We got married on August 17, 2024 at The Abbey in Fontana, WI. The David Rothstein Band was a preferred vendor for The Abbey. While the band was ~2x our original budget toward music, it was 1,000% worth it. David Rothstein is communicative, responsive, and detail-oriented. The band was so flexible and played all our special requests. During the night, I pulled David aside and mentioned my friend's 30th birthday was the day before and I'd forgotten about it. Right away, he teed up the band to play "Dancing Queen" and dedicated it to my friend. She was so touched! Throughout our planning process, he got to know Dan and me and realized Billy Joel was one of our favorite artists. As a wedding present, the band presented autographed sheet music for "New York State of Mind," given Dan and I met in New York, and an autographed photo of Billy Joel and asked our guests to sign the back of each frame. They're now hanging in our living room and are a perfect reminder of the best night of our lives! We'd recommend DRS to ANY individual looking for a total banger of a party!

We hired David Rothstein's music company for our August 2024 wedding and they are absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend! We went with the piano/violinist for the ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour /dinner, and a DJ with saxophone player for dancing. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. I wanted live music for most of the wedding but knew I wanted a DJ for the danicng. This was the perfect set! All of the live muscians were incredibly professional, highly skilled, and contributed to an amazing atmospohere of live music for the evening. The DJ was also incredible!! David of course was a wonderful emcee and was super helpful for the planning process! We had a great time dancing the night away. Overall 10/10 experience!!!

When we were planning our wedding, all we wanted was a people up dancing. We met with David Rothstein and as soon as we hung up from our call Levi and I knew he was our guy. David Rothstein and his band would make our wedding. He exceeded any and all expectations. Our dance floor was packed all night! The personalization he adds brings this band to the next level. He was great to work with and communicated well with our other wedding vendors. We absolutely loved it and our wedding would not have been as special if it wasn’t for him! I just want to throw another party so we can have the band back together! Thank you so much for being such a large and wonderful part of our day!

Working with David Rothstein Music was a dream! He is so responsive, professional, flexible, and attentive all while being a genuine showman. We got everything we wanted music-wise and absolutely nothing we didn't. He listened to our every request and executed it to a T. We left 3.5 hours for dancing, and the floor was popping the ENTIRE time. We even had several guests (who are professional musicians themselves!) come up to us and say it was the best wedding band they'd ever heard. (Also, their rendition of Whitney's "I Will Always Love You" was SPECTACULAR, we will never forget it. There's nothing like a live wedding band, and we could not recommend this outfit highly enough!

Our wedding reception was an absolute blast, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible performance by the wedding band. The musicians are HIGHLY talented and they know exactly how to keep the energy up throughout the night! One of the highlights of the night was their rendition of Shout – the energy in the room was electric, and everyone joined in to sing along. The dance floor was PACKED! Another standout was their version of Mr. Brightside, which was a fantastic way to end the night. Leading up to the wedding, we had several prep meetings with David, and it was clear he wanted every detail of our music to be perfect, from the keyboard and strings of the ceremony to cocktail hour, to the jazz trio during dinner, and finally the reception with the full band. He was very open to our preferences and made sure to incorporate all of our favorite songs into the setlist. Overall, hiring David Rothstein Music was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. They not only met but exceeded our expectations, and we're still receiving compliments from our guests about how amazing they were. My wife and I LOVED working with David. He was hands down the most involved vendor we hired, we had multiple meetings going over timeline, song choices, and other preferences because he is just that passionate about what he does. Part of what makes David Rothstein Music so great is that he loves to surprise his clients with little things on the day of. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say the surprises he had for my wife and I still have people texting us telling us how cool and thoughtful they were. I can't say enough about the atmosphere David and his band bring. They will hands down make your wedding a blast.

I was wearing two hats at this wedding Mother of the Bride and wedding planner. I’m typically just the wedding planner, but this one I got to be both, so it was extra special. I have worked with David and the band before and knew we wanted them from the beginning, and I was so right in my original thoughts! Working with David, is always a pleasure and always very professional and spot on! He covers absolutely everything you need and runs a perfect evening for you. When I’m working a regular wedding with David, I know I never have to worry that the evening will not go as planned and even better than planned, and that’s exactly what I wanted for my daughter’s wedding and that’s exactly what we got!! It was a perfect night! He ran the perfect New Year’s Eve wedding. He emceed the perfect event. He brought the my daughter and her husband a very thoughtful, special surprise gift that meant the world to them as an extra touch as well! As for the band, they are always outstanding! They had everyone on the dance floor until 1am and kept the upbeat, amazing, perfect sound that they had the entire night! We had so many compliments on the band! It was truly remarkable! David and his band were an absolute pleasure to work with. David had many calls with us to ensure we were perfectly prepared for our event and that we were getting exactly what we had wanted. David runs a fabulous event and somehow his band is even better! They had everyone dancing the whole night and we got endless compliments about how good they sounded. Some of the songs they played I actually thought was the original artist! David is also so thoughtful and gifts each couple an immensely thoughtful gift at the end of the night and I cannot say thank you enough. David was amazing from start to finish. He was easy to work with and willing to go above and beyond his job role to make sure we had the best day possible! Not only did david deal with a million emails from me changing my mind, but he also helped us a lot by providing advice during the planning process. I would say that my favorite part about work with David is that he's very attentive to the audience. If he notices the crowd isn't reacting to the music he will help correct that to get people back on the dance floor. we had a NYE wedding and David's band kept everyone dancing until 1am! The talent that is in this band is absolutely insane - they kept everything so upbeat the entire time and were interactive with the crowd as well. We received so many compliments on the band and I truly think they made a huge difference in how much people enjoyed the wedding. David also takes time to get to know his couples and goes out of his way to find different ways to make your wedding special. It is hard to put in words how amazing this band was! From day one David helped us through the whole process to make sure they delivered exactly what we were looking for. DRSM is exactly who you want when you are looking for a band for your wedding!!!!! Not only is David the real deal, but his band gets the dance floor packed!! We have had so many compliments on how awesome the band/ DJ combo was. He even went as far as to get us a wonderful personal gift for our guest to sign AND remember our furry baby ( who was always barking on our zoom calls Lol) and get him a gift as well!! David Rothstein and his band were incredible! We did the violin and guitar duo for our ceremony, the jazz quartet for our cocktail hour, and the 10-piece band for the reception. From the beginning, David was actively involved and responsive in helping get ready for the big day. He and his team were willing to learn any number of songs for our wedding. We really appreciated that they took the time to learn some of our favorite songs, which made for a special evening. They also had an unbelievably long list of songs they already know and regularly play, which allowed us to pick out some of our favorites to give them a sense of what we liked. David did an excellent job MCing and kept all our guests excited and engaged. The band did an awesome job of keeping our dance floor packed all night long, which was exactly what we wanted! They played off the crowd and provided a fun mix of popular and classic songs, including slow songs and party hits that keep you dancing. David and the band even got us a very sweet and personal wedding gift based on our favorite sports team and our dog. Throughout the evening and afterwards, we heard from so many of our guests about how great the band was! They really made it a night to remember and we are so grateful!

WOW! David Rothstein Band exceeded all our expectations at our wedding. If you want a packed dancefloor, amazing talent, and a fun time, then you should book DRS! The vocal talent of the band is UNREAL! At one point, the sax player came into the dance floor and pumped everyone up while the band played SHOUT! They were interactive and I have never seen another wedding band do anything like this before. The range of talent from the DJ, the drummer, sax player and the singers was UNREAL - we have never seen anything like DRS before and are truly blown away by how talented they are. The number one thing we were complimented on was how great the band was - guests told us they felt like they were at a concert! My number one request was for a packed dancefloor and DRS delivered! David gave us really great advice to make sure we got exactly what we wanted at our wedding. Planning with him was so easy - he always answered our emails in a timely manner and was willing to jump on a call whenever we had questions. His team took every song request we had for both the ceremony and the reception. We requested the horah and it was so much fun! David kept the energy up - I think we went for almost 10 minutes and guests said it was the best horah they've seen! Additionally, David spent time getting to know us to make sure that our wedding was special and personalized. At our reception, he surprised us with a custom gift - two IU pickleball paddles since we love playing pickleball and both went to IU! All our guests raved about this and thought it was so unique. Guests signed the paddles and we will cherish this gift forever. As soon as the dancing started, the energy in the room was electric! We danced all night long with no breaks - everyone kept saying it was the most they've ever danced at a wedding and they were sore the next day - a sign of a great time! We are so grateful our venue recommended DRS and can't imagine our wedding without them! Run don't walk to book them, they're amazing!

Calling this a wedding band doesn't even do justice, it is a musical experience beyond what I've ever seen at an event! Their talent is out of this world and David will work closely with you to have THE most perfect and curated experience. We had a non-traditional wedding gala that we wanted to be musically-forward, and David himself put together the most ambient flow and was the perfect MC to deliver on it. We had a violinist greeting guests, a jazz trio during cocktail hour, a serenading violist during dinner, and finishing with an 11-piece orchestra (highly recommend upgrading to get the additional brass instruments!!). Even down to the small details, David had the band wear black bow ties to fit our theme and made sure even little request was accounted for. Beyond the talent of the band, a great feature is that the band covers a wide range of music and will take requests to learn new songs so you're never stuck with the usual top 40s wedding songs. Working with David Rothstein band is the most fun and refreshing experience! Couldn't recommend more highly.

If you want a wedding band that truly makes your wedding day unique to you and your fiancé, David Rothstein Band is the way to go! The band is incredibly talented and so kind! We danced the entire night to a variety of amazing music with incredible musicians. From the beginning meetings with David, we could tell that he was a professional and had been orchestrating wedding receptions for a long time. We felt confident in his skillset and vision for how the night would unfold. David walked us through the "flow" of the evening and shared with us Google Docs to fill out with all of the information that he would need to make sure that his announcements throughout the night were on point. David serves as the MC for the band so not only is he making announcements throughout the evening (dancing time, eating time, first dance, toasts, etc.), he is also communicating with the other key vendors for catering and day-of coordination so that the entire evening is synchronized. In the months leading up to our wedding, David worked with the band to create a customized composition of our first dance song. We chose a very non-traditional bluegrass song and the band truly made it unique, romantic, and our guests (especially the ones who knew the bluegrass piece) were in awe. Our wedding night shared the wedding anniversary of a family member-- David was able to find out our family members first dance song and they played it special for them to have their own dance. DRB also surprised us with a gift for all of our guests to sign throughout the evening which was a special touch. This is one example of how David truly gets involved throughout your wedding and wedding planning process. David was able to keep the crowd engaged throughout the evening, brought a bubble machine onto the dance floor, the band played some of our favorite songs, and he had a very high energy! If you prefer to have an MC/Band/DJ that is more "behind the scenes" rather than an active part of your wedding day, then perhaps DRB isn't the best fit. DRB is a front-and-center vendor that truly brings the dance floor alive and brings incredibly special and personalized touches throughout the wedding evening! Having DRB at our wedding was a great investment and we are so grateful that they were able to share their talents at our wedding.

Hiring DRS Music was the best decision we ever made for our wedding! Our dance floor was packed the entire night because not only was the song selection that good, but the talent was OUTSTANDING! We received countless compliments from guests on how great the music and singers were the entire night. David really knew how to get the crowd’s attention and was incredibly responsive, professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He even created and presented us with the most thoughtful and unique poster for our guests to sign— we LOVE it so much! David told guests it would be the best wedding they had ever been too and he truly did not disappoint. My husband and I would 100% recommend David and his musicians for your wedding or any other event that you want guests to remember for years to come. I could not speak more highly of David Rothstein Music. My husband and I hired them for our May 2023 wedding in Chicago. They were one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding. We knew from the beginning that we wanted to invest in a band and to “do it right.” After looking at so many glowing reviews, watching YouTube videos, and talking with David for almost an hour about what we were looking for and what he could offer, we booked him quickly before someone else could snag our date! We are SO glad that we did. We ultimately went with the classical trio for our ceremony music, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and 10-piece band + DJ for the reception! Throughout the entire planning process, David was right there by our side. His enthusiasm, expertise, and talented group of musicians are truly unmatched. We had so much ease going into our wedding day knowing that he had our backs and that no matter what, we and our guests would have a blast on the dance floor all night. David really listened to our desires and helped us craft a reception that emphasized who we are as a couple. We gave a very long list of songs we wanted to hear and they were able to hit the vast majority of them! David was an excellent MC, helping the whole night flow seamlessly. He also gave us a surprise sentimental gift that all of our guests got to sign and donated some of our florals to a nursing home the next day! These are just examples of the care and attention he gives his couples. The band was simply awesome. We had a packed dance floor all night long- exactly what we wanted and envisioned for our reception! We have heard from countless guests that it was the best band they’ve ever seen at a wedding. The videos are so great but truly don’t even begin to capture the energy in that room. The additional ceremony music package also worked out great and David provided a microphone for us to use. The musicians were so flexible on what turned out to be a typical Chicago spring day, when we were unsure whether or not we were going to be able to have the ceremony outside as planned, or have to relocate. We could not recommend David Rothstein Music enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your wedding or event!

HIGHLY recommend David and his team. We had to change the date of our wedding multiple times due to Covid, and David was flexible and understanding the entire time. He made planning a breeze, and his team is made of true professionals. No one would leave the dance floor! I would hire them again for any events in the future.

Working with David and his team was the easiest part of our wedding planning! My husband and I knew that having great music was the top priority for our reception and the band certainly delivered. From the first day we inquired about David Rothstein and band, he called us literally within the hour to have a conversation. From that point on there was constant communication through phone, email, video calls, and text to finalize all the details about our wedding day. Using his extensive experience from performing at weddings, we were able to draw up the perfect timeline of events. We didn’t give them a lot of direction as to what we wanted played and the best part was that we didn’t need to! His band read the room and changed up music as needed. The band was all of our guest's top compliment and so many people stayed later than we would have expected because of it. David’s energy and enthusiasm kept everyone excited and having fun the entire night. From the announcements, speeches, and traditional songs, David controlled it all and made sure it was seamless. A week before the wedding we changed up the mother/son dance and David acted like it was no problem and had an arrangement that was perfect. He was so flexible and ALWAYS available to answer any questions. One of our groomsmen got excited and wanted to sing a song late in the night. David handed over a mic, turned down the volume, and let the groomsman “sing” his heart out while the band took over. Our guests loved it and it will always be a great memory. We LOVED getting pictures and videos from him the night after our wedding. Receiving those was the best surprise since professional pictures and videos take so long to get back. My husband and I are huge Notre Dame fans and David presented us with a Notre Dame football signed by Rudy. All of our guests signed it and we will treasure it forever. We truly have NOTHING bad to say about our experience with the David Rothstein Band and would recommend David Rothstein and Band to anyone and everyone! Absolutely the Best Band We Have Ever Seen!

Thank you David and team! They rolled with our requests and we could not be happier. During our ceremony we had a pianist and violinist playing a mix of classic romantic and contemporary pop songs. Then for cocktails, we had a solo pianist on the venue's baby grand playing Rat Pack/Frank Sinatra. It's everything we wanted! Thank you for taking our ideas and bringing them to life.

David and his band were the best band we could have asked for!! We still get people telling us how great our band was and that it was the best wedding band people have ever seen. He made our wedding pretty special!! Would definitely recommend!

David Rothstein, the only name you'll ever need for your musical needs at your wedding or any other social event. He's hands-on in the lead up to events, always available and a great communicator, and follows through on everything he says. Working with him was the easiest part of our wedding planning process. At our wedding itself, David was a hilarious MC with infectious energy & enthusiasm while perfectly balancing in being subtle when needed. The band was incredible I was in awe of the singer performing Whitney Houston songs and the Sax + DJ to end the night was such a perfect touch. Our group loves a little karaoke action, and his band welcomed both my uncle and my beautiful bride to join them and sing their favorite songs. For my wife and I, that was the best night of our lives, and David Rothstein Music made that happen.

Truly, the best part of our wedding. David and his wonderful team of musicians made our event into a lovely, individualized event. We wanted to have a very niche song for our first dance and they performed it beautifully. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

David and the band were fantastic! We spoke a lot with David leading up to our wedding and he never hesitated to take the time to answer any questions or discuss any concerns we had. He helped us with the cutting of our first dance song so it wasn't too long. He provided a smooth schedule throughout the whole evening and helped us KEEP our dance floor packed all night long! David took the time to get to know me and my husband and gifted us with a very personal gift for us to display in our home. The musicians were absolutely outstanding! The voices we heard throughout the night were out of this world. My husband and I see about 20+ concerts a year so having live music was very importany to us. David and his bandmates were exception and we hope to hear them again in the near future!

First, I just want to say the band was INCREDIBLE. We got so many compliments on them. The singers were wonderful and they did get a great job on all our first dance songs. My guests aren't the biggest dancers but with this band, there were consistently people on the floor all night. My frustrations come from David and Kim. David was initially great to work with, maybe a little salesy but overall I knew he would be the right choice as our MC. About 2-3 weeks before my wedding he let us know that he would not be attending and MCing, and that his partner Kim would be attending. I asked for a meeting to be set up with Kim, this never happened. On our wedding night, Kim introduced my parents has "parents of the groom" messed up some lyrics of my husbands first dance song with his mom, and just overall was not the right fit for us. They were also the only vendor that did not check in with us after our wedding to see how everything went. Again, I loved the band and do not have regrets about hiring them.

From our first conversation I knew that David Rothstein and his talented team were the perfect fit to help us create an incredible party. We chose the The State Street package which included the jazz trio for cocktail hour, followed by the jazz trio plus DJ for dinner, and the DJ drums and sax for the post dinner dancing. And let me tell you we are still receiving compliments about the set! I can’t thank David Rothstein and his team enough for making this night absolutely magical. David truly goes above and beyond to get to know the bride and groom. He gifted us a lovely customized Bears bowling ball that symbolizes two activities we enjoy doing together. Not only did David handle the music flawlessly, he also offered other advice to help us navigate our day. My favorite tip from David was that as long as the bride and groom are on the dance floor, the rest of the party will follow. Which could not have been more true the band and us dancing had the floor packed all night.

I love live music and knew I wanted a band versus DJ for my wedding. I was recommended DRM and am so happy with how the night went. David scheduled a phone call with me to go over the different options we had for our wedding. We went with a package that had a classical duo during our ceremony, jazz trio during cocktail hour, and a 10 piece orchestra during the reception with David as the emcee and a DJ too. During the planning process, David had a ton of availability to meet with us and answer any questions I had. His band was able to learn new songs for our wedding and he had tons of suggestions for how our night could run smoothly. The ceremony director, Alex, was able to take all my notes and help my ceremony vision come to life. The musicians learned a song on the piano, and they were able to have my step sister sing the processional. The timing was perfect and it played out exactly how I pictured. The reception dance floor was packed all night long! The band played old songs, new songs, etc. The perfect combo to get everyone up and dancing. They even surprised my husband and I who are both teachers with a chalkboard for guests to sign, what a great memory! Professional pictures and videos take what feels like forever to come in, but David had taken lots of behind the scenes videos and uploaded them to a YouTube page the next morning. It has been so fun going back and reliving small parts of our special day! DRM played such a huge part in making our night memorable and so much fun, I highly recommend!

Hiring David Rothstein was one of our best wedding decisions! You can tell he has been in this business for a long time and is passionate about making his couples happy. As MC he kept the band, DJ, guests etc on schedule, so the night flowed perfectly. Before our wedding day David had us fill out a questionnaire about us, which he then turned into a thoughtful gift/ image for our guests to sign. The best part out of everything is that our guests were happy and dancing the night away! Thank you David and team!

We highly recommend picking The David Rothstein Band for your wedding or event!! We did a lot of research before choosing a band, and we would choose them again in an instant if we had to do it again! First, the band is incredible. We had people on the dance floor all night long (even when the room lights were on brighter than they should've been). My family and friends are very tough critics when it comes to live music, and so many of our guests went out of their way to tell us how much they loved the band. The venue employees also kept mentioning how it was the most packed dance floor they'd ever seen. David and his team were so easy to work with and helped extensively with planning the timeline and logistics - we opted not to use a wedding planner and David made it so easy for us! I also highly recommend going with the 'dancing between courses' schedule - it creates such fun momentum for guests and dancing and David worked well with our food/venue with timing. Can't recommend them enough!! Thanks David Rothstein Band!

David Rothstein Music is simply amazing. From our very first conversation, we immediately noticed how detail-oriented, organized and professional David and his team were. David is a wonderful communicator- incredibly prompt and responsive, which was so appreciated during the wedding planning process. David would always answer our emails or texts within minutes/hours- never ignored a question, comment or message. He was always open to having a phone conversation with us, even if was about the simplest of things. As a couple communicating with multiple vendors, David was one of the best, if not the best vendor we had the pleasure of working with. My now husband and I never felt like we were just “another couple planning a wedding” when interacting with David. He made our wedding feel personal from the moment we started working together. We had a LOT of different ideas for how we could incorporate some family traditions and fun/unique ideas into our day and David was ALL about it. He thrives on making weddings feel very personal/customized and not “just another wedding.” He worked with us to help make our vision of having a family member join the band and perform a few Elvis songs, played “walk up” songs for our maid of honor and best man as they were announced for their speeches, played the exact songs we requested as our guests entered the reception, and worked with us to make our vision of a “moonlight dance” with just us two (as our guests were exiting) a reality. One of the most impressive parts about David’s service was something we didn’t know about until the wedding was over- David actually worked very closely with my mom and dad to coordinate music and other details for my dad’s father of the bride speech. My dad had a song written for us and planned out a little skit. David had multiple posters made with the lyrics and photos of our family on it, and coordinated all the details with my parents to ensure everything worked out perfectly for my dad’s speech. It was perfect. In addition to all of the behind the scenes planning, the band itself was truly impeccable- so interactive with our wedding guests, incredibly talented and entertaining. We still get compliments about our wedding band months and months later. Lastly, David himself was very active throughout the reception. This is something very unique to DRM- David isn’t on stage performing with the band, he is the emcee and facilitator throughout the night. Again, without knowing it in the moment, David took photos and videos of the band, and us/our guests dancing, and sent these to us the next day. We didn’t have our photographer/videographer stay for much of the dancing part of the reception, so the photos and videos that David took are some of the only footage we have from those hours of the night, which we will cherish forever. All in all, choosing David and his team for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding day. Thank you David and team, so much, for helping us celebrate the best day of our lives!

David and his band are truly amazing. You're probably reading other reviews, thinking "sure, everyone says their band is amazing" - but no, David is truly in a league of his own. First off, David is essentially a wedding planner on his own - throughout the planning process, David proactively reached out to us to check in and guided us through not just band-specific questions, but also answering other questions we had about the wedding. He provided templates and potential timelines to help us think through our day, and scheduled time to go over them with us. On the day of the wedding, his band was absolutely spectacular - we had a Jazz Trio during cocktail hour, who set the mood perfectly, and were extremely talented. When it came time to move from Cocktail Hour to the Reception for dinner, David acted as wedding planner, helping to gently guide people into the room to find their seats. He then became the most eloquent MC, first introducing us to "Everlasting Love" and then guiding us to our cake cutting to "How Sweet it is" (his suggestion). In addition, for each speech, he not only introduced the speaker, but was waiting for them afterwards with a glass of champagne. You may have seen that David likes to do something special for his couples - he is truly SO thoughtful. Our last name is Armor, and my husband is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan - David got a real steel helmet (from a suit of armor) for us and had all of our guests sign it! It is truly something we will treasure forever. Not only that, but David recommended that we seal the helmet, and for several days afterwards, has sent suggestions on the best sealant to use, even going so far as to go to Home Depot and ask for me! If you can't tell, the theme here is that David always goes above and beyond. In terms of the band during the Reception - I mean, just WOW. Every single musician, from the incredible vocalists, to the DJ who could also rap, to the percussionist on the Bongo drums who also played the Violin, and everyone in between was just SO TALENTED. At one point, the horn section came onto the dance floor and really got the dancing jumpstarted again! It feels like half of my guests came up to me individually to tell me how amazing the band was - both during the wedding and after, and the compliments continue to trickle in. If I could have my wedding again, I'd hire David in a heartbeat - my husband and I keep reliving it - through photos and videos that David has sent us! While we are waiting for our professional pictures and videos, it is so wonderful to have all the content that David captured to relive our special night. I truly can't say enough good things - David Rothstein and his band are the best of the best, both in character and in musical talent!

We hired David Rothstein Music for our August 2022 wedding. We had a Jazz Trio perform for cocktail hour and dinner, the 10-piece Avalon Band for dancing, and a solo DJ for late night. Overall, our experience was really great! David Rothstein is SUPER responsive and fun to talk to. He went above and beyond for us by contacting our venue coordinator and driving several hours to scout our venue. Since he wasn't going to be on-site during our wedding, he recorded videos to share with the band crew to ensure a smooth setup. David also gave us a thoughtful gift. He is a great guy and easy to work with! The musicians were also very talented. Our guests really enjoyed the band, and we received a lot of compliments throughout the night! Overall, we are happy with our decision to hire David Rothstein Music, however we felt slightly misled by the advertisement of unlimited special requests/ song requests. We both love to dance, so we spent months putting a song list together under the impression that all of our requests would be played. While the band and DJ played some of the songs on our list, they also played a good amount that were not. There was nothing wrong with the songs that were played, we were just expecting that our song requests would be prioritized, which wasn't the case. Additionally, our venue coordinator informed us that there was some issues with the band setup process, which impacted the dinner service. I believe this was due to inclement weather and poor driving conditions, so not really the fault of the band. Again, overall a really great experience!

From our first phone call with David, through the end of our reception, David and his team provided unparalleled service. The band is fantastic and your guests are guaranteed to have a great night. David's ability to "captain" the ship throughout the night is similarly unrivaled. The icing on the cake, of course, is his ability to add a unique touch to your event. (I mean, what other band leader would provide us an authentic replica of Tom Cruise's Top Gun jacket for guests to sign?!) Do yourself a favor and stop your search. Book this band today!

One word - INCREDIBLE! We first heard of David Rothstein through a friend who used them at their wedding, and he did not disappoint. From the very beginning David Rothstein was amazing to work with. During the upfront planning process, he was always extremely friendly, responsive, and accommodating - we never doubted that our wedding music would be in good hands. We hired the jazz trio for our cocktail hour and the 10-piece band with Sinatra singer for the reception. One of the most common pieces of feedback we receive from our guests is 'I couldn't believe your dance floor was full the whole time!' or 'I don't like to dance but this band kept me dancing all night!' The instrumentalists and singers were incredibly talented and fun, even interacting with the crowd throughout the night. When we were planning our wedding, we knew that having good music was a non-negotiable, and we are SO glad we went with DRM - 100% worth it!!

David Rothstein Music was an AMAZING wedding band!  It was very important to my husband and I to have great live music to listen to that kept the dance floor packed all night and David Rothstein Music delivered!  The musicians are incredibly talented and were perfect for the ceremony, cocktail hour,  dinner, and reception.  The guests were SO impressed by the band's talent and were impressed with us for having hired them!  David made the entire experience so easy and smooth.  He is incredibly responsive prior to the wedding, kept us informed and excited leading up to the day, did a great job keeping the event running smoothly, and even surprised us with a thoughtful wedding gift.  They go above and beyond prior to the event and then on the day.  They played all of our requests and learned new music to make our day special for us. We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. It’s been nearly a month since the big day and people keep telling us how amazing the music was, and we can’t stop watching the many videos David took from the night, reliving the magic that his band created. We hired David Rothstein and his band for our December wedding and they were amazing! We had everyone out on the dance floor all night long. His singers and musicians are very talented and played a great set of music. He also did a great job of keeping the night running smoothly and introducing all speeches. David was great to work with leading up to the event. He was very responsive and always willing to jump on a call. I could tell that he really cares about every event that he does and truly wants to make things special. He even let me and my husband sing with the band (we are not very good singers). I would highly recommend hiring David for your wedding or any special event. He will make the night extremely memorable and special.

I hired David Rothstein Music for our October wedding. David was extremely responsive and professional throughout the planning process. He made sure to ask all the right questions to ensure we had exactly what we wanted on our special day. The dance floor was NEVER EMPTY! The vibes were exactly what we wanted and we are still getting compliments about how great the band was. I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day and David Rothstein Music played a big part in making it so fun and special.

We made the decision to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 for one main reason: we wanted to have a wedding where our guests could dance and enjoy the FAB band we found: DRM. It truly wouldn’t be a wedding celebration without live music...and we are SO glad we waited! The 10 piece band was THE best part of our wedding! They read the crowd and performed songs based on their reactions/energy. We had the jazz trio and a DJ perform during dinner…perfect way to get the entertainment started. For our first dance, David brought in a violinist virtuoso to accompany our harpist; what a special treat that was! After the band ended, we closed the night out with a DJ trio: DJ, saxophone and drums. Everyone was so surprised, even at the end of the night! Our guests wouldn’t leave the dance floor until the music ended. David Rothstein cares about every couple and listens to what their musical preferences are. Even for a whole year of being postponed, he communicated continually and kept the enthusiasm and faith in such an unsettling pandemic time. He was incredibly flexible in rescheduling and very accommodating. In addition, he took time to know us as a couple; something truly special that you will understand the immense importance of on your wedding day. We would HIGHLY recommend David Rothstein Music if you want an instant connection with your wedding band and for your dance floor to be packed with guests dancing the night way.
