From the beginning, she was super responsive and took the time to help me figure out the look for my wedding (I wasn't starting from much - just knew I wanted a "secret garden" type feel). In our first conversation alone I knew she had a vision, and told her to go with it. The execution was so far above and beyond our expectations that words can’t describe it. I loved and really appreciated the thoughtful proposal Uche put together (and changed several times at my annoying requests), but I really couldn't have imagined how beautiful everything would be the day of.
We got married at District Winery, and Uche and her team took FULL advantage of the blank canvas-esque space, complete with hanging greenery installations and the most beautiful altar piece I've ever seen. My bouquet was also gorgeous - as were my bridesmaids', and even the boutonnieres were amazing. I honestly had friends coming up to me telling me they loved the florals even more than what they had at their own weddings! Not only was the end result day-of perfect, but I know that Uche and her team worked tirelessly to get it done. When we had our rehearsal at the venue the afternoon before, they were there getting a head start (what other wedding vendor would do that!?)
I could go on about how incredible Uche is (like the fact that she hosted my mom and I at her studio for over an hour to patiently talk through details, even as she was prepping for a big wedding the next day), but the bottom line is that if you want top notch creativity and professionalism all in one, you can't go wrong with Designs by Oochay. One final thing - a friend/guest of ours happened to be a former client of Uche's, and Uche made a specific point to find her at the end of the evening to say hello and give her a hug (which my friend was super excited about), even though it was after midnight and she was trying to disassemble everything - which I thought truly showed how warm and gracious she is, as well as how much her former clients love her!

really concerned about. I had an initial conversation with Uche and she put together a proposal based on our discussion with all of my asks. As someone who's very into branding and presentation, let me say that I appreciate the effort that Uche puts in her proposals. I had received some initial proposals from other florists, and Uche's was by far the most polished and aesthetically pleasing.
Uche worked with me over the following months to refine every detail and address all of my questions and concerns. She was very professional and transparent throughout the process. Fast forward to the wedding day and WOW! Uche executed the vision to a T plus more. The centerpieces, bouquets, and floral arch were a dream! I still swoon looking at the pictures. Even my most hard to please relatives were raving over her work. I can't thank the DBO team enough for making my wedding so beautiful. You guys are the best!

We really appreciated that she met with us and our wedding venue coordinator a month before the wedding- she helped ID different things we hadn't even thought about! We had some disappointment with the flower type variety/deep color but after speaking with her we realized that this hot summer was just not great for creating the types of flowers we expected (dahlias). We recommend you keep your vision wide and open-minded so that you don't expect something in particular. Also, save your original signed proposal so that you can reference it later. Uche and her team were prompt in their delivery and even delivered the flowers to two locations. She set up the flowers so beautifully on our cake!

arrangements were stunning. The bride’s and maid of honor’s bouquet, groom’s and best man’s boutonnieres, and bridal party flowers all complemented the color scheme. The altar flowers were perfect, as were the designs for the cocktail hour tables and wedding reception head table and dinner tables. The table flowers flawlessly complemented the flowers placed on the wedding cake. All of the flowers added a simple sophistication to both the chapel and reception venues. We are very pleased with Oochay’s designs and highly recommend her as a wedding florist. I’ve given Oochay four out of five stars, however, because of the minor miscommunication of when and who were to move the flowers to be repurposed from the wedding chapel to the reception venue. No one from Oochay’s staff was present at the end of the wedding ceremony to transport the flowers, so it quickly became the responsibility of the wedding coordinator’s staff. The flowers in the larger vases on each side of the altar were to remain at the chapel until after the wedding photography was completed. Unfortunately, the wedding coordinator was unaware of this arrangement and her staff moved the flowers shortly after the ceremony and before the photography session began. The altar was a little bare for some of the wide angle shots, however, the wedding chapel photos were still stunning. With all of the details, moving parts, and vendor staff supporting our wedding ceremony and reception, this was one detail that I wish Oochay had tended to. I remain appreciative of Oochay’s efforts and designs. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. Oochay’s flower designs were a part of that beauty.

VERYTHING covered. We worked with Uche during the whole process and enjoyed EVERY minute. Designs by Oochay came as recommendation from our Day of Coordinator, Jasmine Smith & Co. During the consultation phase we provided Uche with our vision and she provided us with various options that would meet our vision and/or enhance it. We believe that the cost of service was well worth the product. In addition to the day of services, we received a lovely “Welcome Package”, onsite table mock of our design, and additional support with our wedding day décor. We were in need of a sweetheart chair for our sweetheart table and Uche was able to provide us with a vendor named “Garden of Eden” that we hired.
During our table mock engagement, Uche came to the food tasting our caterer held to provide us the look for our centerpieces. That helped us a great deal as we were able to determine what look and feel our reception tables would have on our special day. Uche even provided recommnedations for table linen choices that would best complement her floral designs. Our guests, as well as us, can’t stop talking about the beautiful floral arrangements and accessories used as centerpieces during our reception. Adding the crystal décor and candles truly set the mood for our evening reception. We are truly appreciative of the service and professionalism Designs by Oochay and the team provided as they made our event beautiful. 100 percent courteous, attentive and accommodating. Her arrangements, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were absolutely STUNNING. It set the tone for the entire reception. The reason for 4 stars is only because I felt my bridal bouquet was a strange shape. After initially requesting a round bouquet, she showed me an oblong bouquet at the appointment. Then after talking further we decided on a cascading bouquet because I wasn't quite sure about the oblong shape. Upon receiving my bridal bouquet, instead of the cascading bouquet I had pictured, it looked more like the oblong bouquet I had already vetoed on its side. The flowers were still magnificent, it was just a strange shape and I would have liked to know more about what it would look like before the day of, or to just stick with the round bouquet from the beginning. we experienced leading up to the wedding day.
First, as a vendor with a business specifically providing services for weddings it's typical to have brides which inquire about details concerning guess count fluctuations, details about decor, and anything else of importance. As a result her tone and the manner in which she responded became very off putting, which came across as Uche being irritated or bothered by our inquiries.
Lastly, the day of our wedding I was informed by my wedding planners Uche showed up almost two hours later then the scheduled set up time. The delay had a domino effect on other aspects of setting up for the wedding resulting in our wedding starting late and our wedding planners rushing to complete everything on time.
To conclude, my husband and I never received an apology or heard from Uche after all that took place. It may not seem as a big deal, however, customer service and extending professionalism along with being courteous goes a long way for any business. Overall what we received was subpar.
