irl decided at the last minute, about a week out, but because her wedding was on a Thursday, Derrick was available, himself. Derrick worked SO hard - he was there the entire day, running from room to room, climbing ladders, crawling on the floor, setting up scenes all while staying out of the wa! He appeared to have captured everything. We won't see the final for a few weeks but the experience was great. Derrick is a super cool guy, easy to work with, dependable, kind and fun. ade everyone feel so comfortable having fun in front of the camera. He was with us the entire day, from start to finish, so he was able to get all the best moments captured on film. He brings multiple cameras, gets great drone footage of the venues, and also brings an assistant in order to get all the best angles. We truly enjoyed watching back our day because of the amazing camera work and editing skills! On top of him doing a great job filming and editing, he is also very responsive via email and always made sure we were getting our questions answered. 10/10 recommend using Derrek as your videographer!

From the initial conversation, he is incredibly responsive when it came to answering the many questions that I had! Derrek was a game-changer for our wedding day! He arrived to film the bridal party as our hair & makeup were being completed, while his assistant, Gabe, arrived with my husband & his groomsmen for some fun before the wedding began! From first thing in the morning until the last song of the night, they were there to capture ALL of our day! We are so excited to see the amazing footage they captured, and cannot thank them enough!

itially booked another videography company for our big day. Two hours after the original videographer was supposed to be there, they cancelled! I was pretty upset at the idea of not having a videographer to record our ceremony. While all this was happening, our awesome DJ (JPW Productions) reached out to Derrek to see if he was free and could make it to our venue in Elgin for the ceremony. He made the drive and made it 15 MINUTES BEFORE IT STARTED. He managed to get everything all set up in time for the ceremony! After the ceremony was completed, we spoke to him for a few minutes to express our gratitude for coming. He was very professional, polite, and fun! As the night went on, our guests kept complimenting him and his fun personality. He was on the dance floor with our guests ALL reception! It was great. After the wedding was completed, we paid him for his services the next day. He was very prompt in responding to all questions. You can definitely see he is passionate about his work! We recently received our sneak peek video from Derrek. It was absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to see the final product. I wish that we would have initially booked with him! I'm so glad that ended up being our videographer. HIRE DERREK AS YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER! You won’t regret it!

for a November wedding, paid in full, and was told two weeks before our wedding that he was approached by another couple willing to pay more so he was going to film them instead. I had to interview other videographers in those two weeks before my day which I hardly had time to do. Derrek had done a lot of my family member's weddings and he does great work, but if you book with him maybe have another one interviewed and ready to book in case the same thing happens to you.

Derrek made sure to get as much footage as possible, from using his drone for aerial shots of our outdoor ceremony and photo session, to busting a move out on the dance floor for almost the entire night with the rest of our guests. He showed us other projects he had done and we were thoroughly impressed. I can’t be anymore please than we were with Derrek. We had little caveats and special things we wanted included and he hit them spot on. He made it truly special and listened to what we wanted. Furthermore, the drone footage was incredible. He was very good and it truly blew our minds away. This is definitely worth the upgrade to get from him. You won’t be upset with the purchase. I highly recommend it if you are getting pictures at a beautiful outdoor venue. We did ours at Lake Catherine and it was awesome. It should also be noted he was very easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted and was never pushy. He also never tried to push things or upsell. It also is noteworthy to point out he worked well with a totally unrelated camera crew. I felt they gelled well and never had worked together before. I was thoroughly impressed with him and the photographers for this teamwork. He literally was running places and getting the best shots of people on the dance floor. He is reasonably priced and truly a class act. I will be recommending him to any and all friends.

I reached out to Derrek, and he was able to create a memorial video clip on behalf of my mother, the day before her wake. We truly appreciate everything he has done for us, and we have well over 6 hours of wedding coverage! Brides to be--- you will not be disappointed!
