We were very happy to have Judge Dietrich officiate our wedding. We first met him almost a year before our wedding, and we were immediately put at ease that he could personalize our ceremony to make it fit our personalities and the unique setting (outdoors in Lake Placid). His long experience also made us comfortable that he could be in charge of all of the logistics so we wouldn't have to worry about that part. Judge Dietrich was very warm and enjoyable to work with, he seemed interested in our story, was fun to spend time with, and gave a perfect relaxed vibe that helped keep everyone's stress levels low throughout the process. He was also very professional and walked us through all of the legal steps in addition to the actual ceremony. We also appreciated how responsive he was via email and phone, since we were planning from out of town. We highly recommend Judge Dietrich as a wedding officiant in Lake Placid!

Judge Dietrich was the first officiant we met and we were sold. He invited us into his home for a sit down, told us all the things he does - he writes his own ceremonies with his experience of being married for 35 years, loves to do weddings and he's GOOD! He sent us a few ceremony versions and we took pieces from each and created our own. He helped us tweak the order of things, incorporate some natural elements and readings, then he came to the rehearsal and went through everything with us and went through the cermeony and it was such a breeze. He was lighthearted, funny and helped us get through our very heartfelt and tear filled vows and ring exchange. He was such a warm person... we didn't want to end up with a staunch judge who had no feeling, but we aren't religious so we didn't want to have a ceremony that was in that direction - he was the perfect mix. I'd recommend him to anyone who is getting married in the north country!
