If you’re looking for a sign to book the Deity as your wedding venue, let this review be it. My wife and I could not have dreamed of a better NYC venue. It combined the charm and the convenience that we feel living in this city every day.
The Deity is a one stop shop and the most well-oiled machine. Our wedding was one of the largest sit-down dinners they've had at the venue and, given the challenge we imposed, everything was executed so seamlessly.
We loved how everything was all in one place and so did our guests. Both wedding parties used the bridal suite to get dressed and ready. Additionally, maneuvering through the venue was so fun because every change in level felt like a different chapter of the night, each one better than the next.
We loved how we took all of our photos on-site because of how aesthetically beautiful the venue was. There is no need to waste time going to elsewhere.
Long story short, if you’re looking for a beautiful venue, in a great area, with staff that communicates, is upfront about costs, and makes you feel like royalty on your wedding day, the Deity is for you!

Our wedding at Deity was exactly what we had envisioned. Having been to loads of weddings held in standard banquet halls or ballrooms, we were looking for a “non-traditional” venue that stood out, and Deity did exactly that.
Working with Anastasia and Caio was the most seamless process that we could have hoped for. They were both extremely accommodating, understanding, and willing to work with us to ensure that the day went exactly as we had planned. We had a few unconventional requests, which were welcomed wholeheartedly and executed on flawlessly. We cannot recommend the two of them enough.
The service and food throughout the night also exceeded our expectations, with a few of our guests saying that it was the best wedding food they have ever had.
If you are looking for a fun, memorable, and stylish venue to host your wedding - Deity is the one!

We got married at Diety a couple months ago but we actually found Deity two years prior to that when I stumbled upon this venue online. Originally we were not even searching for a venue in new york city but when we found Deity - I thought, this is too good to be true and booked a viewing immediately. We were immediately impressed with not only the gorgeous venue but their all in one package, and the flexibility and kindness we received on our initial viewing made us confident we found the right place. Throughout the wedding process Caio always answered my questions and were so open to all our ideas and remained flexible to help us execute a unique and special day. On the day of the wedding and leading up we had the pleasure of working with Anastasia who helped execute everything for us. The day ran so smoothly and Anastasia did not miss a beat - she not only ran the entire show, she always made sure we were taken care of and she quickly became a close friend we trusted that night. The chef James executed a special all vegan menu for us and both us and our guests raved about the food and we are still being told our delicious the vegan meatballs were! The bartenders and servers were also all amazing, the drinks were amazing and the service was quick. The DJ also killed it and was able to keep everyone on the dance floor all night and also went above and beyond with our song requests for the day. We are so beyond happy we got married at Deity and could have not found a better venue that cared so much, was filled with so much detail and care and had the best employees working for them who made it all possible.

We had the most beautiful wedding at Deity NYC on September 18th, 2025, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, the team made us feel so cared for — every detail was handled with love and intention.
We were so honored that Caio, the owner, was there every step of the way. Not only did he keep the flow of the evening seamless (and wow, what an incredible MC he is!), but he went above and beyond — personally helping my husband’s grandmother, who uses a wheelchair, get to every floor of the venue. That moment alone showed just how deeply the Deity team cares about their couples and guests. The sign that says “Brooklyn Love” isn’t just décor — they truly live by it.
A special shoutout to Anastacia, who made me smile all day long and somehow managed to bustle my dress in under five minutes — she’s a total unicorn! Chef James created absolute perfection on every plate; our guests are still raving about the food. The Caviar Potato was an unforgettable showstopper!
Thank you also to Matt, who made every guest feel at home and coordinated our late-night bites — such a fun and delicious touch. The bartenders absolutely understood the assignment (let’s just say everyone’s dance moves improved after visiting them 😂).
And DJ BenHa — you are one of a kind! Every song hit perfectly, our requests were honored, and the dance floor never stopped. It was pure joy from start to finish.
Deity is truly a gem — from the stunning multi-level design to the heart of the people who run it. Our guests were completely wowed as they experienced each unique floor throughout the night. We can’t wait to come back to celebrate more love and milestones in this magical space.
Highly, highly recommend Deity NYC for any elegant, love-filled event. Thank you for helping us create the best day of our lives! ❤️

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Deity. The space is really eclectic in the best way. It balances elegance with a little Brooklyn quirk, especially in the cocktail hour room, which all of our guests loved.
From start to finish, the planning process was simple and straightforward. You have one big meeting where everything gets laid out. After that, Anastasia, Caio, and the rest of the team were always quick to respond to emails when we needed to make adjustments. They were professional, organized, and made sure both we and our families felt taken care of throughout the day. Having almost everything in-house (e.g., everything less flowers, cake, photography) also made the whole process less stressful. Compared to other venues we looked at, Deity felt like a value and a way to make our guests feel like they were having an "authentic" NYC/Brooklyn wedding.
The food and drinks were another highlight. The short rib was especially memorable, and the bar staff worked with us to create custom cocktails and pre-batch them so no one was stuck waiting in line. The DJ was flexible with our specific music tastes and vision for the evening and collaborated seamlessly when we brought in a drag queen for dinner, which turned into a huge hit with our guests.
I’d also recommend booking the couple’s suite. It gave us a place to relax, get ready, and even host a pool party that added a really fun element to the day! Relaxing with our wedding guests earlier in the day was a really great way to connect with folks.
Overall, Deity delivered on every level. We’re grateful to Anastasia, Caio, and the whole team for making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

We fell in love with Deity the moment we toured it. It’s gorgeous, intimate, classy — old-school New York at its exposed brick and stained-glass finest. It’s essentially a three-for-one venue: the Loft for ceremony and dinner, the Lounge for cocktail hour, and the Cellar for dancing. Our guests raved about how unique the flow of the evening was.
I highly recommend doing a tasting beforehand — chef is incredibly accomplished, and the food was outstanding. The servers were very attentive, and Ben, the DJ, absolutely knocked it out of the park. He read the vibe of the room so well and literally kept people on the dance floor all night.
The convenience for the price point is absolutely unmatched:
✅ sumptuous getting-ready suite
✅ ceremony space
✅ reception space
✅ on-site catering and bar
✅ linens, dinnerware, glasses, furnishings
✅ bar staff and servers
One piece of advice for future couples: hire your own coordinator to act as an advocate and buffer on your wedding day — a kind of stage manager. Deity does provide a day-of coordinator, but we had some frustrating challenges on this front. Looking back, it would have helped to have someone outside the venue team fully dedicated to managing the timeline and wrangling bridal parties, family, and vendors, and executing our vision overall. You’ll work with Deity’s coordinator in the lead-up to create a timeline (make it as detailed as humanly possible — lists upon lists!), but there were still moments when we were pulled out of the celebration to answer questions or remind the coordinator of details already in the plan. Having an additional coordinator would have allowed us to stay more fully present.
That said, our overall experience at Deity was overwhelmingly positive, 10/10, would get married there again. The atmosphere, food, service, and convenience made for an unforgettable wedding. If you’re looking for a charming venue that captures the magic of New York while taking so much of the logistical stress off your shoulders, Deity is a wonderful choice.

We searched high and low for wedding venues using The Knot and Reddit reviews and this easily was the hardest part of our wedding planning journey. Finding Deity was like finding a needle in a haystack. What we love the most is that there is ample space for our entire wedding day, from getting ready to hitting the dance floor. Other venues we saw suggested nearby hotels for getting ready and nearby bars for our reception party due to noise ordinances. Some had restrictions on which vendors we could use. While it was fun to see these spaces, we ended up with a list of seven contenders with their own sets of pros and cons. What made us choose Deity was the honest pricing structure and easy communication. Deity has a wedding party suite, a loft, lounge, and cellar–each with its own feel and unique aspects like stained glass windows and large mirrors. Their team has been easy to work with and willing to answer as many questions as we had. I truly do not know of another wedding venue like Deity, you will not regret partnering with them for your wedding day!

We had our wedding on May 5th 2024 and it was THE best day ever.
We are so happy we chose Deity to host our special day. We decided to use the suite that they provide to get ready, we had access to it from 8am and our families brought food and drinks and we had breakfast together while everyone got ready, it was so much fun having our friends and family there, it is such a huge space it fit all of us very comfortably. I was very nervous but getting ready with my family and friends took all the nerves away, they provide two Bluetooth speakers so they boys listened to their music while the girls listened to our music.
They day went so SMOOTH, there were no hiccups, everyone that works there made sure we had everything we needed and more. They somehow knew what we wanted before we said anything.
The food!! Omg the food!! Everyone has not stopped raving about the food, they said it was the best meal they’ve had.
The music, our Dj, Dj Ben Ha Meen had everyone on the dance floor until the very end, he played all the songs we asked and more. He was a great time.
I was worried about the different floors, and that the older people would have a hard time going up or down but the staff made sure they were good and had a seat at all times.
Days later our friends still tell us how fun and amazing our wedding was and I don’t think it would have been this amazing if we didn’t have it at Deity.
Thank you Anna and the staff!

I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for the negative interaction I had with the owner, Caio. After paying the deposit and signing the contract for our wedding, he refused to honor the menu promised to us by his manager Melissa. He said some very unpleasant things to me over the phone and probably should not be dealing with the public.
With that said, our wedding was beautiful, the food was delicious, the day of coordinator made everything flow flawlessly, our guests enjoyed themselves and many told us it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to.

Our wedding was on November 2024 and Caio and his team at Deity had made it such an easy process! Let’s rewind a bit to when my wife and I were venue shopping. We had initially stumbled upon Deity through their amazing reviews and reached out to Caio to see if we can take a tour of the venue. His response time was faster than any of the other places that I’ve reached out to and he has been so accommodating to my schedule to tour. Upon touring the place, it was such a “Brooklyn vibe” with the exposed brick in the loft as well as the amazing cellar and dance floor. Its unique structure was also a great selling point for us as all of the places were isolated on a specific floor. The highlight was certainly the wedding suite on the top floor! After our tour, we knew that this was the place for our wedding. Initially, we were planning a micro wedding but having physically looked at the venue, we opted for the all-inclusive wedding along with the bridal suite option. Honestly, the prices were too good not to go for it. Caio and his team thankfully had the exact date we wanted for our wedding.
Planning for the wedding was such a breeze thanks to Caio and his team. They would periodically reach out to coordinate the wedding and any questions I had would prompt an immediate response from his team. Caio’s team coordinated everything with my additional vendors and honestly made planning so easy. All I had to do was just tell his team what I wanted for the wedding.
Inching closer to the day of, we had scheduled a food tasting with Chef James so we had a better idea of what to pick for the menu. If you have the budget for it, certainly opt for the tasting. Chef James is a master at what he does. Every single plate of food that was presented was meticulously explained and not to mention delicious! One of the biggest things that guests care about at a wedding is the food and let me tell you, the food was delicious. We had our reservations of whether or not there would be enough food given it was family-style, but all of our guests were well fed and full. After the wedding, our guests wouldn’t stop talking about the food!
On the day of the wedding, we had access to the venue in the morning to bring our outfits to the wedding suite. This area was great as it provided the perfect space for us, along with friends and family to get ready. Hair and makeup were all done in the wedding suite prior to the wedding. Guests upon arrival were directed by staff and for welcome drinks and taken to the loft prior to the ceremony. After the ceremony, we were directed back to the wedding suite for a chance for the two of us to enjoy some snacks and take a breather while guests were enjoying cocktail hour. Halfway throughout cocktail hour, we were guided back to mingle with guests and then went back upstairs for the reception. After enjoying a wonderful meal, it was time to party down at the cellar. DJ BenHa had such a great playlist and guests enjoyed a wonderful night of dancing. Plus, the open bar concept and specialty cocktails curated by the bartending team were such a hit. Even to this day, when I speak to guests, they can’t stop talking about our wedding.
If you want an affordable, all-inclusive, all-planned out wedding, Deity is your bet. Caio and his team will ensure that your wedding will be stress-free and a breeze.

We discovered Deity while searching for a unique, character-filled venue that could comfortably host our 100-person wedding—and we’re so glad we did. Deity is a fantastic option for small to mid-sized weddings, especially if you want something different from the typical catering hall.
One of the biggest perks? All-inclusive pricing—gratuity included. Rates are based on the day of the week and season, but everything is laid out clearly with no surprise fees. The venue includes the ceremony space (which is transformed throughout the evening into the dining area), cocktail bar/lounge, and basement dance floor, as well as their in-house DJ. Overall, the pricing is transparent and stress-free, which made budgeting so much easier.
From the moment we first contacted Deity, the team was incredibly responsive and helpful. We started our planning journey with Anna, who gave us a thorough tour and patiently answered every question we threw her way. Later on, we transitioned to working with the owner, Caio, who seamlessly continued the process.
Deity keeps some planning elements flexible, so you’ll handle your own florals, desserts, photography, and makeup, allowing you to personalize your day however you want.
The venue itself has a rich history—it was once a synagogue, then other businesses, and now an event space. They’ve preserved many of the original architectural features, which give the space a warm, intimate charm you won’t find in a standard banquet hall. Uniquely New York. Just note: it’s an older building, so there’s no elevator.
One of the highlights of planning was the tasting dinner with Chef James. It was not only a delicious evening but also a great way to meet some of the staff who’d be working the event. The menu options were one of the reasons we chose Deity—and the food more than delivered. Cocktail hour and dinner were phenomenal, with flavors that exceeded our expectations.
The day-of coordination team made us feel like absolute rockstars. Their attention to detail and calm professionalism ensured everything ran smoothly. This team is truly invested in making your wedding the best it can be.
If you opt for the penthouse suite, you’ll have access from the morning until after the ceremony—a perfect space for photos, especially if the weather doesn’t cooperate (it rained on our day, so this was a lifesaver). There's plenty of room for getting ready, plus an outdoor hot tub and ice plunge on the rooftop, which adds a fun, relaxing touch.
The ceremony space itself feels cozy and intimate, ideal if that’s the vibe you’re going for. The flow of the night is a little different than traditional venues—dinner is served first, followed by dancing—but it worked perfectly for us. We chose to do our cake cutting and dessert in the basement, which was a fun way to transition into the party.
Our DJ, BenHa Meen, was amazing—he kept the energy up all night and read the room perfectly. People danced until the very end!
Final Thoughts
We had an incredible experience at Deity and wouldn’t change a thing. The venue, the food, the team—everything came together beautifully. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the space and the food, and we’re still glowing from how perfect it all felt.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind venue with charm, character, and a truly supportive team—Deity is it.

My wife and I could not have asked for a better wedding experience than what we had at Deity. From morning until midnight, Anastasia and Caio treated us and our guests like family. From physically carrying our elderly guests up the stairs when necessary, to organizing and coordinating the logistics on the day of the wedding to perfection, we could not have asked more from Deity; several guests told us that they were "blown away" by Caio and Anastasia! It was an absolute joy to have our wedding at Deity!

My husband and I got married at Deity on 6/5/25. We were impressed by this Brooklyn gem of a venue when we toured it a year ago with owner Caio and our fantastic day-of coordinator, Anastasia. Deity is an all-inclusive venue that allows you to personalize your event, and we are happy that our wedding reflected our personalities.
We spent our wedding day at Deity with the rental of their “getting ready” suite, which was the perfect space for hair and makeup, dressing privacy for bride & groom, first-look reveals, formal family & wedding party photos, and eating/caffeinating to keep up our energy before the main event.
My husband and I received several compliments from our guests about the delicious food, which was impeccably made by Chef James. Deity did a phenomenal job accommodating vegans, celiac/gluten-free guests, and folks with food allergies/sensitivities.
Many thanks to Deity for being the perfect venue for us and for having a top-quality in-house DJ (shout-out to DJ Ben) and equally wonderful preferred vendors, including our photographers, Megan & Kenneth, and our florist, Stonefruit Botanical. Deity delivered on their promise to rock out our wedding!

My wife and I got married at Deity on 4/6/25 and what an incredible day it was! A colleague recommend we check it out and I’m so happy we did. My wife and I took a tour of the space and immediately fell in love with it. It’s 3 levels, lots of warmth, exposed brick and it’s an all-inclusive venue which was a life saver. We had 80 guests and filled the space out nicely. We honestly didn’t need to bring much in the way of decor because of how well decorated the space is. You could totally add more, but we decided to keep it simple. Anna, Anastasia and Caio were all great. Anastasia was our day of coordinator and she crushed it. Everything went smoothly and she was a total pro.
The food and drinks were 10/10! My wife and I are foodies (who isn’t living in New York??) so we do have a high bar for food and this was our biggest concern going into wedding planning. Chef James did an incredible job and it’s the biggest compliment we kept hearing from our guests. DJ Ben Hameen was also amazing and lovely to work with. He got our vibe and was the best at upholding our “no song requests from guests” request despite persistent guests 😂 we really appreciated that. The bartenders did a great job with drinks and our two signature cocktails. Everyone had a fabulous time and we were so grateful to be able to pull off the biggest party of our lives.

All expectations were far exceeded for our wedding day at Deity! We wanted a chic New York aesthetic and the venue delivered on every level, literally. Each floor is unique, functional, in good condition, and has so much to offer for pictures. Deity includes almost everything you need for the entire experience and great 3rd party vendor connections for what remains. We did not need a wedding planner. Caio, Anastasia (our day of coordinator), and the rest of the amazing staff took the best care of us leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We were treated like royalty and really felt special. DJ and music kept the dance floor active the entire night. Finally, we had HIGH expectations for the food and cocktails after our tasting. And even these were exceeded. Everything was delicious and you can trust quality for each of your guests will be as good as your initial tasting experience. Chef James is one of a kind. We can’t rave about Deity enough.

From our first interaction the kindness from Caio, Anna, Anastasia and the rest of the Deity staff there was a sense of genuine kindness and that continued through the end of our wedding day and it meant the world to us. Modern day weddings can be such a headache but ours was not and that was because of these people. Everyone involved in our process made everything so easy. From touring the venue, to the communication about details, to helping organize and execute how our day flowed, to the AMAZING food we really can't thank them enough. We did a small, private wedding on the roof followed by a big party and it was the first they really ever did like that but they nailed it. The way they made sure it was personal and what we wanted was f***en incredible. The staff on the day of the wedding were incredible and made everyone feel so welcome. They made our day so special. These people care about the event but they care about the reasoning behind the event even more.
Also. Chef James. Incredible. We’ve been to some weddings where the food is so average, but his food was raved about. Everyone told us that the food was the best at any wedding they've been to and we have to agree with them. We did multiple hor d’oeurves and a standing dinner and he crushed it.
Also, they provided DJ Ben who has a meeting with you before about your vibe, song selection, etc. He crushed it. People said it was the most energetic dance floor they've been on
Lastly, something personal about the owner, Caio. My wife’s grandmother was 91 at the time of the wedding. We had the wedding on the rooftop that is up a spiral staircase. He personally helped her up and down the stairs, made sure she was fed, had a seat etc. He, and his staff, was laser focused on making sure she was accommodated the whole evening. It speak volumes about him as a person.
If you want a NY wedding Deity is it.

Memories that will last a lifetime- our daughter’s bat mitzvah reception at Deity!
What a wonderful, special day and what a wonderful special team at Deity. We were fortunate enough to have Deity suggested to us as a great “one stop shop” by an event planner but they are much more than that- committed to make your day exactly how you want it to be! The level of care throughout both the planning process and on the day of the event were exceptional.
The beautiful venue is laid out over three distinct spaces, each having a great Brooklyn vibe (exposed brick, great lighting, stained glass, greenery and dark woods): We used the bottom floor for dancing and where the kids immediately went for their own appropriate kid/ teen menu, while the adults were greeted on the main floor for cocktail hour with delicious passed hors d’ouvres and then the top floor was for the sit-down lunch (this floor is also typically used for ceremonies if having on-site). We loved the three separate areas, which not only gave a unique experience but also allowed the kids to be as loud as they wanted to be while the adults were able to enjoy and hear each other 😊, and then to celebrate all together for dancing and dessert. We had done a tasting beforehand (they had mentioned most people do the tasting before a wedding but we wanted to as well and glad we did), enjoyed meeting Chef James and the bartneder and the food was even more delicious on the big day!
The staff and the owner, Caio, were very attentive. We used Alive Events for the music, photo booth, some swag and DJ, specifically Pat, who many people commented was fantastic (because he was!). Pat (and Alive Events) has done several events at Deity, so that can only enhance the seamless flow of the event. We chose to bring in flowers and used Zuzu’s petals, as well as some pastries from Mia’s Bakery and our favorite cake from Cousin John’s bakery. Deity has a list of great vendors but will also happily work with yours. When the event was over the staff carefully packed everything up for us and came out to our car and helped load it up. It was just a beautiful day and I can’t say enough great things about Deity. Thank you Caio, Chef James and the Deity team!

We had the best wedding experience possible with Deity. We were looking for a slightly less traditional set-up with a standing dinner and multiple spaces available to our guests throughout the night. We immediately fell in love with Deity’s multi-level layout and charming vibes. The basement dance floor, the cocktail lounge, event space, and bride/groom suite created a dedicated space for every part of the event.
Caio and his team were so fun to work with, it felt both professional and personal at every step along the way. They worked with us to find creative ways to use the space in order to accommodate our high guest count and it really felt like they believed in our vision and cared just as much as us about making it come to life. Communication leading up to the event was very smooth and the day of felt like a breeze. We had a disruption during our ceremony due to an unwell guest and the staff handled it like pros! Everyone bounced back even better afterwards and the energy was electric all night. All our guests loved the food and the space and the dance floor was absolutely incredible. DJ Trauma understood the vibe we wanted perfectly and kept the room bumping all night. Multiple guests asked us for his contact info afterwards!
Picking a venue for your wedding is a big deal and you want to know that you’re in good hands. Deity and the team there are those hands.

Deity hosted the perfect dream wedding for us. Wedding planning is no simple feat and Anna and Caio took the stress right out of it. Amazing NYC views from the bridal suite/rooftop, a beautiful dance floor and delicious food and cocktails that our guests still talk about 6 months later (some of the best Salmon and Short Rib we’ve ever had), we couldn’t recommend booking Deity enough.
We also had the pleasure of checking out the new Supper Club on Valentine’s Day and it brought us right back. Incredible prix fixe menu with something to offer for everyone, we’re looking forward to going back ASAP!
For the pricing, convenience and attentiveness of its staff, it’s a no-brainer to book your event at Deity and check out the new Supper Club!

Deity was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s bat mitzvah! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The unique three-floor layout was ideal—it allowed us to keep different parts of the event separate while still feeling connected. Hosting the ceremony, dinner, and party all in one place made everything so much easier, and having a dedicated space for the kids to dance while the adults enjoyed their own area was just perfect.
Caio and the entire team were incredible. They guided us through the sometimes overwhelming world of planning a bat mitzvah, helping us focus on what truly mattered and making sure everything ran smoothly. Their expertise, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference, and we felt so supported every step of the way.
The party itself was absolutely amazing—our family and friends are still talking about it! We are so grateful to Deity for making this milestone so special, and we will be back when it’s our younger daughter’s turn to celebrate!

We were initially very excited to have our wedding at Deity last August. The venue seemed great and well organized for a good price. However we ended up dealing with a rude and unprofessional owner, last minute changes to our wedding, and even having our personal items being broken and hidden from us.
We had known for months that main event coordinator was going to be out on leave, and that we would have a different coordinator for the day of the wedding. However leading up to the wedding we had some questions about the event we were dropping $40k+ on. We were then rebuffed by the owner, telling us how stressed he was without the coordinator and to not talk to him until the week of our wedding.
Come the Monday night before our Saturday wedding, the owner emails us introducing us to two new staff members taking over the day of coordination, as he was leaving the next day for a yoga retreat to Greece. He also mentioned that we needed to respond to him before he left for Greece after he'd blown us off for weeks.
Additionally he was also complaining to us about the other weddings and the staff member that was out on leave with months of notice. This was completely unprofessional. We also weren't allowed to contact the staff that were going to be running our wedding the day of, and were required to communicate with the owner only. Luckily he wasn't there the day of our wedding.
Regardless we made it the day of the wedding and things went mostly ok. The food was good, but there definitely was not enough of it at cocktail hour even though we'd asked multiple times before the date if there would be enough food. We had multiple guests come to us later and tell us they didn't get any food at cocktail hour.
We also had brought in a few crystal platters with traditional snacks for dessert. After the wedding we couldn't find one of the platters, and naturally asked the venue if they had it. They said they had put it in the bag with the rest of the platters and that we should have it. It was only after we found shards of glass did we realize that one of the staff broke the platter, removed it and never told us about it. They eventually compensated us for the platter but it was quite frustrating after everything.
In terms of the actual wedding, the food was good and the drinks were well made. However as the Groom, I had to chase after staff to ask for a drink, and asked multiple times for drinks that never came. A very frustrating experience. The DJ that is mandated at the venue was good the day of, but leading up to it was very dismissive of our song selections for the dancing, even implying he'd play whatever he wanted, even if it was on our do not play list.
Deity seems great on paper, but the organization and owner are a complete mess. Go somewhere else.

Having our wedding reception at Deity was absolutely the best choice we could have made. We selected them because we liked that they had a beautiful and unique space, offered an all-inclusive package, were very transparent about pricing and reasonably priced, and were open to our unique vision for a costume wedding party. Caio and Anna truly made our night special through their meticulous planning and advice, seamless day-of management, and by overall being very kind and sweet people to work with. We also loved in-house DJ Ben ha Meen who threw DOWN. We couldn’t have asked for the night to go more smoothly or for us and our guests to have more fun, and I couldn’t recommend Deity enough to other couples!

From the first moment we started planning our wedding in NYC, Deity was at the top of the list. They provide micro weddings, 50 guests or less, with all-inclusive pricing. They also include a basic decor package, but you can decorate it how you want, within their guidelines. I hired a lighting vendor to add fairly lights on the walls to complement Deity's light ceiling and brought in my own decor which they worked with my coordinator's team to assemble. This was totally optional, and Deity was very accommodating to our desires but that is not the best part.
The chef is amazing. He is so kind and took the time to explain the dishes and make changes for some of our guests with dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and in abundance, guests are still talking about it. I couldn't stop eating the steak and they kept giving it to me. Another part is their DJ kept everyone on the dance floor. He played every song we asked for and all the songs to match. We had to make people leave after the music was off. They were still having fun. All it takes is good food, drinks and good music for people to have a great time. Our guests enjoyed themselves and so did we.
The venue is beautiful and fit our theme perfectly. Moving thru the space was a bit tiring, as it is multi levels, but they helped everyone in need and kept the flow seamless. We knew there would be stairs and prepared our guest beforehand, but no one complained. My mom loved using the chair lift and was so happy they had it. We rented the loft space for both parties to get ready. It was a great addition to have everyone in one place before the wedding because Downtown Brooklyn traffic was insane that day, as usual. It was a great area for getting ready pics and of course, to get ready. The rooftop provided a great location for photos. This add-on really helped us have more wedding time because it was all in one location.
Our weeknight micro wedding was intimate, filled with love and Deity provided the laid back and fun atmosphere we wanted. Our guests loved the space and had many conversations about the stained-glass windows. Everyone on the Deity team was extremely friendly and helpful. They emailed promptly and accommodated all our needs without any issues. They were upfront with their fees. We would highly recommend.

I couldn’t have dreamed up a better wedding venue than Deity. The space is stunningly gorgeous and was perfectly sized for our 130-person guest count. Each level (the lounge, loft, and cellar) were expertly tailored to the events they hosted, and somehow comfortably accommodated all of our guests while still feeling cozy and intimate. The other aspects of the all-inclusive package were just as impressive – I don’t know that I’ve ever had better food and drinks at a wedding, and DJ Ben kept the dance floor packed the whole night. But what really sets Deity apart is the service of their staff. Caio and his team do a fantastic job from your first venue tour to the final wedding sendoff. They are transparent, communicative, efficient, and know how to throw one hell of a party. Each staff member that we encountered treated our wedding with such care and attention to detail, and we’ll never be able to thank them enough for the beautiful wedding they gave us.

Deity was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Anna and her team were clear, kind, and incredibly sweet in their communication. They kept everything running smoothly and on schedule, preventing any issues and ensuring our wedding was the smoothest I've ever attended. The space was gorgeous, highly organized, and truly unique - the space was transformed into a stunning, one-of-a-kind backdrop for our special day. The food was also delicious, and the chef was so gracious in accommodating our requests. We are beyond grateful to Anna and the entire Deity team for making our wedding day perfect in every way.

Our wedding at Deity Brooklyn in June 2024 was absolutely magical! I would 100% recommend Deity to anyone looking for a unique, all-inclusive wedding venue in NYC. From the up-front pricing information, to the first tour with Caio, to securing our date, coming in for a menu tasting and having our planning meeting with Anna and Kat - every step of the way reinforced my confidence that choosing Deity as our wedding venue was the right choice! The space is a beautiful historic building that's been converted to a four story (plus rooftop!) party venue. I loved that Deity provides all the dinnerware, linens and candles, it really limited the decisions we had to make so we could focus on personal touches for our day. We wanted our wedding to feel like an amazing house party, which Deity perfectly delivered. Anna was an incredible coordinator, so on top of everything and thoughtful. The day-of team ran everything so smoothly - I honestly wasn't stressed for a moment, because everyone was organized, calm and clearly loves what they do. The chef and DJ (part of the all-inclusive pricing!) were also amazing. Our guests are still raving about the delicious family-style dinner from the mind of Chef James; and how DJ BenHaMeen read the room and kept us dancing and singing until the wee hours of the morning. Literally, the best day ever. (Photos by Sarah Bode-Clark Photography)

My husband and I were looking for a high value, reasonably-priced venue in the Brookly area and we found it in DEITY. We were immediately impressed by DEITY wedding packages. We were able to find a package that best fit our vision and budget. It’s really hard to imagine that we could have gotten a better deal for our money anywhere else, especially when you consider that the tax is already baked in upfront without any hidden surprises.
DEITY is amazing, we couldn’t have picked a better venue for our small and intimate wedding. The whole staff was very friendly and very accommodating, Anna our event coordinator was always very helpful and guided us with any questions we had.
The food was excellent, the table setup was perfect with the family style setting. The Chef was so hospitable, he stopped by to make sure we were pleased with the food.
The bottom line is, on the day of our event, DEITY showed up and executed flawlessly, from the decor, to the food, to the event management. We have been getting non-stop compliments from our friends and family about how awesome the wedding was and how much fun they had. Can’t thank the team from DEITY enough for making our day so memorable. If we had to choose DEITY time and time again, we unequivocally will!

Amazing!!!!! We had our wedding at Deity on June 21, 2024. We are not exaggerating when we say it exceeded our wildest dreams. We chose Deity because we wanted a very Brooklyn vibe to our whole day, and you just can’t beat this space: the exposed brick, the lighting, the vintage feel of the bridal suite, the speakeasy-like atmosphere of the cellar, and the gorgeous building were exactly what we wanted. And then we met the staff. We could write a book about the people who work and run Deity; they made our day. Anna and Caio radiate love of love, and they are clearly committed to making weddings magical. We were so calm on the day of our wedding thanks to them. Every single person on the staff was thoughtful, personable, kind, and professional. The guests raved about the staff, the food (the food!!! Omg delicious!), the space, the DJ (Ben was awesome!), and the bartenders. Our wedding felt seamless and we actually got to enjoy every moment. We’d say the bridal suite is a must; it’s gorgeous and it added so much to the day to get ready there and have a first look. We faced a heat wave, so we barely used the rooftop, but it was lovely to go up there for photos. We did a tasting of the food beforehand and were so impressed, and it tasted even better day-of. The chef also surprised us with an epic cheese and fruit platter in addition to the appetizers during cocktail hour, and our guests loved it. Anna, the day-of coordinator, and Anastasia both took really good care of us. They built in moments for us to have alone time, helped us with our clothes and belongings, and kept everything moving smoothly. The pricing, as advertised, is transparent and there are no hidden fees. It was a really affordable wedding for New York and for us, and we appreciated that we were able to budget for it from the start with no surprises. We’d get married here 100 more times if we could, it was that good! Thank you, Deity, for an unforgettable experience. You are all in our hearts forever.

Had a wonderful micro wedding at Deity. The venue is beautiful, the food was incredible and most importantly the staff was a joy to work with. Planning a wedding is daunting, and they made it so easy. Aside from the cake, the photographer and the officiant, they took care of EVERYTHING making it a wonderful stress-free experience. Our wedding guests were so impressed and had a blast. I will definitely be recommending Deity to those in need of an event space in NYC.

The venue is beautiful and very accommodating. Anna (the coordinator) was amazing--she walked us through schedule, timing and the plan for the day and thought about any special accommodations and preferences we had. We were looking for a stress-free wedding and Deity definitely delivered. Everything ran smoothly and exactly the way we hoped. Would be happy to have any event there.

We had a wonderful experience at Deity for our wedding. They were very organized, had great recommendations for the handful of external vendors we used, and were professional throughout our interaction. The space worked great for our 80 person wedding. There was plenty of space for our guests and we heard raving reviews about the food & cocktails.
Additionally, with my mother being in a wheelchair, they were extremely accommodating and had the necessary facilities to help her navigate the event without any issues. Overall, guests loved the intimate feeling of the space, great food, great dj, great bar, everything. Would recommend if you're considering a wedding in Brooklyn!

We held our reception here in February and can't speak highly enough of this place and the staff. Given all the stress we were under with folks traveling from out of town and just generally planning a wedding, we needed a venue that could simply our planning. Deity fit the bill and delivered. They handled all the major elements of the reception so we could focus on our guests and on having a great time.
Deity's coordinator, Anna, was a godsend and made sure everything went off without a hitch. 10/10 would wed there again.

We cannot recommend Deity enough! We had our wedding there in April 2024 and had the most beautiful and perfect day. From our first inquiry to the end of our wedding, we felt taken care of. They are very transparent about their pricing and how the day is planned. Anna, the main coordinator, was incredibly communicative and managed the whole day perfectly. Deity takes care of everything except for photography and flowers and it made everything run smoothly. The service was incredible and you can tell that they work together full time and know how to put on a wonderful event. Each staff member was friendly and helpful and took great care of us and our guests.
The space is stunning! We loved that each floor served a different purpose. We also paid extra for the getting ready suite which is gorgeous. There is so much space and we loved the suite and the rooftop.
The food was amazing! We are still hearing from guests that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Our DJ, Ben, was awesome! He understood exactly what we wanted music wise and the energy was high until the very last song.
We are so happy we had our wedding at Deity! We wish we would do the day all over again. We are so grateful to the entire team at Deity for bringing our dream wedding come to life!

We chose Deity for our wedding venue April 2024 and have no regrets. We knew we wanted a Brooklyn vibe with low stress and Deity delivered. Both Caio (the owner) and Anna (event coordinator) are super easy to work with and are very responsive to all questions and needs. They make the bride and groom feel like royalty.
If you are someone more low key and you do not want to obsess about every detail of your wedding, then Deity is the venue for you. They make everything very easy for the couple. Basically everything except a photographer, flowers, and cake is provided for you by Deity and part of the all inclusive price. We saw the venue once, booked a date, had only one planning meeting and some emails with Anna, then everything went smoothly the day of. Deity is honestly already naturally beautiful so not much extra decoration and prep is needed (all we brought in were rented silk flowers for the arch, bud vases for the tables, and late night taco Bell for the partiers).
We did opt to pay extra for the upstairs Suite and it was worth it. The suite is a good place for pictures and it minimizes stress on the day of as you can keep all your stuff in there and the staff packs up everything for you at the end of the night. It was also super nice to have a moment of quiet in the suite after the ceremony where they served you appetizers privately.
Overall, very happy with our choice of Deity as our wedding venue and no regrets!

This past April, my husband and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at Deity, and it was a beautiful, life-changing experience. We came into the wedding planning process with fears and anxieties, and were immediately soothed by Anna's capable and personalized care. Throughout the months of planning, Anna was our rock and helped us plan, prepare and coordinate, even making better suggestions when we came up with odd requests. Not only did we feel engaged and comfortable, we also felt respected as individuals and supported as a LGTBQ couple. On the day of the wedding, our anxieties gave way to excitement, optimism, and pure love and joy as the Deity team led a beautifully choreographed day + evening for us, our family, and friends, from working with our vendors, to keeping a solid schedule, to serving incredible food, to incorporating the complexities of our diverse cultural backgrounds. Words can't express how thankful we are to Anna, Caio, Kat, Anastasia, BenHamin, and all others at Deity. Thank you.

Deity was an amazing venue for our small (under 80 people) wedding! We were floored by the exceptional service the hosts and staff provided from beginning our wedding planning through to our big day. Deity hosts and staff were beyond superb in providing top-quality service and hospitality. The food was the best food that I have ever had the pleasure of eating at any weddings and they truly made wedding planning easy, smooth, and very manageable. I couldn't recommend Deity for any type of venue enough! Thank you so much, Deity, for making our wedding day so special and that much more memorable!

You generally only get one wedding, which means going into the day without knowing about a lot of the tiny details that go into making a wedding run smoothly. You do the research, you read the blogs, you study your friends' weddings and get tons of advice, but still you don't know what it's really like. The staff at Deity do--they do this every day. I could write about how great the space is, how much fun everyone had, and how reasonable the price was, and I'll get to all of that, but I want to emphasize what the pictures can't. Our wedding day ran smoothly and comfortably for us and our guests, and it's due to the staff at Deity. They anticipated our needs, gave us lots of helpful advice in both the planning stages and the day of, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding we wanted. Anna, the coordinator, answered my endless emails and asked even more questions that hadn't occurred to me, and on the day of she handled everything so seamlessly I actually got to enjoy myself; Caio, the owner, gave our officiant (my brother) tips about when to move the mic for the smoothest possible ceremony, and made sure my train looked perfect right when I first stepped out into the aisle; and none of the staff batted an eye when I came down an hour before the guests were arriving to say I needed help hiding clues for a scavenger hunt that I had not told them I was planning. They made sure my husband and I got something to eat and a quiet moment to ourselves, they helped us load an Uber at almost midnight on a Sunday with all the stuff we'd brought. They made the whole day feel seamless and fun, and I cannot thank them enough.
Also, so many of my guests made a point to tell me how good the food was. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about committing to the in-house catering without a tasting (we were lucky enough to get a sample from Chef James on our initial tour), but my fears were entirely unfounded. The passed appetizers were genuinely amazing, and the food served at the family-style dinner was tasty and actually hot, which I feel like is rare amongst weddings I've been to. They also were very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions, including coordinating an order from a restaurant for a celiac guest, whom their kitchen wasn't equipped to serve. The bar was also great, helped us come up with custom cocktails, and there was cocktail service everywhere, including on the dance floor. When I factored in the food and drink to the total cost we paid for Deity, it's also a really good deal, compared to other local catering options!
I won't say too much about the space because you can see it in the pictures and judge the vibe for yourself on a tour. But I will say that having different spaces for the different parts of the event was great, and having the suite for getting ready (and for retreating to when we needed a moment) was a godsend--not to mention wonderful for our photos! Sunset skyine photos without leaving the venue? Don't mind if I do! The location was great for both our in town guests, and those staying at nearby hotels.
If you like the look of Deity, don't hesitate. I hope your wedding there turns out just as wonderful as ours!

We just had our wedding at Deity in April 2024 and couldn’t be happier with how our special day went!
The planning process: After we toured the venue, we knew Deity was special. The pricing was very transparent and super reasonable considering everything that’s included – the venue (lounge, loft, and basement), day-of coordinator, food, $50 bar credit pp, basic décor package, and DJ. The space is gorgeous and so unique, unlike any other venue we’ve attended as guests or toured. Each floor has a purpose and accompanying vibe to match – the bridal suite is relaxing and picturesque (highly recommend adding this to your day for an added cost), the cocktail lounge is dreamy, the ceremony loft (and dinner space) is bright yet cozy, and the basement dance floor is funky and fun. Because the venue was already beautifully designed and all inclusive, the only things we needed to provide for the ceremony/reception were signage (welcome, table arrangements, his/her drinks), minimal décor/flowers (we hired a florist for the ceremony arch and did bud vases for the tables and they turned out beautiful), and dessert. Some (including me) may be nervous about all-inclusive venues, however Deity was so accommodating to the little ways in which we wanted to make our wedding unique, such as incorporating cultural outfit changes into the schedule to setting up a late-night instant noodle bar. Finally, Anna, the coordinator included with the venue, was a godsend. She made the whole wedding planning process so much easier, patiently answered all my random questions, and provided guidance where needed.
The day of: Our family and friends were blown away by the bridal suite. We were relaxed the whole morning while getting ready and got some beautiful photos to start off the day. Once the day started rolling, Anna and the whole Deity team were on top of everything. They made sure everyone was on schedule but also were flexible with last minute changes, even making sure my husband and I had private moments to ourselves. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had so many guests compliment the cocktail hour bites and dinner service, even our very picky grandma said it was the best salmon she’s ever had. The drinks were flowing and we had guests commenting on how drink service on the dance floor was genius – everyone could continue dancing and no one was ever waiting with an empty glass. Also, my husband and I were initially nervous about an in-house DJ because we are very picky with music but DJ BenHaMeen was amazing, listened to our wants and needs, and kept the dance floor lively (our photographer even complimented the music!).
All in all, we cannot recommend Deity enough. Our guests are still asking if we can have a wedding there every year (we wish!).

We recently got married at Deity in November 2023, and we couldn't be happier with the entire day – it was perfect! From start, when we first visited the venue in December 2022, to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, and we wanted to share our thoughts and gratitude.
The venue itself is simply breathtaking. The moment we stepped into Deity, you could tell it holds so much unique charm and elegance. The space comes already beautifully designed, which was helpful as we did not need tons of floral arrangements/extra decorations. We were thrilled to receive countless compliments from our guests about the ambiance, and the different floors really gave the whole night a special type of vibe. The stairs were not a problem for our guests.
The food at Deity was outstanding. From the initial food tasting to the reception, every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We received numerous compliments from our friends and family about the quality and variety of the menu.
A special shout out is for the bridal suite – the top floor area that we reserved for the entire day. We cannot understate how great this space was – we spent literally all day there, starting at 10am, for getting ready, photos, etc. It is so perfect and everything you need!
We also want to give a special shoutout to the DJ BenHaMeen who absolutely crushed the music throughout the whole evening. The energy and enthusiasm translated onto the dance floor and our guests had an incredible time dancing the night away, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Lastly, we want to express our appreciation to Anna, the onsite coordinator at Deity. Anna's professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication made the entire wedding planning process so much more manageable. She was always available to answer our questions and provide guidance. Thank you, Anna!
Truly – our wedding at Deity was an absolute dream come true. It had everything we were looking for – in NYC, inclusive and with character. We highly recommend Deity to any couple looking for a wedding venue that exceeds expectations in every way.

Deity was the perfect spot for our non-traditional dark, romantic Friday the 13th October queer wedding! So much about the space and the team there really allows you do only the amount of DIY that YOU want to do, and filling in all the gaps for anything you DON'T.
The space itself has beautiful character while still leaving plenty of room for your own personal vibe, and even if you brought literally nothing in it would photograph and feel beautiful. We did NOT do that- we had a huge design dream, and Anna and her team worked with us to make it happen and it was so beautiful! (I will say- keep it simpler than we did lol. Loading out that massive install ON the day was the only big bummer!!)
In terms of food and bar- I worked in hospitality for a long time, so REALLY appreciated the ability to choose between an open bar or a consumption tab. Those open bar tabs are usually PADDED, and this transparency and choice was great. Our guests were all super impressed with the food- so much better than what you normally get at a catered wedding reception. Do the family style option! And again, they had everything set up to totally handle specialty cocktail menus, or are willing to let you come up with your own.
The getting ready suite is an absolute MUST. SO MUCH SPACE, so many photo ops, and a HOT TUB?! Yes please.
Anna and Caio are absolute pros and made our whole process really, really fun. I got sad when it was over mostly cause it meant I wasn't gonna see them until I could come up with another excuse to throw a party there!

Devastating. We had our wedding here and after a year of meticulous planning, excitement and no small expenditure, they simply didn’t provide enough food to go around the table, (and yes, we gave them an exact count and paid per person in advance). They serve family style, and there just was not enough, from the bowl of salad for a table of 12 that was the size of a salad for three or four people to the salmon and short ribs that ran out bu the time the skimpy “family style” serving platter went around the table. When we asked for more we were told we had ‘exceeded our quota’! It was so embarrassing and we can never get this day back. They skimped on h’ors d’oeuvres too, and didn’t have enough bartenders so people waited forever for drinks. Anna was great and very organized but she obviously doesn’t control this (very important!) part of the event. I imagine the owners increase their profit line significantly this way, at the cost of a couple’s very special day. By the time we found this out it was obviously too late, so I want to warn others.

We had a great experience with Deity - planning was easy and the staff was very helpful and communicative. The wedding day was totally stress-free for us because they took care of everything, and our guests all told us they had a blast and felt it was a deeply thoughtful event. We were also very pleased about how great the food was, and really appreciated that the team was accommodating in terms of dietary restrictions for our guests - plus, they made sure we had time to eat on the wedding day! We’d unreservedly recommend Deity to any couple looking for an affordable and low-stress venue that doesn’t feel like it cuts any corners in terms of creating a fun and special event.

We got married in Deity in late October and it was the perfect venue for our celebration! When we first saw the venue, we fell in love with the uniqueness of the venue, the perfect location for access, the history of the building, and the multiple floors. Each floor has a unique vibe, and looks gorgeous! Most importantly, we met Anna and she was fantastic! We decided immediately that we needed to book this spot for our wedding. Anna was IMMENSELY helpful in the planning process and answered all our questions patiently, recommended vendors, and provided great guidance overall. Our wedding was a Hindu ceremony and this was the first time Deity was hosting a Hindu ceremony. Anna was extremely accommodating of the various needs and traditions. The tasting was also professional, and we loved the bartender’s special creations for us (I still think of that drink!). Prices-wise, Deity is so upfront about all the costs and everything is extremely reasonable for their quality of the service. I absolutely love the all-inclusive packages – it makes everything so much easier to navigate in a world of crazy wedding prices!
On the day off, we got the suite to get ready in – and I highly highly recommend getting that suite. It’s CLUTCH to have that space to get ready in with the wedding party, and it is ENORMOUS - we had 15 people and they were all super comfortable. It also makes for extremely cute photos! Once the wedding started, Anna and Emily took over everything and treated us like royalty - no one bothered us for a single detail and everything we had thought of was taken care of! I was a bit worried about moving folks up and down the multiple floors, but the Deity team are pros and know how to handle a crowd - even a boisterous Indian one! People still come up to me and share how much they loved the venue, the drinks, and are in awe of the Deity team and their immense professionalism.
If you are looking for a unique, beautiful venue to host your wedding, don’t hesitate to book Deity! I promise you won’t regret it!

Deity was the most perfect venue to host our special day! From the very beginning of planning, they made it so easy for us. They took care of much of the decor, music, lighting, seating, catering and more! Anna was a rockstar, answering all our questions, emails and video chats before the big day. Even making sure everything ran smoothly the day-of. Emily was also so incredibly helpful on our big day and even went out of her way to help pin up my dress for me after the ceremony. The venue itself has so many picturesque features, we didn’t even need to leave the gorgeous bridal suite to capture most of our amazing photos. Finally, from our hand picked appetizers to the delicious dinner service, all of the food was incredible! Our favorite part was being privately served the appetizers and signature drinks in the suite after our ceremony. The staff at Deity made us feel like celebrities on our most special day, I couldn’t have imagined it being any more perfect!

My wife and I got married at Deity earlier this year, and we are so lucky to have found this venue! The entire experience was an A+ from start to finish.
What makes Deity so effective is in how it utilizes its space. Each floor serves a distinct purpose that flowed remarkably well for the reception - dance floor in the basement, cocktail area on the 1st floor, reception and dinner on the 2nd floor, and bridal suite / rooftop on the top floors. And we completely loved the rustic vibes coming from the exposed brick, which was prominently featured throughout the building. And last but not least, the entire staff was incredibly attentive and amiable, which encouraged us to ask questions and make requests.
A special shoutout goes to Anna - she was instrumental to making our day a complete success. Even when we needed to make last minute changes to the seating chart, she was kind and reassuring. There was no challenge too daunting for her; her poise and confidence put us at ease, both during the wedding planning and on the wedding day itself.
Thank you Deity for making our wedding day such a memorable day. You turned our vision into a reality and we couldn’t have pictured our wedding any differently!

My wife and I had our wedding at Deity on 11/11/23 and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were looking for a unique, warm space to have an intimate micro wedding. We live in Boston so a beautiful venue, affordability, ease, and convenience were high priority for us. Deity brought all that and more. The space is absolutely stunning, we barely had to add any extra decor. The setup was great as different parts of the wedding were on different floors so it never felt like we were in the same space all day. And the BRIDAL SUITE?! Absolutely phenomenal and made getting ready for the day super convenient. We even did our first look photos there because we were in love with the look of it and the sunlight coming through. After our ceremony we did some couple shots on the roof that were so greatz
The micro wedding package we chose was perfect for us. Ceremony, reception, food & drinks, basic decor like candles, and the DJ were included. The food was delicious and our guests LOVED the family style setup as everyone was able to try everything and serve themselves just the amount they wanted. Because we were so small we kept our reception on the main floor as opposed to adding the cellar. The main floor was great as it was spacious and everyone had room dance, sit, and chat with ease.
As for the staff, they were fantastic. Everything went smoothly and they were so keen on making sure my wife and I were taken care of the whole night. One of my big concerns was for my Grandma who sometimes has trouble walking and the shuffling between two floors was concerning. But Deity was on it, they kept the stair lift ready for her at all times and made sure she was given priority time and space to move around before the other guests. At the end of the reception, the staff packed up all our belongings and had it ready for us to take out the space so we could enjoy the entire reception with our guests.
Last but honestly most important, Anna. Anna was amazing to us. From the first FaceTime meeting she was kind, straight forward, detailed, and excited for us. I’ve never planned or seen a wedding be planned before, so I was struggling with what to do. Anna thought of everything. She assisted with timelines, payment reminders, streamlining decor, making suggestions for things I didn’t think about, and answered any question I had. She even assisted with setting up our after party at Someday Bar next door, which worked out perfectly. Anna was so easy to work with and accommodated me during the limited in person visits I could make. I can’t imagine not having her to assist us with our wedding. She truly made the Deity experience top notch.
Deity provided us with an absolutely beautiful wedding. We did not have the overwhelming stress, worries, or mishaps that we have heard usually occur with planning a wedding. Deity made it seamless so we could just enjoy the process and our day. We recommend to the highest degree. THANK YOU, DEITY! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to share about our experience at Deity! We were so happy with our choice to have our wedding at Deity and from the very first moment we stepped foot in the space, we knew it was the right place for us. Deity is unlike any venue I have ever been at because of the four floors and nearly all inclusive and transparent pricing. I had made a massive spreadsheet trying to cost everything out at other venues during the research stage and was shocked by how challenging it was to even figure out how much things cost at other places. With Deity, the pricing structure is clear and transparent so you don't have surprises down the line.
One thing we LOVED about the venue was the four different floors (we rented the bridal suite- no regrets!!). Every floor had its own character, offering diverse settings that catered perfectly to different aspects of our celebration. Whether it was the lovely ceremony and dinner space, the rooftop terrace for photos, the intimate lounge for cocktails, or the lively basement dance floor (complete with disco ball)—each space contributed to making our day truly magical.
Let's talk about the food—they knocked it out of the park! We have had too many experiences at weddings with cold, flavorless chicken breasts so we really wanted to find a venue that takes food as seriously as we do. The fact that Deity has food as a part of the package is not only helpful logistically (not managing a million vendors) but it was truly exquisite. The appetizers were amazing- so many great options all excellently executed and the dinner was incredible. Everyone commented that this was the best wedding food they had ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly- I don't even know how you do that for a large event, and the mac and cheese was a crowd favorite. Additionally, the bar was excellent- we loved our signature cocktails!
Now, let's highlight the stars of the show—the incredibly attentive staff. Anna, in particular, was an absolute gem! Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication made a world of difference. From the planning stages to the execution on the big day, Anna went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. Her attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel truly special.
Our wedding day was more than we could have ever imagined, and a significant part of that is owed to the venue and its exceptional team. They turned our dreams into reality, creating an unforgettable experience not just for us but for all our guests.
We can't recommend this venue highly enough. Deity—with Anna and the whole team—is a no-brainer!

People always say that wedding planning is stressful. And as a November 2023 newlywed, I can confidently say that is NOT the case when getting married at Deity. First of all, Deity has everything in one place, with no extra fees. Your staff, catering, bar, DJ (!!!), rentals, and the BEST day-of coordinator that you can ever imagine (shout out to Anna) are all included, not to mention top-tier.
Anna made this process exciting and easy. We met leading up to the wedding and she talked us through the entire schedule and ensured we were prepared to make every decision about the day. Then, in the last weeks before the wedding, I'd ask her about a specific detail or addition and she said yes right away to each request and executed them flawlessly. We wanted black table cloths for the cocktail hour? Yes, done. We wanted to add a scent to the room with reed diffusers? She'd set them up, prioritizing the spaces we were most excited about.
And on the day of the wedding, we felt so calm. Anna handled everything, from moving people's dinner seating around at the last minute, to supporting my elder, less mobile relatives throughout the evening so my family didn't have to. She was with us for rehearsal and helped my friend, a first-time officiant, feel supported and prepared to lead every part of the ceremony. She made sure all the borrowed items got back to their original owners so I didn't have to. She got us water on the dance floor throughout the night. I have never been so taken care of.
And of COURSE you're booking because Deity is beautiful. We got SO many compliments on the space, on the food, on everything. It really was the most perfect day of our lives, and we could not have pulled it off without such professionals. Thank you to Anna and Caio and the entire Deity team for a day we'll never forget.
PS. book the bridal suite. Nothing like getting ready with your loved ones in such a bright beautiful space.

This venue easily blew our minds. From the venue itself, package deals they have, to the wonderful staff. It was incredible from start to finish. Looking forward to a place to get married isn’t fun but Deity made it easy. Our coordinator Anna was fantastic at guiding us throughout the whole process. We loved her. How can we forget the chef who supplied us and our families beautiful dishes for our big day! HIGHLY recommend this beautiful place!

I cannot say enough positive things about our wedding experience here. We got married a week ago and I’m still on cloud nine. The venue is beautiful and it’s so nice to have everything happening in one building but still with a change of scenery. The roof is great for pictures and a first look, and the loft is beautiful with all the little lights. The basement makes the reception feel very separate in a good way, and I think all the changes in scenery made the day feel longer. The venue also feels very Brooklyn, which we loved.
I will note the stairs to the basement reception space can be a bit of a challenge for older guests, but the staff was helpful in providing assistance and this didn’t end up being a problem for our older guests, including one in a walker. There is a chairlift between the ground floor cocktail lounge and loft ceremony space, but if someone really can’t navigate stairs at all, the reception space won’t be accessible for them.
It’s so helpful to have everything included with the venue so you don’t have to coordinate a bunch of vendors. We also had severe allergies that we had to accommodate for the groom and several guests, which Deity was incredibly understanding and accommodating of. The space is nice enough that you don’t really need florals (aside from maybe a few things to decorate the geometric arch in the loft) or decor—the included linens look great and the included candles feel cozy and cohesive. It’s also nice not to have to worry about tips for the staff, as it’s all included in the total. The only thing to be aware of is the additional bar charge—it can get a bit pricey if you do a full open bar and cover that tab, but you can also opt for a cash bar and have your guests pay.
The Deity team is so helpful and answered all of our questions beforehand with patience. The day of coordinators keep things running so smoothly throughout the day, and once we started I didn’t feel like we had to be in charge of anything. Anna and Emily told us where to be, worked with our photographer so we could get all the shots we wanted, and would grab us if we were needed
If it’s in your budget I would recommend renting the bridal suite, because it’s so helpful to be able to get ready at the venue and things feel less rushed. It’s also gorgeous, the lighting is fantastic, and you can get some really great shots.
The drinks were great and the food was excellent, and we loved that they set aside some time during cocktail hour for us to eat together, get some one-on-one time, and make sure we had all the hors d’oeuvres. Family style was great, so that everyone got to try both entree options. I just wish we could have taken home the leftovers, and that cocktail hour was like a half hour longer.
Overall I would highly recommend this venue, as long as your guests can navigate stairs with some help.
TL;DR: The inclusive nature of the venue alleviates a lot of the work you might otherwise have to do planning a wedding, and while it's not cheap I do think it helps the booking remain in your budget without costs ballooning out of control. Nearly every single guest we’ve spoken to after the wedding has told us we had the most beautiful, efficiently-run wedding they have ever attended, with the best food they've had at a wedding.
