She kept us on track with timelines and was someone we could always rely on for a helpful and honest opinion. Her Planning Pod website was a valuable tool and her coordination/relationships with vendors was exceptional. Tia led our rehearsal dinner to where we went into the day of the wedding feeling fully prepared. The day of the wedding, Tia made everything run smoothly behind the scenes, including decorating, maintaining timeline, handing out our tips to vendors, and so much more. She really helped this type A bride remain calm throughout the day to enjoy every moment. We only have amazing experiences to share and cannot recommend this venue and Tia's services enough for your wedding!

Tia!!! We met Tia at DC Estates Winery when checking out venues and found out she was included in the package. We had no idea on how to plan a wedding and we both have fast pace careers that limited our time. Tia was the absolute best thing to have ever happened to us. Our first meeting left us amazed as she genuinely wanted to get to know us and find out what’s important to us. From there she kept us on track with goals and timelines, kept the process fun and stress level extremely low. We looked forward to our planning meetings, which always left us heading home smiling and excited for our day. Never in a million years did we think planning a wedding could be so much fun. By the time our day came, EVERYTHING was perfect, absolutely blown away with how it turned out and the key to this was Tia. She expertly put the plan into motion and kept everything on time. Even when a brief rain shower appeared mid ceremony, out of no where she pulls out umbrella’s to save the day. I work in the fire service and leadership is key in our field. I have never seen anyone lead as well or effective as she does, not only with her staff but clients as well. Tia is no longer known to us as our wedding planner, she is a friend and we are forever great full to have had her on our team for our big day!!! Tia was there with us every step of the way in planning our wedding day from giving recommendations on vendors, her expertise on timeline and events, and her attention to detail when the day finally came. Tia made our wedding the huge success it was and anyone will be lucky to have her plan their wedding! She met with us multiple times in person/over zoom and was available over phone/email to brainstorm ideas and helped bring our perfect wedding day into fruition. She oversaw the entire wedding day to make sure it ran smoothly, that everyone knew where they were supposed to be, and that the decorations looked just like they did as we were brainstorming. Tia is an angel and was the most wonderful part of our wedding. Her experience is priceless. We got married during the pandemic and we had to reschedule our wedding. The venue allowed us to reschedule our date to our next available choice without a problem and without change fees or any hassle. The outdoor ceremony area is gorgeous and the indoor reception building is private, spacious, and quite neutral so that it will complement any decorations brought in. The winery itself is gorgeous and lended to many great photo opportunities. There is also a spacious bridal suite on site for getting ready. Finally, the wine here is amazing! Having a private winery provide their wine for the reception was the finishing touch on our perfect wedding. We had innumerable compliments on the venue and the wine and we've had guests already return to the winery for drinks after our wedding even though we live far away! We are also excited to go back and visit on anniversaries or other special occasions! Look no further than the DC winery for your perfect wedding. We are so happy we chose to have our wedding here, the winery was gorgeous and Tia's help made our day run absolutely flawlessly.

But truly the best part of having your wedding at DC Estate Winery is Tia Lasswell. Throughout the last 3 years she has really become a part of our family! She makes the whole planning process seamless. photos in the vineyard. The reception space is so beautiful on its own, that I felt very little pressure to go over the top with decorations (which never hurts to save a little money!). I loved the natural lighting with the glass walls, and it was truly magical to see the winery background for our reception from the comfort of indoors. I could not have asked for a better day. And on top of it all, Tia, the venue's wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She helped us cover all the details, she was so responsive (especially when the world was crazy this past year!). Some of my friends asked me if that would have made it feel different, or lessen my excitement, which were totally valid questions. They work with the best vendors, however Tia also coordinated with any vendors I brought in to make our day special. As we approached the wedding day, she ensured every vendor and item was ready for the day. On the day of our wedding, she took care of everything. She made sure each of us were in the right spot, ready to go (down to my personal accessories, make-up on point, and each hair in place), and every minute of the day went off without a hitch. This by far was worth the expense of the location fee, to have an exceptional wedding planner and day of coordinator. I can't recommend this location and staff enough. Everything was perfect and we would do it again in a heart beat!

I knew I didn't want the typical banquet hall setting because of the usual lack of windows, and the winery was exactly the opposite and everything we were looking for in venue! While the venue is amazing, Tia is a dream come true! You'll be hard pressed to find a better wedding coordinator (on staff at DC Estate Winery) than her! She truly made our day perfect! For all of you brides out there that like to have everything, down to the minute, planned out ahead of time in addition to double and triple checking everything, Tia is the perfect person to help you plan your wedding at the winery! Tia was always on top of everything, whether it was helping us find vendors, staying on track and meeting the major milestone planning task (she has an extensive and incredibly helpful checklist of her own!), coordinating everything with our vendors, and even just checking in to see if there was anything more she could help with! I can't tell you the number of time I contacted our vendors to provide them with day of updates, as we were working through them with Tia, only to have the vendor inform me that Tia had already gotten them the information they needed! And then the day of when I was trying to make sure everything was set up and ready (because that's the type of person I am, always double and triple checking everything), Tia (politely) pushed me into the bridal suite to spend the time with my bridesmaid while she took care of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! You cannot find a better place to have your wedding!

Tia, DC Estate Winery's onsite wedding coordinator, exceeded our expectations for assisting us through the process of planning a wedding. From the beginning, she explained things so thoroughly while adding helpful tips that she has learned throughout her career to help make the process easier. We met multiple times throughout the year and had a final meeting two weeks before the wedding; not to mention, she was always very responsive by email and text. She also assured us that we would never know if something went wrong on our big day because we would not need any added stress. With that being said, to my knowledge, nothing ever went wrong on our day, because it seemed to be amazingly perfect. Another great thing about working with Tia, is that she knows most of the local vendors that she would be working with the day of your special event. Many of our vendors spoke highly of Tia and enjoyed working with her and knew that everything would be handled in the best manner. Decorating doesn't have to be extravagant. With the vineyard visible from the pavilion's windows, it already provides a rustic setting, so touches of greenery and baby's breath was all we wanted to keep that vibe. The ceremony was held outside near a stone arch with a pond and water fountain behind it. It provided a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos. Also, at the start of the walkway to the "alter" are two wine barrels, one on each side of the path, and also one at the "alter." This added to the rustic vineyard feel that we were after. The wine barrel at the "alter" was great for our wine ceremony, which DC provided a little bit of white wine and a little bit of red wine to be used for the ceremony. Our wedding guests have continued to tell us what an amazing time they had at the wedding. From the food from one of DC Estate's exclusive caterers to the desserts to the DJ, the guests thought the venue was perfect in every way. DC Estate Winery (and Tia) will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is amazing to have this gem so close to home to continue to go there for years to come.

Driving up, you feel like you just teleported to Tuscany. It is truly gorgeous, but if you look at any photos, you'll see that. The true gem of DC Estate weddings is Tia Lasswell of Capstone Occasions. Tia is one of the most talented people I've ever met. As an entrepreneur still finding my exact passion, Tia gave me hope that everyone was made for a specific purpose. Hers is wedding planning / coordinating. She is the most organized, type-A person I've ever met. She keeps track of every detail (no matter how minute it might seem) to make sure your day goes flawlessly. From the moment we booked DC Estate for our venue in our 2-year engagement, she scheduled meetings with us to help us along the way. She helped us remember important steps (such as getting our marriage license) and was there for general support. She even sent us a Christmas card, which was awesome to show how much she cares. On the day of our wedding, rather than being the type-A, anxious, worrier bride that I would've been anywhere else, I was calm and trusted Tia 100% to make our day go smoothly. From the second we got there until the second we left, the day went PERFECTLY. She set up our decor exactly how I would've wanted... In fact, better than I wanted. When I forgot my bouquet right before walking down the aisle, she took off her shoes to run to meet her assistant who was grabbing them from the bridal suite. She brought us appetizers and wine during family photos so we could partake in the festivities too! She bustled my dress... twice! She brought calm, confident energy to our entire wedding planning process including the big day. If something went wrong, we didn't know about it. I can honestly say that I believe every bride needs a Tia. She made our wedding dreams come true. When we look back on our big day, there isn't a single moment we would change. It was absolutely perfect and a big part of that was because of her. We will forever be grateful for her and her talents. There was a break in the rain and we were able to get photos outside, get married outside, all before a lot of rain came.
