Daylily Floral Cascade

I had very clear ideas of what I hoped my wedding flowers might look like and Mary worked with me to achieve my vision. The final product was above and beyond my expectations though--it was so beautiful. Prior to the wedding, I already believed Daylily is the best place for flowers in Grand Rapids. They only work with really high quality flowers--I had hundreds of peonies in my arrangements, and I did not see a single bruised petal. I appreciate their attention to detail. Mary was really helpful throughout the process. She provided helpful feedback so I would know what was, and was not, possible. More than anything, I appreciate how closely she listened my ideas--it was clear to me at the wedding that she incorporated my feedback, images, and suggestions into the designs for our centerpieces--the final product felt unique and like a collaboration. My experience with Daylily was completely wonderful--I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the area. I should also note that they also make beautiful floral crowns!

On time and fantastic quality made the evening with beautiful orchids and grasses from Daylily Floral. The staff were extremely helpful and creative. We will be using Daylily Floral again.

Mary at Daylily was very nice. I had heard very good things about her. However, working with her and the product she delivered was not up to my expectations. I met with her twice and spoke with her several times over the phone and every time we interacted it was as if we had never spoken before. I had to re-explain everything I wanted every time and she quoted me a different (usually higher) price every time. Just when I thought I had everything nailed down, she calls me with the final payment and it's over $300 more than what I had originally been quoted, which was not good for my budget. She didn't provide invoices or anything written that documented our "contract." She tried asking for my deposit twice, luckily she believed that I had already paid it. The day before my wedding she called me asking about the unity candle piece. She had come to the conclusion that we had agreed not to do it, which was never the case. Luckily I was able to get a hold of her or else I would not have had it at my wedding. It was pretty, but it wasn't what she had originally told me it would be. The next day on my wedding, I was underwhelmed by the bouquets. My flowers and the bridesmaid flowers started wilting very quickly and after the ceremony my orchids kept falling out of my bouquet. Fortunately, it didn't bother me the day of, but I did hear comments from my girls that I should get my money back. I didn't realize it until after the wedding, but the flowers were definitely not worth the price I paid.

Bridesmaid bouquets were wilting by the time the girls headed down the aisle. We were extremely upset that the florist took our two large altar/reception arrangements. We were planning on using these for a brunch the next day. Very unprofessional and unethical. We also encountered inaccurate billing on itemized statements, quotes not consistent with value of flowers used in final product. Very dissatisfied with owners ability to be forthright.
