We had a beautiful, fairytale of a wedding at Deity! They were very accommodating and get this, DOG FRIENDLY! We were able to make our pup a key part of our ceremony. The venue is beautiful, the food was fantastic. Just overall, perfect.

s to make your wedding day as great as possible. To start, the team at Deity makes the whole wedding planning process enjoyable. This venue provides so much, which makes the process of choosing vendors way less stressful. It’s so affordable for all you get. Catering, some decor, and a DJ are all included in the price. The best inclusion was our wedding coordinator, Anna. She made the process so easy and was one of the best people to have around on our wedding day. She was our main point of contact leading up to the wedding, and she answered all of our questions and gave amazing suggestions. Anna is the main reason the planning process was enjoyable. There was a moment right before our ceremony where the bridal suite was a pretty hectic with people, and Anna suggested we move everyone downstairs to take 10 minutes to ourselves before we really start the night. It was such a great suggestion, and we really needed those 10 minutes. We also got 15 minutes to ourselves during cocktail hour to sit and eat all the apps we picked. These little moments ended up being so special and helped us slow down to take in the night. Moreover, the space is so unique and beautiful. The different floors gave each part of the night its own special feeling. Getting ready and having the bridal suite in the morning was phenomenal. It is such a gorgeous area for getting ready pictures, and had ample space for my fairly large bridal party. There was one point of the day where me and my bridesmaids laid in the bed with iced coffee…. A much needed moment you couldn’t get anywhere else lol! And the roof was PERFECT for a first look. I can’t wait to see our pictures in all the unique spaces. I was a little nervous leading up to the wedding about having to move our 100+ guests between floors, but it went with ease!! The staff made sure to get the names of guests who may need extra time moving through the spaces and gave them just that. Our guests actually ended up really enjoying this element of the venue and kept saying it was unlike any wedding they’ve been to. We also LOVED that moving to the cellar to party gave people who wouldn’t normally leave their table the chance to actually be up and participate. Most importantly, the food!! And the drinks!!! We still talk about our tasting LOL. Seriously, we were able to try 33 things at our tasting, and everything was so fantastic. It made it hard to choose for the actual wedding day. I’ve heard that lots of couples don’t even get the chance to eat on their wedding day… not us! We were able to enjoy every single thing we ordered. We also made signature drinks and one of them was the bartender’s own creation, which was amazing. Our guests loved the food and the fact that it was served family style so everyone could have some of everything. Overall, we are so SO happy with how our wedding turned out, and a lot of that we owe to the team at Deity. We cannot recommend them enough. We cannot thank them enough!

r date during our initial tour. From that moment on, Anna was our contact and she was so easy and wonderful to work with. We had countless emails back and forth over these last few months and she was always so kind and professional. Then our wedding day came and I was just honestly so blown away! I had already liked Anna but after our wedding it’s now love! Anna and the staff were absolutely amazing at every single part of a very busy day. She made sure we had everything we needed in the right place for the reception/ceremony, things no one else remembered. I would look for something and it was already set up and done! She and the rest of the staff made the day absolutely seamless and so stress free. The food was so delicious, we received so many compliments on both the cocktail hour and dinner. Even our photographer who’s done over 50 weddings there said the food was the best he’s had there to date. Everything was packed up so neatly for us to take home at the end of the night. I had mentioned maybe changing into another dress for the reception and when I decided it was time my second dress and shoes were already waiting for me ready to go. Anna even bustled my dress for me after the ceremony! By that point she felt like part of our wedding party! The suite/roof really added to our experience that day too. It was such a roomy and beautiful space for our whole family to get ready and spend time together. We got so many great pictures on the roof with the city skyline. It ended up being a beautiful day but in the weeks leading up to our big day weather was not really a concern of ours being that everything is inside. Our guests loved the space and how unique and beautiful it looked. Moving to different rooms really creates different vibes throughout the night. I really can’t say enough good things about the space and the staff!!! It could not have gone any better! It really was the best day and I have everyone there to thank for that. 1000000/10!

y marries elegance with charm, creating an ambiance that's both intimate and grand. Every corner, every detail, whispered tales of love and celebration, making it the perfect backdrop for our special day. But what truly set our experience apart was the staff. Their dedication to ensuring our day was nothing short of perfect was evident in every gesture, every smile. And at the heart of this incredible team was Anna. As our coordinator, Anna was nothing short of a fairy godmother. With a meticulous eye for detail and a passion that's palpable, she orchestrated an evening that was seamless and unforgettable. Every moment flowed into the next, allowing us to be present and soak in the love and joy that surrounded us. Now, let's talk about the life of the party - DJ Jamal. If you're looking for someone to elevate your event, look no further. His impeccable taste in music, coupled with his ability to read the room, ensured that our guests were on their feet all night long. From timeless Latin classics to Hip Hop hits, and of course hitting every point on our music wish list. Jamal's set had something for everyone. We can't recommend him highly enough! And of course, what's a celebration without delectable food and drinks? Deity truly outdid themselves. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, tantalizing our taste buds and leaving us craving for more. The drinks, crafted to perfection, were the cherry on top of an already sumptuous feast. If you're on the hunt for a wedding venue that offers not just a beautiful space but also an experience, Deity is the place to be. With a team that's as passionate as they are skilled, and offerings that are high-level tasty, your special day is bound to be everything you've dreamed of and more. Thank you, Deity, for making our wedding day truly magical. We couldn't have asked for a better place to start our forever.

y walked by it dozens of times and never knew it was an event space), but then had so much charm and possibility when you entered. Anna, the coordinator extraordinaire, was such a pleasure to work with and truly made the planning process painless. Anna always exhibited happy patience and flexibility while fielding all of our questions over email or phone as we put together the event. Her recommendations for local vendors were excellent and she made us feel like we were doing great, even when we felt there were too many details still left to finalize. And, although the space doesn't need any additional décor, Anna collaborated with us to add some small extra special touches that we wanted to incorporate that brought our vision of the special day to life. Deity also provided a delicious food selection and amazing staff for our event. We opted for a standing cocktail style dinner to facilitate chances for folks to mingle and celebrate together. The staff was attentive and made sure everyone got an opportunity to try everything. And the chefs created delightful additions, which of course cemented the rave reviews from our guests about the food and drinks. In the days that followed the wedding, we heard consistently from our guests how we “threw one hell of a party". For any folks looking to host their event at Deity, we cannot provide higher praises. If your event would benefit from using the suite upstairs or the rooftop, you should do both. We did and have no regrets, even though the weather only gave us a small window to use the roof. The suite was the perfect place for our family and friends to hang out together before the festivities began (which ensured that all of the ladies in the wedding didn't have to worry about messing up their hair in the rain) and some of our best pictures came together in that brief window of sunlight on the roof. Caio (the owner of Deity) and Anna were a pleasure to work with. Collaborating with great people who want your event to go off as perfectly as you do makes the whole endeavor of planning a million little details so much easier. Deity was the only venue we saw that was 100% transparent about their pricing. There were no surprise charges and fewer moving parts for us to worry about. Which, at the end of the day, just made our decision to work with this amazing team the second best one behind saying yes.

ot looking for a typical catering hall wedding venue, and no other place we visited came close to Deity. Anna, the wedding coordinator, was simply incredible. She is fantastic at helping brides, grooms, and everyone in-between create their visions. She answered every email I sent and every request I suggested. The food tasting we had at Deity was nothing short of terrific, and the food the day-of was no different. We chose the family-style dining and it was a huge hit with our guests - everyone was able to try a little bit of this and that. Dessert was not included, which was fine for us. Deity offers a DJ at no additional cost, a vendor they have worked with many times in the past. As we got closer to the wedding, we felt a little bit nervous about this. However, we were wildly impressed with Ben - he definitely picked up on the music we were looking for. I would pay for his DJ services independently, outside of Deity... that's how much we liked him! The bridal suite is absolutely beautiful. Though it is not included in the pricing of the venue, we felt it was worth paying for (especially for pictures, hair, and makeup). I do wish Deity would permit the couple and bridal party to use the suite for the duration of the night, since it's a cost the couple opts to pay additionally for. We had 117 guests attend, but felt 100 would better suit the venue for space reasons. It's worth mentioning that while we were venue shopping, we felt like there were costs for every little thing. Deity does not surprise you with costs; there were NO hidden secrets, unexpected surprises, or add-ons for every aspect of a wedding where it becomes overwhelming. The costs that we received in December 2021 were the costs that we paid in May 2022. I wish we could do this day over again and again for an eternity. Thank you to the Deity staff that made it all possible!

ot disappointed. We knew we were going to have a small wedding with a bit of a complicated intercultural ceremony. Anna worked patiently with us for months to pin down every moment of the day. It was also very easy to plan using their recommended vendors (Stonefruit Botanical and Le Image), since they were already familiar with the space. We made so many precious memories on the day-of — despite the torrential rain! The ceremony went perfectly, the food and drinks and dancing were great, and our guests had a fabulous time. The two of us had a lot of fun, too We were a bit sad that the rain stopped us from taking pictures on the rooftop. But later in the night, Anna noticed that the rain had let up, and took us up for some portraits. That was so thoughtful! She also made sure we had a private moment after the ceremony to eat and catch our breaths, which felt magical after such a whirlwind of an evening. Overall it was an amazing experience. We are deeply grateful to Anna and the whole team for giving us such a beautiful day. We highly recommend Deity!

d after watching the video on the website, we filed an inquiry to learn more. Shortly thereafter, we received a very detailed but easy-to-understand FAQ from Anna which featured transparent pricing and honestly answered most questions we had relating to event logistics and sample menus. We enjoyed the tour of Deity that Anna held for us, and talked though further details as to how our wedding day could be handled. Seeing the unique industrial chic aesthetic - modern but elegant - and the novel idea of having different parts of the night move throughout the different rooms to keep the party energy flowing really clicked with us. The space seemed like the right size for our wedding - we were estimating about 110-120 people - and the accommodations that could be made for attendees with mobility issues were also helpful. Deity was the first and only venue we toured, as we realized it was a perfect fit for us. We also appreciated having easy access to multiple transit options (as many of our guests were traveling to New York without cars) and a location that was easy to reach after the ceremony at our church located in another neighborhood of Brooklyn. Another facet that piqued our interest was the approved vendor list which helped us minimize having to search for vendors on our own (and they already knew how to work well with Deity). We eagerly returned to the venue for the menu tasting event and enjoyed being able to fine-tune both our food and beverage choices for our special day. It was also appreciated that the menu had a variety of flavors and cuisine styles to appeal to many different palettes, and Anna assured us that guests who had dietary restrictions would be taken care of accordingly. Everything was handled professionally, warmly, seamlessly, and genuinely; we didn’t feel like it was a “business” but felt as if we were being treated like part of the Deity family. Loading in our various items on the day before our wedding such as the seating chart, photos, favors, and cookies, was handled quickly and efficiently; loading out on the night of went just as smoothly (everything was so neatly repackaged). On our wedding day, Anna was on-site to supervise and handle anything that came up - from helping Jennifer with an issue with her dress, to making sure that we both were hydrated, fed, and as calm as we could be (a wedding day can be a little stressful). Anna and her team went above and beyond, even paying attention to details that we didn’t even think to account for, such as moving flower arrangements around. The DJ clicked immediately with the vibe of most of the people on the dance floor (who were primarily in their 30s and 40s) and all enjoyed the diverse mix of music we heard. At the same time, other guests who wanted a quieter time or just wanted to go talk for a while were able to hang out in the upstairs lounge but not feel left out from the party. Our guests informed us afterwards that they liked it for many of the same reasons we did - the menu, moving through the different rooms giving a flow of energy to the night, the unique aesthetic, and being able to spend time in the lounge or on the dancefloor later on. We were so happy with how things were handled at Deity and couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue for our special day.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Deity and were blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the venue, we knew we had found the perfect place to celebrate our special day. The f...
irst thing that struck us was the venue's unique ambiance. Deity combines old-world charm with modern elegance. The beautifully restored building showcases exquisite architectural details, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere that instantly won our hearts. The carefully curated decor and tasteful lighting enhanced the aesthetic, setting the stage for a truly magical wedding celebration. The staff at Deity were an absolute delight to work with. From the initial planning to the day of the event, their professionalism and attention to detail were incredible. Our day of coordinator, Anna, was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and accommodating. She worked with us to understand our vision and executed it flawlessly. The entire team, including the waitstaff and bartenders, were friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. A day of coordinator can make or break your wedding, and Anna is the BEST in the business – our entire wedding party still talks about her as a highlight of the day!! One of the standout features of Deity is its versatility. The venue offers multiple spaces, allowing for a seamless flow throughout the event, including getting ready in the suite (worth every penny!). We started with a heartfelt ceremony in the stunning Loft space, followed by a cocktail hour in the speakeasy-esque bar. The transition between spaces was effortless (which was our biggest concern with the multi-level venue), and our guests were in awe of the seamless coordination. The highlight of the evening was the reception in the Cellar, a hidden gem with its exposed brick walls and disco ball. It provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening of dancing. Another aspect that impressed us was the culinary experience at Deity. The food was absolutely divine! The in-house chef is incredibly talented and our guests raved about the delicious hors d'oeuvres and main courses. We chose the standard family-style option and are glad we did – guests loved the ability to try all of the main dishes and sides. Many other reviews mention that Deity is all-inclusive – this helped contain costs, have a seamless experience, and reduced the number of choices we had to make. The DJ being included was fantastic – we were a bit worried about not being able to choose our own, but Ben was amazing during planning and on the day of the wedding. For the vendors we did need (photographer, videographer, florist, dessert) we took advantage of Deity’s suggestions and were thrilled with the quality of each vendor recommended (Photography: Robert Carlo, Videography: Le Image, Florist: Charlotte Taylor at Floral Heights, Empire Cake, CityCakes). To sum it up, our wedding at Deity in Brooklyn was an absolute dream come true. The combination of the venue's breathtaking ambiance, attentive staff, exceptional cuisine, and seamless execution made for an unforgettable experience. If you're searching for a wedding venue that exudes charm, sophistication, and provides top-notch service, Deity should be at the top of your list. We wholeheartedly recommend Deity to anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting wedding day. Thank you Anna, Caio, and the Deity team!!!

edding but also had previously hosted the wedding of my brother and sister-in-law. When we decided on Deity, the team spent months chatting with us to help us nail down all the details. They also prioritized the things that mattered to us and helped us make it happen- from the personal touches of a mariachi to our polaroid guest book to the delicious food to the wine we picked (which mattered a lot to my sommelier husband!). Above all, the staff led by Anna that day are amazing humans! When COVID impacted a number of our guests being able to travel in for the wedding, Anna handled a fragile day with such care and patience. She was as protective of me and my husband as our wedding party was. She also helped coordinate with my friends to find unique ways to incorporate some of my family who were unable to attend because of the pandemic. Deity truly helped make one of the most important days in our lives memorable and magical. When we think back to our day, we always smile and Deity had a huge part in that.

esponsive, and cute but not cookie-cutter. We booked a Thursday in October. Things moved fast in the month before the wedding. We picked from their menu, selected our bar type (premium, with Anna generously hunting down more affordable wine when we requested), chose a seating arrangement option, sent guest counts, and wired the remainder of the cost. We also had a call with DJ Ben. For me, Deity made for an elegant, low-waste, lowish-stress wedding. We had a loose Old New York theme but it could be a modern castle, a chill Gatsby mansion, a wild rave, whatever vibe you want. You could bring in zero decor and the place will still look good to your guests. Deity staff have the business down to a science. Our Big Day went as well as anyone could hope. I’m so thankful to everyone at Deity. In times of brain fog, I could turn to Anna for decisiveness: “No, don’t keep your phone on you.” “Time to go upstairs.” “You should eat now.” Just as I was thinking, “I’m tired of these heels,” the staff turned up with my sneakers. While a few guests found them a bit strict, I honestly feel the staff only ever had my and my husband’s best interests in mind. And we had a few lovable delinquents on our guest list! Here’s some info that might be helpful. - Have the cash. Most of my vendors expected cash and Deity charges a fee for credit cards. - If you’re having your ceremony at Deity, it’s an even greater deal. We didn’t save anything by having it offsite at St Agnes. - LESS IS MORE. We could have skipped centerpieces. (You’re only in the dining room for an hour.) We also brought photo booth props, bathroom baskets, cake stands, favors, etc. The amazing Deity staff packed up for us but loading our things into the car after the wedding was an avoidable pain. - Designate loved ones to disperse tips, mind valuables, ensure you get important photos, pack up, etc. Again: Deity staff is amazing, too. - Our 113 guests fit in Deity just fine! We expected 123 and had 10 no-shows. (Weddingwire.com is great for seating charts.) - Keep your expectations manageable. That might mean cutting back on all the actions/photos/speeches. (In my rush for sunset photos, I put my reception dress on wrong.) If you’re not sure what’s realistic, ask Deity. - Be prepared to laugh off the things that will go wrong. - Book hotels early for the best deal. The local Holiday Inn was OK. - Consider an informal afterparty. Deity was firm about our end time but put us in touch with Someday Bar next door, where we enjoyed an extra few hours together. - If you order special meals, like gluten free or vegan, make sure your guests know those will arrive after the other food is served. - Budget for when the bar tab exceeds what was included in the venue fee—or guests can pick up their own tabs. It’s flexible! - Deity’s suite and rooftop is an added expense with a number of restrictions but it was 100% worth it for us. I can’t imagine us squeezing into a hotel before rushing to the church. I wish we’d taken advantage of the rooftop more but there was no spare time. Just be mindful of valuables: The staff kindly packs everything but it will sit in the lounge before you pack it into a car. Stay strong, wedding planners! You can put your trust in Deity!

When we decided to get married my husband and I had always wanted to do an adventure elopement, but we knew our families wanted to have a party to celebrate with us. So instead of forfeiting our dreams, we decided to do both! We planned to have...
the party one month after our elopement and contacted soooo many venues, trying to find the perfect one that wouldn't break the bank and we felt we could trust. My sisters helped us in our search after a few disappointing weeks of contacting venues that felt like wedding factories that didn't actually care about us. My sisters were the ones who found Deity and from the first email we received from them, we knew they were different. We scheduled a walk through with the owner Caio and left feeling so elated that we couldn't wait to confirm a date. Caio wasn't like the other people we met with. He was very honest, kind, and we could tell he generally cared to make our wedding one of the best days of our lives. The space itself is a beautiful historic building with a ton of character and didn't feel like every other wedding venue. It was exactly what we were looking for. We made a date night of the food and drink tasting and literally had a blast with the other couples there. We rented the bridal suite to get ready in and take family photos. My husband and a few friends spent the morning swimming in the pool on the roof until it was time for them to get ready.  The party itself was absolutely perfect. Everything ran so smoothly and on time. Our DJ was literally amazing, the food was incredible and we even had a chance to thank the chef in person which my husband appreciated as he used to work in a kitchen. Anna, the day of coordinator, helped us with all of our questions and timeline in the months leading up to our party. The day of she made sure we had everything we needed and that we stayed fed and hydrated. We could not have asked for a better person to be there for us and she was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Our families loved the venue and thought it was such a "unique and cool place to have a wedding". They still talk about how much fun they had at Deity, including my 94yr old grandma who absolutely loved everything about it. We knew we made the right decision booking Deity the day we met with Caio, but looking back months later we feel so lucky to have found such an amazing venue and so incredibly grateful to Caio, Anna, and the whole team at Deity.

Our guests are still raving about how great the food was. Unfortunately we hardly ate any of it, even though Anna and the staff arranged a platter of food for us to enjoy while we had a private moment after the ceremony. We were just too excited to eat, we so regret not just relaxing and sampling all of the amazing food. My husband and I were understandably nervous on the day of our wedding, we would have been lost without Anna. Everyone at Deity is amazing but Anna is truly special. She is unflappable, there is no problem she can't find a solution for. My parents are still talking about how exceptional she was. We are so grateful that we found Deity! nues that would nickel and dime you for everything. One of the things we loved the most about Deity was the all-inclusive cost with no hidden fees. We scheduled a tour with Caio and fell in love with the venue. Deity's is a beautiful, multi-floor venue, that is filled with NYC charm. We really appreciated the wedding flow across the different levels as the night progressed. The downstairs dance floor helped keep our guests dancing all night long. We rented the bridal suite and it was the perfect space to get ready in. We did the first look on the roof, and then we took a trolley with the bridal party to take pictures in Dumbo. The food is also amazing! We did the tasting and left very full and with leftovers. Guest kept raving about how good the food was! The bar and its staff were a hit with the guests as well and provided top notch service to all. Anna, Deity's wedding coordinator, and Caio were a pleasure to work with both professionally and personally throughout the wedding planning process. We had a few planning meetings leading up to the wedding to discuss the details with Anna. We are happy to say that these meetings helped ensure everything on our wedding day went according to plan. On the day of the wedding, Anna + Team did all the behind the scenes magic such as coordinating with the florist, setting up the dessert table, décor, etc. so we could enjoy the day. Anna has superb attention to detail. For example, the bride had lipstick on her teeth right as she was about to walk down the aisle and Anna quickly gave her a tissue to wipe it off. The effort Anna put into preparation beforehand helped ensure that the flow of our wedding day ran perfectly, and it did! We couldn't recommend this venue enough.

wedding planning process was a breeze. They provided many beautiful in-house details for our wedding, gave us an incredible vendors list, and worked with us to curate an event that was personalized to us. Being vegan, it was incredibly important for us to have a fully vegan wedding. While Deity had never done a vegan wedding, they were beyond excited to expand their menu to accommodate us. The food ended up being a HUGE hit! The multiple levels of the space gave the guests the ability to find the perfect place to party and enjoy the night, whether it was downstairs dancing with the incredible DJ provided by Deity, or upstairs in the chic and elegant lounge enjoying a delicious cocktail. Our guests had so much fun, they are still talking about the electric energy of the space 6 months later. We want to give a special shout out to Anna, the wedding coordinator, who made us feel at-ease during what could've been an incredibly stressful day. One of our favorite memories from our wedding is when Anna provided a moment for us in the bridal suite after the ceremony. ng Anna, Deity's coordinator, cemented our decision to choose Deity as she answered our barrage of questions patiently. So WHY Deity? The SPACE is unique; you get three floors to host your wedding, each with a different vibe so your guests are entertained throughout the wedding. The FOOD and DRINKS were fantastic, definitely do the pre-wedding tasting and think about doing signature cocktails too. You MUST get the BRIDAL SUITE as it will make your life infinitely easier and we spent the majority of our pre-wedding festivities there. Finally - did we mention it's ALL-INCLUSIVE? AKA you don't have to keep track and pay a thousand vendors. Your fee includes not just the space, but also the food, drinks, furniture/décor, cake cutting, DJ and the priceless advice of Anna (coordinator) and Caio (owner). What a great experience Deity provided us on our wedding day! We live in Texas but decided to get married in New York City. We came across Deity early in the process and were intrigued by the fact that the venue not only came with tables/linens...
, it also included bar service, food and a coordinator, and for an additional cost, a DJ. In addition, we loved that the venue was three levels. The lounge, where the bar was located, was used for cocktail hour. The loft was used for the reception, and the cellar for the dance. We essentially only had to go to outside vendors for the cake and flowers. The décor of the venue did not call for too much additional decorations. We loved the exposed brick, the “Brooklyn Love” sign in the cellar, and the tree in the lounge. We loved the use of candles and lights, as they created the perfect setting. We ended up booking the venue before seeing it in person, instead choosing to go off pictures, great reviews, and early email exchanges with Anna. Each new question we had was quickly answered by email in a timely manner. We flew to NYC a few months before the wedding, to have our tasting, and wow, what incredible food. We had our tasting with two other couples which allowed us to try more dishes than we originally expected.. In total, they brought us about 23 dishes, which included hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and sides. The entire experience just reassured us even more that we had made the right decision. The food we decided on for cocktail hour was chicken & waffles, Cuban sandwich, tomato soup & grilled cheese shooters, lemongrass shrimp, vegetable potstickers, & bruschetta. Our salad was the tomato and mozzarella. Entrees included beef short ribs & lemon cream salmon, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. We added a 3rd side, the green beans, at an additional cost. We spent the next few months telling our guest how amazed they would be with the food. As we expected, our guests really enjoyed the food and so did we. We must give some real thanks and appreciation to Caio, the owner, and Anna. We were only set to have the wedding reception at the venue, the ceremony was supposed to be outdoors, at Dumbo Park, which is about 2 miles away from Deity. The day of our wedding the forecast showed cloudy with no rain. However, mother nature had another idea in mind as the rain began as we had our first look at Central Park, around 2:00 PM. Our wedding was supposed to start at 5:45 PM and we were not supposed to be at Deity until 7pm. Looking at the radar, it did not appear that the weather would clear up (in fact it rained for the remainder of the day). I called Anna to explain the situation, which she was willing to help. In coordination with our officiant, photographer, and Deity we were able to push our wedding ceremony back and have the event at Deity. We could not put into words how appreciative we were of this kind gesture. When we arrived, we were wet & cold, and a little stressed. Anna assured us everything would go as planned and remained patient with us even though it called for some shuffling of tables and chairs. The Deity staff was so professional, attentive, and made everyone feel special. Even with this change we were still able to enjoy the entire wedding and reception and our guest loved the entire experience. If you are thinking of getting married in NYC, we highly encourage you to look at Deity. Great staff, great venue, great food, great choice

uests still tell us that our wedding was the most organized and elegant wedding they’ve ever attended, all thanks to the great staff at Deity. Deity is unique because it is an all-inclusive venue, which is (1) very hard to find in NYC and (2) good value for money. The food and beverages, day-of coordinator, chairs, linens, candles, DJ, table numbers, easels, etc were all included in our package. The impact was two-fold: we didn’t have to source additional vendors and thus, didn’t have to shell out large sums of cash. This means we had more time to source vendors that were important to us, such as our photographers and videographers. The owner (Caio) and Anna (wedding coordinator) are great at communicating, very transparent, and genuinely kind people. We are so happy with how efficient our wedding was. ould give us everything we wanted in a wedding. Planning was a breeze because Caio and our coordinator Anna took care of everything. They were incredibly responsive with any questions we had, and made coordinating with our vendors so easy. When we decided to postpone our wedding due to high COVID rates in January '22, they were so understanding and worked quickly to rebook a new date. It was worth the wait because our summer wedding couldn't have been more perfect. I got ready with my bridesmaids and family members in the bridal suite (DEFINITELY book the bridal suite! It is SO worth it to have all that space to get ready in comfortably, and to already be at the venue when you're done) which was so gorgeous and had everything ready for us --steamers, 2 bathrooms, plenty of seating, a fridge stocked with wine, wine glasses, mirrors, and plenty of space for hair and makeup to be set up. We did our first look up on the rooftop which resulted in some of my favorite photos because the plants and buildings in the background provide a gorgeous backdrop. Our ceremony space looked exactly how I envisioned it, with Deity's complimentary hurricane vases and pillar candles and the Deity hexagon arch decorated by my florist. The ceremony space was then flipped to the dinner space while the guests went down to the lounge for cocktail hour where they enjoyed hors d'eauvres (Deity has a great selection of unconventional, fun appetizers to choose from) and drinks, including our signature cocktails. Dinner was set up quickly and beautifully, and we received lots of compliments on the food choices (we chose the filet mignon and salmon, and Deity provides complimentary vegetarian options if you let them know in advance). By the time dinner was over, everyone was ready to dance and party in the cellar space. At first, I was nervous that people would hate all the moving between the levels, but I honestly think it was best to have the dancing portion separate from the cocktail hour and dinner because it just felt like a party at a local Brooklyn club! Our DJ/MC, provided by Deity, was so nice and even arranged a call before the wedding to go over our questionnaire on song preferences. DJ Trauma really wanted to get to know the vibe we were going for with the music and dancing, and he totally nailed it! I would definitely recommend Deity to anyone looking to have a unique, fun, and trendy NYC wedding with stress-free planning!

We always felt he had our best interest and the best interest of our guests at heart. We got married in August 2021 and it was everything we dreamed and more. Anna, our day-of coordinator, truly went above and beyond. She ensured that my husband and I had everything we needed (and didn’t know we needed) throughout the day and evening. The food, drinks and service at Deity are truly top notch. We’re still getting compliments from friends and family on how much they enjoyed our wedding. We cannot say enough good things about Caio and the Deity team.

n the same place. The deal breaker was that they handled most of the ceremony/event setup in house - from professional waitstaff, to horderves & main course, to even having the DJ. We only had to bring in the florist and photographer - and since this place is a go-to for a lot of couples the two we selected were already familiar with the space and proceeded to coordinate with Caio, the owner. With the pain of seating charts, invitations, and other tasks having Deity take care of the coordination and other things in house was such a load off of our shoulders and was worth every penny on that alone. We had originally planned to have our wedding in 2020 but the pandemic made us had to reschedule it. Having heard horror stories of venues and other vendors screwing people out of money we were originally nervous about what would happen. But to our relief, Caio was so accommodating and worked with us to schedule a new date - no extra charges or anything! His level of commitment to making sure you have the best evening possible is beyond what I thought was possible - even as we navigated through these horrible times. I have done nothing but sing this place praises since our event. Everything was perfect: the food was some of the best you'll ever have, the DJ was incredibly friendly and could read a room like an expert, and the staff were friendly and beyond accommodating. And the bar next door is open until 5AM and is really cute - they often cater to events from Deity for the after party and are great about it. And to make it even better, it was actually really affordable for a wedding. Like to the point where other people were surprised that was even possible, especially being in Downtown Brooklyn. Make Deity a top consideration for your wedding because my wife and I's was nothing but spectacular. And they'll make your life so much easier on one of the most stressful days of your life. And that is truly priceless.

Please do yourself a favor and rent the bridal suite for the day before the event- its huge, beautiful and provides so many wonderful opportunities for photos. nd the wedding date, many things changed due to the COVID pandemic. Luckily, working with Caio, the owner of Deity, was a joy. Throughout the planning process, Caio worked with us to make sure that our celebration could go ahead--he was also responsive to emails and worked with us to help us plan the details of our wedding. Deity does everything in house--food, bartenders, tables, linen, flatware and dishes, serving staff, the DJ, wedding planner, and day of wedding coordinator, which meant that we only had to coordinate with Caio instead of multiple parties, which made the process so much easier. Their entire team works together seamlessly to make the wedding a huge success. The space itself is beautiful, it is an intimate venue with exposed brick and has a very Brooklyn vibe. We toured many other Brooklyn venues, but felt that Deity had the best atmosphere and was a great value for the cost. Finally, the day of our wedding went very smoothly. The photographer, florist and dessert catering coordinated with Deity, which meant that we could just enjoy the celebration and spend time with our guests. The staff was very professional and knew what they were doing--they were attentive and had an eye for detail. We mentioned, for example, that one of the guests would arrive a bit later so Deity made sure to put food aside from the dinner. We and our guests loved the space, and especially the effect created by the multiple floors--the dinner, cocktail hour and dancefloor are on three separate floors, meaning the guests who didn’t want to dance could have a quiet conversation in the cocktail area space, and people could circle between the different levels freely. The food was very good, several guests told us how much they liked the appetizers especially. Also, Caio’s estimate regarding the drinks tab was spot on! We loved having our wedding at Deity and would highly recommend it to anyone!!!!

he owner, Caio, he is a genuine partner in event planning, bringing vast experience and tremendous focus to making your celebration meaningful and joyous. Deity's unique layout allows for different vibes on different floors, so if you want to dance, one floor is dedicated to dancing, and if you want to have a conversation, the lounge floor is perfect. The top floor is great for ceremonies and sit down meals, which brings me to Deity's food. They have a terrific chef in charge of the kitchen who can accommodate all sorts of dietary needs, restrictions and desires, all of it delicious. For our daughter's party, we selected a certain number of appetizers and a certain number of main dishes and every single one was fantastic. Plus, throughout the evening, Caio was on hand to manage flow. At one point, I thought we should take a break from dancing and gather everyone for a slideshow my father created. Caio checked the dancefloor, saw that it was cooking and wisely advised me to give it a few more songs before disrupting. That's what I mean about partnership- he's looking out for every guest, making sure they all leave exhilirated from an unforgettably fun evening. And that's exactly what every single person in attendance felt. I can not recommend Deity highly enough.

Let me start out by saying that we could not have picked a better venue for our special day. From the moment we toured the space and met Caio, we knew that Deity was our choice. Not only is Deity a beautiful venue, but having a multi-floored ...
wedding provided unique and exciting energy at every step of the night. Below, we break down what makes Deity so special: Venue: The venue is unlike any we've ever seen. From the exposed brick, classic "Brooklyn under the stars" vibe in the reception room/dining room, to the magnificent tree that sits uniquely in the middle of the cocktail hour floor and plays nicely off of their octagonal bar, to the stunning rooftop arrangement with an in-ground hot tub, to the picturesque bridal suite that my wife and her party spent the entire day getting ready in, to the dance floor, highlighted by their classic "Brooklyn Love" sign, disco ball, and full-sized mirror in the back, the entire venue screams one-of-a-kind. Within minutes of touring the venue, we knew we had to get married here. Food and Drink: The food at Deity was absolutely excellent. The hour d'ouevres were an absolute hit, and the staff did a great job of keeping things coming. Guests reported that this was one of the most filling and tasty cocktail hours they had ever had. The dinner was also exceptional, providing interesting yet classic options on all types of dinner dishes. Everyone was raving about the culinary experience from start to finish. To top it all off, Deity worked with us to create 3 craft "Cat Cocktails" that was a smash hit at the wedding. The drinks were prepared promptly, they were well-made, and the bar offers a wide array of drinks and brands to choose from. There was never a wait, and everyone drank plentifully during our celebration. Staff: The staff was exceptional. Every person had a smile on their faces, was pleasant, and hard-working to make our night function properly. Caio and Anna have an amazing eye for detail and goes to great lengths to make sure that the little stuff that you do not/should not be thinking about on your special night is taken care of. It's obvious that they hold a wealth of experience. From the bartenders to the servers, everyone went above and beyond. The Party: It was the dance party of the century. Deity provided an absolutely epic DJ, in BenHa Meen, who took us on a journey with our ears, that translated into a night of nonstop movement, sweat, and screaming. For weeks after our wedding, people continued to tell us how amazing Ben was, and how great the music that he chose was. As a professional DJ working with some amazing artists, he really knew how to mix and ride the vibe of the night. Caio: Without a doubt, one of the most influential factors for hosting our wedding at Deity was the owner himself, the legend that is, Caio Dunson. Caio is warm, friendly, accommodating, and professional. With years of experience in this industry and having built Deity from the ground up with his own bare hands, it's obvious that he cared about our day being special just as much, if not more, than we did. This pandemic brought about many challenges, including having to postpone our date, and Caio was there every step of the way, always available on calls, emails, or texts. Please believe me when I say that WE COULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN A BETTER BUSINESS PARTNER, EVENT PLANNER, AND FRIEND, TO HELP US MAKE THIS WEDDING WHAT IT TURNED OUT TO BE. Working with Caio was the best!

uxtaposition of stained glass and exposed brick, the large hexagon-shaped bar that helped loads of people get a drink at once, the light and airy ceremony room, the vintage “Brooklyn Love” sign and disco ball in the dance room…every part of this venue is “Instagrammable!” Then, there’s the breathtaking bridal suite – this really sold it for us, because having access to this lounge from 10 AM onward to get ready in and take pictures made the entire day so incredibly joyful and easy! The lounge is beyond gorgeous, with romantic velvet curtains, antique furniture, a fully functional kitchen with a huge island (perfect to serve lunch on while everyone gets ready) and multiple bathrooms. We also had access to the amazing roof deck all day – great views of the Brooklyn skyline, a shaded sitting area, and even a 10x10 spa pool we dipped our feet into. The roof and bridal lounge were absolutely perfect for our bridal party as we got hair and makeup done and took spectacular photos. If you book with Deity, you also get a basic décor package included, which helped us save a lot on decorations and flowers! The décor package includes gorgeous, thin strands of lights, thick asymmetrical candles and a mirror plate that we used as the focal part of our centerpieces, a huge hexagonal arch in the ceremony room that you can put candles and flowers on and get married in front of, all the table cloths/napkins, table assignment numbers, and more. Also included when you book with Deity is the DJ! Regarding food, Deity’s selection of hors d’oeuvres for cocktail hour were fantastic. We went for the lobster po boy, crab cakes, spanakopita, mini Cuban sandwiches, beef tenderloin toasts, and the chicken and waffles (which were TO DIE FOR). For the sit-down dinner, we enjoyed the salmon with cream sauce, short ribs (melt in your mouth!), and a bunch of delicious sides all served family style (which lets your guests try everything and eat even more than a typical plated dinner). The drink service was always spot on and our guests (who REALLY like to party) were able to enjoy as many beverages as they liked thanks to the speedy drink service and waiters who helped deliver drink orders in the dance room. Finally, the staff at Deity (in particular, Caio and our day-of coordinator Anna) are exceptional human beings. They are true professionals who have immense experience with weddings and have this stuff down to a SCIENCE. They know all the details about transitions, timing, how to move your guests from one from to the next – you don’t have to worry about a thing, and our night went off without a hitch! Anna even fixed my hair and helped bustle my dress, made sure our favorite drink was always in hand, and gave us waters every half an hour or so to keep us hydrated! When our florist dropped out last minute, Caio managed the communication with the new florist to make sure they could step up and do the job right, and that really alleviated so much stress for us. These are people who will have your back through and through and take on anything necessary to make sure you can focus on having fun and living in the moment. Do not hesitate to book with Deity - our wedding was a dream come true!!

area. The dance hall floor is massive and has a beautiful sign and very accommodating tables and chairs. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and distinct and special it looked from all other wedding venues they’ve been too. We certainly feel the same way; there’s something so special about the way it feels compared to your standard banquet/catering hall. If you want your wedding to look unique, this is the place! The food was absolutely fantastic! The hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour were delicious; our guests were complimenting the chicken and waffle sliders and lobster rolls for days afterwards. The dinner was equally spectacular, the meats came out tender and the sides were plentiful and delicious. There was always enough food ready to go around and refill the family style servings that were on each table. No one walked away hungry after this wedding, that is for sure. The DJ deserves a special mention, as he is included in the venue pricing. This is generally rare and provides an extra service that really takes away the stress of booking that particular vendor. The DJ Ben was spectacular, he played all the songs we asked without fault, and stuck to the types of songs we asked him to play for the entire dance party. Finally, the biggest and best asset this venue has to offer is the owner – Caio and his staff. He is immensely accommodating, communicative and transparent in all aspects of what the venue has to offer and what him and his staff can do for the couple. He stuck with us through all of covid and kept us updated regularly. He is always a phone call or email away for any questions or concerns we had throughout the whole planning process. No question was ever too detailed or complicated for him to deal with. On the wedding day, the staff were very attentive to our needs and ensured the event went off without a hitch. We couldn’t have been happier with how our big day went, and we owe it all to Deity! We cannot recall a single thing that went wrong or left a bad impression during the night. We highly recommend it if you want a unique, beautiful venue with amazing food and service.

We didn't do a tasting prior to the wedding, I expected the food to be average for catering venues but everyone raved about the food! My wife & I had a chance to meet and compliment the chef in person. The cocktail hour horderves were so delicious. My favorite moment was right when the ceremony ended everyone went down to enjoy cocktail hour, my wife and I stayed back to enjoy an intimate cocktail with each other right after our "I do". The Deity team was extraordinary, I didn't have to worry about anything. They assisted with making sure my bridal bouquet was kept safe & in perfect condition while we enjoyed our time. Our crowd was a little bit of everything, the foodies loved every item on our cocktail list which included chicken & waffles, mini grilled cheese with tomato soup, mini cubans, lamb sliders, lobster rolls & bruschetta. The dancing crowd enjoyed the music and the basement level, they had drinks coming to them all night, and easy access to the restrooms. Everyone loved the multi level venue, each floor was a surprise. We came across a wedding video in 2018 from a same sex couple that was held in Deity, the couple looked so happy and the venue looked so beautiful in the background. We checked on google and looked at the reviews & photos for Deity and were in love with the romantic setting it has with the candles and dim lighting and that big Brooklyn Love sign in the cellar behind the disco ball. We received pricing and after shopping around Deity fit our budget and offered a great deal of help such as a day of coordinator and DJ everything was just so simple and the pricing was very reasonable. We met with a Deity rep to do a walk through of the venue and the same day we couldn't see our wedding anywhere else but Deity. We set our date for November 2020 but then in March 2020 covid happened, with everything up in the air as to employment we were not too sure if to save money or to submit our 2nd payment but Caio was so supportive and understood just like him we were all worried about what was next. We touched base January 2021 and decided to move forward and set our date for June 2021. Choosing Deity as our venue was the best choice we did for our special. The food was delicious, I would love to go back to eat lol, the decor is elegant and modern and in style. The staff are all so lovely, friendly & very attentive. Our families are not easy people to keep on track but Anna did it all flawlessly! Deity is such an amazing venue in that the space is so versatile and diverse you feel like you’re at a different venue with each floor. Thanks to the bridal suite, I didn’t have to stress about where to get ready with my bridal party and then coordinate more travel in time for photos. The rooftop was great for cityscape photos and we even walked around the neighborhood for some great shots. The ceremony space was flipped for dinner and Deity staff made sure transitions to and from floors were seamless. Our guests loved having the lounge space open all night as well as a break from the dance floor. The food was phenomenal. Cocktail hour and dinner were knocked out of the park and our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the food. Seriously, if we could get our hands on that BBQ chicken recipe we would. Our DJ Ben was also fantastic. One of our deciding factors in choosing Deity was that our package came with a DJ already and Ben did not miss. He kept our friends and families dancing and just a great overall vibe to the night. When initially booking Deity, we were a little concerned about the 2 flights of stairs at the venue but Caio also made sure that our elderly guests were comfortable and received any assistance needed throughout the night which was HUGELY appreciated. Caio made us feel heard and comfortable. A few weeks later, we met in person at the venue and we knew we chose the right venue and team to help make our wedding dreams come true. We relied heavily on the advice and guidance of the Deity team. They went above and beyond to make recommendations to hotels, local vendors not typically used, coordinate timeline of shipments and overall décor coordination. Their team took a huge weight off with their in-house planning, catering, and music. The day of the wedding. the bridal party arrived to the venue early and we were all in awe of the stunning bridal suite. Being able to get ready at the venue and not having to worry about transportation was perfect. The Ceremony, the floor was stunning, the florist and Deity staff created a whimsical indoor garden with greenery draping across the ceiling and crawling up the windows throughout the room, the aisle was lined with candles that led to the rooms center piece, a beautiful hexagon covered in roses, hand built for our wedding by my now husband. The aroma of the flowers filled the room and was intoxicating, something I will remember always. On the same accord, when the room was turned over for dinner, the table settings were all that I had dreamed and more they made the room feel romantic and warm. The guests were in awe of their ability to turn over the room so quickly and gushed over the attentiveness of the staff. They loved the tray passed Hors D’oeuvres during cocktail hour and the family style dinner. During the reception, they enjoyed the drinks to order versus a bar, it kept the guest engaged in the party versus crowding around a bar. Words can’t express how grateful I am to Caio and the Deity team. Deity did so many little things leading up to our wedding day to make it perfect. Every vendor they recommended was equally as wonderful for the booking process and I was basically done planning my wedding in a couple months! Enter 2020- as soon as Covid hit (an event planner myself) knew that this was not something that would pass quickly and I had no intentions of postponing my October dream wedding. Caio was on board from the beginning that we would do whatever it takes to make the wedding happen! He was so attentive and quick to respond to all of my concerns and adapting plans for the big day as regulations constantly changed (at one point we were going to do a rooftop party!) Thankfully, NYC allowed indoor dining 10 days before our wedding so we went full speed ahead with a Covid safe plan to do our indoor wedding. We ended up deciding against dancing as it is difficult to do socially distanced, and it ended up making our night even more perfect with an additional cocktail hour in the lounge space to spend time with friends and family. Once the big day came, everything came together perfectly. Thanks to Caio for recommending the BEST vendors you could imagine, literally picking up our cake for us, and being there to answer every little question I had and to pay special attention to every detail I planned. Our family and friends can't stop telling us about how it was the most amazing wedding they had ever been to! Our day far exceeded our expectations and I give all credit to Caio and our vendors. ke any other venue in the NY/NJ area. We felt how special the venue was when we first met Caio. Caio took our concerns seriously. We knew that we wanted an intimate ceremony, plentiful food, and a well-stocked bar. Caio made sure our opinions were validated and completely reassured us every step of the way. After signing the contract, Caio was easily accessible by email and phone whenever we needed him. He was always straightforward, transparent, and trustworthy. Caio and his team handled all the little things leading up to the wedding and during the wedding, with ease and like pros. Truthfully, Caio stressed that his team was experienced when we first signed our contract but we did not appreciate that until after our wedding when we reflected how effortless the wedding was. After you sign the contract, they basically take care of the rest. They did a great job of shuttling guests between floors. They got the food out swiftly, enabling everyone to eat at the same time. The food was excellent and plentiful. We had a few guests who kept Kosher or were vegan and they handled everything related to the special meals with ease. They also paid special attention to one of our elderly guests, making sure that she could change floors along with the rest of the party and helping her every step of the way. They turned our ceremony decorations into table decorations without us even asking and beautifully displayed our dessert buffet, taking the initiative to cut the donuts in half so guests could try all of the desserts. Caio’s DJ, DJ Ben Hameen, was excellent, and he took our recommendations and “no play list” seriously. At the end of the night, they helped us pack everything up and we were able to pick up the bulk items the next day. Months after the wedding is over, we still have guests telling us how wonderful the food, venue, and music was, and that they’ve never been to a wedding like it before. We also highly recommend getting the suite, for both the bridal party to get ready and also for some great photos. We’re so glad we picked Caio and Deity to have our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough. Caio became part of our family, and we are so glad that we put our trust in him for our special day. place run smoothly, professionally, and joyfully. I cannot tell you how many texts, emails, and voicemails we received afterwards telling us this was the best wedding they've ever been to. How fun it was. How the layout made it so cool and extra special. They loved that dancing was separate, making that portion a real party. And for the guests who don't really want to be out there dancing, they still felt like they were a part of it since the tables are right there in the action. It was a dream. Also, you will LOVE your experience at Deity as much as your guests did! A few more specifics about our day, as I know I read all these reviews in detail when deciding; we started the day in the Suite getting ready, which was such a beautiful landing space to have. It is GORGEOUS and just makes you feel luxurious and taken care of immediately. The staff were checking in all day or answering texts about tiny questions. And it was so nice to be whisked away up there at various points in the night for some connection time between you alone as a couple. I think this aspect is something that sets Deity completely apart. On the night of your event you are given TWO coordinators who are pretty much just there for you. They keep track of timing and where you two need to be at any point in the night and just allowed us to be more fully present in every moment, not worrying over "what time is it? is xyz happening?" At any moment I had a question or a thought, they were two steps ahead of me and I relaxed all the more, breathing a deep sigh of relief and gratitude. Beyond these two amazing coordinators, there's the whole rest of the staff, who are also so kind, considerate, and on top of every little thing. We had two people who were in a wheelchair or walker. This was something that caused us a lot of concern beforehand, but Caio assured us they knew exactly how to handle it and to not worry. And man were they right. With grace, poise, and open hearts, they maneuvered the wheelchair over various steps, aided with the chair lift, and went above and beyond when at the start of dancing, our wheelchair bound uncle couldn't get a cab as it was New Year's Eve, and the bartender himself walked them to the hotel! When we heard of this the next morning, we teared up. It was that level of kindness and consideration at every point, big and small, that sets this venue apart from all the rest. The food and drinks were plentiful and absolutely delicious (the salmon and short ribs are to die for) and kept us happy dancing into the night. Not to mention the GORGEOUS interior and design on every floor. I loved it from the first time I set eyes on the place, and every guest commented how cool, unique, fun, and well-done our wedding was. This was because of the team at Deity, not us. ; )

Our wedding was at Deity on November 23, 2019. We LOVED the venue and highly recommend it. Caio (the owner) was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. He was always very quick to respond to our questions. He is an expert in ...
all-things wedding planning and hep paved the way for us to have an unforgettable experience. Making a perfect seating chart was one of our hardest tasks – Caio’s suggestions and floorplans along the way were invaluable. Melissa and Ana led the show on the night of our wedding. Ana was my personal attendant and kept bringing me water or whatever I asked for. Both Ana and Melissa were very attentive and even anticipated all my needs in advance! Ana even bustled my dress! Melissa and Ana certainly are experts in making weddings go smoothly! At the end of the evening, they gathered all our belongings, so it was easy to grab everything together when leaving. Our planning meeting in advance was with Melissa. We had some homework both before and after to figure out all the details. Whatever we wanted— Deity made it happen. We did our tasting the same night as the planning meeting. The food at the tasting was excellent—I’m glad I enjoyed it since I didn’t eat a lot on the wedding night! It’s definitely worth doing the tasting to compare options. Food quality was very important for us and we were very happy with how everything turned out. For the hor d’oerves, we selected: lemongrass shrimp, salmon poke, beef tenderloin toast, spanakopita, crab cakes and bruschetta. For dinner, we selected: mozzarella salad, green beans, orzo pilaf, NY strip and seared tuna. (We paid a bit extra per guest for two premium entrees.) All the hor d’oerves were delicious! My favorites were the beef tenderloin toast and spanakopita. (In the tasting, we tried the sliders, but preferred the toast) The salmon poke was notably delicious! As for entrees, the NY Strip with the mushrooms was delicious! It was my favorite, but my husband loved the seared tuna even more. In terms of quantity, there was plenty of food. Deity coordinated vegetarian and kosher meals for us and had backup vegetarian options on hand. The space at Deity is beautiful. The Loft (for room the ceremony and then dinner) —with the exposed brick, lights, and candles—is just stunning. (Having candles as centerpieces means costs savings, not spending as much on flowers for tables.) It was the perfect urban chic look we wanted. The Lounge (main floor for guests upon arrival and cocktail hour) has beautiful stained-glass windows, is soundproof, and is just a beautiful room. The open concept of having the party flow between floors works well. The staff brought people up and down seamlessly. We had a string quartet for the ceremony, which was great. Then Ben was the DJ for dancing. He did a great job playing the Hora music we picked out, and everyone loved dancing through the night...the dance floor and cellar space were intimate and perfect for us! We picked out our own dessert from a local bakery, and Deity served it during the dance party, which was also managed seamlessly. We were thrilled with our wedding at Deity!!

me of the party videos, we felt compelled to see the venue for ourselves. At our arrival, it seemed as if the choice was already unquestionable. The venue is eloquently designed with exposed brick walls and a centered lit tree highlighting its natural beauty. The intricate lights and candles gave off a romantic, whimsical feeling. Each floor brought a new, pleasant feeling of discovery. The top floor suite was definitely worth it. My bridal party and I were able to get ready as peacefully as can be. The suite can accommodate an entire party as well as the hair and makeup team comfortably. The rooftop is a great place for couples to do their first look. It was private, intimate and offered an amazing view of Brooklyn's skyline. Caio and his team made the planning process easy and almost effortless. He promptly responded to our endless questions without hesitation. The entire team of coordinators were EXTREMELY helpful! They helped manage our wedding jitters and made the decor and blend of traditional/cultural customs come to life. Til this day, our guests continue to give us compliments about the music, food and great time they had. DEITY is highly recommended.

take form. This simple act of such dedication and sincerity for his business was a refreshing surprise! We promptly set up time to tour the venue, which Caio promised to show us personally. It was during that tour that the deal was really solidified. My now husband and I feel strongly about personal connections, and we felt that immediately with Caio. He had such a warm personality. We knew that we could trust him, and that this event would be taken personally as a reflection of his promise. It really made picking Deity a no brainer and we quickly locked in a date, and we are SO GLAD that we did. Everything, at every step and turn was truly amazing. I emailed Deity countless times with big and small questions. I am a huge planner, and needed to have every single detail sorted out, and the Deity staff was essentially my wedding planning co-team, it was an incredible partnership! They were more than helpful every step of the way, and even added additional advice whenever they could. When you’re spending so much money, its difficult to feel at ease, or like you can really trust the process, but we really felt that way with Deity from the time we met Ciao, and especially on our wedding day. And this is all in the lead up to the event! The day-of was so smooth it was almost hard to believe that everything went off so incredibly seamlessly. The entire staff knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to handle every single aspect of our special day. We had a timeline to keep to, and they kept everyone on time without us feeling rushed or stressed. Whenever we needed something, or had a question that day, one of our 2 attendees were there to help, making it is so we could really just focus on the day, and the moment. There is so much more that we could say, from helping us take special moments for ourselves, to the food and the incredible service, we could keep going on and on!! Truly, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making the day everything we could have imagined, and even more!!

ooked them, I warned them that although I was a fairly non-traditional bride, I am also a seriously nitpicky planner. At no time did anyone at Deity make me feel rushed, unprepared, or like some kind of bother during the planning process. Melissa was there to answer every single ridiculous planning question I had and worked so closely with us to make sure the details of our day were on pointe despite many last minute changes and issues. Before the wedding, owner Caio took the time to meet and speak with me regarding the finalization of all our details and really made us feel like the lines of communication were perpetually open with Deity. We expressed some concerns about small things and he listened carefully and thoughtfully executed changes on our behalf that helped us have what was a truly perfect day. On the day of, Melissa and Anna helped curb all of our anxieties and guide us and our guests through the day seamlessly. When I say these guys will put in work for you, they will truly put in WORK. They are undeniably professional, kind, and so excellent at diffusing any issues without causing panic to the bride and groom. The food was great, service by all staff was top notch, and the decor in Deity can't be beat. I highly recommend using their bridal suite for getting ready and staying the night- it was amazing to not have to trek to a second location after we were so tired! The suite truly can't be described and pictures don't do it justice- you have to see it. Deity also provides a portal with an abundance of vendor recommendations once you book, and this is how we found our incredible photographer, as well. All in all, Deity is a 10/10 venue in a 2/10 wedding world and we are so blessed to have their incredible space, staff, and energy as the backdrop to our special day. They have truly become a sort of family to us.

array of different settings and vibes, which I loved! We started our day on the fourth level in the bridal suite, which was spacious enough for 14 of us to get ready. We then moved on to the fifth level, which is a beautiful rooftop terrace for photos. Moving on to the third floor, we attended the wedding ceremony in a room that had been beautifully decorated to suit the tastes of the bride and groom. This room was flipped over for dinner as we had cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres on the second level bar area, which was adorned with soft lighting and an intimate seating area. Finally, we moved downstairs to the first level, which was a room with beautiful art deco ceilings, to dance the night away for the reception. Although the venue itself was a gem, what impressed me the most was the staff and service. The food was absolutely delicious, but more than that, they seemed to think of every single detail to make it an unforgettable experience. The owners were personally involved in the process from beginning to end, which made me feel confident in knowing someone had such a personal investment in the event. am made sure nothing was left out. They provided amazing service, a beautiful venue and delicious food. It was truly an all-in-one service that made our lives sooooo much easier. Chef Kary’s food was delicious. Our guests not only raved about the hors d'oeuvres (some of the best ever according to multiple people) but were also wowed by our family-style dinner. We loved the urban/industrial vibe of the venue and only had to add a few more personal touches from ourselves to make it look great. DJ BenHa, despite some miscommunication with regards to some special requests, played a song list that had the crowd rocking all night (he was able to understand the style of music we wanted after only a few minute on the phone). Most importantly, Melissa was instrumental in helping us plan and organize everything leading up to the wedding and made us feel at ease. She answered all of our questions, no matter how specific they were, and helped us troubleshoot a few problems we had. Her (and Anna’s) help day-of made the wedding go off smoothly without us feeling any anxiety at all. They were always calm and collected and made sure that we had some private couple time together even during the craziness of everything. We would recommend Deity to anyone who is looking to have a wedding in NYC. The price is very reasonable and the ease of mind you get from working with a great all-in-one venue is seriously underrated. We love everyone we worked with at Deity!

n in our planning phase when Caio spent hours with us going through the menu and the flow of the event. Throughout the entire planning process he was available to answer my questions and alleviate my concerns. He always responded to emails in a timely manner, which I really appreciated. The space at Deity is divided into three floors which allowed the kids to have the ability to party downstairs with the DJ, playing games, dancing, taking pictures in the photo booth or having their caricatures drawn while the adults could socialize and have dinner upstairs, without hearing the emcee shouting into the microphone. Caio was a master at keeping things flowing throughout the night-bringing adults and kids together and apart as we all moved seamlessly from floor to floor, for the service, dinner, dancing, candle lighting, montage and dessert. The adults were able to join the kids downstairs when they wanted to and retreat to calm and quiet upstairs, as desired. The food was delicious! Throughout the night our guests kept commenting about how good the food was and how lovely the folks at Deity were. We had a mixture of people with dietary restrictions and food allergies and Caio and his chef were very accommodating. The last thing I want to say was how mindful Caio and his team were to make sure that kids left safely at the end of the night. His staff remained outside making sure kids were picked up by an adult. I had some reservations, initially, about the space but at the end of the night I can only sing the praise of Caio, his staff and the space, itself! They truly helped to make a very special night into an unforgettable event that our family will cherish forever!

n to for so many reasons. First, This wasn't a wedding but a Bar/Bat Mitzvah which is arguably a much harder event to pull off. The older people/parents are just not into what the kids are into. They want to talk with great food and good acoustics and excellent cocktails. Deity made all of this happen ten fold. BUT they also want to party albeit briefly, and that is something that's totally special about this space. You can separate the people you hate from the people you like, LOL. The kids were in heaven because they basically had their own party. Everyone has a family member that needs help, the stairs are daunting for some, but Ciao literally stood next to my 87 year old mom and made sure she could navigate without an issue. This is important so the host doesn't have to worry that someone is going to die Seriously, I met with Ciao and his team several times through the planning and he bent over backwards to meet my schedule and be there for all my questions. And I might add that even if you think you're being crazy with the questions, he has heard them all and stays chill and very positive which was needed for sure. The food is excellent and the service seriously top notch. I ran events like the after party at the Emmy's and this was as polished and great. I can't say enough great things. And it's totally beautiful. If you like things that are going to make an impression, That are not cookie cutter where many generations of friends will be comfortable, this is your place. I stand by it. This was a year of many parties for my kids and theirs stood out as unique, beautiful, delicious and very New York. Cheers to a great party. Superb staff. The owner understands how important and expensive it is to host a great event and let’s you feel that you don’t need a party planner. And I didn’t mention that you really don’t need much, if any decorations because the candles and twinkly lights sort of due the trick.

xecuted was beyond my dreams. I took a lot of time with all the DIY projects and Melissa + team made it especially special. No detail was over looked and it was put together better than I could ever have staged it myself, The Suite! oh the Suite! of course the suite was amazing, but we loved how it also was the space for our families to congregate before the ceremony. All of the bridal party were pretty comfortable, and I felt like a queen. Although we wanted photos on the rooftop, fate had it that we were to enjoy the suite even more as a photo back drop, and we will cherish those moments now forever in the wedding photos. The Ceremony space /Cocktail hour + The Dinner That day was the day we became husband and wife and the sunlight and decorations all exuded the feeling we had! I/we loved EVERYTHING!!!! You guys KNOW what you are doing! It just was simply beautiful!!!! I LOVED how the center piece ideas all came together the hue of the wedding CAME TO LIFE! The food was so delicious! The chicken was tasty and the sirloin was tender! We ate at dinner and also later in the suite! There was so much food. We really felt regal!!!! Our families were having such a good time that, the speech portion got competitive in the most humorous way, but we appreciated how Melissa and Anna, just rolled with it! it was way more speeches than we expected too :). Dance/ Party/ Announcement/and The MUSIC The music WAS LIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG Benha is the bomb.com... and we mean that ish!!! He read us as a couple and hit everything on the nail musically! Our entire wedding had such a good time on the dance floor. I could NOT stop dancing! Scott is not a huge dancer, but when he met me in our earlier days, and when ever there's good music, he knew to find me on the dance floor! Thank you Benha for making the music so good that I never wanted to sit down and my 70 year old daddy never wanted to leave (as he so claimed earlier)! We had the best time of our LIVES! I don't know when I will be able to dance like that again. We also want to shot out Anna for bustling my DRESS! She did that within seconds and it looked way better than what the fitter told us to do! Talk about going the EXTRA mile....The extra mile, Anna did everything from bringing us kid friendly appetizers, and all the way down to drying our daughter Melanie's wet sneakers, and as well as standing in solidarity with me about NOT going to the rooftop after the rainfall, to avoid wetting my dress even though the videographer was VERY persistent. Those special touches made the day very special! To our bartender Karl, we really appreciated the great drinks that were flowing, and also for making sure my baby nephew had his bottle filled with milk at any given moment! Appreciation all around! I have to say Caio, this experience was more than just getting married in a beautiful venue. Your staff, made us feel like family at every turn and was there to attend to every single need. My nephew got pizza sauce on my veil and all I remember was both Anna and Karl, cleaning it within seconds with club soda! Your staff is impeccable and what you all do on a weekly basis is very special! You have the ability to make married couples feel that they are the kings and queens of their special day! Forever grateful, Jade and Scott!!!! 6-2-2019

I work in the service industry and as such do many of our guests, and we were all impressed by everything that came out of the kitchen. Our DJ Ben who, by the way, is an actual DJ and not a guy with an iPod, made our dance party killer. It was really cool to have a talent like Ben as a part of our night: it's obvious he can do so much more than spin at weddings but was great at that nonetheless. The Deity crew helped us plan from beginning to end and were always responsive, patient and excited for us. The space is as beautiful as you see in pictures if not more. Highly recommend renting the bridal suite as well: we didn't stay overnight because we live nearby, but it was a great (and spacious) place for our wedding parties to hang during the day and take pictures before the ceremony. Caio made sure we were fully stocked with beer and our photographers had easy access to the roof for our group photos and first look. It's a really beautiful space and it's well worth it! I almost wish we had an excuse to throw another party there. We can't recommend/thank Deity enough.

We booked a tour in November and as soon as I entered the ceremony space I gasped at how beautiful the space is. This is when I knew we had to pick this location. The email exchanges were so professional and the staff answered every single question I had. This being such a big moment in my life, you can just imagine all of the things that rush through your mind, but each email response reassured me everything was going to work out. I met with Caio for a planning meeting in February and he was able to accommodate my vegan diet and made some delicious suggestions for the rest of my guests. As the wedding day approached, I emailed back and forth with Melissa to iron out all of the day of details and she assured me everything would be beautiful. When I arrived to the venue, oh my goodness. I was blown away. The backdrop we used was set up perfectly and from the moment I stepped into the venue, I was treated like a queen. After the ceremony, Melissa and Anna (the second day of coordinator who was incredibly helpful as well) made sure my husband and I had a moment to ourselves with the hors d'oeuvres that were being served. Thank goodness because once we joined our guests, we were so busy chatting that we would not have had a chance to eat. Thank you, Melissa. The guests raved about how good the food was and how much fun they were having. Even though we were running behind schedule, Melissa and Anna did not rush us or even let us know we were running behind. They were so calm and kept checking in on us throughout the night. Again, my guests all said the venue was beautiful and the atmosphere was full of love and peace. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Deity. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again. Thank you Caio and the Deity team, you made my wedding dreams come true. I wish you continued success and doing the same for future couples.
