that’s exactly what I wanted for my daughter’s wedding and that’s exactly what we got!! It was a perfect night! He ran the perfect New Year’s Eve wedding. He emceed the perfect event. He brought the my daughter and her husband a very thoughtful, special surprise gift that meant the world to them as an extra touch as well! As for the band, they are always outstanding! They had everyone on the dance floor until 1am and kept the upbeat, amazing, perfect sound that they had the entire night! We had so many compliments on the band! It was truly remarkable! Look no further!!! You’re in great hands!!!

had wanted. David runs a fabulous event and somehow his band is even better! They had everyone dancing the whole night and we got endless compliments about how good they sounded. Some of the songs they played I actually thought was the original artist! David is also so thoughtful and gifts each couple an immensely thoughtful gift at the end of the night and I cannot say thank you enough. If you are looking at bands for your wedding look no further than David! It truly was a spectacular night! Thank you so much!

with a million emails from me changing my mind, but he also helped us a lot by providing advice during the planning process. I would say that my favorite part about work with David is that he's very attentive to the audience. If he notices the crowd isn't reacting to the music he will help correct that to get people back on the dance floor. we had a NYE wedding and David's band kept everyone dancing until 1am! The talent that is in this band is absolutely insane - they kept everything so upbeat the entire time and were interactive with the crowd as well. We received so many compliments on the band and I truly think they made a huge difference in how much people enjoyed the wedding. David also takes time to get to know his couples and goes out of his way to find different ways to make your wedding special. We are soooo glad we found David and would recommend this band time and time again! Thank you so much for making our wedding so special and fun!

the dancefloor. The band had fantastic energy, the singers were incredibly talented, and the music was exactly what we envisioned for our special day. The ceremony music led by Alex Koffman was exceptional and David was a wonderful emcee. Thank you, DRS, for making our wedding so special!

's performance is truly unique and catered to your needs and wants. We received and are still receiving so many compliments from our wedding. The dancefloor was packed all night long!

of the most talented bands that we have seen at a wedding and our guests couldn't stop talking about it! They kept the party going through the night. David is a pleasure to work with and we couldn't recommend them highly enough!

ompliments on how awesome the band/ DJ combo was. He even went as far as to get us a wonderful personal gift for our guest to sign AND remember our furry baby ( who was always barking on our zoom calls Lol) and get him a gift as well!! Our family has used David for two family weddings now, and will continue to do so!!! We love David Rothstein!!!

om the beginning, David was actively involved and responsive in helping get ready for the big day. He and his team were willing to learn any number of songs for our wedding. We really appreciated that they took the time to learn some of our favorite songs, which made for a special evening. They also had an unbelievably long list of songs they already know and regularly play, which allowed us to pick out some of our favorites to give them a sense of what we liked. David did an excellent job MCing and kept all our guests excited and engaged. The band did an awesome job of keeping our dance floor packed all night long, which was exactly what we wanted! They played off the crowd and provided a fun mix of popular and classic songs, including slow songs and party hits that keep you dancing. David and the band even got us a very sweet and personal wedding gift based on our favorite sports team and our dog. Throughout the evening and afterwards, we heard from so many of our guests about how great the band was! They really made it a night to remember and we are so grateful!

of the band is UNREAL! At one point, the sax player came into the dance floor and pumped everyone up while the band played SHOUT! They were interactive and I have never seen another wedding band do anything like this before. The range of talent from the DJ, the drummer, sax player and the singers was UNREAL - we have never seen anything like DRS before and are truly blown away by how talented they are. The number one thing we were complimented on was how great the band was - guests told us they felt like they were at a concert! My number one request was for a packed dancefloor and DRS delivered! David gave us really great advice to make sure we got exactly what we wanted at our wedding. Planning with him was so easy - he always answered our emails in a timely manner and was willing to jump on a call whenever we had questions. His team took every song request we had for both the ceremony and the reception. We requested the horah and it was so much fun! David kept the energy up - I think we went for almost 10 minutes and guests said it was the best horah they've seen! Additionally, David spent time getting to know us to make sure that our wedding was special and personalized. At our reception, he surprised us with a custom gift - two IU pickleball paddles since we love playing pickleball and both went to IU! All our guests raved about this and thought it was so unique. Guests signed the paddles and we will cherish this gift forever. As soon as the dancing started, the energy in the room was electric! We danced all night long with no breaks - everyone kept saying it was the most they've ever danced at a wedding and they were sore the next day - a sign of a great time! We are so grateful our venue recommended DRS and can't imagine our wedding without them! Run don't walk to book them, they're amazing!

y with you to have THE most perfect and curated experience. We had a non-traditional wedding gala that we wanted to be musically-forward, and David himself put together the most ambient flow and was the perfect MC to deliver on it. We had a violinist greeting guests, a jazz trio during cocktail hour, a serenading violist during dinner, and finishing with an 11-piece orchestra (highly recommend upgrading to get the additional brass instruments!!). Even down to the small details, David had the band wear black bow ties to fit our theme and made sure even little request was accounted for. Beyond the talent of the band, a great feature is that the band covers a wide range of music and will take requests to learn new songs so you're never stuck with the usual top 40s wedding songs. Working with David Rothstein band is the most fun and refreshing experience! Couldn't recommend more highly.

anced the entire night to a variety of amazing music with incredible musicians. From the beginning meetings with David, we could tell that he was a professional and had been orchestrating wedding receptions for a long time. We felt confident in his skillset and vision for how the night would unfold. David walked us through the "flow" of the evening and shared with us Google Docs to fill out with all of the information that he would need to make sure that his announcements throughout the night were on point. David serves as the MC for the band so not only is he making announcements throughout the evening (dancing time, eating time, first dance, toasts, etc.), he is also communicating with the other key vendors for catering and day-of coordination so that the entire evening is synchronized. In the months leading up to our wedding, David worked with the band to create a customized composition of our first dance song. We chose a very non-traditional bluegrass song and the band truly made it unique, romantic, and our guests (especially the ones who knew the bluegrass piece) were in awe. Our wedding night shared the wedding anniversary of a family member-- David was able to find out our family members first dance song and they played it special for them to have their own dance. DRB also surprised us with a gift for all of our guests to sign throughout the evening which was a special touch. This is one example of how David truly gets involved throughout your wedding and wedding planning process. David was able to keep the crowd engaged throughout the evening, brought a bubble machine onto the dance floor, the band played some of our favorite songs, and he had a very high energy! If you prefer to have an MC/Band/DJ that is more "behind the scenes" rather than an active part of your wedding day, then perhaps DRB isn't the best fit. DRB is a front-and-center vendor that truly brings the dance floor alive and brings incredibly special and personalized touches throughout the wedding evening! Having DRB at our wedding was a great investment and we are so grateful that they were able to share their talents at our wedding.

as OUTSTANDING! We received countless compliments from guests on how great the music and singers were the entire night. David really knew how to get the crowd’s attention and was incredibly responsive, professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He even created and presented us with the most thoughtful and unique poster for our guests to sign— we LOVE it so much! David told guests it would be the best wedding they had ever been too and he truly did not disappoint. My husband and I would 100% recommend David and his musicians for your wedding or any other event that you want guests to remember for years to come. We had a blast and I know all our guests did too!

r wedding. We knew from the beginning that we wanted to invest in a band and to “do it right.” After looking at so many glowing reviews, watching YouTube videos, and talking with David for almost an hour about what we were looking for and what he could offer, we booked him quickly before someone else could snag our date! We are SO glad that we did. We ultimately went with the classical trio for our ceremony music, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and 10-piece band + DJ for the reception! Throughout the entire planning process, David was right there by our side. His enthusiasm, expertise, and talented group of musicians are truly unmatched. We had so much ease going into our wedding day knowing that he had our backs and that no matter what, we and our guests would have a blast on the dance floor all night. David really listened to our desires and helped us craft a reception that emphasized who we are as a couple. We gave a very long list of songs we wanted to hear and they were able to hit the vast majority of them! David was an excellent MC, helping the whole night flow seamlessly. He also gave us a surprise sentimental gift that all of our guests got to sign and donated some of our florals to a nursing home the next day! These are just examples of the care and attention he gives his couples. The band was simply awesome. We had a packed dance floor all night long- exactly what we wanted and envisioned for our reception! We have heard from countless guests that it was the best band they’ve ever seen at a wedding. The videos are so great but truly don’t even begin to capture the energy in that room. The additional ceremony music package also worked out great and David provided a microphone for us to use. The musicians were so flexible on what turned out to be a typical Chicago spring day, when we were unsure whether or not we were going to be able to have the ceremony outside as planned, or have to relocate. We could not recommend David Rothstein Music enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your wedding or event!

g a breeze, and his team is made of true professionals. No one would leave the dance floor! I would hire them again for any events in the future.

gave two song requests to David and he took care of the rest! It was so nice to leave it up to the experts and not have to worry about what songs should be played when. Our wedding guests complimented the band all night long and still are! David made the planning process easy and was always accessible when he needed to be. If you are wondering whether or not to book this band, just do it!

ainly delivered. From the first day we inquired about David Rothstein and band, he called us literally within the hour to have a conversation. From that point on there was constant communication through phone, email, video calls, and text to finalize all the details about our wedding day. Using his extensive experience from performing at weddings, we were able to draw up the perfect timeline of events. We didn’t give them a lot of direction as to what we wanted played and the best part was that we didn’t need to! His band read the room and changed up music as needed. The band was all of our guest's top compliment and so many people stayed later than we would have expected because of it. David’s energy and enthusiasm kept everyone excited and having fun the entire night. From the announcements, speeches, and traditional songs, David controlled it all and made sure it was seamless. A week before the wedding we changed up the mother/son dance and David acted like it was no problem and had an arrangement that was perfect. He was so flexible and ALWAYS available to answer any questions. One of our groomsmen got excited and wanted to sing a song late in the night. David handed over a mic, turned down the volume, and let the groomsman “sing” his heart out while the band took over. Our guests loved it and it will always be a great memory. We LOVED getting pictures and videos from him the night after our wedding. Receiving those was the best surprise since professional pictures and videos take so long to get back. My husband and I are huge Notre Dame fans and David presented us with a Notre Dame football signed by Rudy. All of our guests signed it and we will treasure it forever. We truly have NOTHING bad to say about our experience with the David Rothstein Band and would recommend David Rothstein and Band to anyone and everyone! Absolutely the Best Band We Have Ever Seen!

porary pop songs. Then for cocktails, we had a solo pianist on the venue's baby grand playing Rat Pack/Frank Sinatra. It's everything we wanted! Thank you for taking our ideas and bringing them to life.

He made our wedding pretty special!! Would definitely recommend!

at communicator, and follows through on everything he says. Working with him was the easiest part of our wedding planning process. At our wedding itself, David was a hilarious MC with infectious energy & enthusiasm while perfectly balancing in being subtle when needed. The band was incredible I was in awe of the singer performing Whitney Houston songs and the Sax + DJ to end the night was such a perfect touch. Our group loves a little karaoke action, and his band welcomed both my uncle and my beautiful bride to join them and sing their favorite songs. For my wife and I, that was the best night of our lives, and David Rothstein Music made that happen.
