Delamar's team was smooth, organized, and professional for my wedding weekend: they organized all my decor, assisted my vendors, and made sure someone was always present to check on bride+groom the entire day. They brought all the small details I imagined to life and arranged our items even better than I had planned!
The venue itself overlooking Mystic River is gorgeous: all our guests were blown away by the views and the feeling of luxury. The hotel rooms were above and beyond too; everyone said they were so unique and had the beauty of a museum. Beyond looks, my wedding weekend was perfect because the entire staff went above and beyond: the valets, front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, chef, servers, and of course our wedding team (special acknowledgment to Nicole & Liz, all the banquet managers, and Issac who helped us with food/drink all night!). All our friends and family were so impressed with the level of hospitality, grace, and care that went into our wedding day. I would recommend the Delamar to anyone looking for a beautiful coastal wedding with elegance, class, and a quintessential New England vibe.

Delamar Mystic is truly an amazing wedding venue. Our vision was brought to life for our CT coastal wedding. The team at Delamar was easy to work with. During the planning process we were able to have a one on one tasting and walk through. Leading up to the wedding the team was organized and timeline oriented. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony space overlooks the Mystic River and is peaceful and romantic. The cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the river was definitely a highlight, as were the delicious cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and raw bar! The reception space was beautiful with large windows allowing for natural light, an intimate feel and an incredible team. Everything was perfect -- from the set up (the team did a great job setting up all of our details), the food, the timeline, etc. We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Delamar Mystic!

ful sunset. Funny enough, the Delamar Mystic wasn't originally on our list. While driving to tour other venues one day, we passed a beautiful building right on the water that immediately caught both of our attention. On a whim, we decided to turn around and see what it was.
At the time, the hotel was still finishing construction and preparing for its soft opening the following weekend. By chance, there were staff members inside who were kind enough to show us around. The moment we saw the lobby, guest rooms, restaurant, and waterfront, something clicked. After touring several other venues, this was the first place where we could actually envision our wedding.
There was certainly an element of trust involved in booking a brand-new hotel that was only beginning its first wedding season, and naturally there were some growing pains along the way. But ultimately, we couldn't be happier with our decision or with how beautifully everything came together.
Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for. The setting was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and being directly on the Mystic River gave us opportunities that made the day uniquely ours. One of our favorite moments was chartering a small boat and sailing into cocktail hour, which was such a fun and memorable way to make our entrance. Being next to the Mystic Seaport Museum made something like that possible and is such a special feature of the location.
We also highly recommend booking the cabin for the bridal party. It is incredibly spacious and was the perfect place for everyone to get ready together that morning. Having such a comfortable, dedicated space made the getting-ready portion of the day that much more enjoyable.
Brian, our coordinator at the Delamar, was extremely helpful throughout the process and helped us navigate all the details that came with planning a wedding at a new venue. We also held our after-party at the hotel's restaurant, which was the perfect way to continue celebrating without asking our guests to travel somewhere else at the end of the night.
There is something very special about knowing we were among the first couples to celebrate our wedding at the Delamar Mystic. We took a chance on a brand-new venue after discovering it completely by accident, and it turned into exactly the waterfront wedding we had been hoping for. Looking back, that spontaneous decision to turn the car around feels like it was meant to be. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting for our wedding.

From start to finish, the staff was truly exceptional. They brought our vision to life in every way, and the entire weekend felt seamless and so thoughtfully executed. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and our guests are still raving about how incredible the food and service were.
A special thank you to Brian, who was our main point of contact throughout the planning process. I truly can't say enough great things about him - he was kind, patient, and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. At one point during cocktail hour, he even personally brought me a plate of food to make sure I had a chance to eat!

the worst communication. I would not get a response for weeks and with multiple follow up emails and calls. We also had a room block at the hotel which proved to be a separate issue and headache in planning. Day of the rehearsal, our event was supposed to begin at 5pm, and they were not done setting up until 5:30. Overall, very dissatisfied with our experience. This was just a 25 person event and I felt they could not even manage it appropriately.
