They personally made sure that the property was in excellent shape for our guests, our rehearsal dinner and the day after wedding celebration! They go to great lengths to restore and preserve it for the community. It's a treasure, but so they are because they chose to share it with all of us.

bly helpful as we planned our big day. One of the best parts of the mansion as a venue was that most our wedding party got to stay with us, including my nieces, who fell in love with the pool. I have no complaints. The day couldn’t have gone better and we owe so much of it to the Derbes, Chris and Jess!

e NOLA wedding industry and they’ve seen it all. They know exactly what will and won’t work in their space, but they’re also willing to try anything new. We would love to work with them again. We stayed with our wedding party for three nights, and the actual house is so incredible. Our friends fell in love immediately with the interesting vintage decor, the lovely pool, and the immaculate grounds. Jessica and Chris prepped a great guide to the ins and outs of the unique property, and they were always available immediately via text for any other questions. They were flexible about check-in and check-out as we were coming from out of town. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and easy to use, and the living spaces were beautifully decorated and fun to gather in. For the actual wedding day, everything went perfectly. Our vendors had no problem with load-in or clean-up. The bride got ready with her friends in the bridal suite, which provided plenty of space for the hair and make-up team, and the groomsmen got ready in the carriage house. Our ceremony was on the front porch and the reception was in the amazing backyard. We did a second line around the neighborhood between the ceremony and reception as well. Every single photo of our wedding was perfect because Derbes was such a lovely setting! It was so fun to show the beautiful city of New Orleans to our out-of-town friends and family, and Derbes struck just the right chord. It’s hard to put into words just how special and magical our wedding weekend was. It was non-stop fun, friends, family, and food. Derbes was not only the perfect place for our wedding, but it was the perfect place to spend time with our friends all weekend long. We would recommend Derbes a million times over - for the owners, the setting, the cleanliness and care and attention to detail, the three-night stay option, the location. Book now - we know this place is going to get so popular and so in-demand over the next few years!

dogs stayed in the carriage house for privacy while our wedding party stayed in the main house. Our dogs were in heaven with the expansive grounds that are completely enclosed. The primary suite had tons of natural light for our bridal party hair and makeup and the blue room across the hall was perfect for my portraits. We loved watching our vendors set up while we were getting ready and not having to worry about leaving wedding items behind at the end of the night. Chris and Jess were a delight to work with and guided us on the best way to set up the event so it flowed well for our guests while still incorporating our vision. Not to mention how much fun we had jumping in the pool at the end of the night! Having worked in the luxury wedding industry on the venue side for nearly 15 years, I cannot say enough good things about this stunning venue and it's wonderful, knowledgeable owners.

The best addition apart from the beautiful pool, is the big screen television that truly looks like a painting. If you want the whole package, opt in to the full accommodation. Having the entire mansion to share with our family and friends from all the world was truly the most unifying experience. The mansion is fully stocked on anything you'd imagine an Airbnb and hotel would have and more such as kitchen cookware, extra bedding, pool towels, rocking chairs on the wide porch, cute neighborhood cats, etc. I must say, Jess made the entire experience even more special from the first moment we met her. She's genuine and honest about vendors. She is great at keeping contact, especially if you are from out of state. Choosing your wedding venue is a big choice, and we took a leap of faith just from our interactions with Jess. When we visited the venue, it was in disrepair from the previous owner. We only saw the mansion in its transitional stage with no tangible ideas on how it would look until the following year. We are forever grateful for Jess and The Derbes Mansion. We truly made the best decision for a wedding venue.

November 19th, and our family and friends stayed with us for the weekend. The owners are so passionate about the mansion, and making your event dreams a reality. We were so fortunate to see the renovation transformation happen, and no detail was overlooked to enhance the interior and exterior of the space. During our year of planning, any questions we had were answered in great length, and also rapidly. Planning a destination wedding can have challenges and stresses, but, we always felt supported and at put at ease by the staff. They have amazing connections with the vendors that we used, which made it feel like we were surrounded by extended family at all times. The fact that we could specialize our wedding by choosing all of our vendors, made our weekend even more intimate. We got married on the front porch, surrounded by our guests, and then led to the back of the house by a second line, where our reception was held. We danced the night away, under a tent (due to rain), and witnessed the ability to pivot by the staff, to make sure we enjoyed every minute regardless of weather. We know we will return yearly for our anniversary, and cannot wait to see the latest updates. The Derbes and it’s staff are one of a kind!

de it so much more fun. The new owners are the sweetest and answer any questions you need in a timely manner. They re-decorated and it is GORGEOUS, they know what they are doing. The pool is heated!! OMG we had so much fun in that pool. Everywhere you turn there is a back drop for a photo. very insta-worthy (lots of natural light) I would get married here over and over again. Its clean, beautiful, owners are amazing. My husband and I will be coming back to stay for a future anniversary!

various portions of your event. We hosted a family cocktail party with lots of children ranging in age from infant to 8, and the space is very child-friendly. The owners are extremely accommodating and will go the extra mile to make your wishes come to fruition. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!

the back accommodated over 100 people without ever feeling too close. The space allowed for a food buffet and bar along with a cake set up in a gazebo. Pre-wedding accommodations for the bride and bridal party were perfect. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and welcoming. Everything was amazing and accommodating.

being on such an elegant and historic property for my special day. The rooms were nicely appointed and it was amazing to be able to get ready on property as well have the ceremony and reception in the same spot - no limos, no getting lost, no running behind. Highly recommend!
