lo area, and Dave made it a point to come out there to meet with us, despite everyone’s busy schedules. He made sure we had everything we wanted (and didn’t want) at our wedding, and went out of his way to make sure we were having a good time. I will recommend him to everyone!!! to originally post a review in the hopes that this dj DC Entertainment would make this right, however I have just ended up being more and more disappointed. When I first met with David M Ells it was February before the wedding and he was wonderful, it was not until we specifically asked if he would be our dj that he shared he would not. I then asked if I could meet the dj that would be ours and after telling us he usually does not do that he made the exception. We met with Rodney and decided to move forward with their company. At that point David told me we would hear from Rodney at the beginning of July to go over everything. At the beginning of July I did not hear from him, so I contacted David, he assured me I would hear by the 4th. I reached out to David again on the 26th when I still had not heard from him, finally Rodney reached out to me. We met I gave him the songs and we went our separate ways. The DAY BEFORE the wedding I got an email from Rodney that he lost all of our songs I gave him and emailed him and asked me to send it again, I did so. Skip to the day of the wedding and he told me he would be set up inside and outside, this was not the case he just played the music loud from inside, he stopped the processional song early. Then during my first dance the song cut short because he had not downloaded it but rather found it on YouTube! He later tried to tell the owner David that I changed MY FIRST DANCE song the day of the wedding (all brides out there know this is a song you plan for months and months before the wedding. Then during the mother son song (which he again did not download and played from YouTube) skipped so bad he had to shut it off and pick a different song. My husband spent so much time picking the perfect song for his mother this was a HUGE disappointment! We moved on to dinner which he started announcing the tables and then once he got his food he decided to stop so one of my bridesmaids had to get up to continue to get tables their food! Finally we get to the dancing which was horrible! He told us that his biggest strength was his ability to read crowds however this was so bad we had guests going up to him asking if they could help him to make HIM look better! After the night ended David sent me a Facebook message asking how everything went. I told him everything and how disappointed we were at the moments we will never get back. His solution was to offer me a free party in a year but only on a Friday or Sunday. I declined! After speaking to my guests and having VENDORS reach out to me about how awful this was i decided to ask for a full refund (which is what another professional recommended I do). This is where things got really ugly! During the past several months I have been called a liar (even though I have video proof), I have been told I’m ridiculous, I was told I would be given a FULL refund but the amount he told me he was giving was $200 less than I paid and when I questioned it he told me I was unbelievable and he was giving me $800 or nothing since I shouldn’t even get that. At this point he already had given me $400 back (but when I tried to cash the first one it bounced and he told me it was my fault for waiting to long). I told him to forget the other $400 because at this point it is more important to me for people to see this AWFUL company for what it is. Luckily when he asked to talk on the phone I declined so that I could have all of the conversations saved, so I am happy to share these with anyone interested! Also I asked him to meet up to talk about this and he declined as to not “waste more time”. At this point it is not about the money I want brides to beware because no one should have to deal with this from a “professional”. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
