Designing Flowers

Designing Flowers came as recommendation from my venue and I am so thankful I listened. I had a very small budget and with 200 guests (which equals a TON of tables) I thought the only thing I could get was baby's breath and some cheap greenery. BOY WAS I WRONG! Cathy and Shelly were such a pleasure to work with. They did an amazing job giving me all of the flowers that I never thought I could have and provided arrangements that looked like they cost top dollar!!! You will not be disappointed if you chose them as your wedding day florist!

Shelly was so easy to work with, very understanding and helpful. The flowers for our wedding we absolutely wonderful and just fit our styles perfectly. Our centerpieces were in small white pumpkins and Shelly was able to make a gorgeous arrangement that really brought together the room!!

I was so happy that I choose Shelly, the owner of Designing Flowers, as the florist for my daughter's wedding! She was so easy to work with, and the floral arrangements for the bouquets, ceremony site and centerpieces for the tables were gorgeous! Shelly made the process so easy - my daughter answered a simple questionnaire giving Shelly her thoughts on her vision, her wedding colors and our budget. Since my daughter lives out of town, we had a conference call with her to go over the questionnaire, and then met with her once in her shop to go over the final details about a month before the wedding. The floral arrangements and the bouquets were just stunning. All of the flowers were fresh and vibrant! Shelly stayed well within our budget, and the flowers were all in the style and color palette that my daughter wanted. Shelly also suggested a relatively inexpensive way to enhance the ceremony site with a simple, but effective draping treatment. We couldn't have been more pleased with how the flowers turned out. I can't recommend Shelly enough!

I could have looked at and held these for the rest of my life. There aren’t enough good things I can say about our florist, Designing Flowers 💐💕 - Shelly was probably the kindest, most sincere and detail oriented person I have ever met. Dahlias ✔️ the exact greenery I wanted ✔️ the PERFECT color for the men’s boutonnieres ✔️ I could go on and on. I knew upon our initial meeting that I was going to be taken care of and that my vision and dream were going to come alive. Well, it did and more. Don’t worry, I made sure to preserve them AND the ribbon, lace and pins that came with it ❤️

Shelly was wonderful to work with. I just told her what colors I wanted, one specific flower and type of greenery I wanted and she took it from there. Everything was perfect and I received tons of compliments.

I hired Shelly for the flower arrangements for my wedding over Memorial Day weekend at Bluemont Vineyard. She was very helpful throughout the whole planning process and was happy to update my quote when I changed my mind about what I wanted (which was a lot!). I planned this wedding from out of town and was a little nervous because I could not meet in person more than once leading up to the wedding. However, corresponding over email and phone worked out fine. I was SO pleased with how all of the arrangements turned out! The colors matched the swatches I gave her perfectly and she made my pinterest dreams come true haha. I would definitely recommend Shelly to others!

Designing Flowers put together stunning flowers for our wedding day! I still can’t get over how gorgeous the centerpieces and bouquets were! Shelly was so friendly and easy to work with. We talked on the phone, and then when I met with her in the shop I was delighted to learn she had put together a Pinterest board with her ideas for my big day! She really listened to my thoughts. Designing Flowers, specifically Shelly, did an absolutely amazing job. I came in with a very minimal idea of what I wanted, I just had photos of colors and styles that I liked, and Shelly turned it into an entire event. Shelly created a beautiful ceremony arch decoration for us with flowers and draping, ceremony isle flowers, reception centerpieces, as well as bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. Everything was so well coordinated and tied in all together that it truly made our event beautiful. She was also generous enough to place fresh flowers on our cake as a bonus gift. She was very reasonably priced and did a fantastic job, I would highly recommend!

Shelly was great to work with! She accommodated every one of our requests and was very affordable. We had an April wedding at a modern style barn and she matched the style of the flower arrangements with the scene perfectly! I would definitely recommend Designing Flowers to any bride-to-be!

Shelly was wonderful and did such a beautiful job on our bridal and bridesmaids bouquets! She took time to listen and find out what we wanted for the look and details, and made sure everything was perfect and ready for our big day. She did everything she could to make this stress-free and fun. Couldn't have asked for better!

Shelly was the absolute best to work with. She truly listened to my ideas of what I wanted and completely captured my "rustic/southern/country" theme. My wedding was a month ago and I still have people commenting on how amazing my flowers were...they truly stole the show. I gave Shelly an idea of what I wanted and she worked with me to bring in my bridesmaids dress and she picked the most beautiful colors to go with the dresses and incorporate the soft blues that I wanted. I will be recommending her to everyone that I know who will be getting married, and one of my best friends (who was my bridesmaid) has already booked her for her wedding in 2018! Shelly was so accessible and responsive she relieved so much stress! Thank you Shelly for making our day so special!

Shelly did a PHENOMENAL job! The floral arrangements were absolutely perfect and everything I wanted them to be. Shelley was incredibly responsive and available. The craftsmanship and design was flawless. Her creativity with flowers is unparalleled, I got so many compliments from everything from the bouquets to the arch flowers (which people couldn't stop taking photos under). I am personally so impressed with the final product, I cannot recommend her enough!

I am very happy that I worked with Shelly and Mitzy at Designing Flowers for my wedding. Not only were they responsive and easy to communicate with, Mitzy also had a great ability to take my limited knowledge and ideas about flowers for our wedding and turn them into a creative masterpiece. Our interests, budget and ideas were listened to fully and we were able to work in some homemade design ideas which was much appreciated. I received so many compliments on the arrangements, centerpieces and bouquets and they really brought together our color theme and pictures nicely.

Shelly and her team were very flexible and easy to work with. They were able to take the pictures that I pinned on pinterest and put it together into one vision that flowed. My center pieces and bouquets were stunning! There work is always on point; however, for my wedding I felt it was above and beyond their normal work.
