The Derbes Mansion owners did a great job in assisting us very professionally in an, over the top, 5 day rental for our wedding. We had one of our guests fall and damage a wall, the Derbes had it fixed in time for their next guests only charging us for the damages and returning what was left of our deposit in a timely manner. We had our wedding weekend at Derbes Mansion and we never wanted it to end! Jessica and Chris are so helpful, enthusiastic, experienced, and full of ideas. They know everyone in the NOLA wedding industry and they’ve seen it all. They know exactly what will and won’t work in their space, but they’re also willing to try anything new. We would love to work with them again. We stayed with our wedding party for three nights, and the actual house is so incredible. Our friends fell in love immediately with the interesting vintage decor, the lovely pool, and the immaculate grounds. Jessica and Chris prepped a great guide to the ins and outs of the unique property, and they were always available immediately via text for any other questions. They were flexible about check-in and check-out as we were coming from out of town. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and easy to use, and the living spaces were beautifully decorated and fun to gather in. For the actual wedding day, everything went perfectly. Our vendors had no problem with load-in or clean-up. The bride got ready with her friends in the bridal suite, which provided plenty of space for the hair and make-up team, and the groomsmen got ready in the carriage house. Our ceremony was on the front porch and the reception was in the amazing backyard. We did a second line around the neighborhood between the ceremony and reception as well. Every single photo of our wedding was perfect because Derbes was such a lovely setting! It was so fun to show the beautiful city of New Orleans to our out-of-town friends and family, and Derbes struck just the right chord. It’s hard to put into words just how special and magical our wedding weekend was. It was non-stop fun, friends, family, and food. Derbes was not only the perfect place for our wedding, but it was the perfect place to spend time with our friends all weekend long. We would recommend Derbes a million times over - for the owners, the setting, the cleanliness and care and attention to detail, the three-night stay option, the location. Book now - we know this place is going to get so popular and so in-demand over the next few years!

Derbes is a lovely wedding venue and amazing accommodations. I had visited before the renovations and it’s so clear how much love and care the owners put into this mansion. They are so easy to work with, responsive and have great recommendations. As a wedding guests, the weddings feel lavish without being stuffy. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Derbes with family and friends and it was incredible! I had seen it before the renovation and it’s just so clear how much love and care was put into the property. The pool is a wonderful addition! I’ve also attended as a guest of a wedding and it’s an awesome venue!

We loved the ease of staying on-site for our wedding without it being in a hotel yet still being easily accessible to downtown for our out of town guests. My husband and our three dogs stayed in the carriage house for privacy while our wedding party stayed in the main house. Our dogs were in heaven with the expansive grounds that are completely enclosed. The primary suite had tons of natural light for our bridal party hair and makeup and the blue room across the hall was perfect for my portraits. We loved watching our vendors set up while we were getting ready and not having to worry about leaving wedding items behind at the end of the night. Chris and Jess were a delight to work with and guided us on the best way to set up the event so it flowed well for our guests while still incorporating our vision. Not to mention how much fun we had jumping in the pool at the end of the night! Having worked in the luxury wedding industry on the venue side for nearly 15 years, I cannot say enough good things about this stunning venue and it's wonderful, knowledgeable owners.

The setting was surpassed only by the attentiveness of the management. My wife and I had a great wedding weekend here.

Jess and Chris who own Derbes Mansion have us an incredible venue to host our family and friends for the weekend of our wedding and we had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party there. It was incredibly beautiful and well worth every penny to be able to spend the moments within the moments altogether, it made all the difference in our weekend. Derbes is an absolute gem - truly one of the most beautiful places in the city with the most helpful, accommodating, and genuine team! They will go above and beyond to make your experience memorable and as stress-free as possible. The mansion and carriage house are both beautiful and comfortable, and the pool is an absolute oasis. I wish I could book Derbes for every special event in my life!

We had our wedding at this venue in April and it was unbelievable. This is the best venue for a weekend event and the house and grounds is spectacular. All of our guests commented on how awesome the venue was. Chris was very easy to work with and extremely flexible with us when we wanted to come look at the space several times for planning purposes. I cannot recommend this venue enough (and the pool).

I highly recommend this venue! It's been 4 years in the making for our wedding, and the Derbes Mansion made it worth the wait. The venue has the perfect balance of an old southern mansion with tasteful modern interior enhancements that prevents it from slipping away in time. The best addition apart from the beautiful pool, is the big screen television that truly looks like a painting. If you want the whole package, opt in to the full accommodation. Having the entire mansion to share with our family and friends from all the world was truly the most unifying experience. The mansion is fully stocked on anything you'd imagine an Airbnb and hotel would have and more such as kitchen cookware, extra bedding, pool towels, rocking chairs on the wide porch, cute neighborhood cats, etc. I must say, Jess made the entire experience even more special from the first moment we met her. She's genuine and honest about vendors. She is great at keeping contact, especially if you are from out of state. Choosing your wedding venue is a big choice, and we took a leap of faith just from our interactions with Jess. When we visited the venue, it was in disrepair from the previous owner. We only saw the mansion in its transitional stage with no tangible ideas on how it would look until the following year. We are forever grateful for Jess and The Derbes Mansion. We truly made the best decision for a wedding venue.

The Derbes is the best representation of NOLA culture, history, gorgeous architecture, and sprawling grounds with endless possibilities to host any event. We got married there on November 19th, and our family and friends stayed with us for the weekend. The owners are so passionate about the mansion, and making your event dreams a reality. We were so fortunate to see the renovation transformation happen, and no detail was overlooked to enhance the interior and exterior of the space. During our year of planning, any questions we had were answered in great length, and also rapidly. Planning a destination wedding can have challenges and stresses, but, we always felt supported and at put at ease by the staff. They have amazing connections with the vendors that we used, which made it feel like we were surrounded by extended family at all times. The fact that we could specialize our wedding by choosing all of our vendors, made our weekend even more intimate. We got married on the front porch, surrounded by our guests, and then led to the back of the house by a second line, where our reception was held. We danced the night away, under a tent (due to rain), and witnessed the ability to pivot by the staff, to make sure we enjoyed every minute regardless of weather. We know we will return yearly for our anniversary, and cannot wait to see the latest updates. The Derbes and it’s staff are one of a kind!

I strongly recommend this space for any special occasion. I got married here October 1st and stayed three nights. Friends and family from out of town got to stay with us which made it so much more fun. The new owners are the sweetest and answer any questions you need in a timely manner. They re-decorated and it is GORGEOUS, they know what they are doing. The pool is heated!! OMG we had so much fun in that pool. Everywhere you turn there is a back drop for a photo. very insta-worthy (lots of natural light) I would get married here over and over again. Its clean, beautiful, owners are amazing. My husband and I will be coming back to stay for a future anniversary!

This is the quintessential, stately mansion everyone pictures when envisioning New Orleans, full of charm and character. The grounds are huge and offer multiple options for staging various portions of your event. We hosted a family cocktail party with lots of children ranging in age from infant to 8, and the space is very child-friendly. The owners are extremely accommodating and will go the extra mile to make your wishes come to fruition. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!

An absolutely perfect venue for our wedding. Chris and Jess were lovely and so helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the mansion with our families which made our wedding weekend extra special, had the ceremony in the front and the reception in the back. Eating dinner and dancing under the stars was a lovely experience and we were so happy with how everything turned out! Thank you Derbes mansion team!

The mansion and grounds were perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had the ceremony in front of the house at sunset making for a beautiful setting. The reception in the back accommodated over 100 people without ever feeling too close. The space allowed for a food buffet and bar along with a cake set up in a gazebo. Pre-wedding accommodations for the bride and bridal party were perfect. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and welcoming. Everything was amazing and accommodating.

Derbes mansion is quintessential Nola beauty and style, and a beautiful pick for any wedding or event. I was married there, and I can't speak highly enough about the experience of being on such an elegant and historic property for my special day. The rooms were nicely appointed and it was amazing to be able to get ready on property as well have the ceremony and reception in the same spot - no limos, no getting lost, no running behind. Highly recommend!
