Derek Wintermute Photography

Derek is an amazing photographer. Although we haven't received any of our wedding pictures back (it's only been 2.5 weeks) we did do an engagement session with him, so we know the quality of the pictures. At the wedding, he was present when necessary and invisible the rest of the time. I never felt like he (or his assistant) were in the way. I'd say one of the things he needs to work on, is that for those who lack ideas for poses in pictures (US!), that he be able to give us a little direction. You can really tell in our engagement photos (We definitely should have had a couple of drinks first) but I could tell he was working on doing that more at the wedding which was greatly appreciated. The one other thing is one which we noticed was a problem with many of our vendors: communication. We would get responses fairly quickly before we booked, not so much afterwards. We understood people get busy, but it shouldn't take weeks on end to get emails answered. Besides all of that, he is an excellent photographer and a great guy to work with. We'd highly recommend him!

Derek is by far the most talented photographer! He is great with communication, detail and very organized. During my wedding, he made me feel so at ease and I knew my photos would look wonderful... He traveled to Alabama from Georgia to shoot my husband and I... we won't use anyone else!

Derek is wonderful, he was on time and took some amazing pre wedding pics. He was so easy to work with and the results of pics are fabulous

Derek Wintermute did an excellent job on my wedding photos. He was punctual and very flexible. He was also really nice. He took a mix of more traditional and modern shots. The only thing I would I have preferred would have been a bit more creativity on his part. But if you have the types of photos you want in mind, then he is a good choice. The final products were very nicely edited, only it did take a little while to get them back. Overall, I am very glad that I chose him.
