About this vendor

Hi! I'm Derrick Tribbey Photography, a modern portrait photographer based in Dallas, Texas. I have been in the wedding photography industry for the past 8 years. I feel as if I have one of the most incredible jobs. My desire is to bless all that I work with and strive to ensure that my clients have the most amazing wedding day and photography experience. It is such an incredible blessing to be a part of one of the most important days of my client's lives. My goal is to capture important life experiences with knowledge and creativity as well as provide photographs that will last you a lifetime.! My style of photography is "light and airy" with a pop of bright color. My absolute favorite is a late evening engagement session or portraits of the bride and groom on their wedding day.

Communication was the only problem I had. Some messages went unnoticed (whether it was text or email) and even my day-of coordinator had a hard time getting ahold of him. Derrick ...

took my bridal portraits AND my wedding day photos. Taking photos with him was a breeze, just know what you are comfortable with and what poses you prefer and to just be yourself (these are the bridal photos I loved in the end instead of the "traditional posed" photos). There were some aesthetic photos of the wedding I wish he had done a better job of (or missed entirely), but there are so many photos of my husband and I that I have already framed and will cherish forever (I guess these are the more important ones, right? HA). There are some instances I wish he had gotten more than one photo of a specific pose or object or person. Plan ahead with photos YOU want (I didn't get any with my flower girl which I am still bummed about). The day moves so fast that in the end you will realize there are probably photos you completely missed. BUT he took over 800 photos for an 8 hour day, not every one will be perfect! Derrick, thank you so much for taking our photos. The ones of my husband and I are dreamy. You really captured the love (and laughter) between us <3

We had so much fun working with Derrick for our Engagement Photos, Bridals and Wedding Day! The photos turned out BEAUTIFUL, and Derrick was a Joy to work with, always making us ...

Derrick is, by FAR, the best photographer I have ever worked with! Having an extraordinary photographer was #1 on our priority list when it came to wedding planning. We didn’t set ...

a budget because we knew whoever we hired would be 1000% worth it when everything was over, and mannnn did Derrick deliver!!! My entire wedding album looks even better than my Pinterest board, which is every bride’s dream! I am socially awkward, never know what do with my arms, and my husband and I had never taken professional pictures together. Derrick made us look like freaking models, comforted us, and guided the entire way! We decided to do a first look for our wedding and Derrick managed to get more than 600 photographs BEFORE THE WEDDING EVEN STARTED! I am extremely grateful we took this route with Derrick, because it made the entire day run smooth, stress-free, and allowed us all more time to enjoy the wedding after the ceremony. I definitely recommend doing this! Our wedding day went by in the blink of an eye, but our extraordinary photo album will allow us to relive our day for the rest of our lives. I’m so grateful Derrick captured every moment no matter how big or small. I’m already trying to convince my husband that we NEED Derrick for future maternity, newborn, and family photos! LOL I need every excuse to work with him again.

I cannot say enough good things about Derrick Tribbey Photography!!! Derrick shot our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we are absolutely in love with every single shot!...

We have hundreds of amazing photos capturing our special day and they are all amazing. So amazing that I’m having a hard time picking my favorites for an album and for hanging up at home. All of the poses look so natural and he did a great job of making sure we had a variety of shots in terms of our poses and location. He also captured all sorts of things from our wedding day that I never had a chance to see and moments where I didn’t even realize he had been shooting! Derrick was so nice and made us feel so comfortable. My mom continues to rave about how nice he was and how he made a point to introduce himself to everyone. We would definitely recommend Derrick to anyone who asks and we are already trying to get our friends and family to have him shoot their weddings!

reath of fresh air!! He replied to emails so fast and answered all the questions I had! He was so so kind and lovely in person too!! On the day of my wedding he was punctual and professional. He told us what to do, how to pose, and made sure to get enough photos in the allotted time we had. He didn’t waste time! And when I got my wedding photos back.. I cried. They were beautiful and full of so many candids. I got to see how happy everyone was on my wedding day through the moments he captured. I would recommend him a million times over!!

If you are looking for the best of the best--Derrick Tribbey Photography is it! He photographed my engagements, bridals, and entire wedding day. I'm at a loss of words to describe...

his natural talent and eye for picture-perfect photography, pristine work product, and highest level of expertise. Let me start by saying that I'm not ashamed to admit that I was an extremely high maintenance bride with extremely high expectations for my photography. I knew exactly how I wanted my wedding day photographs to turn out and that's a tremendous amount of pressure for a photographer to bear......but Derrick Tribbey not only handled my high expectations, but he surpassed them with flying colors. His work is the definition of unrivaled excellence (even when bridal party was running 1.5 hours late on the tentative schedule). Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing the most perfect day of my life with breathtaking pictures. My wedding pictures exceeded ALL of my (very high) expectations and I will forever be grateful to Derrick Tribbey. All in all--Derrick Tribbey Photography is 10 out of 10, no question. Wouldn't use anyone else!!!!!!!!

Derrick is fabulous. We used Derrick Tribbey Photography for engagements, bridals & wedding day. I was very very pleased with engagements (as was my husband who was not looking for...

ward to taking engagements at all) & bridals, but nothing compared to the quality of his work for our ceremony & reception. Derrick jumped right in taking photos of us getting ready, grabbing my dress & jewelry for detail shots, & flawless photos of the decor. I didn't have to answer any questions or worry if he missed something. It was completely stress free for me from the pre-ceremony to the exit. Even the dreaded family photos after the ceremony went smoothly. I received all my photos in a timely manner & was always able to catch Derrick when I had a question. I would highly recommend using Derrick Tribbey Photography for any photography needs.
