could not use our original venue for a smaller event. We frantically contacted a number of places until we found this venue. First, Kelly, our wedding coordinator was a DREAM to work with and was super accommodating to our smaller dinner event (40 people) and our guests needs. We had multiple people coming to our dinner who had mobility issues and issues getting up and down out of chairs. Kelly went above and beyond and weeks before the wedding ran around the hotel measuring how high all the different chairs they had available to see if they had ones that worked. There was also a moment at the beginning of the wedding where a guest came up to me to say a particularly type of liquor wasn't available at the bar and before I could even get a word out, Kelly came right up to me and said she had just added it to the bar and we were good to go. She truly went above and beyond for us throughout the whole process, but she really shined the day of. Second, the McCormick Suite! This was the big game changer for us as we needed a new place for the bridesmaids to have their hair done and get ready. The McCormick suit was a beautifully appointed room with four connecting guestrooms so that all my bridesmaids and I could stay together the night before and meet in the middle room to have hair and makeup done in the morning. Third and foremost, the food. The food we had for our dinner was amazing and we got a lot of compliments on it throughout the event. The chef that cooked the meal had actually left the hotel staff a few weeks earlier to take care of his mother and came back just especially for our event! It was a truly magical day and if I could do it over again, I'd book this hotel every. time.

HIGHLY recommend them! So my husband and I went to tour the venue in January of 2019, it was our first time being at the hotel and we instantly loved the charm and feel of the hotel. Then we met Sarah Kelley, our absolutely incredible wedding coordinator. After meeting with her and touring the venue, we decided that day that was where we wanted to get married. We loved the inclusivity of having everything in one place, ceremony, reception and then not needing to transport our guests to the hotel. So that night we booked our wedding day for March 20, 2020. In the year leading up Sarah stayed in constant communication with us always available to answer my million questions and to assure me I wasn’t driving her nuts, haha. Now fast forward, just about 2 weeks before our big day we had our final planning meeting. We nailed down all the details and we’re ready to go. And then, covid really struck. We followed the news the week leading up to our big day, and just three days before we were planning to say I do, the governor placed restrictions on the number of people who could gather and our entire year of planning was stopped dead in its tracks. Sarah was incredible and was ready to help us in any way possible. We decided we still wanted to get married that day, so she made sure we were able to access the gorgeous McCormick bridal suite to say our vows with our parents and siblings. She also helped us to rebook for the big party in July. We communicated a lot this summer with Delynn, Sarah’s boss, who was also nothing short of accommodating and understanding. We ended up ultimately cancelling for July because of the restrictions, but they gave us no trouble or penalties for doing so, and I think that’s a huge thing to be noted here. I HIGHLY recommend the Delta Marriott Hunt Valley for your wedding, the entire process was amazing, even given our circumstances. Thank you to everyone there!

the wedding when we picked up our things left behind....it was all the most wonderful experience. Our reception was held in the Cinnamon Tree Restaurant and it was gorgeous!!! Before I say anything else...Sarah and the staff went above and beyond in every way!! I arrived to the church for the ceremony and we realized we left my veil in the hotel suite. Superhero Sarah, found someone to drive it to our church in time for our ceremony!! She is a miracle worker!! Sarah made the planning process so fun and easy! She was so helpful with making recommendations when we needed direction and so accommodating to every request we had!! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, the staff was so kind and quick with service! The whole event was better than I ever could've dreamed! Sarah was so helpful, she set up all my decorations exactly the way I asked. She cleaned everything up after the reception so I could continue spending time with our guests. She went above and beyond in every way! I could go on and on about how fantastic this venue was for hours!!! If you don't choose this venue, you're making a big mistake!

We received so many compliments on the food and the cake which is included in their wedding packages. The space was plenty big for our 213 guest list, with an even bigger space/option as well. The hotel staff were respectful and the hotel was very well kept and decorated. The brunch at the next day at the Cinnamon Tree was also delicious :) we would absolutely recommend this venue!

The rooms were newly renovated and very nice and clean! We were so happy that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner and post-wedding breakfast here. The food was DELICIOUS and again the service was great. Delynn helped so much as we picked our menus (and made changes)! The ballrooms are very nice and perfect for our receptions.

They let us get in early to set up, and at the last minute reserved some extra (beautiful!) photo spots for us. The space is perfect for a wedding, with areas for bridal rooms, guests changing rooms, a ceremony room, and the party room. They have staging and dance floors, and are handicap accesible! Plus easy, free parking. The Marriott was NOT my first choice venue, but I ended up very satisfied with it for our event.

Worst of all, they didn't even clean our room or make our bed on our wedding day. We came back after the wedding to an unmade made and uncleaned room. I am used to a hotel going out of their way for a wedding party and offering free amenities/upgrades to the bride and groom and they didn't even clean our room! When I complained about the service I was told they were busy because of the Preakness. For booking that many rooms, my guests and I should have been offered better service.

Delynn was completely flexible with us on every component of the planning and delivery of the event - she offered suggestions to us when we had questions and when she saw opportunities to make things easier or better for us. EVERYTHING seemed to be included in our package, and the value for the price was really wonderful. The food was delicious, we had many, many guests say, "This was the best wedding food I ever had". Sugarbakers cakes was included in the package, and they are the absolute best tasting cake in Baltimore. Chair covers and sashes, which is a lot of work for venues, were beautiful and were included in the package with no extra charge. The dance floor was so pretty, it was HUGE, and our guests complimented the venue repeatedly. If you are looking for easy planning and a great professional to work with, at a fantastic price, this is definitely the venue for you!

e during and after the reception. The entire hotel staff was friendly curteous and helpful. In addition the cake (baked by SugarBakers) came WITH the cost of the reception so we did not have to purchase that separately...we worked with the wedding coordinator to design it and she communicated with the baker. Many of the other vendors we used were preferred Marriott vendors so there was a sense of familiarity between the vendors and the wedding coordinator...everything was delivered and picked up very smoothly. The carpet was a striking modern chic design different from any other venue we'd looked at...it really showcased our fun vibrant personalities. There was a really great space in front of the ballroom for cocktails that offered room to move around for our many guests. Handpassed hors d'oeuvres and and champagne with raspberries were nice touches. In addition the hotel has a grand piano that can be utilized if desired...you just have to hire a piano player for an hour or so. Also the bridal party had a nice private suite for the cocktail hour. The lamb appetizer was amazing and we are still receiving compliments on it.;The only thing I'd warn about would be to order large quantities of anything breaded or wrapped in dough (chicken wellington for example). By the time the dish was cooked and brought out to us and our 250 guests the dough encasing the chicken was slightly soggy and the chicken dry. I would stick with something with a sauce to ensure moistness.
