I'm Derrick Tribbey Photography, a modern portrait photographer based in Dallas, Texas. I have been in the wedding photography industry for the past 8 years. I feel as if I have one of the most incredible jobs. My desire is to bless all that I work with and strive to ensure that my clients have the most amazing wedding day and photography experience. It is such an incredible blessing to be a part of one of the most important days of my client's lives. My goal is to capture important life experiences with knowledge and creativity as well as provide photographs that will last you a lifetime.! My style of photography is "light and airy" with a pop of bright color. My absolute favorite is a late evening engagement session or portraits of the bride and groom on their wedding day.

took my bridal portraits AND my wedding day photos. Taking photos with him was a breeze, just know what you are comfortable with and what poses you prefer and to just be yourself (these are the bridal photos I loved in the end instead of the "traditional posed" photos). There were some aesthetic photos of the wedding I wish he had done a better job of (or missed entirely), but there are so many photos of my husband and I that I have already framed and will cherish forever (I guess these are the more important ones, right? HA). There are some instances I wish he had gotten more than one photo of a specific pose or object or person. Plan ahead with photos YOU want (I didn't get any with my flower girl which I am still bummed about). The day moves so fast that in the end you will realize there are probably photos you completely missed. BUT he took over 800 photos for an 8 hour day, not every one will be perfect!

a budget because we knew whoever we hired would be 1000% worth it when everything was over, and mannnn did Derrick deliver!!! My entire wedding album looks even better than my Pinterest board, which is every bride’s dream! I am socially awkward, never know what do with my arms, and my husband and I had never taken professional pictures together. Derrick made us look like freaking models, comforted us, and guided the entire way! We decided to do a first look for our wedding and Derrick managed to get more than 600 photographs BEFORE THE WEDDING EVEN STARTED! I am extremely grateful we took this route with Derrick, because it made the entire day run smooth, stress-free, and allowed us all more time to enjoy the wedding after the ceremony. I definitely recommend doing this! Our wedding day went by in the blink of an eye, but our extraordinary photo album will allow us to relive our day for the rest of our lives. I’m so grateful Derrick captured every moment no matter how big or small. I’m already trying to convince my husband that we NEED Derrick for future maternity, newborn, and family photos! LOL I need every excuse to work with him again.

We have hundreds of amazing photos capturing our special day and they are all amazing. So amazing that I’m having a hard time picking my favorites for an album and for hanging up at home. All of the poses look so natural and he did a great job of making sure we had a variety of shots in terms of our poses and location. He also captured all sorts of things from our wedding day that I never had a chance to see and moments where I didn’t even realize he had been shooting!
Derrick was so nice and made us feel so comfortable. My mom continues to rave about how nice he was and how he made a point to introduce himself to everyone. Let me start by saying that I'm not ashamed to admit that I was an extremely high maintenance bride with extremely high expectations for my photography. I knew exactly how I wanted my wedding day photographs to turn out and that's a tremendous amount of pressure for a photographer to bear......but Derrick Tribbey not only handled my high expectations, but he surpassed them with flying colors. His work is the definition of unrivaled excellence (even when bridal party was running 1.5 hours late on the tentative schedule).
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing the most perfect day of my life with breathtaking pictures. My wedding pictures exceeded ALL of my (very high) expectations and I will forever be grateful to Derrick Tribbey.
