Derek Fowles and his wife Adrian are an absolute delight to work with! We are overjoyed with the photos they took for our day. Derek's photojournalistic style was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted photos that documented our whole day, as well as the standard portrait shots. Derek delivered on all accounts. His warm and friendly personality is so delightful. He made us feel so comfortable throughout the day, and knew exactly where to be to get those great shots. We hired him for the day (getting ready, ceremony and reception), as well as his second photographer (Adrian) for the ceremony. At one point while getting ready, I completely forgot he was even there. He was not invasive or disruptive at all. We ended up postponing our original October wedding due to COVID, and held a micro-wedding instead. He smoothly transferred our contract from 2020 to 2021, and worked with us on a new contract for the 2020 micro-wedding. Derek was able to work with us to find a good package that fit within our budget, for both events. We can't wait to work with him and Adrian again next year for the big celebration! Thank you, Derek and Adrian!

Derek did an exceptional job for our engagement and wedding photos! He captured so much any memorable moments,which allowed us to relive our very special day! Derek is so down to earth and makes you feel so comfortable! His wife is amazing too! He’s the best; highly recommend!😊

Derek and his wife, Adrien, work magic. I love that he takes posed photos but also captured parts of the wedding that nobody else could have. From getting ready through the reception, Derek has an eye for photography like nobody else.

This man knows what he is doing and is a professional in every sense of the word. we had a 'just the tho of us' elopement and wanted to have pictures taken. we did not feel rushed at all even though we requested a small session. Derek was kind with his time and captured tons of moments for us.

One of the most important aspects of my wedding was making sure we hired a great photographer. Derek was referred to us by our wedding coordinator at the Hotel Northampton, and we are so beyond happy with our decision to book him! Derek and his wife (assistant photographer) did an amazing job at capturing our wedding day and making sure to include all the little details that sometimes get forgotten. I absolutely love Derek's style of photography, being the photo journalistic style; the way he takes pictures actually tells the story of the day. Derek was very professional and pleasant to work with. When he was taking pictures throughout the day you hardly even noticed he was there, and yet he manages to capture such beautiful memories! I would most definitely recommend Derek to all future brides and grooms, and I would hire Derek again for all my professional photography needs!

Derek and Adrian (his wife who serves as his assistant as well) was absolutely the best, most professional, and courteous photographer I could have asked for. Derek came highly recommended from my reception venue’s “preferred vendor list,” and my other vendors had extremely positive things to say about working with him, but I ultimately made the decision to book him when I talked to him in person for the first time. Derek truly seems very passionate about his work and took the time to explain his photo-journalistic approach, and worked with me to build a customized photography package that fit my very constrained budget. On the day of the wedding, his calming presence and experience really helped the flow of the day and kept us grounded amid all of the hustle-and-bustle. His photography speaks for itself--the photos truly caught the essence of the day (especially in the candid moments he was able to capture). He was able to set up a lap-top during the reception to show some of the pictures he had taken from the day, which was a great treat for our guests. I purposely had to avert my eyes, because I knew that I would end up staring at the computer screen for the rest of the reception! Our family and friends are STILL talking about how beautiful the photos came out. Our reception vendor even asked if she could use some of the photos for marketing purposes!

Derek is an absolutely amazing photographer. His style is photojournalistic, so he captured many moments that we and and our guests were unaware were being photographed. The quality of his work is extremely impressive, and he and his wife are wonderful to work with.

Derek was great to work with! He was very flexible - knowing when to step back and not be too involved in what was going on but also able to take initiative and direct the wedding party and guests when necessary. His photographs were gorgeous and really captured all the important parts of our day. I can't say enough about how great everything was! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved working with Derek!! He was a great fit right from the start. He traveled to Brooklyn for our engagement session! His photos are absolutely gorgeous; a wonderful blend of formals and candids throughout our day.
