husband and I decided to get professional pictures taken. I was Facebook friends with Dawn Corwin at Dawn Corwin Creative Photography, so I reached out to her to see what her prices were. She informed me that I would need to pay a $300 deposit to book the date, and then I would pay for whatever images I want, once I SEE the photos! I explained to her that I most likely wouldn’t want pictures printed because I prefer them all to be digital. Her next question was wanting to know the amount of my budget. Which I informed her it would be $400. I’m told at that point to go into her office the next day to pay the $300 and that she would have a date waiting for me. Which I did and asked for the date that I was TOLD I would get. She had nothing for me. So I wait the rest of the day, thinking I would hear from Dawn. I don’t know what I was expecting but maybe some sort of message saying, “Hey, thank you for coming into pay today. I know I told you I would have a date set up for you, but I’m still working out my schedule and will get one to you asap.” But nope. I had to message HER that night and ask about one. Which I was told at that point that I would get one soon. 15 days later.. still no date. So I message her again. No response. On the 16th day, I call her office and leave a message. No call back. So that evening I sent a message requesting a full refund because she had failed to give me a date that I have ALREADY PAID FOR. I then decided to take it a step further and tag her in her own personal post on fb, and requested that she check her messages and respond to me. Within an hour she responded. She completely DISREGARDED the fact that I wanted a full refund!! She even ADMITTED that her office let her know that I called and she had still FAILED to reach out to me. She apologized and said she would have a date to me asap and gave me her personal cell phone number. Immediately I texted her and explained that I wanted to sever our business relationship and that I wanted a full refund. She responded and asked that I please give her the opportunity to correct the issue and she would waive any additional fees for my images. So I accepted that deal. We discussed the types of photos I was requesting, places to shoot them, outfits etc. but yet.. I still didn’t have a date. I asked her to get back to me with a date asap and that I would be respectful of her evening and wait for her to contact me. 2 days later and still no date. I texted her again to sever ties, and explained to her that I had disputed the $302 charge with my bank. This was a dead end though. My credit union informed me (after 10 days) that they could not reimburse my money because I made the transaction with my debit card “in person” and not directly online. So, as of today I have filed a claim for small claims court. I don’t know what the future holds as far as her being held responsible to pay me back because from what I hear it’s a problem getting people to follow through and pay these sorts of things without having access to their banking info to garnish wages. But if I can prevent this from happening to someone else, that makes it all worth it.

finally stepped in and told her I would have to take her to court.i have only received 64 of them.they are crap they look horrible! Oldest son looks like he needs to shit.youngest looks angry.none of my middle son.quality was poor.they look yellow and not crisp.she only posts the pics of people that she takes her time with.like her own fb selfies but comes to my wedding with a huge black eye and horrendous makeup coverup.she left an hour before her paid time was up.my DJ took better pictures for his page.so if u need an awesome dj go to djnick he was worth every penny! She is not!
