Designs by Mitra is a wedding planning and event design service company based in the DC Metropolitan area, specializing in creating unique and memorable celebrations. Creative Director, Mitra Ghahramani cherishes the opportunity to work with her clients to design and plan unique events that help to foster a once-in-a-lifetime experience for newlyweds and their guests. She makes it her goal to listen to each couple’s vision in order to bring their dreams to life. Mitra grew up observing her mother, a fashion designer in Tehran who studied in Milan and Paris, incorporating traditional Persian styles and European trends into her designs. This unique blend of cultures has served as a constant source of inspiration in her work today. Mitra was inspired to launch her design company after planning her daughters wedding which was a blend of Persian and French cultures, since then she has helped to create many multi-cultural weddings, helping to honor both Eastern and Western traditions and celebrations. She offers specialized packages for Persian, Middle Eastern and Asian clientele and works together with her clients to infuse her creativity with their vision to create a unique celebration.
