wedding (about 65 guests) but the dining room can hold 200+ people with plenty of room. The dining room has beautiful views of the golf course and a built in bar. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect wedding day. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Denise Brilli, the banquet coordinator at Deerwood, was excellent and a delight to work with. She made the whole wedding planning process so easy and stressfree. She was quick to respond to emails and so attentive to detail. All the food at Deerwood was delicious and served promptly. I loved that the groom and I had a few minutes alone to enjoy some time together and eat the yummy appetizers before being introduced to the reception. I was so happy that we had time to enjoy our dinner before making our rounds to our guests. JoAnne, Deerwood’s own pastry chef baked an incredible red velvet cake and a delicious apple pie for our Pi Day wedding. Our wedding cake was gorgeous and exactly what we dreamed of. Many guests told me how much they enjoyed all of the food and cake at the wedding. All of the Deerwood staff was excellent and made our wedding day so enjoyable. I highly recommend Deerwood to any bride!

s. Denise, the venue coordinator, is very sweet and so helpful. She makes you feel at ease and you can tell this is something she enjoys and is very good at. She is responsive, insightful and helpful. Her staff is professional, and they did an excellent job with setting up, executing my vision, and breaking down. They set everything up exactly how I envisioned it, as if I had done it myself. They were the perfect amount of there-when-you-need-them, but also gave us space and time to enjoy time with our family and party during getting ready and the actual event. Through and through, Denise and her team are great. We got many compliments on the food, from hors d'oeuvres to salads, to drinks to entrees, and of course to the cake. The chef is great at pairing food together and flavors. And Joanna, the pastry chef, made a beautiful and delicious cake that came out exactly what we had talked about. And the food and cake it so fresh because it is all made right there on site. The venue itself is gorgeous. The entrance is impressive, the ballroom can be sized to accommodate your party size so you aren't cramped or too spread out, the bar is built-in and rich, and the veranda and ceremony site is positioned to look out over the huge lake and beautiful grounds. The men and women dressing rooms were perfect to have space to spread out, get ready, have access to multiple bathrooms and sinks, and even have lunch catered in by the Club. I don't have a single bad thing to say about Deerwood. They were perfect and I would recommend them over and over. We are still getting flooded with compliments from A to Z!

rried at another venue in town, but due to construction delays we had to change our plans 5 months before the wedding. Luckily, Deerwood had our date available, and it was a quick and seamless transition to get our venues switched!! Denise, the Events/Catering Director, has been responsive (I'm talking most email replies back in minutes... a saving grace for an anxiety-ridden bride), caring, and helpful every step of the way. The venue is beautiful, it's an incredible value for a couple on a budget, the food at our tasting was amazing, and had we known about Deerwood before we would've never selected our other venue in the first place! Our wedding day was scheduled for April 11 (yesterday), but due to Coronavirus we made the difficult (but would've eventually been state mandated anyways) decision to postpone on March 16th. Within ONE day of making the decision to postpone, Denise had given us new date options for later this year and all vendors were rebooked for our new date. No fees, no hassle, seamless transition. Denise and Deerwood have been so amazing through this whole stressful, unprecedented chaos, and my fiancé and I truly cannot thank them enough. We CANNOT WAIT to get married at Deerwood later this year... and I'll add to this review once we have our special day! EDIT: We FINALLY got married on October 3 and it was the perfect day, in large part to Denise and the amazing staff at Deerwood. Everything on our day far exceeded my expectations - and that is hard to do as I'm a bit of a perfectionist. The decor was set up even better than I could've imagined, the food was just as good as it was during the tasting, they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne for the dressing room (AND for our "magic moment" before the reception), and were extremely flexible throughout the process in helping us tweak plans as needed with the COVID pandemic. I cannot say enough good things about Denise and Deerwood, and would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone getting married. It's truly a full-service venue, with gorgeous scenery and reception hall, and a courteous staff. As good as it gets, and we are so thankful!
