being great with make-up, she was perfectly prepared for any situation. We did a trial in my apartment with terrible lighting and she had a light kit ready. On the day of the wedding, she came to my hair salon and was able to adapt to the space they had available. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up so I was nervous to even get a make-up artist for fear of not looking like myself, but Deanna was very sensitive to my fears and respectful of my wishes to appear more natural in my wedding photos. Thanks to her magic, I looked perfectly radiant in my photos!

Despite the long day and hot summer weather for the wedding, our makeup lasted all day. She uses airbrush foundation as well as high-end name brand products. She gave me a new tube of lipstick to use on the wedding day for reapplication. During my makeup trial, I showed Deanna a few photos of makeup I liked. She listened to my concerns about what looks I like and don't like when I have makeup done. She came up with the perfect palette and look. Deanna is very professional. She arrived early to my parents house, and she helped keep the day running smoothly by providing a suggested schedule in advance for myself and the maids. She also is very affordable especially for the high level of quality of service she provided being a makeup artist in Chicago. Pricing was as follows: $135 for the bride, $75 per maid, $75 for bridal preview/trial. After the wedding, she even sent me thoughtful thank you and a photo she took of me on the wedding day after my makeup was done. I highly recommend Deanna if you need a bridal makeup artist. It was probably one of the easiest, most stress-free decisions of my whole wedding planning process!

She is calm, professional, and just an overall sweet person. She looked at the sample pictures I had provided and matched what I had asked for perfectly! The day of my wedding she arrived early, was setup on-time, and styled my 9 bridesmaids (yes, she did all nine!), my mother and myself ahead of schedule. I loved that she offers a la carte options in addition to the full air brush package. A few of my bridesmaids only wanted their eyes done and fake lashes and the a la carte option allowed me to save a few bucks and not force anyone to wear makeup that they were uncomfortable with. All of the girls loved their makeup and I could not have been happier. She gave me a flawless look that did not smear and a smoky bronze eye that popped in pictures without being too overwhelming or dramatic up close. I highly recommend Deanna- she is very talented and will make sure your wedding day look is perfect!

We were not able to do a trial run so I had to put my complete trust in her, but from all of the other brides I had spoken with there was not a doubt in my mind! She took her time and payed very close attention to detail. I showed her a few pictures and she got what I was going for exactly. My make up lasted all night! Seeing how my dress must have weighed 100lbs I was rather warm most of the evening and my make up made it through without question! Also not only was my make up absolutely gorgeous, she was a friend to me. I was a ball of nerves, I mean I have never done this before! and Deanna knew the ins and the outs and helped calmed me down. She was very kind, reassuring and down to earth. I could have not asked for a better make up application and on top of that I just really enjoyed the the whole experience. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone, you will not be disappointed!

Both times I even had to touch up my make up, to make it look up to my standards, before the event started. Since I had such bad experiences with professional makeup, I was not sure that I wanted to get my make up professionally done for my wedding. However it was very important for me to look special on my wedding day and I knew that doing my makeup myself would not be glamorous enough. I had scheduled two bridal trials with well-reviewed makeup artists, however I was not happy with the results. My friend suggested Deanna Rae artistry because she and all of her bridesmaids used her for their bridal make up. She promised that I would not be disappointed with Deanna Rae artistry. I was skeptical because I was sick of spending money on trials, but decided to set up a trial bridal makeup session. I could not have been happier with the way my trial went. To prepare herself for the trial, Deanna asked for a picture of me without makeup and a picture of me in which I really like how my make up looks. This was a fantastic idea because Deanna came prepared to the trial with ideas for my make up based on my features, as well as how I like for my make up to look. She then asked many detailed questions about how I wanted my makeup to look. This experience was very different from my other trials. During my other trials the makeup artists asked for examples of what I wanted and how I wanted my make up to look, however I never felt like they listened. I felt as though the makeup artists just ended up doing the style of makeup they preferred on me, which was not how I wanted it to look. Deanna listened to what I wanted, however she would give suggestions for improvements as well. We combined her ideas with mine to make the perfect look for me on my wedding day. When my wedding day came I was worried that my makeup would not turn out as fabulous as the trial. However, once again, Deanna far exceeded my expectations. She took pictures of my trial to replicate the look and she was able to make it look even more beautiful for my wedding. Deanna truly made me look more beautiful than I have ever looked. Every time I look at my wedding pictures it reminds me of how lucky I was to find Deanna!

ay. We had a destination wedding in Jamaica, and thankfully, I was able to book Deanna to apply make-up for myself, my eight bridesmaids, my mom, mother-in-law, and aunt. That's right: Deanna made twelve women picture perfect in the Jamaican summer heat and humidity! A month ahead of time, Deanna created a schedule for me, and I based our hair appointments around her schedule. She always responded to my questions promptly and was patient and flexible when I had to make some last minute timing changes. On wedding day, she set up shop in my hotel room. It was so convenient to have her there, and it allowed all of us girls to hang out together before the ceremony. Deanna also has a sweet, fun personality, and everyone just loved her! I was most impressed that Deanna kept all twelve women right on schedule which allowed the rest of the day to run smoothly. She even made sure to check in with me right before the ceremony to see if I needed any touch ups. At the end of the night, despite the intense Jamaican heat, the make-up still looked great, and my photographer was still equally impressed. I highly recommend Deanna if you want a talented, professional, responsive, make-up artist that genuinely listens to what you want. Deanna answers any make-up and skin care questions you may have and offers great tips, as well. She had eleven very happy clients and one stress free bride that day!

From the time I first contacted her a few months before the wedding regarding a trial until the big day itself, I found her to be responsive and flexible. Perhaps what I appreciated most was how organized and professional she was--during my trial, she took copious notes that she brought with her during the wedding day. She even sent me a reminder of things to do to look my best the week before the wedding day. Because we had a number of girls getting makeup done, Deanna brought an assistant at no extra charge, and her assistant was wonderful too! Of my entire experience with Deanna, the only downside was that the makeup application for each girl took longer than the 40-45 minutes she anticipated. This set us behind schedule somewhat, but I was so pleased with everything else, that it didn't bother me. But it's a good thing for other brides to keep in mind. I would highly recommend Deanna to any bride. She is professional, organized, and responsive. Plus, she knows her stuff and is very sweet to boot!

I was absolutely thrilled at how great the pictures turned out. Not only did my skin look flawless but natural at the same time. The following year I hired Deanna to do my makeup for my bachelorette party, bridal shower, and then my wedding. However, I didn't stop there. Just two months ago I had Deanna do my makeup for my maternity photos as well as for my baby shower. With all these special events, ranging in all sorts of styles and looks, I was beyond pleased with how stunningly beautiful Deanna made me look. Needless to say I would absolutely recommend her services, and have to many friends, for any type of special event and will continue to use in the future!
