Dawn made my wedding day so special. It’s something I’ll never forget. Not only is she incredibly talented, she’s absolutely gorgeous. She has very calm energy, which is something that I deeply appreciate. I knew what I wanted, but I also knew could trust her eye. She is on time and delivers. I felt like a glam version of myself. My husband loved the look so much that I’m his new phone background. He burst into tears as soon as he saw me. And believe her when she says the makeup will last. Mine lasted all day (and all night 😉💕)!

A friend who recently got married used Dawn and she looked beyond incredible at her wedding so I booked her then did a trial later. I wanted a little something different than what I usually do for that WOW factor and she nailed it on the 1st try. She was super easy to work with and my bridal party loved her, especially my mom. I'm so happy I found Dawn for my wedding. I was going to use another person where we did two trials and she was fine. Then I found out Dawn was available for my wedding day and did a trial with her. This is where I discovered there's a difference between people who apply makeup and a true makeup artist. Dawn is the latter. She has a gift with makeup and transformed me to the best I've ever looked. Even my husband commented on how amazing she is. And his first marriage was with a makeup artist and he likes to say how he knows makeup. I have since used Dawn for special occasion makeup. I highly recommend her. She is magic!

I attended a platinum black tie wedding that promised to be over the top so I splurged on glam to look my best. I hired Dawn twice to give me a makeup lesson then follow-up makeup lesson but this was my 1st time having her do my makeup for an event. I’ve seen her work before so I was so excited to have her work her magic on me and when I tell you I have never felt more beautiful, that would be an understatement. I was ASTONISHED when I looked in the mirror! She took 10yrs off and made my eyes pop! The colors she used were super flattering to my features and made my eyes look so green. There were hints of sparkle that made it glamorous considering the occasion but it wasn’t childish in any way. I left her studio feeling like a million bucks and received so many compliments. Dawn is beyond talented and I recommend her to everyone in need of a makeup lesson or makeup for a special occasion.

I found Dawn through Google and was impressed with her positive reviews and variety of looks on women of all ages and ethnicities so I booked a trial for an event I had. We hit it off instantly! She’s so funny and personable not to mention incredibly talented. She made everyone in my wedding party look like legit celebrities. Hiring Dawn as your wedding day makeup artist is a NO BRAINER! I found Dawn after having a not-so-great experience with a different makeup artist (also rated highly), and it was a clear YES for me after my make up trial with her. Dawn is super skilled at what she does, and her passion ensured I looked nothing less than beautiful on my wedding day. Having a diverse wedding party, I needed to trust that whomever I hired had the skills to work with various skin complexions and deliver a unique look based on their features. My entire wedding party LOVED their makeup and felt comfortable having her do their makeup and it lasted ALL DAY! Additionally, there were small tweaks I wanted to make to my look the day of and she delivered! She uses high end makeup and brushes which MATTERS!

Dawn is incredible! I’ve known Dawn for years as she has done all three of my older sisters weddings and most recently she did my makeup for my wedding! I am a tough critic when it comes to makeup, usually preferring to do my own but I cannot recommend Dawn enough. I booked Dawn for my wedding makeup. The style I saw she had in her portfolio stuck out to me over other makeup artists. She gave me the bold-eye look I was going for on my wedding day. I felt exceptionally beautiful and received many compliments. She also did the makeup of both moms, sisters, and aunts. Her range of bold to natural looks was appreciated and loved by all. Dawn is a makeup magician!!! She made me and my bridesmaids all feel (and look!) so beautiful on my wedding day. No amount of teary eyes or dancing could smudge the incredible looks she created. We got soooo many compliments on our makeup!!! Not only is she an incredible makeup artist, but she is so fun to talk to! We had a blast getting ready with her. She kept everything going on time, and even did an extra face upon request the day of. She brings an incredible energy with her, and makes getting ready feel like a party even at 9 in the morning!! It helped that her and our hair stylist are good friends. Dawn is definitely the best in the Chicagoland area and I cannot recommend her enough. I first had the pleasure of getting the Dawn treatment as a bridesmaid in 2015. When I was planning my 2020 wedding I never forgot her and booked her for myself, my mother and my bridesmaids. Dawn is very professional and responsive. She is there to answer any questions and arrived promptly for both my trial and wedding day. She really brings glam to a whole new level, complimenting everyone's features and array of skin tones. Her bridal makeup is soft and glamorous and everything a bride and her girls should be on their wedding day. My mom has very sensitive eyes and has never worn fake eyelashes. Dawn did such a good job on her mature skin, my mom had no issues with eye irritation from the little single falsies and looked beautiful all night at my wedding (an extra thank you for that) . My bridal party still talks about how beautiful they looked and felt after Dawn the "Glam Glow Queen" worked her magic. Thank you , beautiful Dawn!

Dawn was great from start to finish! I signed a contract with Dawn around 2 years prior to our wedding date, and let her know it was very important to me to ensure all skin tones and races could be accommodated. She included Ladwina for the day, who was also incredibly patient and talented. My make-up artist fell through and we added another additional person to the list. They were on time and did a flawless job. I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married, or for an event!

You will not find a better artist than Dawn. When reviewing work and trying to find someone for our special day, a lot of the other makeup artists seemed to be creating the same look on each bride. Not Dawn. Dawn is truly that- an artist. Not only did I feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life, but each person that sat in her chair stood up and looked at themselves with this confidence that filled my heart with so much gratitude for Dawn. If you want to look absolutely flawless with makeup that lasts you must book Dawn for your special day! I did not have a vision of exactly what I wanted for my makeup so I made sure to book my trial. During that trial Dawn took the few comments I had and made me feel beyond beautiful! I could not wait for the wedding day to arrive. At the last minute I added a girl to the count and Dawn was able to accommodate when she didn’t have to. All day and night I received compliments on how amazing my makeup was. The best make up artist in Chicago! From the beginning she has been amazing and so easy to work with. Always takes her time to explain any questions and my make up trial completely blew my mind. I was more then an hour late and she was so understanding and still excited to do my makeup! I was completely in love with my make up from my trial and it lasted all day! Not only do I feel like the luckiest bride that I booked with her I feel like I also made a new friend just after meeting for the first time. She also has been so easy to work with during Covid-19 she didn’t not second guess my date change and didn’t even charge a reschedule fee! Not only is Dawn incredibly talented, she has been absolutely wonderful to work with has we have navigated the postponement of our wedding. She has been extremely responsive and flexible which as made this difficult process much easier. While most vendors are charging re-booking fees to couples postponing their weddings, Dawn is not putting that burden on her clients which speaks volumes of her character. I couldn't be happier that I chose Dawn has my make-up artist. HIGHLY recommend!

Dawn has been amazing through this whole process! Having to rebook my wedding to next summer due to Covid-19 has been a nightmare but Dawn has been there for me every step of the way. She is super easy to get a hold of and so understanding about changes we had to make. I am so thankful that she did not charge me any rebooking fees and kept my quote the same for my new date. Dawn did my makeup for my son’s wedding in February of this year and was absolutely amazing! She conveniently traveled to my home, was on time and prepared to make our day as stress free as possible. I cannot say enough how beautiful my makeup turned out. I tend to have heavy bags and dark circles under my eyes and Dawn made them disappear completely! I will definitely be using Dawn for my events in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist for any of your special occasions.

Dawn did my makeup for my daughter’s wedding and I have never felt more beautiful or received more compliments in my life! I jokingly asked if she could make me look 10yrs younger and I ended up looking 15-20yrs younger! My husband couldn’t stop staring at me in the best way! I’m not sure how she does it...she said something about techniques but I think her brushes are magic wands. My daughter and her bridesmaids looked flawless as well. Everyone was happy and felt so beautiful. I will recommend Dawn to all of my friends whose daughters are getting married.

I am truly grateful that Dawn Bliss did my makeup for my wedding. Not only is she an amazing artist but she has a beautiful soul inside and out. I heard about Dawn through my best friend who had her makeup done by her in a previous wedding she stood up in. The night that I got engaged she told me the first vendor I need to book is Dawn and I am so happy I listened! Dawn got back to me right away and was always very prompt in answering any questions that I had. As soon as I met Dawn I felt like I had known her forever. She makes you feel so comfortable and is genuinely such a nice person. Dawn did my makeup for my wedding shower and wedding and I received so many compliments. She truly is so talented! I had 10 bridesmaids for my wedding with very different personalities and styles and every single girl was so impressed and happy with their makeup. She works well with everyone and was even familiar with some of my other vendors who also raved about her and her work. Weddings can get stressful but Dawn made it an easy experience. I would definitely recommend her to all the brides out there! It was a pleasure working with Dawn and I would love to work with her again in the future.

Dawn is absolutely the best there is!! She was my makeup artist for years before I moved out of state. When wedding planning rolled around, I did trials with many high profile makeup artists and none compared to Dawn. I ended up booking her to travel to me for my wedding shower and wedding. Dawn and her team are amazing make-up artists. I have had my make-up done by Dawn multiple times including my own wedding and she has NEVER disappointed. It was a pleasure to work with Dawn! She did such an amazing job with my makeup and with all of my bridesmaids' makeup. One of my bridesmaids was initially very hesitant to have her makeup done professionally because she has had several bad experiences of looking "clownish" and too overdone with other makeup artists. I had told her to trust me that this time she will not be disappointed. I was right!! My bridesmaid was beyond thrilled with her makeup! Dawn was very easy to work with and she really listens to you and understands and respects you. She was highly recommended from another bride who had her makeup done by Dawn. She definitely did not disappoint. At the trial I told Dawn the look I wanted for my wedding and she was able to achieve that look and even better! She wrote down detailed notes on what products and colors she used on me and took several pictures of me so she would be able to create that identical look on my wedding day. People told me on my wedding day that I was beaming all day and that I looked stunning! When I was walking down the aisle with my father, I overheard someone from the pews say, "She's gorgeous!" I cannot tell you how that made me feel as I was seconds away from approaching my husband to be. Dawn is FANTASTIC! From start to finish- booking her to the day of- she is so easy to work with. She truly cares about her clients and listens to them. She came out to my house for the trial and made sure I liked everything for the big day. As someone who rarely wears makeup, she helped me a ton. The day of the wedding, we had 11 people getting their make up done. Dawn brought in someone she trusted to help, and because Dawn is so professional, I didn't even have to question who she was bringing with her. A friend of mine used Dawn years ago for make up, and we all loved her so much, everyone has used her for their weddings since. When it was finally my time, Dawn was the first person I booked after the church and the reception. Dawn did makeup for my bridesmaids & I this past June for my wedding and everyone was very happy with their end result. Initially, I didn’t have enough bridesmaids to meet the 6 person minimum but last minute a few changed their mind. I quickly reached out to Dawn (2 weeks before my wedding) and not only was she able to accommodate for my wedding day, we also snuck in a trial the day before. She was very punctual, flexible, and an obvious expert in her field. I am so happy I was able to conjure up enough bridesmaids because I knew I wanted Dawn to do my bridal makeup from the second I saw some of her work on Instagram. I found Dawn right here on the Knot.com and i still ca’t believe how Lucky i Was. My wedding was almost a week ago and I can tell you that many things went wrong or not as expected, but the make-up part was exactly how it should be for a bride. I looked flawless, but natural and like myself. My bridesmaids always have honest opinions and they all loved Dawn’s work and how calm she was. I hope many ladies will trust her for their big day or any other special occasions and they’ll have one less thing to worry about.

After what seemed like countless hours scrolling through websites and Instagram looking for someone to do my bridal makeup, everything was looking exactly the same. That was until I came across Dawn - I could tell immediately from looking through her portfolio that she was a next level makeup artist, and I booked her right away without a trial. She is truly amazing at what she does and is a total pro. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and beyond that, it was so amazing to see how happy my bridal party and my mom were with their makeup. I’ve had my makeup done for events before, but it all paled in comparison to Dawn’s work. She’s a bit of a splurge, but that’s because of the quality of her work. I would 1000% hire her again and recommend her to anyone who needs makeup services.

Dawn recently did make up for my wedding day. I have never looked or felt more beautiful in my whole life. She is amazing to work with, so nice and kind, we loved having her in the hotel getting ready with us. Not only did she do my make up, but my mom's, who had never had hers done professionally before and was nervous. Dawn was wonderful, and gave her just the look she was going for. Dawn is AMAZING!! She did my makeup for the first time when I was a bridesmaid for one of my friends. I booked with her immediately for my own wedding! She has done my makeup for my other friend's wedding, my bridal shower, and for my own wedding! Every time it is flawless and she always makes me feel beautiful and confident. I would recommend her to anyone! It was hot and almost 100 degrees for my wedding and the makeup did not move, even with us sweating the whole time!! It looked like I just got it done when I went to bed. Not only are her skills amazing, but she is so kind and personable. Dawn and her team are the best of the best! I come from a family of makeup snobs and each one is still raving about the quality and perfection that is Dawn Bliss.
