Design Hues

Just did my nieces wedding yesterday at The Waterfall, which they were hired with not much notice and the flowers were beautiful. The Bride cried when she saw them saying they were exactly what she wanted.

Designer Extraordinaire  There are so many qualities about Samara that I want to underscore hat it is probably best to list them out. 1. She's the ultimate problem solver  I saw this from the first time I met her and up through the wedding day itself. She considered and researched our requests/ideas and made them happen. When the venue said a request was impossible, Samara came up with creative solutions. Both my husband and I also felt that no matter what catastrophe occurred the day of our wedding (thankfully, there were none), Samara would have stepped up to the plate and helped to fix it, even if it was out of her "wheelhouse." I cannot tell you how much piece-of-mind this gave us. 2. She is patient and calm.  Weddings can be rather emotional beasts, and Samara is very conscious of this. She never shot down an idea , however impossible. She skillfully redirected conversations and focused on the vision while making all involved feel heard and appreciated. 3. She is a renaissance woman. I do not use this phrase lightly. She has experience, knowledge, skill and appreciation of art, architecture, building, safety, floral display and people skills and is able to combine all of these talents masterfully to create INCREDIBLE installation pieces.  4. She is fair. Right off the bat I can say I was given much greater quotes for much less work. I've come to trust her eye implicitly but her as well. She goes to great lengths to execute work that is under the parameters of your vision but also your budget. If an estimate seems too high, she is willing to present other options that have a similar feel but for less money. She also has a great relationship with floral venders who she has been working with for years and I think this makes a difference in the products she gets- if a type of flower doesn't look great, she will make sure it is swapped out for something better.  On a related note, we never felt like she was pushing us to make the more expensive choice and, in fact, she was always willing to offer up ways to save money or say if she didn’t think the more lavish choice would make a difference. I cannot emphasize how rare this seems to be in the wedding industry in general. 5. People like her and enjoy working with her. For my event, it was necessary for her to hire a pretty large staff all of whom acted extremely professionally, did a great job and had worked with her many times before. There were also some staff members at our venue who were, frankly, quite difficult characters. I can only imagine how big of a pain it was to work with them, but Samara never complained and, honestly, seamlessly made up for their failings without complaint.  6. Samara is an impeccable planner. She is never without her notebook and measuring tape and camera and kept track of all ideas and contacts. We never had to reach out to follow up with her, we never had to worry that she forgot about a detail we mentioned, if she agreed to do something, it got done (and more). Working with Samara Weaver/DesignHues was such an absolute pleasure and I cannot tell you the amount of compliments I have received on the design aspects of our wedding. It is not an exaggeration to say that our PERFECT day came together thanks to her hard work, talent and dedication. Choosing her as a designer for your next event will be a decision you will never regret and an investment you will thank your lucky stars that you made.

Hello! Samara helped me with my July 2019 wedding at the Barn on Bridge. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She listened to my vision and my budget and brought it to life. My centerpieces and flowers were stunning. She was easy to reach anytime I had a question, concern or wanted to run a new idea by her.

Where do I even begin?! What an incredible florist, artist, and person. Samara is one of the most thoughtful and detail-oriented people that I have ever met and my husband and I were so overjoyed with her work at our wedding last June. From the start, she was professional, detail-oriented, and thoughtful. My husband and I (like many couples) found planning extremely stressful navigating family, friends, and full-time jobs. We met with Samara at the beginning of the process and talked through a bunch of ideas that we had. There were a few things that my husband and I were not on the same page about. Samara noticed this and gracefully suggested many ideas about how to integrate both of our wishes into the pieces that she was making for us. Ultimately, my husband and I found the perfect balance and were both so happy with everything. Throughout the process, she suggested regular phone checkins, and after each one, my husband and I felt more and more at ease. She is an excellent communicator and always had a way of picking up on when I was not certain about something. She gave me the space and time to change my mind about certain parts of my order because she wanted me to be absolutely happy with how everything looked and felt on our big day. On the day of the wedding, each piece that she did was exquisite - all of the flowers were perfectly placed and set up well before any guests were to arrive. I felt so much more comfortable about everything else I was juggling, just knowing that I could trust her to say that she was going to do something and then execute it without any issues. Each piece that she made was so beautiful, and I am so glad that we chose her to work with. Looking back at our wedding photos, I am so happy with everything that she created - the bouquets, boutonnieres, wedding arch for the ceremony, arrangements for the aisles, centerpieces, and other arrangements around the venue. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Samara and Design Hues for weddings, bridal showers, and special occasions. I have nothing negative to say about her or her work. She is an EXTREMELY talented artist and an extraordinary person and I hope that you will choose her!
