First of all, congratulations! If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the whirlwind of venue hunting — full of questions, decisions, and unknowns — and I’m here to tell you tha...
t choosing Chateau Lill will be the best decision you make in this process (besides saying “I do,” of course).
When you’re searching for a venue, you naturally consider things like aesthetics, size, hours, and vendor partnerships. Anyone who tours or even looks at photos of Chateau Lill can see that it checks every box for a stunning, elegant wedding. But what truly makes Chateau Lill an A+ venue is the incredible partnership and support you receive from their team.
As a self-admitted Type A planner, I had a lot of questions throughout the process. Morgan at Chateau Lill was responsive, knowledgeable, and kind every step of the way. She knows the local vendor scene inside and out and offered thoughtful recommendations that made our day shine. Between my mom and me, we sent plenty of emails — and Morgan responded to every one with detailed, thoughtful answers that could honestly be used as a masterclass in hospitality.
Chateau Lill also hosts preview days, which are such a fun and helpful part of the planning process — perfect for finalizing vendors, reviewing details, or simply getting excited for your big day.
A few weeks before our wedding day, Bre from the Chateau Lill team sat down in person at the venue with me, my mom, my now-husband, our day-of coordinator, and our caterer to go over the full timeline, rentals, and logistics to ensure everything was seamless. Because of that preparation, we were completely stress-free on the wedding day.
If you value details, organization, and a true partnership in your wedding journey, I cannot recommend Chateau Lill enough.
Note: this venue is now called Chateau Lill. We picked Chateau Lill for our wedding venue because of how stunning the grounds are, the variety of possible spaces we could use for o...
ur wedding, and the fact that we would have the entire place all to ourselves. We got lucky enough to have sun and 70 degree weather on the day of our wedding, so we got to do the ceremony on the upper lawn area, cocktail hour at the gazebo by the pond, dinner underneath the large tent, and dancing inside the chateau itself. But we liked that if it had been rainy we could have alternated between the tent and chateau spaces without too much hassle. It was great to have a bridal suite and a separate place for the groom and groomsmen to hang out and get ready before the ceremony; this venue also has plenty of parking, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen for the caterer to use – what more could you ask for? Our photographer loved all the beautiful sites outside and inside where he could stage photos for us. This venue is more expensive than some (and you’ll need to pay separately for all the chair and table rentals), but you’re getting a private oasis for your wedding! The director, Robbi, was easy to work with and very responsive. Definitely check out Chateau Lill if you want a romantic, private winery wedding in the Seattle area.
Delille was the most stunning venue offering so much both inside and out. It was a dream. The site manager Robbi was so easy to work with throughout the entire process and was very...
prompt in responding to my questions. Delille itself offered a garden oasis with trees, views, a pond and bridge, alpacas and a beautiful European inspired chateau. The inside was full of beautiful chandeliers, wine barrels etc that all made the décor so beautiful. The venue is gorgeous and well thought-out I rarely needed any additional decorations as Delille provided it all. The groom room was exactly what the men needed and the bridal suite was nice and spacious. Highly highly recommend!
My husband and I got married here about two weeks ago! This place is magical. I fell in love with DeLille after my first tour, I knew it was where we should get married. Our guests...
loved it! It’s like a little slice of Europe right in the Woodinville area. You don’t feel like you’re in Seattle when you are there! They have so many hidden books and crannys. A beautiful pond and so much more! I would highly recommend getting married here! We received so many compliments on our venue. Not to mention it’s very private! Diane is the coordinator there and she is very responsive and very helpful!
I wanted to book this for our wedding venue as soon as I saw the pictures online. At first visit, I was even more excited, seeing the beautiful scenery in person. There are amazing...
photographic spots all over the grounds, the chateau itself is gorgeous, and Diane is so wonderful to work with! The venue has lots of space, but felt intimate at the same time. It was the perfect balance for us, as we had a smaller ceremony (with 50 guests). The chateau is wonderfully decorated, so we didn't need to do much on our end. Also, the fireplace made for a beautiful alter on it's own, and allowed us to have the look we were going for, without having to do the extra work! The pricing was extremely reasonable, though we did have our wedding off-season. DeLille even offered to split the cost of the tent, since we had the wedding one day before the winery had their annual event. (We were so appreciative of that!) For the reception, everyone was seated comfortably on the patio, and that space turned into game tables once it was party time. (It was a perfect set up for those who have kids at their wedding.) The entire staff was extremely friendly and the wine is great! Plus, being brand new to the area, Diane was an amazing first contact in the wedding planning process!
DeLille is absolutely beautiful and we felt lucky to have our ceremony and reception there. The coordinator was responsive and easy to work with. Can't recommend it enough!
The chateau is very well maintained and landscape is beautiful. If you're looking for a outdoor wedding in a natural setting , this is going to be your venue! It is so beautiful th...
at a minimal decoration was needed for my wedding. Outdoor wedding by the pond was cool even in summer because of the trees and shades. Diane has been really helpful and super nice throughout the entire process. My wedding was perfect at DeLille!

lassic décor inside meant that very little additional décor was necessary. We were married in the main room in front of the fireplace and it was so romantic. We were lucky with the weather and it was a beautiful fall day, but even if it had been raining everything still would have been great. Our guests were very complimentary of the venue. We would definitely recommend DeLille for a wedding!
We absolutely loved DeLille Cellars Chateau. The property is gorgeous and well kept.

l and he was so kind; he even gave us a very generous wedding gift (Go Hawks!).
The venue didn't come with any rentals or catering. Which we didn't mind, it really helped us make our wedding day personalized.

g it on our wedding day all set up was really incredible. It is immersed in green and everything is kept up so well. My husband is Italian and we were trying to include a little Italian feel in our special day and the landscape and the views definitely gave it a Tuscan countryside feel. Our ceremony was held outside and it felt to magical.
Guests still tell us how breathtaking the venue was. I am so happy that we chose to get married here and would highly recommend it!

taking, and the staff are so very pleasant to work with. Arriving at DeLille is like stepping into the European Countryside (sans the 12 hour flight). Just between Woodinville and Redmond, it is very convenient to folks coming from all over the Seattle area.
I toured about 7 venues prior to finding DeLille, and I am so glad that I didn't settle for a venue (I was close, because I got tired of looking). There are so many old victorian houses as wedding venues -- which is just our thing. DeLille is one of a kind.
We got married on the 4th of July, and had such a perfect day. The wine was divine, and our wedding could not have been more perfect. Thank you DeLille!!!
My husband and I feel in love with DeLille while attending a progressive wine dinner prior to our engagement. A week after our engagement (February 9, 2011), we booked DeLille and ...
the first available date for a Saturday was September 1, 2012 – we had to wait 19 months. If your dream wedding is to get married at DeLille during the summer time, make sure to book your venue first. Compared to other venues in the Seattle area, DeLille is quite spendy but you getting great service and a full package. You have the venue for a full 12 hours, decorations (wine barrels, firewood, candles, tea lights, flowers, wood tables, wine boxes, etc.), and a beautiful grounds (gazebo, immaculate landscaping, trees, flower baskets, vines, sheep, ponds, fire pit). We had a s’mores station which was a huge hit. The Estate Manager, Diane Pollard is wonderful to work with. She is flexible, responsive and you can tell she really wants you to have the wedding of your dreams. Since our wedding was on Labor Day Weekend, there were 5 weddings (Thursday – Monday) and Diane introduced all the brides so we could share rentals which saved us a significant amount of money. You are also able to bring in any vendor you choose and can bring your own alcohol ($10 corking fee for non-DeLille wine), which was nice. The only downfall to the venue was the bathrooms. There is one downstairs and one upstairs in the bridal suite. Prior to our ceremony, people were coming up to the bridal suite to use the rest room which was annoying. Overall, this was our dream venue and guests are still raving about how beautiful our wedding was.
We fell in love with DeLille instantly. The price was a little steep, so opted for a less-expensive weekday wedding and DeLille helped by introducing all the brides getting married...
that weekend so we could share some rentals.
The grounds are spectacular and made for amazing photos. DeLille throws in lots of extras to make it easier to decorate (hundreds of candles/candelabras, flowers from the grounds, wine barrels, firewood and more) and the staff is very nice.
I missed the part in our contract where we needed to buy a case of their wine, so it was a little bit of a bummer when we found that out. Since we don't drink much wine, $32+/bottle was a little hard to chew.
Aside from the cost, DeLille was amazing and I wouldn't change our decision. In fact, I keep asking my husband if we can do it there again in 10 years :-)
But if there was one thing I could change about DeLille, it would be to have more restrooms. There is one downstairs and another upstairs (where the bridal changing area is), but it isn't enough. While we were signing our marriage certificate and getting my dress bustled, guests kept coming up to use the restroom and it was pretty annoying.
Ultimately, DeLille provided the perfect venue for our garden wedding for 110 guests.
Absolutely beautiful grounds, including ponds, trees, gazebo, wonderful landscaping. The chateau itself transports you to a European setting. Diane Pollard is a great person to w...
ork with, and DeLille is very accommodating when it comes to the scheduling and set-up of your event. We had the pleasure to hold our wedding at DeLille this past July, and everyone loved the venue. The only negatives I would give is that they only have 2 restrooms; one on the bottom floor near the entry to the chateau, and the other is in the bridal suite upstairs (no bathroom on the event floor). It would be nice to have paved paths leading up to the large beautiful pond, and leading up to the flat space where most wedding ceremonies take place. Overall though, I still give DeLille 5 stars.
The most picturesque outdoor setting for a wedding ever! If it rains, there's a gorgeous indoor space also. Property manager is easy to work with, and you can use whatever caterer ...

bsolutely perfect. The grounds are stunning as is the building. It is already very beautiful, so not a lot of decoration is necessary, which is really nice! DeLille only books one wedding/event per day, so you get the venue for a full 12 hours for pictures, set up, etc. Diane is great to work with, flexible and very responsive. Despite some crazy winter weather, we could not have asked for a more special and perfect day at DeLille.

o work with. When we went to look at the venue, she poured us a glass of wine and let us take our time looking at the chateau and the grounds. We fell in love with the incredible beauty of the venue and we knew it was perfect for the outdoor wedding that I had always wanted. Diane even put me in contact with the couple that was getting married the day before us, so we could split the costs of our weekend tent, table and chair rentals. It saved both couples a significant amount of money and we greatly appreciated her thoughtfulness.
Months later, we still have people commenting on how beautiful the wedding was and how much they loved DeLille. We were blessed with beautiful weather for the outdoor ceremony tucked away in the trees by the pond, cocktail hour in the gazebo, dinner and reception on the patio and a long night of dancing in the romantic chateau. My husband and I could not have been any happier with our choice of venue for our wedding. It was perfect.
Also, DeLille Cellars was named "Best Place for Intimate Weddings" by Seattle Bride Magazine in 2011, so if you are considering it for your wedding, book early!
Living in a location known for its overcast and rainy days, we knew we needed a location whose interior was just as special as the exterior, and that we would need equal access to ...
both. Out of the wineries we looked at that would be a good fit for the number of people we expected (around 100, but they can accommodate a larger party), only DeLille Cellars truly captured the feeling we were looking for. Outside, where we intended to have the ceremony, there is a pond next to a clearing, surrounded by trees. It's a very intimate setting, with electrical outlets run out to plug in speakers or any other equipment you may need.
We ended up moving the ceremony indoors due to high winds, rather than rain. Our guests were still encouraged to wander around outside and explore the area, and we were still able to have our photos done outdoors. We did not feel let down at all by the change. We stood in front of the large fireplace, and candles were lit around the room, giving it an intimate feeling. The room has exposed beams and tapestries on the wall, giving the hall a very classic, warm and welcoming feel.
DeLille Cellars coordinates only one wedding per day, so you do not have to worry about timing. The 12 hours you have there are completely yours. No one is going to run over time forcing you to push things back, and you get to chose which 12 hours you want, they are not set hours!
When we reserved the space, they gave us a list of preferred vendors, but did not require that we use them. We went with one of the suggested caterers because they know how to best use the space, and their food really was superb!
Being a winery, the wines are fantastic! Naturally they encourage you to purchase and serve theirs, but you don’t have to. There is NO corkage fee for bringing in outside wines that they do not have an equivalent of, and they allow you to work through your caterer to have a full bar.
I couldn't have asked for a better venue! It was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was great to work with, too. I loved how we had free reign of the place all day, they don't stack...

ve the perfect amount of shade from the sun. We also had our reception here in the winery. It was perfect size for our 200 people wedding. Everyone had room inside for dancing and we had all our tables outside under a part tent. Delille Cellars made my wedding a fairytale wedding.
People loved our wedding location and so did I. Delille is a beautiful outdoor location. We didn't even really need any decorations since the pond, and flowers were so nice. If ...
you have a lot of people who are mobility challenged, you might want to reconsider. There are hills and gravel and few bathroom options for those in wheelchairs. The beauty of this venue really made out wedding.
