Dear Alex and Jane

It was a pleasure to work with Alex and Jane! They photographed our wedding in September of 2016. I was so excited to come across their profile on The Knot when searching for a photographer for my wedding in Woodstock. I loved the style and natural approach of their photographs. They were friendly and professional throughout the entire wedding planning process. Alex and Jane captured our day beautifully. I would highly recommend them to any bride looking for simple and candid photos.

Our wedding was at the end of May, we had beautiful weather luckily and Dear Alex and Jane Photography captured amazing photos. I was very intrigued by their style and loved the color they used in their photos. Wish we had more of a variety of different coloring in our photos. I would just recommend that to them if thats what you wish for. Rachael was the main photographer at our wedding and she was super cool! She was down to earth and made my day go that much smoother. Myself and my guests loved the fact that she wasn't super in your face. She captured the moments without staging them. Rachael let us have access to a TON of our photos, so don't be worried about not having enough; she got amazing shots. I was a bit bummed we didn't get the other female photographer at our wedding, instead we had a younger guy that mainly stayed with the guys getting ready and then photographed some of the wedding. Unfortunately we didn't get too many good shots of my husband and the guys. Maybe it was because my husband was rushing to write his vows last minute HAHA! In the end, they were great, no complaints about Rachael, she was amazing. We wish the younger guys was a bit more involved, and wish we got a bit more color variety in the pictures. I would recommend this photographer for sure!!

Dear Alex and Jane were exactly what I wanted for our wedding. They took so many shots, everyone looked amazing, and they captured the vibe, colors, and fun of our wedding. They were so sweet, exuberant and genuinely seemed to enjoy shooting our wedding. If you are looking for shots that are more artistic with a vintage color palette, definitely book Dear Alex and Jane!

Words can't even express how amazing our experience was working with Dear Alex and Jane for our August wedding at Brotherhood Winery. From our initial meeting, I was taken by Rachel and Alex' warmth and professionalism. We knew that we didn't want the prototypical, overly staged and posed wedding pictures and were thoroughly impressed by Dear Alex and Jane's beautiful portfolio. On our wedding day, I experienced the cliche bridal nightmare of my hair and makeup artist getting the day-of schedule mixed up and arriving 3 hours late. Rachel and Alex helped me stay calm, cool and collected as they raced with me and my family to a nearby salon. They were amazing every step of the way and helped take my mind off of what could have easily turned into a total disaster. One of my biggest fears was how the pictures would turn out, since the pre-ceremony shooting schedule we had originally planned had to be scrapped due to the issue with hair and makeup. Now I realize my worries were completely unwarranted because Rachel and Alex are ridiculously talented photographers. I'm happy to say that we ended up with so many GORGEOUS shots - I nearly almost cried tears of joy! My husband and I have been recommending Dear Alex and Jane to every wedding planning couple we know and can't wait for another occasion to work with them again!
