much effort into making his clients happy with the final product. Additionally, Denis pays close attention to every single detail to give you the best possible experience. Despite doing 5 different celebrations for our combined Sikh-Catholic wedding (Mendhi, Jaggo, Bharat, Catholic Ceremony, and the Reception) in a span of 4 days in addition to doing an earlier proposal and engagement session, Denis listened to our every need and went above and beyond expectations. He stood in the rain on a hot and humid July day during our wedding and he stood out on a cold, snowy December night to photograph our proposal. His photos are so good that I have metal prints of them all around my house. His work with light and reflection shots is unparalleled and he has an amazing talent to get candid shots that bring back warm memories and nostalgia. Every time I look at his photos, I think back to my wedding. His work is as good as his heart.

ely. They were like ninjas at our wedding moving stealthily about, capturing moments that we hadn't even seen. They weren't intrusive or pushy as some photogs can be. Our portraits weren't too "posed" or contrived, he allowed us to be ourselves and captured the essence of who we are as a couple. e signed the contract on 10/31/16). Three days after we booked him, I found out I had stage 3 cancer and would have to go through chemo, surgery, and radiation during the year leading up to our wedding. Since I already had my dress, we decided to scramble and pull together a wedding photoshoot so that we could have pictures before who-knows-what happened. So, we had the good fortune to have Denis take our wedding photos twice!
Denis made himself available on a Sunday with only 2 weeks’ notice to take our pre-chemo photos. He wore several layers of clothes so we could take pictures in the park on a 40 degree day in November. We were shivering, but the images were gorgeous. Denis plays with reflections, and depth, and light resulting in magazine-worthy shots.
Leading up to the wedding day, he was communicative. We had a shot list and timeline worked out ahead of time, which he tailored for us to make sure we got maximum party time, instead of spending the entire cocktail hour taking photos.
His style is so natural. The photos are gorgeous. A good mix of those beautiful, perfect, frame-ready shots, and candidly capturing moments throughout the day. He went above and beyond to get "that" shot. He's truly an artist, but also incredibly professional and caring. We couldn't be happier with him and his work.

ding photos, they weren't cookie-cutter - they were artistic, natural, and let the affection between the couple shine through. Denis was very responsive and answered all of our questions, and later by phone. His fee was extremely reasonable and he was able to work with our budget, which we really appreciated. He spent the whole day with us - showed up at our apartment at 9am, photographed throughout the ceremony and reception, and then took us to Prospect Park and Coney Island to take more fun, relaxed shots. At the end of the evening, we were tired and sent him home - he and his assistant were happy to keep photographing! The entire experience was enjoyable and it felt like we were hanging out with a (very professional!) friend. And, of course, the final product didn't disappoint - our photos are beautiful and are being shared widely by our friends and family. We highly recommend Denis, we couldn't imagine having had a better photographer for our wedding

from the get go. He was so easy to communicate with and when it came to the day of, we couldn't have asked for more. Denis and Peter rolled with the insane punches of the day (rooms not being ready, hotel maintenance, tardy bride & groom) and blended into the chaos with ease. I never felt overwhelmed by Denis and Peter but I also felt like they were in the mix getting all the moments I might have missed. To my surprise, some of the photos from early in the day even popped up on the screens in the hall to give our guests a sneak peak! The evening ended and we could not have been more pleased....UNTIL YESTERDAY! 4 Days after the wedding and I got an e-mail with a link to select images from our wedding, available to post and tag and share with our family and friends. The photos were stunning and everything I imagined my wedding photos to look like. Denis really understood us and my memories of the night were instantly made more vivid looking at the photos of us and everyone we love. Denis is the photographer to go to if you want the spirit of your evening captured forever. He really understands people and feelings and it was truly lovely having him as the photographer with us on that day.

There were times that we didn't even know where he was shooting from and when reviewing our photos, we were blown away with his angles and scenes he had captured. One of the best attributes about Denis' photos, is that they are not just traditional beautiful wedding poses, but unique and awe-inspiring works of art. I new as soon as seeing a few photos from one of his albums that we could not go with any other vendor for our wedding. Prior to the day of our wedding, Sean and I worked with Denis to organize a shot list and review recommended family portraits. This preparation made the day of our event so smooth and stress free. Denis’ always replied quickly to all our inquiries and even took time out for several phone calls adapting the plan to adjust for inclimate weather. The team is flexible in their ability to adapt to the mood and setting of the guests/venue. It seemed that Denis was everywhere during the party, always snapping pictures, but at the same time he was neither intrusive nor pushy about getting a shot. Denis' and Peter captured so many important moments from our wedding day. The images displayed in his portfolio are directly representative of his creative style. We are so grateful for Denis’ ability to create images with so much emotion, romance, and humor, because now we have them forever.

he camera. Denis also had the ability to capture beautiful, natural moments of the guests and us without anyone noticing. It was also a very warm day and Denis helped run around and wrangle all of our guests for the family photos. Everything was done so efficiently, but also so comfortably. We were able to truly enjoy our day. I have since been to weddings with incredibly overzealous and intrusive photographers, and I am even more grateful for my wedding experience. Denis' work is clearly proof that you don't need to endure that type of experience to end up with beautiful wedding photos!
Denis is very responsive to emails and takes care to help you create plans for your photos and event in advance. 1 week after our wedding we received previews from Denis of our photos and 6 weeks after we received a password to a private site where we could download the full set (for us it was over 600 photos for a small, intimate wedding with a lunch, no large reception).
To top it all off, Denis' prices were far more affordable than any other photographers we spoke to. We couldn't recommend Denis enough!

He managed to catch the flower girls mid-skip, the groom mid-boogie on the dance floor, and the bride mid-laugh during a toast. The photos look like they came out of a wedding magazine! On top of the fact that I think they're the best wedding photos I've ever seen, I should point out that he is incredibly reasonably-priced (Denis - you should double your prices!) Also, he sent us about 20 gorgeous edited shots just days after the wedding so that we could share them right away. Then, about five weeks later, he sent us hundreds upon hundreds of additional edited shots! The best part of all of it is that he sends you downloadable images and a thumb drive, so you don't have to pay the insane prices of having the photographer print the pictures for you. That certainly cuts down on the cost, to say the least, and allows you to put together your own photo book (which I will be giving to everyone for Christmas. Shhh! Don't tell my mom!) I cannot recommend Denis highly enough, and will certainly refer him to every single friend I have who is getting married.

I reviewed countless webpages and photos... until I found Denis Gostev Photography. The images on his site, came to life. They were not just 'run of the mill' wedding photos. Upon meeting with him and discussing our vision... it was apparent to us that he was easy to work with and he emulated our vision as well. The meeting left me with an elated feeling that we were in good hands with Denis.
The day of our wedding, Denis was the first to arrive and worked like a true professional throughout the entire day, until the last moments ticked away at the end of the evening.

meet us at our home for convenience and had great suggestions on how to really capture the day. His main interest was to tell the story in pictures, which was really important to us as well. We also had some special requests which he was more than willing to accommodate- we had a small morning ceremony and large evening reception. In between the 2 events Dennis was able to put some of the pictures from the wedding on a USB that played on TVs at the reception in a slide show for attendees to see what happened earlier in the day. It was truly special and the photos were absolutely stunning. He and his assistant were so professional and really captured the day without pictures looking staged or too posed.

We have gotten plenty of classy photos as well as unique creative shots, capturing truly precious moments. And all that without having to pose all day long. We did enjoy our day, and our photos came out very natural, reflecting real atmosphere of the party.
Also, we had an access to the gallery with plenty of great pictures just in several days! Though we hired Denis just for the ceremony, he stayed extra time for the party after giving us awesome candid photos from it!
