She answered all my preliminary questions and was flexible when I had to schedule my trial very far in advance due to me living far away. On the day of my wedding, Melissa F. and Crystal arrived at my house early and did such an amazing job on everyone's hair and makeup! I got married in April. Dawn and her team were AMAZING. I first met Dawn's team when I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding (they did full hair and makeup), and I just knew I had to have her for mine. I'm half Black half Indian, and was worried about having a team that could accommodate different skin tones and hair types. All 6 of my bridesmaids looked FLAWLESS and I couldn't be happier. During our trial, my mom and I actually weren't totally in love with our hair and makeup, but I shared my concerns with Dawn and on the wedding morning we looked perfect. My maid of honor hired Dawn Rose for the wedding makeup for my five bridesmaids and she was a great choice. We had Renee as the makeup artist and she came to my home. We showed her a few pictures of what we wanted and she got the look perfectly. We were very happy with how quickly she got through the makeup for all the girls and helped reduce stress that morning. Dawn was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone in my bridal party, moms included, felt gorgeous! The make up was top quality, lasted all day, and looked perfect in pictures. My MIL and MOH rarely wear make up and were very apprehensive about it being to heavy. Dawn was so understanding and gave them a lighter/natural look that still gave the wow factor in pictures. Dawn and Catherine did an amazing job on mine and my bridal parties makeup for my wedding in June. From doing my makeup for my engagement pictures, to the trial,and the day of Dawn made the process so easy and I loved how everything came out. Crystal did my makeup for my May 20th wedding and I cannot say enough good things about her. Every person was beyond happy with her work, and she listened to every single request that we each had. She was such a calm presence during the craziness of the morning too! I got back a few pictures from our photographer, and as I've been sending them to people they always comment on how amazing my makeup looks. I wanted to look natural, like a prettier version of myself, and that's EXACTLY what Crystal did. I wish I had more reasons to book her! Would recommend her in a heartbeat!!

I found Dawn Rose through one of the girls at the hair salon I go to. There was a mishap in scheduling and the girl originally doing my makeup was no longer available and referred me to Dawn. Since my wedding was a month away, I text Dawn right away and she immediately responded. I was extremely happy when she said she had someone available for my date. I had my makeup trial a couple of weeks later and I couldn't be any happier. Anna did an amazing job during the trial and my husband (who hates when I wear makeup) said I looked beautiful. This made me even more confident with how I would look my wedding day. Anna was early and started on my bridesmaids right away with the minimal space we had. Melissa was amazing! She knew exactly what I wanted as far as my hair and makeup to look like on my big day.. I had a trial with her about a month previous to our wedding date and it was so effortless, that I even got a little worried.. I used dawn rose for my wedding in March. I had dawn and Meliasa m for my makeup and hair. Dawn did an amazing job with my makeup. She used airbrush and it lasted all night. She was very easy to work with and very accommodating. Melissa m did my hair and a few of my other bridesmaids and everyone's hair stayed in place all night. We also had Ana and Melissa f come and do some bridesmaids and aunts and grandparents hair and makeup. Everyone came out really good and we all got compliments on our hair and makeup. recently got married last weekend and wanted to express how fantastic Dawn, Pina, and Anna were for the hair and makeup for us! Also, Anna is a magician, all of our hair still looked great, especially I know with certain hair types curls tend to falk after a while but ours looked fantastic even until the next day. I first met Dawn when my sister was searching for a makeup artist for her wedding over 3 years ago. Upon completing the initial makeup trial, my sister was sold. My sister's makeup was absolutely stunning on her big day. I was the maid of honor and have never felt more beautiful than I did that day...until my wedding of course! I used the dawn rose team for my wedding day and was so pleased! I had Melissa m and Marilyn for hair. They both did an awesome job on my hair and all my bridesmaids hair! Everyone's hair stayed all night long and looked great. Dawn and Melissa f did the makeup for all of us. Everyone's makeup looked great. The airbrush looked so great and lasted the entire night. I am so thrilled that I found Dawn Rose Artistry Hair and Make Up. Dawn did my make up for the trial and my day of and both times she outdid herself. I loved how soft and natural it all looked and felt. Airbrushing is the way to go. Nothing smudged, smeared and the make up held up for 10 hours. What a fantastic feat that was. She was so easy to work with and comfortable to be around and chat with. Marilyn did my hair and am so thankful she did. She was a last minute miracle (2 weeks before my wedding my initial hair stylist backed out) Dawn came through and it was like fate. My hair for the trial was awesome, she is so quick and thorough, checking it at all the right angles to see how it looks. On my big day it looked just as perfect, 10x secured in because my hair can be stubborn. She also showed my girls how to take out the veil without ruining any of the updo. My hair lasted through the night and even the next morning the curls stayed nicely and the braid held up so I had a cute morning after bun look. Couldn't have asked for 2 better women to work with for my hair and make up on my wedding day.

Words can not describe the amazing job Dawn did on my make up!! It was perfect I got so many compliments and so did my bridal party.. Dawn is amazing and makes your face looks flawless for the whole day. She was very good about making sure everyone did not leave chair until they were happy with there makeup! I hired Dawn Rose for my wedding day hair & make up and in the end everything turned out ok but it was a long road to perfecting a hairstyle that I was 100% confident with for the wedding day. I needed to have 3 separate trials + buy hair extensions which I did not budget for as I didn't expect any of that to be necessary. I also had 2 makeup trials because my skin tone was off in the first one-I felt orange when I looked in the mirror in natural daylight after I left, but they got it right the 2nd time. I will say that the hair issue was partially my fault since I wasn't sure if I wanted an updo or down do and we were trying different things, but I was expecting to be blown away by SOMETHING after the trials & I kept leaving feeling unsure of how to proceed. After the 2nd trial I was assigned a new hairstylist which helped. We focused on 1 particular updo, used extensions to add volume, & I left feeling good about the outcome. On the morning of the wedding we were about 90% of the way through my updo when I realized that the hair extensions were never put in (I had a lot on my mind, as you could imagine. I was not thinking about the extensions). The updo was looking good & we were way too far into it to start dismantling it (not to mention I needed to start getting dressed shortly), but I had already paid in full for the extensions plus the installation price for the trial AND the wedding day. It was a big chunk of money I would've been surrendering if we didn't find a way to get the extensions in. Unfortunately Dawn was not present on my wedding day & no one was sure how to handle the situation or if I could even get a refund for the above mentioned. Definitely not good not having the boss there. My stylist was able to add a few of the small extensions in-it wasn't ideal but at least I didn't feel like I threw ALL that money away. In the end my hair and make up were gorgeous and once I got out of the chair it was the least of my worries for the rest of the day. Additionally, my mom's hair came out very nice but it was by no means as intricately done as the picture she brought with her of an updo she'd gotten a few years ago, it was like 2 totally different styles. She couldn't go for a trial before the wedding but I don't think she should have needed one. The stylist who did her original updo a few years back nearly did the whole thing with her eyes shut, it wasn't that complicated of a hairdo. I think there was just a very different skill level involved. Lastly, the day after the wedding my mom noticed black stains all over her brand new carpet where the makeup was being done. It took her hours to try to get them out and they're still visible. Something should have been put down under the chair before anyone's makeup was done but with all the craziness of hosting everyone on a wedding morning that seems like something the professionals should have thought to do, not us. Overall, I was more frustrated than anything throughout the entire process. I am happy with how my wedding day look turned out but feel like I probably could've done better elsewhere. My advice would be to either have a VERY specific idea of what you want going into the trial or be prepared to pay for more than one, request that Dawn be present on your wedding day so someone has an idea of what to do in a sticky situation, and make sure your carpet is covered unless black stains are your thing.

Dawn and her team did an amazing job with the hair and make-up for my wedding! They were on time, professional, and fun to be around. My mom didn't love her hair the first time and Melissa was so great about re-doing it and making sure she loved it! Melissa did my hair and is just spectacular. So sweet and happy to do whatever it takes to make you happy. She even did two trials for me because I couldn't make up my mind. Dawn did my make up and she is a rock star! Honestly, I still can't believe how gorgeous she made me look. I looked like me, but WAYYY better. She was fun, helpful, and really knows what she is doing. Dawn provided makeup services for myself, three bridesmaids and two mothers of the bride & groom. She also brought along Anna to work on all our hair. They both did an absolutely gorgeous and wonderful job. I am not the type of person who wears makeup daily - so I went through several makeup trials before I settled on Dawn. Dawn and Marilyn did our hair and makeup for the wedding, and we all looked stellar. It was an early start. They showed up on time at 6AM and finished by 9AM, so we could move on to photos. Dawn, with the know how and experience, really listened to our likes and dis-likes. I was looking for simple with not a big-to-do, and she nailed it! My husband is not a huge fan of lots of make-up... but when he couldn't stop saying wow wow wow... I knew it was just right.The rest of the bridal party looked absolutely gorgeous. Dawn did a wonderful job on my mother as well. My mom felt really great after she was all done up! Marilyn nailed all the hair-dos. She would do a hair do while still looking at the one she just completed... and would make adjustments as she went along. Pictures are a good idea for ideas... but these two girls really didn't need them. We really looked lovely on the wedding day.

I was married two weeks ago. I booked Dawn about 8 months before my wedding. I used her service for hair and makeup for myself, my MOH, bridesmaid, mother of the bride and mother of the groom. Dawn and her team were great. They arrived on time at 5:45am at our hotel. They were able to finish our hair and makeup five minutes before 9am. I had my bridal makeup trial last week for my engagement photos and had a great experience with Melissa. She explained everything she was doing amd the benefits of trying something new, like airbrush, but didn't make me feel pressured. The makeup lasted all day and still looked great. Dawn and Anna were great. It started snowing the morning of my wedding day. They weren't expected to arrive till 1:30, they were both on time and did not rush us to try and leaver early even though it continued to snow all night and they had to drive all the way home afterwards. They both did a great job with all of our hair and make-up.

As a gift to my bridesmaids and mother-in-law, I also had Dawn and her team take care of them as well! Everyone was so happy with the results! We had 8 people getting hair and makeup done for my wedding that consisted of myself, 5 friends, and a mother of the bride, and mother of the groom, all with different styles. Although they are all beautiful to begin with, everyone was stunning by the time Dawn's team was done with them! The makeup was flawless - natural yet definitely enhanced. Each hair style complimented the girl and stayed all night (with taking pictures on the windy beach and while dancing). The makeup did not fade either. I dealt mainly with the owner, Dawn, when it came to setting up the contract specifics, logistics, etc. She was professional and answered my emails in a very timely fashion. I loved that she would do "on-site" with only a three person minimum (we wound up with four - but that was still a great benefit)... and they offer both airbrush and lashes, which were big selling points for me! Crystal, her daughter, did the actual make-up for my trial and event. I have to say she was the perfect balance of nice and professional. Super sweet - but equally talented. She was able to adjust makeup perfectly for two moms - and then again for me and my sister. And we were ALL happy !!! Quite the feat! Thank you again!

Dawn was a pleasure to work with - very professional and personable. It started with a great trial where she worked with me to get the makeup just as I wanted. And the day of the wedding everything went smoothly. She showed up on time, worked on me (the bride) first, then my girls and Mom. Everyone was happy with the results! Definitely helped make my day beautiful! Ladies - airbrush is the way to go!

I used Dawn Makeup Artistry for my wedding on Jan. 17th, 2014. They were marvelous! Melissa and Crystal both did an amazing job on my hair and makeup, as well as my bridesmaids hair and makeup. We were doing pictures before the ceremony and needed to get ready really early in the morning. Everyone showed up promptly and were all ready to roll :) In addition, they were very easy to work with and professional. They were even able to handle my mom's particular requests with her hair and makeup. Dawn's staff were able to exceeds everyone's expectations. I would highly recommend their services to any bride looking for a hair and makeup artist for their wedding.

I went to Dawn almost two weeks before my wedding panicking. My originl person I was going to have do my makeup had to go into surgery and wouldn't be able to help me. Panicked and stressed with the wedding only two weeks away I called my DJ (This Magic Moment) and he referred me to Dawn. She told me to come in for a trial the next day and let me tell you.. it was one of the BEST things to happen to me for my wedding. She was funny, energetic and best of all she is a true artist with her makeup. My face was airbrushed and then she added finishing touches, making me look flawless and feeling completely comfortable. My mother loved her work at the trial that she paid in full right there, right then for me, her and the maid of honor (my sister). The day of the wedding she came to my house where we were getting ready and set up. She was talkative and added to the energetic vibe the morning of the wedding. She is fabulous in her work.and her communication with her customers. Definitely will use her again and recommend her to everyone. She's worth it. She saved my wedding from a makeup disaster!

I hired Dawn Rose Makeup & Hair for my 11/16/13 wedding after having my trial with Anna and Carolyn. I could not be happier with how everything turned out! Anna, my makeup artist was amazing! She did my makeup, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mother by herself and was ahead of schedule! She took her time with each girl and made everyone look absolutely flawless. My guests couldn't get over how beautiful my bridal party was. I also couldn't believe how amazing my makeup came out. I looked better than I ever thought I could! The same goes for Anna, who did everyones hair in the same amount of time. Every girl had gotten a different style, some updos, some down, and Anna did everyone completely effortlessly and kept the pace of the day. My photographer even commented that he was shocked at how ahead of schedule the hair and makeup was. I would absolutely recommend Dawn Rose to anyone! Dawn was great to work with leading up to the wedding, and Anna and Carolyn were so pleasant, fun and talented! They made the morning of my wedding such a breeze and made us all feel like celebrities!
