Professional Wedding Dance Instruction
We had four private dance lessons with Anne leading up to our wedding to feel more comfortable dancing together and have a little more flair than just swaying back and forth. It was a fun weekly date night learning and dancing together and helped us feel better about our first dance. We got so many compliments and impressed family & friends with our moves and dip!
Tallis at Des Moines Ballroom did an amazing job helping us choreograph and refine our wedding dance. It felt like a perfect reflection of our style and our guests loved it! I would highly recommend the Des Moines Ballroom if you want to learn a first dance for your wedding!

Des Moines Ballroom has served the dancing community of Des Moines for over 30 years. It began as a cohort of amateur social dancers who got together a few times a week to practice and has evolved to a professionally run ballroom dance studio. In 2018, the studio moved from its original location on Douglas Ave. to East Village. In 2021, the studio expanded to a two-story building in the historic Sherman Hill neighborhood.
Des Moines Ballroom is proud to provide highly qualified, professional dance instruction. Our instructors are experienced in various styles of social and competitive ballroom dancing, and we are known for our inspiring attitudes that make learning fun.
