Being the bride, I was not able to be there for his performance at the cocktail hour. But I hear great things about him and his music. He was able to hire a saxophonist and a violinist as well and managed it all!

We cannot say enough good things about Deron! He played and sang during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at our recent June wedding. He sounded amazing! Many of our guests complimented him and requested his contact information from us. He was extremely responsive which was very much appreciated by us. He has a very long list of songs and options which we liked. He proactively worked with us on the music and timing of the ceremony to ensure our expectations were surpassed. Planning and executing a wedding during a pandemic required changes at times and Deron was very flexible and accommodating. We look forward to more opportunities to work with Deron!

I had read reviews about Deron and contacted him to play at my daughter's wedding in St. Augustine. Deron responded quickly to texts or calls and was great in suggesting music for the ceremony. Deron also found a equally awesome mandolin player, Gabe and the two of them provided beautiful music as our guests arrived and during the ceremony. Their rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was beautiful and "Jump in the Line" was so joyful and fun! Deron and Gabe helped make my daughter's wedding even more special.

As Mother of the Bride I can assure you Deron Baker was one of the best choices we made for our daughter's wedding...... The music was wonderful!!!! Deron played during the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and played with a three piece group for the reception. Not only is he a great musician he works in a very calm and professional manner. Deron arrived early, was completely self sufficient and literally didn't skip a beat the entire evening. The group was able to go with the flow of the guests and everyone was on the dance floor. Look no further!!!!

Hiring Deron to play for my ceremony and cocktail hour was one of the best decisions that I made for my wedding! He was extremely responsive and friendly. He even learned the acoustic version of the song that I wanted to be played as I walked down the aisle - and it was perfect. I really cannot say enough good things about Deron! My husband and I decided to have a smaller more intimate wedding and ended up planning everything in only 3 months. We thought it would be nice to have a live musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour. From the beginning, Deron responded so quickly to all of my questions, and even changed around his schedule just so he could be at our wedding.. again we were planning this with short notice! We initially planned to get married on the beach, but hurricane Irma wiped out our initial ceremony location, and Deron was always so flexible on our changes. To top it off, a Nor'easter came through the weekend of our wedding leaving us with basically no beach, and we had to change our location 45 MINUTES before the ceremony start time. Deron still arrived early and was set up like that was where everything was supposed to be from the beginning. After the ceremony, he quickly went to our reception location and was set up before guests arrived. He also learned new songs for us and sang our first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter dances. It was very special to me to have these performed live. He helped me by sending a list of typical songs he does for the ceremony and provided ones I had not thought about. I had so many compliments from our guests who loved listening to him play during the cocktail hour. Deron was honestly the easiest person I worked with in all of my wedding planning, and I didn't even meet him until the day of the wedding! His professionalism, responsiveness, and performance cannot be beat! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a musician to play at their wedding and would love to have him play at future events we have.

Deron and Lu made our wedding reception absolutely wonderful and very special to us. All the guests raved about the music. He kept everyone dancing throughout the evening. Deron and his group provided the perfect experience for our wedding ceremony and reception. The band was very receptive to our requests and getting the details just right. They were right on cue with the timeline, providing a wonderfully smooth performance. At the reception, our guests were dancing to the very end. Overall, the band sounded great and received an out-pouring of compliments from our guests making them one of my favorite things from the wedding.

Deron was fantastic! Response time to emails and questions was immediate. Deron sent suggestions, listened to ideas, went thru our ceremony plan and best of all learned a special song to play for the ceremony and again at the cocktail party. Most importantly, he sounded amazing! The guest loved his sound, he was perfect for our occasion. I would highly recommend. P.S. many of the guest had never heard our song and asked for the original version because they thought it was so beautiful.

I HIGHLY recommend Deron, if you want an amazing bad for your wedding, He is incredibly talented and has a diverse playlist. Not only is he an incredibly kind, genuine person, he went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met and that every guest was having a good time. Where to begin… I first heard of Deron baker through my wedding event planner at The Casa Monica Resort and Spa in Saint Augustine Florida. I had been looking for a unique Trio Band for my wedding on March 11, 2017, and Tessa of the Casa Monica, assured me that Deron Baker was right up my alley. I immediately reached out to Deron and was so happy to hear back from him quickly. He was so courteous and professional, and most importantly he made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. I felt no stress whatsoever talking with him. I knew at that moment that he was a perfect fit. Deron and his Trio Band played my cocktail hour prior to my reception in the Flagler ballroom. I had an intimate wedding of approximately 50 guests, and all night during the reception, all I heard was how amazing the Trio Band was. The selection of songs they chose to play were absolutely perfect and exactly what I had in mind. I also can't express how special it was for us to walk in, hand and hand, and see and hear Deron and his band playing such a beautiful song as we entered. Deron is absolutely amazing all around- performance and personality wise!! My husband and I had the pleasure of having Deron perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Deron provided beautiful music during my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He sounded amazing! He sang "A thousand years" as I walked down the isle and it was perfect. Deron is amazing! From the get go, he was responsive, organized, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond without being pushy. He answered all of our questions, offered to learn any songs we might like, provided suggestions and recommendations, and overall made the process extremely easy. On the day of our wedding, he was early, self-sufficient in setting up, extremely professional, and laidback. Our guests absolutely loved him -- as did we. He has an incredible voice and high-end equipment. We originally had requested him for our ceremony and cocktail hour only. I don't think words can describe how AMAZING the music was at our wedding, but we'll give it a shot here. We had a good feeling about Deron from the moment we met him...and all the great things we heard about him were true! He took our idea and turned it into reality, but even better than we could have imagined it. His warm personality and artistic style is a perfect combination for any wedding. If we renew our vows in the next decade or two, I want Deron to create another masterpiece for us. I would also like to give a big shout out to his music partner, Lu. The 2 of them together were absolutely masterful. Worth every penny and then some!

My husband and I were looking for a very specific sound for our ceremony and cocktail reception music...and as soon as I heard Deron's music, I knew we found what we were looking for. Deron was super responsive from the moment I reached out to him, and was more than flexible to work with our budget as well song choices. He learned two songs for us that were not on his normal song list (Ho Hey and Moon River) and delivered them beautifully. He was prompt, very professional and just a breeze to work with. My only regret is that I wasn't around longer during the cocktail hour to get to enjoy his music more.

I planned my wedding for this past Thanksgiving weekend (2014) at The White Room in St. Augustine, Florida. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, and not too familiar with anything in the area. My husband grew up in Florida, and his family is still living there- but I wanted to handle all the details on my own. I was given Deron's name by my coordinator at The White Room, and I decided to check out all the names given to me (bands, florist, bakeries, etc.) on YouTube and Pinterest. Deron's music really fit our style, so I contacted him. I am so glad I did! Deron is such a gentleman and a breath of fresh air! He was so easy to work with, and accommodating in every way- I told him how much he felt like part of the family! Many of my guests commented on how much they liked his music, and I wish I could call on him for private parties- he is just too far away! Deron was the perfect choice for our wedding! :)

Deron was excellent to work with. He provided beautiful guitar music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I would absolutely recommend him to other people to use. We wanted a local feel-good musician at our wedding and we got the-next-Jack Johnson that played classics from the 70s, 90s r&b, and current songs (ask him for a song list). After seeing a few artists' videos online we decided we wanted to see Deron live. Mid-way through the first song we agreed that we wanted him to play at our wedding. Leading up to the wedding Deron was very responsive and easy to work with. At the reception, he coordinate with our emcee and played our previously selected intro songs, mother-son, father-daughter dance and sang our first dance. We settled in and all through the night our guests (young, old and from all over the country) continued to tell us how awesome Deron's music was. Thanks for being a part of our wedding!

Deron and his band were FABULOUS! We got the most compliments on the flowers and the band. Deron was responsive and played every song I had sent him for request. If he couldn't play it, he had it downloaded and ready to play at any time without any transition issues. What was the BEST was we had 10 kids (all under 10) at our wedding and the band (without us prompting) asked the kids if they knew the song "let it go". Of course they did and then they let the kids use the second microphone to sing with them. It was FANTASTIC. they will never forget that and it was the cutest thing. They did an excellent job of reading our crowd and playing songs that went with the environment and vibe. THank you Deron and band- we had a wonderful evening!

Deron is a masterful guitar player and definitely knows how to keep the celebratory mood going and the guests happy. His classical renditions of the wedding favorites were absolutely perfect, and both my wife and I couldn't have been happier. Then, he made a seamless transition to some easy listening and contemporary jazz that really had our guests enjoying the cocktail hour. I couldn't tell you how many compliments we had on his playing and I believe at least a few of our guests walked away with some of his contact information to look him up for hire in the future. He was easy to get along with and my wife and I are convinced that keeping an open line of communication with him for a good amount of time before the wedding was very helpful. As I mentioned to him on the big day, it didn't feel like we had just a vendor playing for us, but a true friend. I recommend not confining him to a playlist, but rather something similar to what we did whereas we shared a few songs with Deron for him to get a feel for what we liked musically, and he picked the songs. The music he played was absolutely perfect and way better than anything we had in mind. Let the Artist work and by all means, trust him! He truly is a professional.

"Wow" is what my husband and I thought as soon as Deron began playing. His voice is amazing! He actually learned several special songs for us This personal touch really impressed us. He was great! We plan to go see him again on our next trip to St. Augustine.

Deron did an incredible job at our wedding. He did our ceremony music and cocktail hour himself, and brought a full band for our reception. Deron was very easy to communicate with, always responded quickly to my e-mails and questions, and was totally receptive to my style and taste in music. I told him my budget, and he was straightforward with what he would be able to do within it (which was more than I expected!), and I feel like we got more than our money's worth. He put together an incredible band that did an amazing job at creating the mood I had in mind. I sent Deron a list of songs and artists my husband and I like to give him an idea of the style we were looking for, and they nailed it. Deron attended our walk-through ahead of time to make sure he and the wedding planner were on the same page which was very helpful on the day of the wedding. It actually ended up raining on our wedding day (the ceremony and reception were both outdoors under a tent) and while this certainly complicated things, Deron and the band handled it well. I would highly recommend him.

Deron is an excellent lead musician that made our ceremony beautiful with acoustic guitars and beautiful voice. 3 man wedding reception band rocked it out! Deron was helpful making excellent suggestions in the planning process. He "djd" our first dance songs on our ipod d/t our song selections. Deron was awesome and easy to work. He was open to personalizing our wedding. Many of the guests asked me how I found him after the wedding! They agreed that he added the perfect touch to both the ceremony and the dinner reception!

Deron really made my dream wedding come true! He learned every song I asked of him and had really great suggestions, which I used all of them. He was very quick with responses and never made me feel uncomfortable for any of the requests I made or the number of times I emailed him. We had booked a musician to play at our outdoor wedding and reception months before the date. Due to a vocal chord injury, he cancelled less than a week before the date... We found Deron days before the date and he was amazing! He was incredibly easy to deal with. The first musician we had was slow to reply to emails or calls and Deron was the opposite. He was efficient and professional. There was a particular song we wanted for out "first dance." Our first musician did not know it but said he would try to learn it. We booked Deron so late that there was no time for him to learn it-- turns out, he already knew it so that wasn't an issue. It was meant to be! Due to weather issues, we had to change from our outdoor ceremony, to an indoor ceremony... at an entirely different location; originally the ceremony and reception were to be at the same place. He handled the change in circumstances well and set up at both places and did such a great job! The ceremony music was some slow, easy guitar and the reception music got everyone on the dance floor... from the 30 year olds to the 70+ year olds. He was awesome! We had several friends comment on how great he was. I would totally use him again and reccommend him to others as well!
