Dawson Entertainment

quick calls we were able to get all the details set. On the day of, the sound and music for the ceremony were great and when it came time for the reception it was an all night party with the exact vibe we requested. I would highly recommend Dawson Entertainment to others looking for a great wedding/event DJ.

d to ensure that our day was perfect and even gifted us a framed print out of the lyrics to our first dance song!!! Picking a DJ that matched our party vibe was incredibly important to us as 30s millennials. We can confidently say that the dance floor was packed the entire night with banger after banger, perfect flow, high energy, classy club vibe! People are still talking about how fabulous the music was a month later. His energy and vibe kept the crowd excited!! The flow of the event was perfect. He also did our uplighting which was a HUGE mood setter and truly made the event space look FABULOUS!! Brides: don’t walk, RUN to book Dawson Entertainment because you will not be disappointed. Jason and team, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU

edding at the Rosecliff in Newport. His experience and achievements speak for themselves, and he certainly delivers as advertised. He facilitated detailed planning with ease and went the extra mile in curating a playlist we loved (including remixes of some classic songs that we wanted to hear but weren't conducive to dancing in their original form). He works closely with his clients to achieve the sound, look and that feel they want. We benefited greatly from his deep understanding of how to craft a musical playlist that (i) includes songs you love, (ii) effectively creates the atmosphere you seek, and (iii) manages / enhances your guests' energy. On the big day: the setup went on without a hitch, the audio both outside and inside were very high quality, volume was on point, his booth and equipment looked great, Jason was well dressed and professional, and his music was FANTASTIC. Consider Dawson Entertainment for your wedding or other event. Loved working with them and they are an elite provider.

to walk us down the aisle to Cannon, first dances with some oldies for our oldies, and then shredded it like it was 2013 all over again at the end of the night. Seriously though, Jason did a stellar job and made our wedding one that everyone is still buzzing about a few weeks later. What a great time - and THANK YOU! Mr. & Mrs. Giuntoli

sponsive! We told him our vision, gave him some inspiration for the playlist, and he kept the party going all night. I can’t even begin to list the number of compliments we got on our DJ and music! We also had a specific family dance that we wanted to do, and through the whole planning process, Jason was always available for a quick phone call, or would send edits of songs promptly to make sure that moment was perfect. He clearly has a passion for music and it shows in his work. We couldn’t recommend Jason and Dawson Entertainment enough for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!

he weekend, and people were commenting on his talent almost immediately after getting on the dance floor. One guest even said, “As a guy who goes to a lot of clubs and sees a lot of DJs, this guy is really talented.” That perfectly sums it up. He completely blew everyone away. His flow was flawless, his timing was perfect, and he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He seamlessly incorporated everything we had discussed ahead of time while still making the night feel spontaneous, exciting, and completely tailored to the energy in the room. Every transition, song choice, and moment felt intentional. He kept the dance floor alive and made the entire night feel truly special. We worked with him for nearly a year, and throughout the entire process he was flexible, professional, collaborative, and willing to do whatever it took to bring our ideas to life. He worked with us on custom mixes, followed through on every detail, communicated beautifully with us and our planners, and brought so much more to the table than we ever expected, including the uplighting and MCing. Even a playlist he created as background music for our beach party had guests commenting on how incredible it was. One of the most meaningful extras was that he recorded the full set and shared it with us afterward so we could relive the night. It has only been three weeks, and we have already listened to it so many times. Being able to hear the music, transitions, and energy again is such a gift. He was our favorite vendor and added an entirely new level of joy, excitement, and magic to the day. We were completely blown away by his talent, professionalism, creativity, flexibility, and ability to deliver on absolutely everything. We could not recommend him more highly, and we would choose him again a thousand times over!

the administrative details, making sure every question was answered and every piece was in place long before our wedding day. DJ Donny was equally incredible. He kept everything running so seamlessly that we barely had to think about what was happening behind the scenes - which is one of the greatest gifts you can give a couple on their wedding day. Every transition, announcement, and detail was handled with such care that we were free to simply enjoy the day and be present with our family and friends. Together, they made the entire experience feel effortless. We're so grateful for their professionalism, warmth, and the care they brought to our wedding. If you're considering this team for your wedding, don't hesitate. You'll be working with people who genuinely care about getting every detail right so you can focus on what matters most: celebrating the day with the people you love. We're so thankful they were part of ours.

t the entire planning process. He took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and made us feel completely confident that everything would run smoothly. On our wedding day, he absolutely exceeded our expectations. The music was perfect from start to finish, the transitions were seamless, and he did an amazing job reading the crowd. Our dance floor was packed all night long, and we've had so many guests tell us how much fun they had because of the music and energy he created. Jason also kept everything on schedule without ever making it feel forced. He struck the perfect balance of being engaging while still letting the focus remain on us and our celebration. If you're looking for a DJ who is professional, organized, responsive, and knows how to keep a party going, we cannot recommend DJ Dawson enough. Thank you for helping make our wedding day unforgettable!

en we had our initial meeting with DJ Jason a year prior, we were excited purely based on his DJ experience and confidence. As our wedding got closer and we met with other vendors, our caterer and venue, they were all praising Dawson Entertainment and Jason’s work. We met with Jason a month out from the wedding where we discussed every detail from ceremony prelude, procession, recession, reception entrance song, must plays, should plays, don't plays, first dance, parent dances, ect. After this meeting I was wondering how our wedding night was going to go as we requested songs from all sorts of genres and eras of music. Let me tell you, it was absolutely incredible. The day of the wedding, the process was seamless, Jason met with the officiant to mic him up, as well as myself (the groom), to mic me up. Everything went off without a hitch, everything was perfectly timed, and the reception was unreal. I couldn't believe how he was able to play everything we requested, from different genres, different eras, and made it all flow so well. There was never a lull in the music, the dancefloor was packed the whole night, and Jason was able to assess the crowd/tempo and mix songs accordingly. I now completely understand why everyone I spoke with had such high praise for him. He was professional, easy to work with, responsive, and made us feel confident the whole time. Finally, he is absolutely worth the money. I will let you check out his website, but I would have paid more for his performance than what he charged, his pricing is 100% reasonable. Like I said, if you have the opportunity to book with Dawson Entertainment, do it.

ed and had a great time on the dance floor, so it was an easy decision to go with Dawson Entertainment. We provided some songs we wanted played and a reception playlist and Jason turned it into magic! All night long guests were coming up to us saying that he was the best DJ they had heard and did not miss on a single song. He also checked in through the night to make sure we knew what was coming up. He even surprised us with an extra song at the end of the night as a callback to the maid of honor speech. Thanks to Jason, we had the dance party of our dreams. We also used Dawson Entertainment for lighting which was an easy and straight forward process. We shared the lighting with another couple getting married at the venue the day before which allowed us to save money.

sponsive throughout the entire planning process, always available to answer questions and provide guidance. He took the time to listen to our preferences while also offering his own expertise and suggestions, which we truly appreciated. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. The energy was high from start to finish, and the dance floor was packed all night long. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had, and so many people commented that we never seemed to leave the dance floor ourselves! Jason did an incredible job mixing a variety of music genres to keep guests of all ages and tastes dancing all night. The evening exceeded all of our expectations. We had the best time and honestly didn't want it to end. If you're looking for a DJ who is professional, organized, talented, and knows how to keep the party going, Jason is the one. We highly recommend him!

process.  They never attempted to upsell us on any packages or extras, demonstrating their honesty and genuine desire to ensure your wedding day is exactly what you want! Angela was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions promptly, particularly when we had a few inquiries about the layout of the Photo Booth pictures. (Which turned out amazing!!)  Jake, our DJ, was an absolute delight. He was fantastic during our intake call and throughout the entire process! His ability to keep everyone on the dance floor from the very beginning to the end speaks volumes about his exceptional DJ skills!! Multiple wedding guests have already expressed their love for the wedding, particularly praising the DJ and the impressive selection of songs he played.  Dawson entertainment also gifted us a sweet gift to remember our first dance. Which was incredibly thoughtful, once again truly shows how genuine & thoughtful Jason and his team are!!

very wide range of ages for guests and Jason kept them engaged and dancing! The ceremony and dinner went without so much as a hiccup and exactly as we had planned. The audio was phenomenal and he was consistently flexible with the needs of the party! He was just happy to be there. We also had their mirror photo booth which was an absolute HIT with the guests and turned out incredible. If you're on the fence, Dawson Entertainment is a must! Ren and Matt, June 2026

e and organized, went over with us what we wanted the vibes to be and provided a ton of great playlists to help us pick out songs. Our actual wedding ended up being rainy which wasn’t ideal, but Jason kept everyone dancing the entire night! We had many people coming up to us saying how great the music was. It was exactly the vibe we were going for, and we’re so thankful to Jason for bringing the best energy! Our only regret was not doing the Photo Booth, if you’re debating it definitely add it!

oor the whole time. We also added on the Photo Booth option and it was so nice! We got a take away of a photo album with each photo so it’s like we didn’t miss a thing! We highly recommend both Dawson entertainment with their Photo Booth!

ing process smooth and stress-free. On our wedding day, he brought such an infectious energy to the reception—his attention to detail in reading the room and playing exactly what our guests wanted to hear kept everyone dancing and smiling. He captured the joy and celebration of the day in a way that felt genuine and special. We were blown away by how he made our reception feel like a true party, not just background music. We can't recommend him highly enough to couples looking for a DJ that cares about making their day unforgettable.

thing I truly remember from that night. He had everyone dancing all evening, read the crowd perfectly, and delivered an unforgettable experience. I made a mental note right then. When we got engaged, Dawson’s Entertainment was one of the very first vendors we contacted. We specifically requested DJ JD, and luckily, he was available for our date. From our initial meeting, we knew it was a match made in heaven. Beyond being one of the best DJs in New England, Jason is incredibly professional, organized, and most importantly..down to earth. He was easy to talk to, genuinely excited about our vision, and clearly passionate about what he does, which made the experience even more special. In the months leading up to our wedding, every idea we had was thoughtfully incorporated. We chose music that truly represented us and requested custom loops for the ceremony, which he executed perfectly. Jason was such a joy to work with from start to finish. On our wedding day, Tom and I were constantly stopped by guests complimenting the DJ. From the prelude and ceremony music, to cocktail hour, dinner, and the open dance floor..he absolutely nailed every moment. He also set up backlighting in our reception space, which was stunning. During dinner, it created the elegant atmosphere we were hoping for, and once dancing began, the lights slowly faded into different colors. It was phenomenal. The best part of the night was the dancing. The floor was packed the entire time. I only left once to change. I have never danced so much in my life. Even now, we’re still receiving messages about Jason’s set. He worked closely with us on the playlist, and although we were unsure about our final song choice, he gave us the confidence to trust it and it turned out to be the perfect ending to the night. It’s a memory I will cherish forever. He captured the moment too which meant the world to us.  Jason truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we will  forever recommend him

such a great DJ and I felt like I could relax knowing he was turning the tables. Dawson has a stellar reputation for a reason and they will guarantee your wedding is everything you want it to be. I can't recommend Dawson and Donny enough, they also gifted us a wedding present of our song's lyrics and it was just so thoughtful.

ee. Jason completely understood our vibe and the music was spot on all night long and the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. We received so many compliments from our guests saying it was one of the best wedding DJs they’ve ever experienced. Hiring Dawson Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for an unforgettable celebration.

ave our date available. I am beyond grateful that the chips in place fell the way that they did.  From our first conference call with Jason to the wedding day itself, you could tell how much passion Jason and his team has for his craft and business. He was courteous, professional, and kind throughout each interaction. Jason started out asking us pointed questions about our taste in music and what songs we have enjoyed the most on past wedding dance floors (we have been to a LOT of weddings.) We immediately loved his energy and knew that we were going with the right guy. After the initial interaction about a year ahead of the wedding date, I had to reach out to Jason’s team member, Angela, to check in on a few of my questions. Angela was also a star player - she was quick to respond and extremely friendly. Most importantly, Jason is extremely talented to boot. I had created pretty ambitious playlists for our wedding inspiration - between the cocktail hour, the dinner, and the dance floor, I thought that Jason was going to think that I was crazy. But, he didn’t even bat an eye and assured me that it was helpful. Not only that, he somehow weaved each and every request into the night. These playlists were over the amount of time that our wedding actually spanned across and Jason made it work. His transitions were great, his emceeing was awesome, and he lifted the weight out of our shoulders to make sure that our guests were having a good time. Finally, the photo booth!!! Such attention to detail and so many options to choose from. Our guests were living for this attraction and LOVED that we upgraded to 4x6 photos. The Photo Booth attendant was also extremely diligent about creating a take-home guest book for us to look through - such a highlight the day after the wedding. The downloadable copies are also a huge plus.  I am an extremely picky critic when it comes to music, yet I cannot recommend Dawson Entertainment enough. Thank you again to Jason and the entire team at Dawson Entertainment. This is a 20/10 vendor to book.

till talking about how great our DJ was, the dancefloor was packed all night. Thank you, Jason, Angela and team for making our night memorable for not just us but our guests as well!

d totally in tune with the vibe we wanted. Highly recommend!

ur wedding day. He wasn't just a DJ; he was the complete entertainment package and the energy engine that kept our celebration running smoothly from start to finish. We cannot recommend him highly enough! From the initial planning stages to the last song of the reception, Jason did a truly phenomenal job. He expertly handled the music for our Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, creating the perfect atmosphere and ensuring seamless transitions. When the reception began, Jason stepped up as an incredible MC, keeping the schedule flowing and the mood high. But what truly sets Dawson Entertainment apart is the comprehensive range of premium services they offer. Our venue was completely transformed by the extra features Jason brought: Stunning Flower Wall: Provided a beautiful backdrop for photos. Fun Photo Booth: Our guests absolutely loved this interactive addition. Atmospheric Up Lighting: Changed the entire feel of the room. High-Energy Club Lighting & CO2 Cannon: These elements turned the dance floor into a real party, giving it that unforgettable club vibe! Beyond the exceptional equipment, Jason delivered a perfectly curated musical experience. We had a unique request for Egyptian music for a special belly dancer performance, and Jason executed it flawlessly. He continued to weave in Egyptian music throughout the night, perfectly blending it with modern hits to keep everyone—from the younger crowd to our older family members—on the dance floor. If you are looking for a DJ who is professional, organized, an excellent entertainer, and can provide all the premium extras to make your wedding truly spectacular, look no further than Jason Dawson and Dawson Entertainment! He is worth every penny.

made the entire process easy, was incredibly organized, and patiently answered every question we had. About a week before the wedding, we changed our minds and decided we wanted to do a grand entrance. We told Jason our vision, and he delivered something even better than what we could have imagined! He was able to mix customized versions of the songs for our grand entrance and the father-bride dance based on our favorite parts and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. The dance floor stayed packed all night! Jason perfectly read the room and matched the energy even with only a short list of “must play” songs - he dialed in the vibe from the very start! Our guests even told us they couldn’t leave the dance floor because they were worried they would miss something! We genuinely can’t say enough good things about having Jason as our DJ. If you’re considering him for your event, do it. We’d recommend him without hesitation! Thank you Jason for an unforgettable night!

d the audio for our wedding ceremony perfectly, with many guests noting that we sounded as clear as if we were standing right next to them. He chose songs and mixed throughout the reception by reading the room incredibly and set us up to have a fantastic and fun night without being obtrusive. Many guests commented that he was the best wedding DJ they had heard. We couldn't recommend Dawson more, it was one of the best decisions we made!

good time. We wanted a high energy, dance filled wedding and we were confident he was the guy to do it. Even still, we could not have imagined how incredible he was going to be! We had so many guests tell us he was the best wedding DJ they've ever heard, and we couldn't agree more. Our music taste was all over the board and he flawlessly made it work - from punk rock to Taylor Swift to EDM. He even created a custom mashup for our final song, per our request, and shared the mp3 with us for a keepsake. Our outdoor ceremony was very windy and the sound was still crystal clear. From start to finish, Dawson Entertainment knocked it out of the park!

ire evening. He had our guests up on the dance floor virtually the whole night, appealing to people of all ages. The Dawson team also added a few special touches to our wedding that meant a lot to us. His lighting design of Saltwater Farm Vineyard was also great. We could not recommend working with Jason and the team at Dawson Entertainment enough!

out our event and vision, and perfectly executing the sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as reception lighting. Jason is so talented - he was able to seamlessly mix the wedding "classics" with the Hindi/Bollywood repertoire we requested to accommodate the backgrounds of our guests, keeping everyone engaged and glued to the dance floor the entire night. We were really impressed and couldn't be happier with how our celebration went. Everything was perfect, and we highly recommend working with Dawson Entertainment!

ke sure the music was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I would recommend Dawson Entertainment to anybody who cares about having great music at their wedding.

ng process. He was fully engaged and committed to making our visions come to life. The DJ planner we were asked to fill out was extremely thorough and covered every little detail for the entire ceremony & reception which lead to the music throughout the night bring seamless and exactly what we were hoping for. Jason’s MCing and announcing was top notch and he had the dance floor packed all night. We’ve gotten so much positive feedback from guests and we will forever be recommending Dawson Entertainment to everyone. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ experience!

from start to finish. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great he was and how much fun they had. Plus, the photobooth was a total hit — everyone loved it. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ experience!

e pre wedding phone calls and coordination to keeping the dance floor ALIVE ✨ all night long! We didn’t want to go home! He beautifully mixed different cultures together (I’m half Indian and my husband is Puerto Rican) so everyone was dancing their butts off! Thank you so much Dawson Entertainment and TJ ❤️

us. He took the time to understand our vision and create the kind of energy we wanted at different moments. The result was seamless. Every transition felt natural, and the entire night carried the perfect balance of upbeat, heartfelt and celebratory. He read the room beautifully, keeping the dance floor full while also creating the perfect atmosphere during cocktail hour and dinner. Several guests told us how great the DJ was and by the last song the entire dance floor was cheering for an encore. Something I never witnessed at a wedding before.  Jason truly elevated the entire experience of our wedding and helped make our vision become a reality. We couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a DJ who is not only talented, but genuinely cares about making your day unforgettable.

nd throughout the whole process. Would absolutely recommend Dawson Entertainment for your special event!

he reception ran very smoothly and exactly how we had envisioned. His transitions from song to song and all of his announcements were A+. I myself dj weddings for a living and we had tons of other DJs in the room and we were all very impressed with Jason. If professional wedding djs seek out Jason to Dj their wedding - you should absolutely do it as well and you will not regret it. Jason is a real DJ. Not one of these 'jukebox djs' that just sit back and play the same 30 songs at every event. He reads the room and does a fantastic job keeping everyone out there, along with incorporating some of our own personal favorite songs. Thanks again JD for being such an important part of our wedding day. It really was the best day of our lives and we wish we could relive this night all over again!

y professional, kind, organized, responsive and listened to what we wanted as a couple for our wedding night. Can’t say enough good things from start to finish. ixing in our requests with songs that got everyone out of their seats. Beyond the music, TJ was professional, fun, and such a great presence to have throughout the day/night. He handled announcements seamlessly and kept the timeline flowing without ever feeling rushed. So many of our guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they’ve been to, and we know a huge part of that was thanks to him. If you want a DJ who truly knows how to make a wedding unforgettable, TJ is the one!
