We also did an engagement session with him and, although we were both nervous and feeling weird about it coming to the session, my husband and I left feeling really glad we did it and had a great time. We aren't "picture people," and have maybe 5 photos from 3 years of dating, so it was really nice to get some beautiful, more casual photos of just the two of us before the wedding. We are greatful to Demetrius for making it an wonderful experience for us! We had a very small wedding with only our parents in attendance, but Demetrius took great photos that captured the day in a way that didn't make it look weird or small and will give us wonderful memories to cherish for years to come. The photos came out awesome and I'm so glad Demetrius Tapia Photography was able to be part of our wedding experience!

pletely awkward. I knew having a photographer that focused on staged photos would be a no go and result in awkward poses and looks. What drew me into looking at Demetrius as a photographer was him emphasizing that he focuses on candid shots. I didn't want someone to just capture the moment, I wanted someone to capture the emotion behind that moment and I am so lucky I found Demetrius to do that. The last thing I wanted was to have 30 photos of family with the second cousins twice removed that I haven't seen in years. When it came for our engagement photos, I was so hesitant about our awkwardness showing through, but Demetrius honestly felt like one of our friends (who was just laying down on the floor to get that perfect shot :)) He is an absolute gem to work with and I could not imagine working with anyone better. He is on top of it from that first inquiry email to the very end. He is very diligent and passionate about his work and it shows through the beautiful photos he captures. He is patient, kind, and is genuinely interested in your love story. Demetrius, you are the BEST, both Jason, I and, our friends loved hanging out with you this past Friday and Saturday!

side from telling us where to stand for lighting and scenery purposes, Demetris didn't give us a whole lot of other direction which allowed for authentic, not posed, natural looking photos. The emotion captured in our photos were genuine and the photos reflect the love & joy during our engagement! Both my fiancé and I felt completely comfortable in Demetrius's presence as well, as he has a calm confidence about him. When we received our photos, I just couldn't stop looking at them!
