Our venue (Cantigny) exclusively used DeEtta's and we were so happy they did! Our wedding cake not only looked beautiful but it was extremely yummy! We had such a fun time with our at-home tasting and they had so many beautiful cake designs to choose from. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

I was so excited to find out our venue, Arrowhead Golf Club, provided a cake through DeEtta's, our favorite local bakery! The cake looked beautiful and elegant, and DeEtta's was easy to work with during the planning process. We chose two flavors - chocolate with cookies and cream mousse, and red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Everyone raved about how delicious they were! We also did an assorted sweets table, which was a hit! :)

DeEtta’s Bakery made us a STUNNING cake for our wedding! It was beautifully decorated and tasted great too! We love DeEtta's and were thrilled with the quality of the Cake! We recommend them for all of your general bakery needs as well as for high quality specialty cakes!

DeEtta's did our Wedding cake for our October Wedding at Cantigny and it was STUNNING! White buttercream frosting with almond frosting inside, and a vanilla cake. It was meticulously decorated, and we paid the upcharge for a more complex cake which was so worth it. It was delicious and beautiful!

The cake was absolutely perfect! The design looked like exactly what we had asked for. We enjoyed their tasting getting to mix and match all the flavors. They did a seamless job from start to finish and we cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about DeEtta's Bakery. The cake they presented for our wedding reception was rich and flavorful, and many of our guests told us it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had.

DeEtta’s is absolutely delicious! I’ve had so many compliments on our wedding cake! Also, the tasting was so fun and it really was a tough decision since everything we tried was so good!

The quality of service at this place is really poor, the staff that works here is rude and do not acknowledge their mistakes, they are also not transparent when placing order they send no emails or confirmation texts stating details of the order placed, charges and any other detail regarding the order

Our wedding cake from DeEtta’s Bakery was absolutely delicious! The entire process to coordinate our tasting and select our cake was very smooth. They offer a variety of cake flavors, fillings, and beautiful designs to choose from. We chose a white cake with almond cream filling and an almond cake with cream cheese filling. Both were beyond my expectations. The flavors were perfect together and the cake was incredibly moist and soft. We had many guests mentioning how good the cake was! The final result was absolutely beautiful. I hadn’t heard of DeEtta’s until we began our wedding planning and they are on our radar now! We hope to try more of their pastries and baked goods in the future. I’m already looking forward to our 1 year anniversary cake. Thank you DeEtta’s!

The entire process from the tasting to having the cake delivered the day of the wedding was a breeze! And was beautiful & delicious too. We can’t wait to call them before our 1st anniversary to get our small version of the cake to commemorate the day.

Limited choice, very strict and not welcoming to customize for your wedding. Horrible customer service on the 1 year anniversary cake. The cake itself was nice but not extraordinary.

We chose Cantigny Park as our wedding venue and luckily a DeEtta’s wedding cake was included with our package. From the start, DeEtta’s was a pleasure to work with - very organized, communicative and they listened to what we wanted. After the cake tasting went great, we knew we had to get our desserts table from them as well. All of our guests raved about the delicious cannolis and eclairs - good stuff! Most importantly, they were affordable and you definitely get your money’s worth. Overall, we can’t recommend DeEtta’s enough - great service and desserts!

We had to get DeEttas cake from our venue due to partnership but I am so glad we did, it was the best cake I had ever tasted! The staff are all very friendly and the take home cake tasting made it easy to try the cake again and again. I am looking forward to our 1 year anniversary cake!

Only place that does tasting. I wanted tasting ti be part of engagement period. It was so much fun doing the tasting at home. And will be an memory forever. We went with buttercream instead of fondant because fondant is about looks (easier to make cool designs) but taste awful. Btw it taste awful not because of this place, it’s just crappy frosting. The cake was delivered on time and it was delicious. We don’t need to freeze anything because they give you an anniversary cake in a year.

DeEtta’s Bakery was the bakery that came with our venue and we are so glad it did! This was one of the best cakes we have ever tasted. Our trial was at home but it was a lot of fun and DeEtta’s makes it so easy! Our guests are still talking about how delicious the cake was. We would definitely recommend DeEtta’s and will be coming here for future events.

The most complimented aspect of the night. Everyone loved and raved about the cake. It was elegant and delicious. Absolutely perfect for our wedding.

Our original baker (who was the preferred baker with our venue) ended up retiring with only 5ish months to go before our wedding. The venue then directed us to a new baker they were working with, DeEtta's. Our original lemon of needing a new baker truly became lemonade when working with DeEtta's as their cake tasted even better than the original baker--sweet, but not too sweet. Most wedding cakes I've had in the past have been dry, but not from DeEtta's! My friends and family raved about the cake--an aunt who isn't huge on cake even went back for seconds! Cannot wait to order more baked good from them.

AMAZING! We were directed to DeEtta's bakery as they are the cake vendor for Ginkgo Catering at the Morton Arboretum. The tasting process was so simple and fun. Their flavor selections are fantastic, and their design choices are beautiful. We paid extra to have a colorful design on our cake, and it was well worth the money for the wow factor on the cake. My guests are still raving about the chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Also, we get an anniversary cake on our one year anniversary since we were unable to take any home after our wedding due to the perishability of the cake. They're fantastic to work with and you and your guests will love the cake!

DeEtta’s Bakery was the bakery our venue worked with, we did not have a point person after our first phone call to set up our tasting just an email really for questions and to give our selected flavors and final count. We also had an at home tasting kit which with our busy schedules was perfect all the flavors were really good. However for us the designs were limited to what was in their selected catalog which made it feel a little impersonal. Though the designs were pretty they were not us for our Halloween outdoor wedding. The staff that we did have contact with were nice.

I mean...it's DeEtta's! If you live in the area you already know. Top quality service, beautiful cake. I hear from so many brides that they don't even get to taste their cake on their wedding day because they're so busy. Well, we had two cake flavors and I had a slice of BOTH! The red velvet went so quickly. Beautifully moist, elegant, everything you want. They were real accommodating for what I wanted too - a small tiered cake for my party and for me to keep, and exact same cake layers and frosting as sheet cake in the back for the guests. They made it so special!

DeEtta’s is amazing and thank you to all the staff we interacted with between consulting, tasting, and delivery. You cannot go wrong with any of the cake and filling flavors and their Italian buttercream is amazing! We were torn between a few flavors but ultimately choose a lemon cake with lemon cream and it was perfection for a daytime summer wedding. The design was beautiful too, delicate flowers on the base tied in the summer and floral feel while still being classic and minimalist! We thank DeEtta’s and their staff for all their work and delicious cake, it truly made our day extra special.

DeEtta's cake came with our venue and we are so happy it did. The cake tasting processess was easy and it was a take home version so we got to make a date night out of it. The cake was delicious and our guests loved it too.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! I was actually a bit sad that we had NO leftovers! All of our guests raved about the cake. It looked exactly like what we discussed and tasted just like what we had when we chose the cake. My husband is not really into sweets, but he LOVED the Almond Cake with Almond Creme. We can’t wait to have our Anniversary cake next year!

We opted for a sweets table (which was included in our reception package for Cantigny Golf/Red Oak Room) and could not be happier with the offerings provided by DeEtta's! Our family cleared the table three times that evening! My husband and I got one treat from our whole table since guests couldn't keep their hands off it. Our cake tasting was so much fun and our wedding cake delicious! Working with the bakery to select the cake was super easy and they were extremely helpful to our questions and ideas! The bakery was so helpful to add a special touch and mess up an area for our dog figurine to be featured! The cake looked perfect the day of and exactly what we wanted. We are extremely happy with DeEtta's! Our guests complimented the cake and seemed to really enjoy it. We are looking forward to our year anniversary cake to enjoy it all over again!

The cake was great for my wedding! The three tiered cake they made was just what I imagined it to be! I loved that I was able to pick two flavors for the cake! The lemon filling is awesome!!!! I can't wait to get my free anniversary cake from there next year! I highly recommend them to any one that needs a beautiful cake for a special day!

We had a wedding at the drake in oak Brook and they were a preferred vendor. We had a a classic yellow buttercream cake with Bavarian cream. It was delicious! Our guests even raved about it, we had no cake left because people were looking for other slices! I would highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake!

We were searching for a reasonably priced wedding cake that would taste light (my husband and I are not big sweets people) for our 186 person wedding. We searched around a few bakeries in the area and found other quotes quite high for a simple design cake. We stubbled upon DeEtta's Bakery online and we're so glad we went with them for our 10/9/21 wedding. DeEtta's Bakery was responsive to our inquiries and professional throughout the process. Our tasting was done as a pick-up and try at home style due to COVID but we loved how we were able to mix and match different cake, frosting, and filling combinations all in the comfort of our home. We were hoping to mirror a strawberry shortcake that we grew up eating in Chicago. We ended up getting a 3 tier'ed cake plus one sheet cake of the white cake, Italian buttercream, and strawberry mousse filling. The cake was so light, moist, and creamy. We would highly recommend DeEtta's Bakery.

Our cake came out amazing! We went very simple and had our florists add flowers to it. Everyone raved about how delicious the cake was, I even had a few guests say they were going to make a drive (about an hour) just to go try some of their bakery items.

The best cakes ever!! We ended up getting a cannoli filling with white cake and a strawberries and Bavarian Cream filling with yellow cake. It was delicious and looked perfect. Exactly what we wanted. Tastings were easy and fun. Staff was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations! Overall, super pleased!

This was the bakery recommended with our venue and we absolutely loved it! Due to COVID, we had to do our tasting at home but they still made it so special. The cake was delicious and plentiful! I highly recommend!

We didn’t book our cake directly through DeEtta's Bakery but our Caterer is partnered with them and we couldn’t have picked a better cake baker on our own! It was AMAZING, so much so that we’ve gotten cakes from them for other events like our mini-ceremony (covid caused us to get married twice 😊) and for birthdays.

De Etta's did such an amazing job on both my wedding shower cake and wedding cake. I was SOOOO pleased with how they looked and tasted! I'm so impressed with the quality and the flavors. I would highly highly recommend trying this place. I LOVED going to their Pinterest and looking through all the pics because I was able to grab ideas that I liked from all the cakes to be able to make my perfect cake :)

Best wedding cake ever!!! We tried multiple vendors and this was by far the tastiest. Their chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling is to die for! Every guest commented how delicious it was, including our photographers who said it was one of the best wedding cakes they've had, and that really says something because they try a lot of wedding cakes in their line of work! I sent them a photo of how I wanted it decorate and they nailed it- beautiful design! I can't recommend this place enough!

DeEtta’s was incredible! My husband and I were a bit unconventional when it came to our wedding “cake” as we skipped the cake entirely and wanted to only do pies for our wedding. We went with the following: Apple Cherry Chocolate cream Pecan Coconut cream Key Lime I have not had people stop raving about how delicious each one of the pies were! We have recommended DeEttas to a number of people and my MIL has now designated them as our dessert vendor of choice for any future events. Additionally, if you stop in and try any of their desserts, they are ALL incredible and delicious. Cannot go wrong! Thank you again to DeEttas for making our day such a hit!
