Deanna was absolutely amazing!! She is so sweet and was so easy to work with! She had everything so organized and had notes about specific things I liked and didn't like for our photos and really did a great job taking those into account on our big day! My hair and makeup ended up running late so we were behind schedule; Deanna was so calm, never rushed us or even mentioned that we were behind. Because she makes a list of all the family pictures to get and structures it where the bride moves as little as possible (to avoid having to fix the dress 100 times), we flew through family portraits! From sending us a little treat when we booked her to sending us a heart-shaped flash drive with all our pictures, she is always thoughtful and intentional! We will definitely be working with her again for more life events! I can't recommend her enough!

We worked with Deanna and A Day to Adore for our wedding this past September, and she was incredible throughout the whole process. We were planning a Kansas City wedding while living in Virginia, and she made it a piece of cake with help in setting up day-of timelines, suggestions for details, and collaboration with other vendors when needed. We hired her to do our invitations and programs as well, and she took our unique ideas and really made them come to life. She was fantastic the day-of, making everything run smoothly without needing us to lift a finger. She managed to fly through all of the photos we wanted when we got behind without making it feel stressful to us at all. Every time I was posing for a picture with someone that night, she seemed to be there capturing the picture too! All of our pictures were incredible, and she was so great to work with throughout that whole day. We had a great experience, and I would highly recommend A Day to Adore!!

Deanna was so amazing to work with! She is patient and flexible, but still was able to take charge and tell us where we needed to be in order to get the pictures we wanted. She took stunning photos both for our engagement and wedding. To make things simple we also worked with Deanna to create our Save the Dates and wedding invites. She did a great job on both. I changed my mind and went back and forth SO many times and she was patient and helpful throughout the whole thing. She is a saint! I cannot say enough great things about Deanna! I have loved her photography style and admired her portfolio for years and knew she would be my wedding photographer if the day ever came. From the moment we first contacted Deanna, early in our engagement, she was responsive and communicative. She kept in touch throughout the year leading up to the wedding, just to check in and make sure there wasn’t anything she could help us with. I wasn’t planning on doing engagement photos, but she includes an engagement session with all of her wedding packages, which provided a great opportunity for us to get to know one another... and of course, I couldn’t imagine not having those pictures once it was all said and done. On our wedding day, Deanna was so helpful with getting people organized, directing our bus driver to our photo-op locations, and keeping us on schedule. Our wedding party was so impressed that she knew each of them by name and everyone thought she was such a delight. She made us feel at ease in front of the camera, and we were completely comfortable allowing her into the intimate moments of the day. To top it all off, she had a dozen edited photos ready to share with us by noon the next day! We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with A Day to Adore!

Deanna was absolutely amazing to work with and really took the time to understand us as a couple! Her photography captured each and every moment we dreamed of on our wedding day. She goes to extreme measures like laying on her back in a street shooting a picture of the bride and groom and their wedding party because she had the perfect vision for that picture, and it turns out it is one of our favorites. Deanna was more than we could have asked for when it came to a photographer! From helping us with our wedding day timeline, to making our Save the Dates and envelopes, she could do it all! She exceeded our expectations on our engagement pictures and we cannot wait to see our wedding pictures. We still are receiving compliments about our engagement photographs to this day and we had them done over a year ago! Deanna was very accommodating and even took engagement pictures of us with our crazy Goldendoodle (which is a hard task to do) and they turned out amazing! She will do whatever it takes to get the perfect angle, from climbing on chairs to getting on the floor! Deanna is super sweet and personable and is professional at the same time! She helped us stick to our timeline on wedding day and was very timely when it came to getting family portraits (including lots of family members) done the day of the wedding. She also had a second photographer, which was great! If I had any questions about anything wedding related, I knew I could ask her without hesitation! Our wedding day would not have been the same without her and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Deanna was the hero of our wedding day! Our photographer had canceled last minute and Deanna dropped her plans to save the day! We could not have asked for a better photographer. The photos were absolutely beautiful!

Two words to describe A Day to Adore Photography: Trustworthy and perfect. Deanna is an absolutely amazing photographer and invitation creator. Our wedding photos are gorgeous- not only do we love them but we have received so many compliments- still receiving them 10 months later! Deanna is real easy to work with and responds promptly via email or text. She is so creative, I told her I wanted my photos to be "pretty and classic, with a touch of creative" and I wanted elegant looking invitations. She completely exceeded my expectations!! She is unbelievably organized for how busy she is. She has an online portal that makes making payments and viewing photos a breeze. Not to mention, it literally took TWO. DAYS. after our wedding to get sneak peaks. and 2 months to get all of our pictures back! My married friends said it took their photographer months to even get a preview! Not only is she an incredible photographer and invitation creator, she can also bustle your wedding gown when no other wedding professional you're paying to help do this can. She also has a second photographer for your day that is very professional and will help where you need it! Deanna is literally one of a kind. Every time I think of my wedding my first though is always how grateful I am that we chose Deanna to be a part of our day. She is wholeheartedly the biggest reason our day was so perfect.

Deanna and her incredible work is just_amazing. And even that is an understatement. She shot both our engagement and wedding photos and we could not be happier! She made both of us feel so comfortable & relaxed so we were able to just be ourselves and have fun--which totally came through in our beautiful photos. Deanna was absolutely perfect for my anxiety-prone self amidst wedding planning as she was always calm, professional, and grounding in the way she kept the focus on the things I vocalized as the most important to me. There are absolutely no words to describe Deanna. She is not only an incredible photographer and invitations/stationary designer, she is the NICEST person you will ever have the pleasure of working with. Deanna has done a few of my friends weddings in the past, and I knew that I wanted her before I ever got engaged. I called her before we even picked a venue or a date, and told her that I wanted her! She met with us on so many occasions prior to the wedding, and was the most professional person I have ever worked with. Not only that, she went above and beyond to make me feel good about our wedding day. When we would talk and I sounded stressed, she offered to help me with things beyond stationary and photos. She offered advice on all aspects when I asked her, and was always willing to do whatever she could to help make our day wonderful. We did our engagement shoot with our dogs, and Deanna was just the sweetest! Our dogs are a little crazy, and she wasn't even phased by it. She did our rehearsal dinner, which I requested last minute, and was incredible. She got all the photos we could have asked for that night, and I got so many compliments on how discrete she was the whole night. The day of, Deanna was there early, her assistant was incredibly sweet, and Deanna was the person to calm all my nerves. She not only loves her job, she genuinely cares about her clients, which showed as she became emotional during gift exchanges and other moments of the day. She even cried when she realized two of her old clients were there! Deanna sent me 24 sneak peaks less than 24 hours after our wedding, and EVERY photo was STUNNING. I cannot tell you the number of compliments we have received on those photos alone, and I cannot wait to see what else she has to share! Deanna went above and beyond to get every shot possible during the day and the sunset. She would come and grab us, anytime she saw a good opportunity. She also did an entire bridal shoot with me as I waited to walk down the aisle, because I was so nervous, and she wanted to help me calm down. It worked and it was a blast! If there was a way to give this woman 100/5 stars, I would. She is absolutely by far the best photographer! Thank you Deanna for not only being a wonderful photographer and for making our incredible invitations and all stationary for the wedding day, but for also becoming such a beautiful part of our wedding day and our lives! We cannot thank you enough!!

My pictures are amazing plus she is the sweetest to work with. First off she texted me the night before to see if I needed anything. Secondly her and her assistant where on time and so professional. Rita ( her assistant)worked with her that day and it was pairing. They worked wonderfully together and with our families. My pictures are amazing. I can't stop looking at them. She also created an amazing book for me so I wouldn't have to do the work myself. I LOVED HER! I will have her shoot anything else I need. You won't find a better photographer in Kansas City

There are not enough amazing things that I can say about Deanna! I found Deanna through a recommendation from a friend who is also a photographer. When my fiancé and I first met with Deanna and saw her work, that was all I needed to see, I knew she was the photographer I wanted to capture our wedding. Prior to our wedding, Deanna was easy to communicate with and was even kind enough to come to a planning meeting between our wedding planners and a few of our vendors. On the wedding day Deanna was great to work with. She had a second photographer with her, which was amazing. We got our wedding pictures back from her in 4 weeks. Our pictures turned out amazing! My husband and I pointed out so many moments that we missed, but Deanna was able to capture. When we started wedding planning and budgeting, I said that photography was the most important to me so I wanted to invest in a good photographer. Deanna was the best choice we could have ever made. Even her work on other weddings just blows me away! Thank you Deanna for giving us these incredible memories to have forever!

Deanna was the first photographer my now husband and I met with. After meeting with her for the first time we cancelled the 3 other meetings we had scheduled with other photographers and put down a deposit with Deanna. In addition to loving her work that she showed us, we immediately connected with her and knew that she was a perfect fit for us! Not only is she an outstanding photographer, but an extremely creative artist as well. She created a beautiful custom watercolor map for the out of town guests attending our wedding and also designed our invitations for us! I cannot say enough amazing things about Deanna! She made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day, just like she was a friend or family. The pictures she got were more than we could have hoped! Her response time to our messages and return time to get our photos- both engagement and wedding was so fast.

I originally had a different photographer at first, but I had to cancel it the last minute because of communication issues (to make the long story short). I was worried that I couldn't find any replacement photographer and I had about two weeks to find another one. That's when I tried to reach out to Deanna hoping that she was available as my photographer on my wedding and luckily, she was. Deanna coordinated everything so well with very little time, I was very grateful. She was very organized, fun, and the photos were just amazing, it's ridiculous! I also can't forget when she tried to capture a shot while she's in the middle of a busy street, I was terrified that she's gonna get hit by a fast-moving car lol, she sure knows how to make things exciting lol. Deanna Johnson did my husband and I's engagement photos which were amazing with the location Allredge Orchards that fit into our rustic wedding theme. She also created our Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations which came out wonderful with her beautiful touch on them. When the wedding date was coming up, I was a little stressed from the hair and make up people who were suppose to do mine and bridesmaid's that day would not change the time earlier so I could get to the venue earlier to do photos and relax. Deanna was super awesome by calling and searching for new hair and make up people just so I can enjoy my wedding day, rather than stress out and not having a lot of time getting the photos I want and socialize with the wedding guest. I will say the hair and make up ladies that got to replace the originally people were awesome and made us ladies look like princesses. On our honeymoon, we got to check the wedding photos that turned out wonderful that I just could not stop smiling and wanting to see the pictures over and over again. We did purchase a wedding album that did cost a bit, but was absolutely worth it in the end! I highly recommend Deanna Johnson for your wedding!

Deanna was great!!!! We used her help to design our save the dates, wedding invitations and thank you’s! She perfectly took our theme and created an amazing classic look with black and white and color photos mixed in! Her paper goods were of great quality as well!!!! I don't know where to start about Deanna ( A Day to Adore Photography). I can remember countless hours of searching for a KC Wedding Photographer and reading reviews like it was my job. I finally set up an appointment to talk to her about availability because everything on her website ( http://adaytoadore.net ) just put me at ease. From that very second on she catered to our every need and wanted to make sure everything was just perfect up until the "big day". From first meeting for our engagement photos to capturing the wedding, she just understood what I had pictured and exceeded our expectation!!! I rarely had to ask "can you take this" or " make sure you get that" because it was already done :).. I could go on.. and on about how GREAT of a photographer she was and how she never complained or was in the way. I will 100% use Deanna again for moments that can't be forgotten.

The 1st time that I saw Deanna's photography was 5 years before my wedding in 2012 while I was helping my twin with her wedding planning. We both fell in love with her artistic and beautiful photos. As soon as I found my perfect guy and he popped the question, A Day to Adore was the 1st vendor that I had to have! We happily booked her and she did our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner photos and a full day of our wedding photos, all which turned out amazing. We did our engagement photos at Kauffman Stadium since the Royals were the reason my husband and I met and Deanna found the most creative ways to make baseball romantic and lovely. Each photo shoot with her was fun and comfortable for everyone involved. Deanna is so intuitive, not just with the moments she captured at our wedding but also with the planning all along. She had no idea but I was really struggling with finding the perfect invitations when I got an email from her out of the blue letting me know she is there to help if we still needed any additional things for our big day. One meeting later and she worked with us to design the most beautiful invitations that I had been picturing in my head. We got so many compliments on our invitation suite, they turned out just like we  dreamed. Deanna and her 2nd shooter, Mike, were a great team and between the 2 of them they captured every moment from our big day, from the smallest details that we didn't even see in person to the biggest moments that defined our wedding. Thanks to A Day To Adore we have the best possible way to remember that day for the rest of our lives with stunning photos and the most gorgeous wedding album that I have ever seen. The quality is superb and we love having the physical album to show off to our friends and family and to have as the best souvenire of our beautiful wedding. I highly recommend Deanna and A Day To Adore, she is absolutely the best thing to happen to weddings and Kansas City is so lucky to have her talent for such important moments in our lives. Wow. Seriously perfect. There are SO many photographers in the KC area, and photography was super important to me. I am a photo gal and wanted a great deal and a photographer that I could trust but also connect with. Deanna was that photographer. The package I received was WELL WORTH what we paid for. Deanna is open to so many suggestions and agreed to three different photo “sessions”. We did three/four hours of bridal portraits. I had 2 photographers day of my wedding for the whole day (about 12 hours) and received over 1,000 photos! Not only that but Deanna came back for a day after the wedding photo shoot at the Union Station and the Plaza. This shoot replaced our engagement photo session that we had already done. This photo shoot lasted three hours at the time of day we chose. She constantly was in communication and face-timed me multiple times. We also got a very professional wedding album that I am in love with. Not only is Deanna an AMAZING photographer, she also designed my wedding invitations and many of my other paper products (menus/signs/program/etc.) My wedding invitations were 100% unique because of this and cheaper than ordering from anywhere else. I LOVED working with Deanna and if I still lived in Kansas City I would be asking her to do all my photo shoots in the future.

Deanna was AMAZING! This is consistent with all other reviews, but she really did go above and beyond to make our day wonderful. Prior to the wedding , she was always willing to help out with any details and give advice, whether it was photography related or not. She put together our day of schedule, and pretty much served as a wedding planner on top of photographer. I can't speak highly enough of her and Kevin, her second photographer, the day of. They were so calm and organized, that it really made our day completely stress free (and they were SO fun to spend the day with!). Also, her ability to get through family photos quickly and painlessly was MUCH appreciated :) We just got our photos back and are so in love with them. She captured so many great moments throughout the day, and really caught some great memories from the reception for us, my family, and friends.

Deanna has an incredible eye for detail, and watching her adapt to change (whether it's the weather or your day of schedule!) is amazing. She is such a fun and calm presence to be around, and she absolutely delivers what she promises! Oh and as an added bonus, she is so so personable and kind! There's not much more you could ask for in someone who will be next to you all. day. long!

Where do we begin? I would recommend Deanna to ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE!! Not only is she a great photographer, but she is a wonderful asset to any wedding. She helped plan out the day's timeline and it was perfect, she also kept us on that timeline. She worked so smoothly with all our other vendors and was just such a ball to have around. Deanna will be our forever photographer! We spent A LOT of time with Deanna and can’t express our gratitude enough for her kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity, talent, and dedication to her profession! Deanna was involved in almost every aspect of our wedding… and our honeymoon! She always went above and beyond! She shot our engagement photos, our wedding day, and we brought her to Italy on our honeymoon! She also created our invitations and all our paper products for the wedding and reception including our programs, seating chart poster, bar signs, table numbers, etc. Deanna is so easy-going and we were always so comfortable with her. It made being photographed easy! She was able to capture our personalities in our engagement photos and invitations even though we hadn’t known each other long. At the wedding and reception she and her assistant, Mike, were invisible ninjas! We never noticed them but we have pictures of everything! Our bridal party even loved Deanna! She and her camera were like another member of the bridal party. Her energy and personality shined through and made everyone comfortable in front of the camera. She did a great job capturing the special features of our venue (Museum at Prairie Fire) and vendors (Betty Rae’s ice cream truck) while still making us the focal point of pictures. Our initial plan for taking Deanna to Italy was to have a sunrise shoot at the Vatican. Once we found out that she could make it work (while still taking care of her other brides) we were ecstatic! Deanna joined us for four days in Rome and was snapping picture the whole time! We loved exploring and sightseeing with her. On the day of our shoot, we all got up before dawn and she immediately starting shooting as we were getting ready. She was just as excited as we were. Let me tell you, this lady is dedicated! She even laid in the middle of a cobblestone street covered in pigeon poop to get the angle she wanted for a photo! What started as a simple idea ended up being 6 miles of walking around Rome and included the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, and various streets of Rome. Her energy (and coffee) helped keep us going! She was a delight to spend four days of our honeymoon with! All of our photos turned out better than we could have imagined and will forever cherish them. Deanna is truly amazing!

Deanna and I met in crisis. I had booked another photographer who cancelled on me 4 months before my big day. She recommended I call Deanna. Deanna immediately met with me and calmed my fears about the short notice. When we met she thoroughly went through what to expect, my expectations/needs/wants, and created a package that was perfect for us. We were having a small wedding in January, so there was no need for a second photographer, engagement shoot, etc. I had a background in photography and had very specific things that I wanted. She happily complied with all of them and gave me great ideas as well. She truly wanted to get to know my husband and I and our story. We were friends 17 years before we ever dated and had met in high school band. She suggested taking pictures at our high school. She was also super excited about that fact that we had never kissed, and was so excited to be able to capture that at the end of our ceremony. I had a challenging family situation and she helped me to navigate it the best way on our big day. She even gave me the idea of having my brother walk in a picture of my mom and place it on the front row to honor her since she had recently passed away. She met with me a second time just to confirm our previous ideas and create a timeline for the day so everyone would be on the same page. Our big day came in what was to be the ice storm of the century. Deanna again reassured me that she would be there and we would still be able to capture everything we wanted, including outdoor shots. She quickly and efficiently worked through our list of photos, and our extended family even commented on how good she was at family groupings and working with children. She had our proofs ready by the time we were back from our honeymoon. Our album layout was also available to preview almost as soon as we gave her our list of photos to be included. There were a few pages that I didn't like the look of. I called Deanna and she met with me at her house so we could create something that I would truly love. She also edited anything that bothered me (a flyaway hair, a light in the background, etc.) She allowed my husband and I to think over our final layout before finally hitting submit. I cannot recommend Deanna enough. She made our day so much more carefree and relaxed because of her prep work ahead of our day. She answered every question, every phone call, and made sure that I felt great about my choice in using her. Deanna far surpassed my expectations, and I would now consider her a friend.

Deanna was SO accommodating and flexible when it came to taking our engagement photos. She went above and beyond to get the perfect shot! We absolutely loved how our engagement photos turned out. It's no surprise that we have several other friends and family members who have chosen her to photograph their weddings. They made the right choice!

Cannot even state how amazing she is! My daughter did a bridal portrait session that was simply indescribable. The wedding day Deanna and her photographer were everywhere. She then returned on the post-wedding day for sunset photos with the new bride and groom. I don’t know how she didn’t collapse! Her energy and love for what she does simply shines through. A Day to Adore was our wedding photographer and Deanna was the best photographer ever! We were planning our wedding from a different city and Deanna was beyond helpful. She worked around our schedule when we were visiting Kansas City. She also offered help with anything, which was sweet when planning a wedding at a distance. Deanna of a Day to Adore was one of the best things about our wedding! My husband and I are in the military and we had a rare weekend together in Kansas City. With only 36 hours to plan our ceremony, Deanna was our first call. I had seen her work online and loved the photojournalist style she uses - she really tells a story, rather than focusing on staged shots 'typical' of weddings. This was so important to us because there were a lot of people who were not at our ceremony. Deanna's shots told our story so beautifully that several friends and family remarked that it felt like they were there! Deanna helped with so much of our wedding planning, assisting me to select a beautiful venue and several options for photo locations. She even recommended the shop where I bought my dress. On the day of the ceremony she showed up and I immediately felt a connection to her. I hate having my pictures taken, but you can see that I am genuinely comfortable and joyful in all the photos. I felt like she was an old friend. Deanna's energy was so important because our wedding was tiny - my, my husband, two friends, the chaplain, and his wife. She actually rode in the wedding car with us so she could get a few shots en route and I just loved having her by my side. I created a Pinterest album to show her what I was looking for, and long after the ceremony I went back and realized that she had recreated and even improved on ALL the shots I'd asked for. The turnaround time for our shots was days, and she even went back and touched up a few photos that we were planning on having printed. I didn't realize that we would get not only the digital prints, but that she would also create a slideshow to music. We could not have chosen a better wedding photographer! Deanna was so amazing to work with and definitely went above and beyond in every aspect--100% worth the investment! Having your picture taken can kind of be uncomfortable but Deanna made everything go so smoothly and made everything very comfortable. We used Deanna for our engagement and wedding pictures and it was so hard to choose our favorite photos--which was a great 'problem' to have. You can tell Deanna is a seasoned professional especially when it came to our wedding shot list of pictures we needed, she made sure we had all of the pictures we wanted and it was in a super timely fashion. The turn-around time to receiving our edited wedding photos was very quick. Deanna also made a photo album that was the perfect display of our big day within a couple of days of letting her know our favorite photos. Deanna's talent and awesome personality really shined through as even our wedding guests complimented us on how sweet and talented she was and how beautifully the pictures turned out. I could go on and on about how great Deanna was to work with and of her talents--these are just a couple of highlights. I would highly recommend Deanna for any event!

Wow! Where to even begin. Deanna is absolutely amazing! She is an incredibly talented photographer with many great and creative ideas!! She is the sweetest person and really makes you feel comfortable with a camera always on you. My husband and I were married on Saturday and she had our thank you pictures to us by Monday morning so that we could get our cards ordered! Throughout the entire wedding planning process Deanna was always there if I had any wedding planning questions even if it had nothing to do with her job! By the end of our wedding my husband and I felt like she was more our friend than our wedding photographer. You can't go wrong choosing Deanna!

She did our engagement pictures, save the dates, wedding invitations, paper products for the ceremony and reception, wedding photos, and she printed our wedding album. She was so helpful and inventive when it came to making our invitations. If you want quality, this is it. My advice to any couple is this: save money on everything except your photos.
