mportant parts of the day for me. I looked through probably 30-40 photographers for my Philadelphia wedding (from Boston down to D.C.). I first narrowed down photographers based on their reviews, then by the look of their photos (not just on sites like The Knot/Wedding Wire but on their websites). I ended up writing a few emails and finally making 3-4 phone appointments with photographers I thought fit the style I had and the budget that I wanted. Delaney was the sweetest and most personable photographer I spoke with! She really sounded like she was invested in what I wanted my wedding photos to look like and really got to know myself and my fiance (as much as you can in 30-45 min phone call). As soon as I got off the phone, I knew she was the one! From a style standpoint, I love that her photos are so bright and happy. They really make you feel like you're looking back on a dream. When she asked me to use one word to describe my wedding, I said "ethereal" and boy did she deliver. From a service standpoint, Delaney was so accommodating and flexible! She tailored her wedding package to exactly what we wanted, and was flexible enough to make changes even up to the month before the wedding! The day after our wedding, we already had a handful of preview photos! A couple weeks later, we saw more photos that were posted on her blog! Before it was a month out, I already had all of my digital photos. I couldn't believe it! She was super communicative the whole time. She didn't push selling wedding albums although she does provide that service if you want to order through her! We spoke on the phone/via email probably the most out of all of my vendors. On my wedding day, once we met it felt like I'd already known her! It made it so much easier to pose naturally in front of her. She and her assistants made us feel so at ease, our photos turned out great! She gave us just enough direction to get some great angles/shots, but made us feel comfortable enough to be ourselves. Multiple people in our bridal party mentioned how easy it was to work with her whole team! Throughout the day, we were pulled all over the place, but she made sure she reminded us when we needed to take sunset photos, cake-cutting, private reception photos, etc. all the while capturing all the guests throughout cocktail hour and reception. It was like she and her team were everywhere at once! Our wedding was beautiful and one of the happiest days of our life. I could not imagine having anyone else but Delaney Dobson capture those moments for us.

Where our wedding reception and venue was held, Delaney has never been to, but that didn’t stop her. She knew exactly how to pose us (especially for my wife and I who are awkward people and don’t know how to act in front of a camera lol – honestly, we couldn’t stop laughing, but she took so many shots of us, they turned out better than I could ever imagine) and where the best places would be to go for photos. She captured every moment of the day so perfectly, I honestly cannot stop saying that. Delaney made sure that all of the wedding day details and scheduling were taken care of at least a week before our wedding so that there was nothing for us to worry about! She captured the most beautiful and creative photos from our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the finished photos! To top it all off, she sends all of our photos on a personalized USB in a cool personalized box. And if you think that is all, Delaney goes above and beyond and also creates a blog post of our wedding day that we are able to share that with all our friends and family. The best and easiest decision of our wedding was booking Delaney. She was by far worth every penny. We cannot begin to thank Delaney for what she did. Our wedding would not have been the same without her. All of her personal touches really made her a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend Delaney for your weddings.

I chose a package that included an engagement shoot, which was probably one of the best decisions I could have made. A couple days ago I had my engagement shoot on a farm and it was the first time I met Delaney in person and she was very welcoming. Almost like I was meeting up with a friend and she was taking my pictures….but these pictures were so much better than any of my friends could ever do lol. She had amazing ideas for the pictures. She knew exactly where to place us she told us do to certain things that kind of felt awkward but then she would show us the pictures on the camera and we were shocked because they looked so natural. Everything looked amazing (got to feel like a model for a couple hours). She was even willing to jump in some bushes to take pictures just so they would look good. Honestly, I only have good things to say. I highly recommend her, couldn’t be happier with my photos and she is extremely timely with getting back to you whether it is just answering questions or sending photos. I had my engagement shoot emailed to me the next day to be able to review. Can’t wait to see what she is going to be able to do for my wedding.

She made our photo sessions so much fun and comfortable but was still professional. Something I really loved that she did: We got married in the winter. It was cold and snowing at one point. Instead of having us freeze in the cold, she would go out, test all her lighting and angles. Then, she prepped us with poses while still inside. When we got outside, she captured all the shots quickly – then done, back inside. The results were stunning! Delaney is a master at her art, and we highly recommend her! She shot every photo on our wish list and was very organized so we didn't have to worry about tracking her down to make sure that we got certain pictures. Lastly, the photo book included in the package was amazing. She lets you select your favorite photos and then she works her magic to arrange them all. The quality of the book was also much better than I expected (really thick expensive feeling pages). I would hire her again without hesitation.

I also used her boudoir session to create a 'little black book' for, my now Hubby, for his night before our wedding. Our wedding was very low-key and go with the flow. Delaney jumped right into the day without any hesitation, and didn’t try to shape our day into anything else. She was very laid back and friendly to everyone, and made a great impression on our family and guests. There were a few photos that I wanted to be sure we got, and Delaney captured them beautifully. I don’t know how she did it, but the photos from our actual ceremony look like we had multiple photographers there! There are photos of everyone and from every angle, and no two photos are alike. My husband and I have a hard time getting comfortable in posed photos, and end up making goofy faces, Delaney helped us figure out how to get comfortable, wonderful shots and talked us through our nervousness. None of our photos look staged or cheesy, she really captured all the love of the day. We have no complaints about our experience, and would use the photographer’s services again. We love the recommendation cards we got, and the presentation of our photo flashdrive.
