She was so sweet and a calming presence when doing my reception makeup and also giving me advice for that day. Deepal also helped with my dupatta draping and jewelry setting (tikka, earrings, necklace) for my reception. My dupatta was very heavy and it was my first time wearing one with that much embellishment but thanks to Deepal, it stayed on my head the whole night with no issues. She is very knowledgeable about makeup and I will highly recommend her to my friends and family in the Boston area.

I am no makeup expert, but I had certain things in mind and it was easy to talk to Deepal about making adjustments to the look as she worked on me. To top it all off, Deepal also draped my lehenga in a creative way. I am so glad I trusted Deepal with making me look my best on my wedding day because she 100% made it happen.

Deepal was wonderful with helping me create a look that upheld desi traditions while also being a fit for my personal style and preferences. I was initially very nervous about the hair and makeup process, but she immediately put me at ease during the trial. She was very good about asking about my preferences and comfort level, and offering me different options to try. The day of the wedding there were a few hiccups, but at the end of the day I couldn’t have been happier with my wedding look-amazing hair and makeup, assistance with jewelry and floral accents, and all ready to go in time. I had an awesome experience with Deepal and I highly recommend her services.

the day of is a very uneasy feeling! I have had bad makeup experiences in the past where the artist makes me look like someone else. I have to say everything happens for the best! Deepal was AMAZING!! I started off by sharing with her what I was wanted and why I was nervous and she took it all in and was so kind and understanding. Along the way she was showing me her work, and it was amazing. I did a minimal makeup look that was natural for all my events and I couldn’t have been happier. This was my best experience with a makeup artist. Not only was her makeup and hair work outstanding. She was so great to work with. She listened to me and never tried to tell me what I was saying wasn’t right. She was great! I HIGHLY recommend!!! I will be sharing her info with my friends and family in Boston and excited to hopefully work with her again for other events!

To begin with, the booking process was very easy and since then we were constantly in touch about the kind of looks we wanted to create, the hair accessories she will use, outfit colours and more. Deepal did my makeup and hair for 2 events - the Sangeet and the Wedding. Both the events were held in New York, USA in 2022. And I have to say, she did an absolutely incredible job. I loved both the looks she created for me. This was just what I had imagined myself to look like on my Big Day! The best part about Deepal apart from her skill is her humility. I’ve worked with a lot of makeup artists before but I’ve never met one who was so down to earth and open to what the client wants. Most artists think they know better and just want to create a look of their choice. But with Deepal, she really takes the effort to understand what the client wants and ensures that they get what they want. She delivers what she commits which is so important yet very rare to find. I had been looking for the perfect makeup artist for my big day for months and thanks to my sister she sent me Deepal’s work and told me that she was just what we were looking for. Deepal was very easy to work with and flexible as well. I was able to send a deposit through Venmo to insure my spot. I was hesitant at first flying someone out for hair and makeup but after meeting her during the bridal trial I felt at ease. Working with Deepal was like working with a friend, yet she always kept it professional. She was fun, friendly, and easy going. I appreciated her independence throughout the weekend, since weddings can be stressful dealing with multiple vendors. Overall, I loved all of my looks and was very satisfied. My wedding night (Sheraton crown center KC) consisted of many compliments and questions on who did my makeup. I wish Deepal the best and hope I get the chance to work with her again.

She also has amazing range, she can do natural or glamorous and uses the trial to really gage what your comfort level is at. She is also totally for honest communication and open to accepting feedback because her priority is to make the bride feel perfect so she encouraged that I let her know if I want anything changed (which I never did since she did everything well). I am not a bride that is comfortable with makeup. I needed an artist who would really know what colors would work on me. I also had a desi outfit and a western outfit with no time for touch ups in-between and needed an artist who would know both cultures and would be versatile. Deepal is more than capable of that as she suggested both the hair and make up looks that would work. Lastly, she was the most responsive vendor I had worked with. Getting married in 2021 means competing with more brides than any of the recent previous years (everyone who had to postpone due to covid was competing with me for the vendors on top of the average number of weddings in 2021) so it was really nerve-wracking when other vendors would take their time to respond due to such a high demand of customers. However, Deepal despite being just as busy never left me hanging and as such I found her to be the most reliable in that regard.
