My husband and I chose Lu after meeting with 2 other decorators. From the very beginning we knew she cared about our story and immediately brought my very plain ideas beyond my wildest dreams!!! Her patience and consistency made the entire planning process a breeze, even through my many bridal meltdowns. The decor at our wedding is something that people are still talking about 4 months later. Her team was amazing, my decor was amazing, and most of all Lu is amazing! I can't wait for our next big event so she can help with that also!

When I hired DesignedBy Lu, I didn't know where to start with planning a wedding. She stepped in and took care of everything—I didn't have to worry about one thing. My wedding day was virtually stress-free. If there was a problem, I never knew about it. Working full-time, I can't imagine how I could have done all of the planning without her help. Highly recommended.

My very best friend was getting married and wanted something very intimate, simple, special and most of all memorable. She’s normally a little over the top but because of trying to plan a wedding in 1 week she wanted to keep it stress free. She generally doesn’t make a big deal about flowers; often saying she’s not into flowers. Living in NY and helping her with this wedding in Florida, did not make it easier, so many things to do (find venue to host the ceremony and reception, tight budget and in less than a week). Where and how do we start…yikes! Fortunately, DesignedbyLu came highly recommended and not just from one but two (2) different acquaintances. I knew I better grab hold of this planner quickly. In less than a week; the most memorable, intimate and elegant affair was planned, executed and enjoyed beyond our imagination. Talk about expediently. Wow, Lucha and team knew who to contact in Florida, where to go and had a vision in mind to help guide us. I’m convinced I need a Planner in my life for all things. If this was accomplished in a week; what will she do given more time for my friend’s more elaborate affair planned to happen in a year. I can’t wait. In fact; I’ve already booked her and her team for my big birthday celebration in November. DesignedbyLu found a florist and transformed the bride from not liking flowers to wanting more flowers in her life to even more elaborate arrangements at her upcoming event. Her team worked with the guests, the venue and took great care to make sure the bride remained in the moment of her special day. My friend is still wowing over her wedding; the ease and beauty of it all in such a short turn around time. There was absolutely no fuss. Sometimes words are not enough or are not available to describe the way someone can treat you or make you feel so special! But Lucha, yes you’re one of that person who can go behind any expectations to deliver the best of the best service ever, even when you were tired, not even looking for the time, but working around the clock. Lucha was extremely instrumental as our wedding planner and designer. She made herself available to tour our venue several times (two hour commute) and always provided sound advise . Hands down Lucha and Courtney are nothing less than amazing. They definitely helped every step of the way from the 1st day my wife met them til still helping us after the wedding. I cant thank them enough. I dont know how they were able to handle almost 200 people at a destination wedding but they did n more. If me n my wife didnt have them i promise my wedding would have been an epic failure. Anytime anyone is getting married im definitely recommending Designed by Lu!!!

From the 1st time we spoke on the phone. I said to myself "I like her". After our initial meeting later that evening I knew God led me to her, she had such a warm and welcoming spirit. We spoke for hours about everything under the sun. Then when I told her that wedding was in 3 months and it was a destination. Her response was so calm and reassuring. I left that meeting confident that I made the right decision. Lucha guided my husband and I every step of the way. She was available whenever I needed her even if it was just to vent. Because us brides need our moments lol. Lucha and Courtney worked tirelessly on the hme front and finally when we arrived in DR. They orchestrated everything so perfectly wish allowed my husband and I to relax and enjoy our 200+ guests. We made the right choice by having Lucha as our wedding coordinator. Her negotiating skills came on time and saved us thousands of dollars. We trusted her recommendations on the color for the groom and groomsmen and we had no regrets. Her vendors were professional and passionate about what they do. We can't say enough about Lucha and her team. Best Coordinator Ever!!!!!

If there was 100 stars I still don't think it would be enough stars. Lu was my wedding planner and more. She was on top of EVERYTHING throughout the entire process as well as the day of. Super professional, great communicator, reliable, on point, and problem solver as well a genuine, honest person with a good soul is how I would describe her. You can't go wrong with her.

My wedding was so hard to plan, because I live abroad and was having it in NYC, with an outdoor ceremony in a park and one of those completely raw bring-everything-yourself event spaces. She accommodated the time zone difference, dealt with my crazy family and dealt with all of my last-minute crazyness. She took everything in stride, ALWAYS had a smile on her face and even the day of made 100% sure that my husband and I were taken care of (and that we ate lol). I would recommend Lucha to any bride.

Lucha was willing to work with my budget and helped me when others fell short. Her involvement took so much stress off of my shoulders and allowed me to enjoy my special day. I am so thankful that my cousin recommended her to me. I would refer her to anyone whose planning an event. She's the best.

I hired Lucha to be my Day of Coordinator with exactly one month left of planning. Just like any bride, I was panicking due to me wanting everything to be perfect. I didn't think I needed a coordinator at first but realized I couldn't do it alone with 2 girls and a Full time job. During my first meeting with Lu we conversed about my vision, vendors, theme...etc. I didn't feel pressured nor did it feel like a business meeting. Lucha was so real and I felt her confidence without her selling herself. I was able to reach her with any questions or concerns and she always responded within a reasonable time. The day of my wedding was a dream come true and I thank Lucha for that. She was amazing and made the process of wedding planning less stressful. I definitely recommend Lucha to all brides!!

Wow, Lu did an excellent job with her design for my wedding. I did not have much time because I only had 5 months to plan the wedding. I was worried. Lu came on board, she had the vision, and she made my day exceptional! She was flexible, very understanding and she was able to work with my budget. Lu is really on point with her work. I highly recommend her.

Designed by Lu made every aspect of our wedding planning very comfortable. Not only did she coordinate our wedding details within a few months of us getting engaged, she was also able to keep us on track and inspired even after the unexpected passing of my husband's mother just 2 months before our wedding day. She sought out the perfect venue, a refreshing officiant, best florist, most lively DJ, and most personably talented photographer. The details of planning our wedding was very daunting but with her leading us everything came together beautifully. She kept us pushing forward through all the ups and downs all while maintaining a professional yet friendly attitude. She was present and checking on us on our wedding day making sure everything ran smoothly. Even when i decided we should do garter toss at very last minute somehow she was able to get me a garter. We greatly appreciate all that she did and I would recommend her a million times over for all the hard work and passion she dedicated to our day.

I hired Lu as my day-of coordinator recommended by my caterer Caribbean Pearl. It was amazing having a coordinator familiar with my caterer. On the day of, Lu and her assistant did an amazing job handling the final touches setting up the venue- coordinating the vendors, and resolving issues that came up without involving me (smart considering i was becoming a bridezilla LOL). My arch ended up being knocked over by the wind! She adjusted the ceremony decor and i never even noticed it was missing! She also did a great job getting a handle on time as we ran late to make sure the photographer was present for all formalities. By the end of the night she ended up being much more than my coordinator... She was my therapist, hype man and the biggest help ever. If i could do it over I would spend the extra $ to have her PLAN the whole event. Dont hesitate to work with Lu <3
