Dayve Huckett

We got married at the Mountain Top in September, and had met Dayve at our tasting back in early 2020 (we postponed our wedding due to COVID, and Dayve was so flexible through that process!). He was playing guitar during the tasting event, and we all loved his music – my dad and father-in-law especially. He was so friendly in person, and came so highly recommended by our planner, that it was an easy decision to hire him! Dayve and violinist Emily Sunderman played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They learned a few songs for the ceremony, and had a great mix of oldies on rotation during cocktails. Our guests loved them, and I thought it was nice to have a mix of songs throughout the day (since our band played more top 40)! Dayve was communicative and helpful during the planning process, and very easy to work with. He has also played at the Mountain Top so frequently that he's very familiar with the venue and staff, and knows exactly what to do and where to go. He and Emily are both so talented – I would definitely recommend hiring them for your wedding!

Dayve is wonderful! He was quick to respond to every message, happy to chat on the phone, happy to meet in person (when I was in the area). He made the entire process so easy. Dayve created such a beautiful environment for my ceremony and cocktail hour. My family loved him too! Highly recommend.

Dayve was exceptional! He did a great job connecting with us ahead of time to discuss schedule, budget and songs. He offered to extend his time to play to cover our seated dinner. He went above and beyond for our wedding. His musical ability and song choice is wonderful, all of our guest raved about the music. I would hire Dayve again for any event!

Dayve did a fantastic job with our ceremony music (acoustic guitar) at Stratton Mountain! Despite it being a bit chilly at the summit, Dayve was still able to play all of our requests and he even learned our first dance song! We appreciated his flexibility during these difficult times. We would definitely recommend Dayve to anyone looking for a ceremony musician in the VT area.

We hired Dayve Huckett (acoustic guitar) and a fellow bass player to play live tunes for our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Grafton Inn. Dayve was wonderful to work with leading up to our wedding and was very familiar with the venue, which helped a lot. He arrived on time to set up and worked with our officiant to make sure she was properly set up for the ceremony. The duo played beautiful music throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour and guests had nothing but great things to say. Dayve and his team are extremely talented and we hope to work with them again in the future! I would highly recommend booking Dayve for your wedding weekend!

We met Dayve at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort’s menu tasting and knew immediately we needed him for our wedding! We hired him to play our pre-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour music and we are so incredibly glad he did! He has a wonderful repertoire of songs that fit our tastes perfectly, and he was even more than willing to learn my husband and I’s favorite song (that was not on the list) and played it as I walked down the aisle. He is extremely talented, professional, kind, and accommodating, and he made our ceremony absolutely beautiful. The laid-back vibe of the cocktail hour music was exactly what we were hoping for and set the tone for fantastic conversation. Dave played acoustic guitar for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in June and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped my fiancé and I decide what songs we wanted for the ceremony and even learned a new song for our recessional. Additionally he covered off on all the little details during the planning process and took it upon himself to coordinate with our wedding planner & officiant. Dayve played at our wedding at Mountain Top Inn in August of last year. It was a delight to have Dayve perform during our ceremony and cocktail hour. He knew all the songs we wanted (processional was Falling Slowly, bride entrance was a slower version of Here Comes the Sun, and recessional was All You Need is Love). He had all his own equipment and is very easy going (great to work with!) I was sad when the cocktail hour was over - I wanted to listen more! Highly recommend Dayve.

Dayve played our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was great! He played a good mix of music, and personalized the song list to what we wanted. He is very kind and worked well with our limited budget.
