As someone who rarely wears makeup, she helped me a ton. The day of the wedding, we had 11 people getting their make up done. Dawn brought in someone she trusted to help, and because Dawn is so professional, I didn't even have to question who she was bringing with her. A friend of mine used Dawn years ago for make up, and we all loved her so much, everyone has used her for their weddings since. When it was finally my time, Dawn was the first person I booked after the church and the reception. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and a lot of that was because of Dawn. Don't hesitate- book her NOW!

, my mom and aunt wanted to get their makeup done as well. My mom was concerned on getting her makeup done as in the past, the artist did not know how to handle "older" skin types. Well I can assure you that is not the case for Dawn! My mom and aunt loved their makeup - they received so many compliments at the wedding. She uses high end makeup and very nice clean brushes - which is crucial to ensure that your makeup doesn't look too cakey in pictures and that your makeup lasts throughout the night. She was extremely prepared and professional. She even gave us all under eye bag treatments before she did our makeup! I will continue to work with Dawn on any future big events I go to. We all loved her vibe - so positive and sweet! Great person to have on your team on the big day!

The short version: The 5 star reviews I found online for her, the varied yet equally stunning looks she is able to create (as evident by her website, social media accounts and referral I received) and her ability to be professional yet personal in our communications early on were all reasons I chose her. After working with her I can additionally add that she is always quick to respond back to you, she is punctual, she is calm and flexible with any last minute changes and is happy to lend additional advice to help your day go as smoothly as possible. She has years of expertise and is such a professional that she just doesn't get her feathers ruffled easily. She gets the job done but knows how to have a good time. The bonus is that she's just a beautiful person inside and out. For those that need more detail: Dawn was recommended to me by one of my bridesmaids who was familiar with Dawn's work in 2 ways: she was in a previous wedding 8 years ago where Dawn was the MUA and she (my friend) is a hair stylist and has seen Dawn's work on a number of women wanting a variety of looks. My friend is brutally honest about her feedback and is particular about what she approves of so I believed her when she said "I've seen Dawn do glam or natural and everyone always looks amazing". I mean, if SHE was recommending Dawn she MUST be good. So I looked at Dawn's website and Instagram. I absolutely loved what I saw. I did not feel the same way after looking at other MAU's work and interviewing them. I even read part of her blog and this made me admire her even more because of how she came across as a professional AND individual. That may not matter to you, and it wasn't something I thought would make a difference to me, but it did. In the end, I booked her as fast as I could. I could NOT have been happier with everything Dawn did. We did a trial and it went great but days before my wedding I started leaning towards something different so I emailed her and asked for a more dramatic look. I trusted her enough to not feel like another trial was necessary so on my wedding day she just looked at my dress and knew instantly why I wanted more "drama". She went to work and omg I was SO THRILLED with what she did. It was perfect!!!! She did the makeup for my 6 bridesmaids and every one of them was gorgeous. For reference, we had age ranges in the 30's, 40's and 50's and every.single. woman. was. a knockout. They all said they felt incredible, they were doing selfies and getting praises from their husbands and from their friends on social media. Dawn handled the makeup for all 7 of us and it was like clockwork. She got everyone done in plenty of time and remained flexible when one girl wanted to change her look after seeing what another girl did. Thanks to Dawn, everybody's look was on point and we were on time for doing pics with our photographers. Keep in mind we never felt rushed or stressed...in fact her energy and positivity only added to the fun that day. And yes everyone's makeup looks every bit as stunning in the photos. I have ZERO regrets about hiring Dawn and will forever refer her. I would absolutely book her again.

Dawn came back and replicated her work from my wedding day. The photographers were very impressed by our ability to look the same as our wedding day.

She didn't let anything stop her from making sure our morning was as smooth as the rest of the day. My bridesmaids and my mother looked stunning..like naturally stunning. edless to say, hands down, Dawn is definitely valued for all 5 stars. She responded right away to my emails, sent my contract in the mail the next day, and was easily accessible to reach to set up my trial. I did my makeup trial before my bridal shower and wasn't as excited about it as I had hoped to be, so she offered to give me a complimentary second trial which I thought was amazing customer service. I also asked her if I should have airbrush makeup and she told me that I didn't need it. You would think that someone would love to upcharge a client, but she was looking for my best interest. My second trial was perfect and my makeup the day of the wedding far exceeded my expectations. All of my bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous, and my aunt and mom who never wear makeup also looked absolutely amazing without being overdone. I highly recommend Dawn's services and hope that future brides find this review very helpful!

We had so much fun, and I feel like she is an extension of my family. When I looked in the mirror on my wedding day I had never felt so beautiful. Photo Shoot...I knew when it was my turn to walk down the aisle, I had to have her. She was actually the very first vendor I reserved for my wedding (even before I had a venue). On my wedding day, she made me, my Mom, Mother - In - Law and seven bridesmaids absolutely gorgeous! It made my heart melt seeing my Mom batting her eyes all day (it was the first time she wore eyelashes). Brides can often feel like the day is all about them which it should be and I was definitely guilty of my bridezilla moments but I will never forget the way my Mom looked and they way Dawn made her feel. She was absolutely glowing and I will be forever grateful to Dawn for that life snapshot. Dawn, thank you so much for always making my visions come to life!

I slept in it, and touched it up the next morning, and I didn't even breakout! She's prompt and a perfectionist when doing your makeup. She does on location for trials in addition to weddings. My mom has never had her makeup professionally done, and she was very nervous, but she was so happy with her overall look! She looked years younger! Dawn used to be a model, and still could be (she's gorgeous), so she knows all of the tricks of the trade. Don't look anymore! Book her ASAP because she fills up fast! I booked her in July and my wedding was in December. She had someone contact her the day of my trial about my wedding date. Thank God I snagged her when I did! I won't go to anyone else except Dawn! Each of us have different faces, features, eye colors and skin tones and Dawn did a great job on every single one of us. She made us look made up and special, without being overboard or too cake-y. In her words "There's no way I can get my make up looking that perfect next to you guys :)". Dawn was more than accommodating and anyone that wanted to jump in the chair could. Even with the extra person we were ready with more than enough time to spare. I love my bridesmaids, but I have never seen them look more beautiful than they did after Dawn was finished with them. One of my other bridesmaids (who married the year before) asked me "Where was Dawn when I got married?!?". I received countless compliments throughout the night of how my make up was so beautiful and flawless. My make up lasted me through the whole day (applied at noon on the day of the wedding) all the way till I got on the plane to my honeymoon at 8am the next day. Dawn is very professional, punctual, and has a great personality (not to mention a great sense of fashion =P). I have never seen my mom look more gorgeous than she did the day of my wedding. The makeup was perfectly placed and age-appropriate, but Dawn wasn't afraid to lay on the eye liner and false eyelashes to make her look over-the-top stunning. As for my makeup, it was EXACTLY what I wanted. During the trial, Dawn asked to see photos of me when I would put on make up to go out so she could gauge what would be appropriate for the big day - well she nailed it! We had a large bridal party of 9 plus the mom's and grandma and aunt who all had their makeup done as well. Because we had such a tight timeline Dawn brought in another professional artist who's work was right on par with Dawn's. The two worked very well together and really made things fun. I would recommend Dawn to anyone of any age and I can't wait for another special occasion so I can call Dawn and have her work her magic!
