We first met Monika for our engagement shoot back in August 2019 and we fell in love with her! Monika called us a couple of weeks before our wedding to discuss the time line and to go over our photo list of shots we wanted on the day of. On the day of the wedding the team showed up a few minutes early and got right to taking photos and video and made me and my bridal party and parents laugh a lot! And through out the whole night they were amazing and got everything we discussed and the photos just came back yesterday and they are all so amazing we love them all! I would 100% recommend them !

He stayed with us through the sunset to get those pictures and we were so grateful! During our wedding he worked well with the videographer to get the shots that were necessary. He was so creative and made us feel comfortable and have fun throughout the whole day. We were rushing to beat the rain after the ceremony and he organized the photos well to make sure we got them in before it rained. He was working all through cocktail hour – making sure he got the pictures we wanted and would check in with us throughout the night to make sure we got all the pictures with all the people that were needed. We did not do the reveal which made it tough on time but he made the best of it and made sure we got all the pictures (weather permitting) to allow us to make it to the end of cocktail hour. We did have an extended cocktail hour which also helped. All his hard work paid off because our photos are beautiful! There are so many photos to choose from even without the reveal! They are also really great to work with in the post wedding time like when making your album and thank yous! Alan and Barbara are a pleasure to talk to and they really want to make sure that you are happy and receive the products you want. They are always available to be contacted, which brides know is very important! We have not finalized our album yet however we know that it will come out just the way we want it and we are in great hands! We used Déjà Vu Studios for our video as well. There were not many reviews about their videos when we decided to book but we wanted to go with the same vender to make things easy and I am so glad we did! Our videographer was a behind the scenes kind of guy but he always made sure he was there for the important shots! 3 weeks following our wedding we got an email requesting song selections for our wedding video and our finalized video was ready about 8 weeks later! We just received the video and the trailer and it was like reliving the day all over again! We were torn whether we wanted a video and we are so happy we decided to do it because it is a great thing to have! The video did exactly what we wanted it to do. We wanted to see the moments we missed during the day and the moments we wanted to relive again and it did just that!

Monika was our lead photographer and she was incredible. She made sure we got every shot we wanted and had the most pleasant demeanor - making our wedding day so easy. Maria was our second photographer and she couldn’t have been better. Along with Tom, our videographer, we were thrilled with how the day went. And the final products - pictures and videos - made everything better. Deja Vu prides itself in its work and it shows. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

en looking for a photographer, my husband and I wanted someone that did both photo and video so the most important part of our day would be in the hands of one company that already worked well together. We were aware that a large chunk of our budget would be for photography because that to use was the most crucial of vendors. Deja Vu happened to be a vendor at the North Ritz Club and upon entering their studio in Mineola, I was immediately taken aback by their stunning work. We booked with them and they gave us a great packaged. Our engagement shoot photographer was the amazing Monika Robinson, who trekked through the snow on a cold March day for our shoot and her passion and dedication carried through to our wedding day. From answering my calls and emails, going over my preferred photos list and making sure my album was absolutely perfect, Deja Vu was at the top of their game when it came to photographing and preserving my wedding day. I was probably the biggest pain to Alan, but he was more than happy to ensure that my husband and I were completely satisfied. Tom stitched our wedding video together beautifully and as an organized Type_A control freak who had no control over how to cut and edit a video, it came out lovely. Monika, Jennifer, Tom and David didn't miss a beat on the day, taking their own creative liberties to deliver stunning photos at Mill Neck Manor and the North Ritz Club. It was Monika who drove us to our wedding reception after our Rolls Royce broke down after our shoot! We received our physical proofs within a week or so, about 1,300 photos to look through! When it came to the album, I was still a crazy bride, making sure any wisp of hair could be edited, photos could be cropped and that the filters were exactly what I wanted for an album. They even removed my garter when fell down to my ankle and edited my dress when a part of it was tucked under a cushion! Probably more involved in the alum layout than the average bride, Deja Vu handled my annoyingness with grace :) They also framed and matted my 16x20 photo beautifully and offered complete honesty when I was unsure of which photos to include. Next week I celebrate my three year wedding anniversary and will recommend Deja Vu Studios to any couple looking to capture their perfect wedding day. Not only is he talented but he makes everyone feel comfortable. My bridal party could not believe how quickly he learned their names. Other wedding vendors that day could not believe how professional he was; they plan on recommending him to future clients. Mallory, the assistant, was just as wonderful and helpful throughout the day. Tom, our videographer, was absolutely great as well. He has even contacted us quickly regarding edits to our video. Honestly, they were probably my favorite vendors to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process.

fter my sister's wedding, so we didn't even look anywhere else. We had Brian take our engagement pictures and each and everyone was so beautiful! Not only that, he made us feel super comfortable during something that can be kind of awkward. On the day of the wedding, Brian and the entire crew worked SO HARD making sure that everyone was posed correctly, running around adjusting lighting and moving objects in and out of shots. They were literally working from 2pm until the end of the wedding- I don't think they had a moment to stop! Alan (the owner) even came to our wedding and shot some video!! I thought that was really cool. We splurged and got 2 photographers and 2 videographers and I am so glad we did because the day goes by in such a blur that the pictures and videos are the only things that help you hold on to the day! Highly recommend Deja Vu to any bride and groom looking to capture their day!!

They had some really creative ideas and followed a lot of our ideas that we thought of on the spot. It was really nice to be around people like that because your photographers are basically with you all day and we felt comfortable and at ease. My only smalllll complaint is we have no pictures at all of our wedding bands : ( my husband had them beforehand and we only had one photographer with me but no pictures were ever taken later in the night and my beautiful open backndress was always covered with my veil. The day flew by so fast we never realized it but overall I would recommend them hands down. Monica did a phenomenal job I still can't believe the pictures are real because they look like their out of a magazine. She captured the best picture of my husbands reaction as I walked down the aisle, as well as other candid shots! Thank you deja vu for everything. We will be making our albums soon!!

We cannot say enough about Deja Vu Studios and recommend them for every type of event you have that requires photography, videography, or graphic design. Let me start from the beginning. My husband and I had a big wedding at a very fancy venue. Our guests were among some of the world's key players. We interviewed a few fancy NYC photographers and they all seemed to have major attitudes. We were worried that if we had to pose in front of someone with a big attitude or a big ego, we might not look natural or relaxed. We kept searching and searching and everywhere we went--from lighting vendors to cake vendors to band offices--we kept seeing photos taken by Deja Vu Studios. We became curious, and when both our florist and lighting designer recommended Deja Vu Studios in the same week, we had to check them out. Deja Vu was a complete breath of fresh air. Alan and his team are humble, kind, gracious, prompt, and...the best part...they take PHENOMENAL photos. They are artists, lighting designers, directors, and masters of photography technique all wrapped in one. The photos we got from Deja Vu could literally be in a magazine--the lighting, artistic sense, and quality just exude grace and glamour. Oh--and since their prices are better than the snooty Manhattan photographers, we were able to buy more from them-- a longer video, an extra album, more prints, etc. Our photographer, David, was so kind and a really positive, funny, and relaxed person; he has a genuine ability to read people, and was able to capture moments that no other photographer could. His gentle and kind way with the camera makes even the most camera shy person ask him to take their photo. Because every wedding day is so intense, most of our memories of the details of our wedding are preserved in the photos and videos. As such, we invested a tremendous amount of time in selecting the right photographer. Deja Vu Studios far, far, far exceeded our expectations in every way. We will use them throughout our lives-- we plan to have Deja Vu photograph birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events for us for years to come. Thank you Deja Vu--we made the moment, but you made the memory.

Based on our personalities and the visions we had in mind, Alan had us work with his two photographers Brian and David. These two guys…. WOW. LOVE them. Brian and David had both contacted us a few times before the wedding to get to know us a little better and we hit it off instantly. My husband has always dreaded the idea of photographers on our wedding day (the demands, aggression, the rushing, the pushiness etc…)-- but on our wedding, he was BLOWN away. Brian and David made us feel SOOO comfortable on our wedding day. They knew how to make it fun and keep us calm. Our wedding was on NYE at Crest Hollow- a few photos we're taken outside in the freezing cold, but that didn't matter because they made it fun. We've already seen a small handful of photos from the day and they are incredible! We are at the edge of our seats for more! (Also… a BIG plus- every time something fun caught my eye happening with our guests, I'd look around for Brian or David only to realize they were already on it!) So happy I used Deja Vu Studios for our wedding,… I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

I was not asking for anything complicated, simple things like my dad loves to take pictures, what would be included in the package and for what price, etc. He won't include the names of the photographers that will do your wedding, he retains the right to remove people from your wedding and literally says that you cannot have another photographer at your wedding, even if they are unprofessional. What does that mean? Lots of people will be taking pictures at my wedding! hello, selfies?! He was not responsive and dragged this along for weeks and would not consider one change to the contract. Terrible. I met with a ton of photographers and the one we went with was much kinder and patient and frankly more our style where deja vu certainly has more of a guido style.

I was able to get the times and confirm when everyone should be arriving from the start of the day until the end. They both were great to work with. As the day came, the photographer, Mike, and his assistant were absolutely awesome. They were patient as I was scrambling around like a crazy person. Just as I went over with Brian, the pictures were done in almost the exact order. If I felt I missed a picture, Mike was super accommodating to take whatever picture I had asked for. They were so easy to work with and I have complete confidence some amazing pictures were taken.

After seeing Jose’s work, we requested him as one of our photographers for the wedding with Alan. Alan as always was able to accommodate us with that request.Deja Vu was very precise with all of the scheduled follow-ups prior to the wedding date. On our wedding day, we had 2 photographers, 2 videographers and an assistant. Bride and Groom each got ready in their separate homes, the entire crew arrived on time to both of our homes. The crew was with us for the entire day. They met us at our ceremony location, then the garden for pictures, and finally at our reception for the rest of the night. Throughout the whole day, they were helpful, even fixing my dress for photos, to make it look perfect. We recently picked up our proofs from Déjà Vu and all of our photos are absolutely stunning! Hiring a photographer for your wedding is such an important decision because they are capturing moments that you will cherish forever. We couldn’t have made a better decision when selecting our photographer/videographer. Thank you Déjà vu for helping us carry these special moments forever and allowing us to relive them. They even showed us some of the shots on their camera screen! From the few that I have seen so far I am impressed. I cannot wait to get the proofs!
