DC Firehouse 4

DC Firehouse 4 is a historic wedding and event venue located in Washington, D.C.. Situated in D.C.’s hip Shaw neighborhood, this unique firehouse was built in 1884. It housed the first fully African American fire company in the area, and was renovated in 2017. DC Firehouse 4 combines exposed architectural beauty with historical photography, and modern amenities. Facilities and Capacity This venue is ideal for groups 50 and under but can accommodate up to 100 at this one-of-a-kind venue. The original firehouse now serves as a penthouse, and boasts 2,000 square feet. You can host your ceremony in the spacious garage. This blank canvas of a space can easily be decorated as you see fit. It boasts exposed brick walls, and a driveway for your grand entrance and/or exit. For your reception, you can move into their three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse suite. There’s a huge gas fireplace, exposed wooden beams throughout, an original firepole. Historical photographs are displayed everywhere, allowing your guests plenty to look at before or after dinner. Services Offered This unique venue offers rooms for you and your wedding party to start your day in. This allows the morning of your wedding to be relaxed and stress-free. There’s a kitchen, that the caterer of your choice can use, as well as on-site parking for one to two cars. Free WiFi is included, along with both air-conditioning and heating. Accommodation This three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. Each bedroom features a queen bed, while the second bedroom includes a toddler bed, and the third bedroom includes two single beds. There’s also a sofa bed and a couch in the common area. You and your loved ones will have access to their TV, washer and dryer, bath essentials, dishwasher, and dishes and silverware.
