I had the extreme pleasure of working alongside Vanessa at a wedding this Summer at Glen Echo Park. I was first impressed with how well she planned and conducted the walk-through a month prior to the wedding, leaving no questions unanswered and no details to chance. Everyone felt confident and assured of the timeline for the day.
On the big day, I was further amazed at how she managed every facet of the operation with just the right amount of influence. When it came to planning my wedding, I selected all the vendors but wanted someone to execute my vision on the days of my events so I could enjoy and my parents/family could focus on hosting. I couldn't have thought of a better person that Vanessa to do the job! She created a timeline that helped the events run smoothly, contacted all my vendors before and followed up after, decorated the pedicab I entered on, and set up the donut wall (with name plates), in between making sure the food and halls were set up as discussed. In the past, she and I worked together on many events and I knew she had the personality and organization skills to ensure my ceremony and reception for 250 went off without a hitch. I also knew that if something didn’t go as planned (which often happens), she’d fix it. And that is exactly what happened at my reception when we started to run low on beer. My husband and I selected great beer which the guests loved – a little too much! So when Vanessa realized we were running low, she did what she had to do to get more beer (that we like!). Meanwhile, I didn’t have a care in the world while I sat back and enjoyed my reception!
