DELTA HOTELS BY MARRIOTT RACINE

The entire Marriott staff was more than accommodating in every request we made for our guests and our entire wedding weekend. The let us rent out the pool area for a private party the night before the wedding since we had lots of friends from out of town, they last minute provided a shuttle to the rehearsal dinner due to bad weather, and the owner personally drive the wedding party to the venue in the morning. Every aspect of our stay was perfect and I was so happy with our decision to book our wedding block at the Marriott in Racine.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. They truly went above and beyond for us. We had the hotel shuttle provide transportation to and from our venue. The hotel and shuttle staff were incredibly accommodating in our last minute time changes and number of shuttle ride changes for our wedding. They also provided a conference room for us with our wedding block, which was helpful for the bridal party to get ready in for the day of the wedding. Would highly recommend.

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at Delta Hotels by Marriott Racine. From the start to finish, including a couple different event coordinator changes, they were wonderful!!! Craig, our event manager, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was quick to answer our questions and even on the day of, was there to make sure everything was perfect. We also used a room block which was organized and managed by Ericka and she was so accommodating! Half way to our wedding she reached out to let me know my block rate would be lower! They also honored the room block the day of the wedding, which I feel is a rare find. With our wedding package, we had a junior suite, that we would have for the wedding night. The morning of the wedding, they let me early check in at 7:00 a.m.!!! Many of my guests were able to use early check in as well. Tiffany, the banquet manager, made our rehearsal dinner and reception perfect! She kept in contact with us through out the whole event, making sure the temperature was right in the room, the food was good, etc. We chose plated meals - steak, chicken and vegetarian lasagna and we received so many compliments on the food. Our reception ballroom was spacious and the room itself is gorgeous. Our bar and photo booth were located right outside the ballroom in a beautiful hall. I liked this because it kept people moving around. They exceeded our expectations!!!!! I would choose them again!

This venue started out promising, but poor organization made for a very frustrating wedding month. The courtyard space was great for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had a buffet lunch from them for after the ceremony which was delicious and we recieved many compliments (spinach ricotta ravioli and baked zitti). Issues with the venue started once they changed management and became very difficult to work with. It would take days to get answers to simple questions and we felt we were stuck because this lack of clear communication made it difficult to coordinate with other vendors. I'm glad I saved all communication with the previous wedding coordinator because the week of the wedding we were getting quoted different prices. We signed up for the wedding package which included a complementary cocktail hour, but on our initial statement they tried to charge us for this. This added so much unnecessary stress the week of the wedding when we thought it was taken care of months prior. On the wedding day, they had signs outside the reception hall with our names on it... which they misspelled! It's not like my name wasn't on the contract, or multiple emails. On the night of the reception we forgot a large metal photo print in the ballroom that was gifted to us by our photographer. The next day I tried to get in touch with someone and was told my message would be passed on. This continued for a couple weeks when I expressed my concern about the lost picture to multiple people and was always told someone would get back to me (but never did). Finally, I realized they never applied any of my Marriott payments to my Marriott rewards account (even though my account number was In the contract). One more headache I have to deal with.
