At age 17 Janet knew she had a passion in Art. It wasn’t until she got her cosmetology license that she discovered that she loved makeup and the Art behind it. In 2013 she started working for Blush Makeup Artistry in Maryland and added airbrush makeup to her repertoire. This is where she fell in love with the bridal industry. She loves to make clients look and feel their very best on their special day.
Now living back in Dallas TX, and with 10 years of makeup & hair experience under her belt, she decided to create a makeup and hair team for all kinds of events.
This is where her dream of Designer Faces Makeup Artistry was born. A makeup and hair company based in Plano TX that would cater to anyone needing makeup, or hair, in the DFW area.

eat ideas and wanted feedback to make sure I loved it. She really understood what I was going for and made it happen. I have very thin hair and she worked her magic without needing to use extensions! Wedding day, she came with another HMUA (Claudia) to work on my bridesmaids. They all got different makeup looks and hairstyles (updo, braid, hollywood waves, half up) and all looked phenomenal. Janet left me with a touchup kit, but I didnt need it as my makeup did not budge all night! If you are searching for a professional makeup artist who is fun to work with, will listen to what you are wanting, and who does an excellent job- book Janet! You wont regret it!

put me immediately at ease the first time I met her at my trial; it was a big plus to be able to see her work without having to sign a contract first. She is flexible, responsive, easy to work with and really listens to your feedback and preferences. Since I have minimal experience with hair and makeup, I didn't know what I wanted exactly, but she worked with me to come up with a final result that made me feel beautiful. On the day of the wedding, she and Cindy worked seamlessly to do hair and makeup for me and my two sisters, as well as my future SIL and MIL; we were all very pleased with the results. In short, I highly recommend Janet and her team at Designer Faces Makeup Artistry to get you looking gorgeous for any big event!

idea of a 2nd trial but decided against it. I spent time looking at other artists but ultimately decided Janet was the fit for us. She kept me in the loop and answered any questions I had promptly.
It was the right choice because we all looked great on the big day. Janet and Cindy were on time and so nice. It was a fun experience for all of us girls.
Glam on wedding day is arguably the biggest deal for a bride. I’m so happy we looked and felt great the entire night. I recommend Designer Faces and hope I have a different reason to use them again in the future!

t couldn’t start til 11:30 am (when venue opened) and had a six o’clock wedding start. So we agreed on four stylists for the day. Two for hair and two for makeup. Throughout the day we got further and further behind (just slow) that everyone was waiting on my daughter (the bride) at almost 5 pm to start wedding photos . The biggest issue was that one stylist, even with the girls showing her a picture didn’t get close to what they had shown her. Janet was nice about saying they could fix it but they ended up fixing their own hair, in another bathroom because they weren’t confident more time was going to produce different results. As MOB, I happened to get that same stylist for my hair. When finished, it looked like a poodle perm curled in tight ringlets and not brushed out. I tried 3 times to have her fix it but finally, frustrated I just ran my fingers through it and asked her to spray it. At 5 o’clock my daughter (bride) and myself were just getting dressed. Even rushing/cutting pre-wedding pictures, we were still 10 minutes late starting the ceremony. Three stylists were great (slow but good results) and one seemed a beginner. It was a stressful day, to say the least.

of their life. We try and go above and beyond because we know how important wedding day is to both the bride and their families. So I’m so sorry we didn’t fully meet your standards. I did talk to the bridesmaid that didn’t like her hair and she specifically said she didn’t want her to fix it. She said she didn’t want to hurt the stylist’s feelings. I told her that we didn’t care about our feelings being hurt, we just want to make the clients happy. However she said her hair was fine and that she did not want to change it. So unfortunately there was nothing I could do in that situation if she didn’t want anything fixed. :/
As far as as makeup and hair we all have years of experience. We all work full time in our businesses/salons. You do have to understand that miscommunication happens a lot and it’s not anyone’s fault. It is a very stressful day for both us (the artists ) as well as the bridal party. It’s very unfortunate when things don’t go as planned. Sometimes things are just out of our control. Were human and we have good days and bad days and unfortunately this was not a good day all around.
As far as timing, I do agree we did run a bit late 30 minutes late and for that I truly apologize. Our goal is to always do a good job and do it on
Time. Sometimes though we take a bit longer than expected because of many factors. We try to always stick to an hour per person for that very specific reason. :/
Either way I am very apologetic. Our whole team is very disappointed in ourselves. We’re very sorry we missed the mark. I know Obrei the bride looked so beautiful and I hope she had the wedding of her dreams. Again thank you so much for everything. We will definitely take this review and grow from it. :)

So the day of the weddign I got my hair done somewhere else and by the time I was getting my make up done my hair had completly fell flat, and I was so worried that my hair looked awful. Janet not only did my makeup which was incredible and everyone loved, but she also saved my hair! For my reception next year I w ill definitly be booking her for both my hair and makeup! She truuly made me feel and look BEAUTIFUL on my wedding day and I can not reccomend her enough!!!
